""I recently visited the New Malden Public Library and I must say I was impressed"
"My toddler and I go here all the time to enjoy the children's section which is lovely"
"The collection here is big but not too extensive so it's lovely to just browse through, choose something and sit to read it"
"It's a cute place with sweet staff, but apart from the children's section there isn't really a wide range of books which sort of defeats one of the main purposes of a library"
"This library is a godsend if you have 16 year olds taking their final GCSE's"
"I recently visited the New Malden Public Library and I must say I was impressed. The staff were friendly and helpful, providing excellent customer service. The library itself was clean, organized and spacious, making it easy to browse through the large selection of books available. I was also pleased to find that the library had a good selection of current magazines and newspapers, as well as a variety of audio and e-books. The children's section was well-stocked with a range of age-appropriate books and activities, which is great for families with young children. There are computers with internet which can be used for 1 hr for free. One thing which could have been better is reading space. There is limited sitting place and difficult to find chair on peak hour. Overall, I highly recommend the New Malden Public Library. It's a great resource for the local community and a wonderful place to spend a few hours browsing through books and enjoying the quiet atmosphere."
My toddler and I go here all the time to enjoy the children's section which is lovely. I haven't been impressed with the selection of books for adults unfortunately, their religious section especially is lacking but it is a small library. However they do rent DVDs (for kids and adults) for around 1.50£ and have a very up-to-date and high quality selection. After the recent renovation (March 2017) all of the check out systems are electronic which is quite efficient.
The collection here is big but not too extensive so it's lovely to just browse through, choose something and sit to read it. There's a separate room for fiction, so don't wonder why the main area is full of reference and travel books! It's not too large a building so everything is laid out around you in an easy to access sort of pattern. The staff are nice and pretty helpful, too, so the whole experience is rather pleasant.
It's a cute place with sweet staff, but apart from the children's section there isn't really a wide range of books which sort of defeats one of the main purposes of a library. Wifi is a little straggly and there isn't much space to work at peak hours, but all that aside, the environment is nice and cosy.
This library is a godsend if you have 16 year olds taking their final GCSE's. It is one of few places left where there is complete peace and quiet and they can study unimpeded. If your children are coming up for exams next year visiting here is a must,
Fabulous place. Popped in for a look see. Haven't been in this library for a while. Nothing much has changed. It's traditional. Lots of original features. Worth a visit. Lots of local useful information on the notice boards.
Staffs are incredibly kind and nice but the books in the library are all rubbish. Compare with another council they must to be improved their service and new books. This is kingston council. Very disappointed …
Reasonably quite library. Shame it's shut on Wednesdays. Not the largest selection of books but it has WiFi and friendly staff.
The library staff was very kind and helpful. It was excellent experience after I had a difficult time with my home printer.
Nice selection of books including a kids zone area with large section of children books from young age to teenagers.
Reminds me of my childhood and summer reading! Went with my friends little girl for story time it was really good
tiny library with poor signage and no sign off staff anywhere so i had to leave and find another library
We love the children's library which is always well-organised. Kind staff and free wi-fi.
Very helpful and tollerant, unfortunately issues with toilet but very helpful otherwise.
When it was fully functional it was a great place to read books and get books.
a great place to read and study; printing and use of computers available, too
Very friendly staff and decent collection of books for children and adults.
a bit old now but it still has great books. great place to work also
Well stocked library, free to enter and has meeting rooms to hire.
Brilliant staff and an excellent array of children's books
