I am rating this only as a pop culture film location. Nothing else. The exterior angles of this NYPD Precinct house were used as the home base precinct for Theo Kojak (Telly Savalas) in the 1973-78 television series "Kojak". Years later for "NYPD BLUE" 1993- 2005 it was the roost for Andy Sipowicz ( Dennis Franz )
I called the 9th precinct to complain about the noise level on my street at 12:40am on 10/12/17. I was told by a policeman earlier at 10pm that the "Bowery Jews", (which is a bunch of NYU Jewish kids dancing around) had a permit until 12am.
Visited the 9th precinct to file a formal complaint. While taking our report, Officer Cepeda-Santana showed genuine empathy to my mothers situation. Her professionalism and patience assisting an elder while communicating fluently in Spanish
9th Precinct officers came to Tanya Towers for a community meeting. They were very nice and professional, especially to the Deaf and Deaf-Visionally Impaired members. They answered many questions as the meeting time allowed. It was rather

I’d prefer to give them 0 stars. Needed help because my fiancé’s mouth was burning- we just wanted to reach to the police about this and help find the man that was involved in this long story, but the policemen made jokes out of the
Worst experience with the police in my life I went out of my way spent 30 minutes of my time to give back and I'd and some debit and credit cards and the police officer in the precinct treated me so nasty would never go back
August 15th 2012 I went to this police station to ask for a report claim about an item sold via paypal, as request by paypal, and they refused to do it explaining that is not a crime....... very rude and not helpful at all
They helped me with a parking issue where an 18 wheeler was parked in front of our building for over 4 weeks. The officers were awesome and professional.Thank you NYPD 9th precinct and serving the community.
On 5/29/16, at 7 pm, I went to the 9th Precinct to report a lost Iphone 5s. I lost it, while shopping in the Astor Place Kmart. The Police Officer that took my complaint was very kind, nice and helpful.
I was wrong to have posted that pig picture and have bias. it's not fair to blame everyone for the actions of two. I am ashamed of my behavior and am sorry for doing that.
So insane!!! They told me I have to go to another police office to report the case in person, but after I arrived there they said I just need to call. So stupid!!!
Just watched them beat the heck out of a mentally I'll man, screaming commands at him while he was already on ground, beat in head with a baton smh
My son did a Ride-Along with this department he had a great and fun experience with the police officers, he said he would love to do it again
Someone bought my Id to the precenct. The have my Id. I have to bring them I .D to get my Id. makes sense?
My friend lost her phone & they were absolutely wonderful. So helpful & polite. Thank you PO Murphy.
Too bad there is not a zero star rating for these ticket-slinging, soulless robots.
Not willing to answer calls and quick to arrest others for no or racist reasons.
Very professional police officers and detectives. New York's Finest.
Very nice, helpful officers that honestly care about public safety.
No-one there ever picks up the phone, very un-professional.
No bigger trash than the buffoons at this dept
