Despite having a limited selection compared to Washington Square we try to patronize this location to support downtown. However, the customer service can be inconsistent. I have shopped at Nordstrom for decades, am a cardholder, shareholder and Ambassador loyalty member. That means little to one manager "Hailey" who flat out refused a return because it didn't meet the Nordstrom "policy" (there is no policy). This has never once happened before and the item was returned with no issue at Washington Square (only an apology). The "Shoe Dogs" who work in the men's shoe department are more interested in talking to each other than customers. Literally, I am in there head to toe in items bought at Nordstrom and ignored. Most recently I was charged for alterations to a jacket that didn't occur and had some pants hemmed incorrectly. To add insult to injury, I was charged a "rush" fee for the "alterations"! Be sure to open any box you have delivered to the store as well, I was given a pair of $1500 Louboutin shoes that weren't mine which I could have walked out with if I was dishonest. Given how poorly it represents Nordstrom, this store probably should just close if they can't find better managers.

What can you say. The one place where a plastic made bag, and I mean plastic for well over two grand is one of the weakest, gotta have type of almost anything. It's a bag, you put stuff in it. Does it magically fly also? Spent my first 30 years only shopping there and After going in and treated most rudely simply asking for a splash of something they didn't have I tried another and wasn't my taste and ended up not impressed. I will say that I don't have teeth and seem to fit a certain profile. This is Oregon as I grew up in Eastemoreld and we can be pretty ? To people that have a face like I do but use to be a stunner. I'm not putting anyone down but I have been reviewing for a long time. I'm simply pointing out that it seems people are on 2 or 3 types of looking at things and anyone honest enough with themselves has thought like that. I have. I'm human but I don't look down on people. The days of even saying hello to each other are few and farbetween. I shopped at Nordstrom 90% through to college. The last time I came through it cost you $$$$$. I would have thought you guys learned something about social educate. I'm not ashamed of the way I look and nobody should. I'm just saying.

First off if you plan to come here parking isn't easy at all unless you plan to spend over $50 where Nordstrom will validate. Once you park and get inside it's like walking in an Ikea for clothes and accessories for men and women. Customer service all have smiles and is ready to make sure you either get something there or they can order one in your size. Customer service I gotta say they have empathy. You go in clueless and can walk out with whatever outfit is needed for the occasion. Prices are what they are. You want quality, you will definitely pay the price. Security all around so no homeless dare walk in there even if it's just to use the bathroom. Clean floors and aisles. Showcases clean. Customer service in all departments dressed to impress and ready to give service.

To take advantage of the free parking, one must park at Fox Tower (enter off Taylor St) and spend at least $50. If street parking is preferred, try Park Ave from Yamhill south toward the art museum. I want to like this location more. But, outside of menswear, women’s athleisure, and shoes, the selection is pretty limited. They do have a little bit of everything, but buying online offers so much more. The Nordstrom app is a good one. The one thing that will never fail you is the customer service. As others have said, the experience at Nordstrom is what shopping is meant to be

Today I had the best experience with - I believe her name is Judy. She is truly amazing, very nice, kind, helpful employee with awesome energy. She made me feel confident and very comfortable. She helped me so much. This was probably the best shopping experience with an employee in my entire life :) I enjoyed it so much! Thank you Judy :) I definitely recommend shopping here!

Wanted to let you guys know how great of a ppl you ll meet in this Nordstrom. I can't say enough how good, helped, heard. .loved even I felt there. Courtney Posey was helping me. Nice to see a Nordstrom’s with so much selection & in the original Nordstrom’s brick architecture. pleasantly surprised. Tons of security but it’s DT Portland so totally warranted. Hope they are able to stay open! Lots of Chanel, Gucci, Balenciaga, and dozens of others I know nothing about.

This is a wonderful place and the staff are knowledgeable of there departments. The were able to help me with any question I had. Specifically the guy in the men's cologne section. Very impressed. This is a place you can go with confidence.
