"This is my regular HEB"
The store often doesn't have items such as Dr Pepper made with real sugar in cans. Dr Pepper insists they're available but no luck! The last visit there was no angel hair cabbage. These are only a couple of examples. When filling out the onlie requests I often receive some sort of excuse of why its not available or how I need to adjust my schedule to get there before it runs out. Lol! No. I'm the customer asking for items I need, your customer service in this area is complicated and inconvenient. I would like to be able to ask a manager while I'm in the store about any items I need. (Like in the good ild days). Another observation is the coupon system with the app, none of the cashiers know how to use it. It's frustrating to know that money saving is available but because of inadequate training, I'm not able to get the discounts offered. Seems a bit bait and switchy to me. As someone who is challenged physically, I often look for somewhere to sit down. This store has no benches outside, up front near the cashiers, or anywhere that I could find easily. Yes, there us seating in the pharmacy but it's sometimes difficult to get all the way over to that side of the store when all I need is a quick rest to regain my strength. As someone who is looking to better my health physically. Walking around the grocery store to shop is something taken for granted by many people. I'm looking to leave the motor cart behind, so benches around the store would be nice! There is no other grocery store I'd rather shop at, so this isn't a review threatening to go somewhere else, it's simply some observations I've made for improvement. Thank you!
This HEB has employees who make assumptions about people of color when the people who were overheard making this assumption were Hispanic female and the other person was a White female with very very short masculine-type hairstyle. The Hispanic female took upon her very young mind to say to the White female, "Do you see the tall Black female with the big scary dog I think she was and before she could finish the White female says to her she didn't buy nothing I'm sure! My husband left before he heard anything else he left bc by then he was angry! I didn't buy anything bc the young Hispanic lady tried to follow me blatantly following me from the front of the store parrelling my route searching and breaking her little neck looking for me. So the two items I had were put on shelf on isle 11. I find that it's amazing how other races put all person's with Brown skin in the same box especially Mexican-Americans it's heartbreaking. I work in healthcare I help people everyday all races. Then when people in my race react accordingly to the insinuations or accusations we are this and that. All I have to say is do not be of a different box that's when the people who believe they're superior to everyone and who they believe doesn't fit their mold you will not be able to shop for groceries at this location in peace.
It's HEB. Good prices, decent selection. However, this store is ALWAYS super busy and they never have enough check put lines open. The employees will yell at you if your mask slips down a bit. I was screamed at by an employee at the front doors because my mask sat a little low on the bridge of my nose. (My entire nose and mouth were covered by my mask.) Also, there are homeless people everywhere in the parking lot. I cannot walk to my car from the store without being harassed by homeless people, asking me to give them the food I just bought for my family, or demanding that I give them money. They also set up at the "intersections" in the parking lot with signs, and usually their children, to guilt people into giving them stuff. "Security" here is a dude walking around occasionally, or sleeping at the picnic table in the parking lot. My husband and I have started to shop at Randall's across the street. The only things we get from HEB is dog food and shower supplies, and we go to the HEB on Lakeline and 183.
Best store ever!! Wish we had one in Virginia. Can't say enough good things about this HEB. Right from the beginning, entering the store, a staff encouraged us to download all to automatically save with coupons and specials associated with the re-grand opening. Browsed about 30 minutes more than needed because there's so much to see. Prices are beyond reasonable, wide variety of everything you could ever need, and staff eager to assist with any questions you may have. Overall, great experience.
This is my regular HEB. I gave nothing bad to say about this place. If I had to say something critical about this HEB, I guess the vegetable/fruit section can get congested when it is busy. Otherwise the staff are helpful. The seafood is fresh. The deli staff is always pleasant and the bakery is A1. The parking can get tight because some of the nearest parking to the grocery entrance feels like it is for compact cars
Well I am excited that they are upgrading the store, not having carts available in the entrance, extremely small parking spots, and a somewhat disjointed organization make this a place I will avoid until they’re done. In the meantime, they need to go back out and repaint the parking spots with an additional foot for each one. There’s no point in having those small parking spots if no one can park at them.
This is the HEB at 1431. It's a good store and has good selections. The shopping center itself is very congested. There is a great boutique in the center. I highly recommend it. You will find Starbucks and a fajita take out place from Houston. I have not bought from them there is no sit down space except for 1 table. It's more of a take out place. Tomlinson's pet store. A really nice pet store.
I used to live near this heb and love it. They recently updated it and the produce section is huge, deli section with salads and sandwiches has so many options. I drive out of my way to come here when I can. Curbside pickup is always fast and friendly and delivery is service is great as well. Even if they make a mistake, they are quick to fix it for you and easy to contact.
Love this HEB. Especially with all the remodeling of the store. They have so many more options in their bakery, there deli section. The employees are amazing. They are always so willing to help. Plus the pharmacy staff is always on top of taking care of me with my prescriptions or anything that I need from them. I also love that they always remember my name. Thank you HEB!
I love shopping at HEB because they carry quality products at reasonable price. Each HEB is unique because their inventory is adapted to the neighborhood where the individual store is located. This HEB has an exceptional produce department. The only downside to this store is the crowded parking lot. But, that's an indicator of just how good and popular this store is.
Parking for this HEB seems to be pretty challenging most of the time. It appears as though they are expanding it by about a third and moving the curbside over to the Great Hills side. Great idea to help ease the traffic burden in front of the store not to mention the valuable parking spaces taken by the curbside pick up service feature!
Went to HEB off N. Hills. It was under construction and filthy. Very crowded and frustrating trying to get a wheelchair through there. They no longer give bags for your groceries which was a surprise to us, and a bag isn't a lot for a customer to ask since the place is a mess, that's the least they could do. I would not recommend this HEB.
Have always loved this place for the past decade. It's gotten tremendously busier over time. Parking spots can be narrower so drive a smaller car. Store is older and dated on the inside but staff always had it well stocked. Go there early for better selection of meats (brisket) otherwise common products and cuts of meat are easily found.
This was my first Austin HEB when I landed here 17 years ago. My first flat was nearby on Great Hill's Trail. Anyway... This facility is in the middle of remodel right now. I visited last weekend after getting my hair cut. The remodel funk was a bit of difference but the staff at this HEB?? Still delightful, as always. ❤️
This place was clean easy to park at and not a ghost town plenty of handicapped parking and there are some businesses which have closed obviously due to covid but it not abandoned feeling in any way you can tell the owners and or tenants have pride of ownership and are doing the best they can to promote, I liked it.
I really like this HEB, even though it isn't the closest to me. From the Bakery to the Meat & Fish counters I haven't been let down. Also they have a whole Kosher meats (plus other goods) section. I was surprised recently to learn that they removed the customer service desk from the store, I'm confused as to why?
Great shopping center! HEB is an excellent anchor store, and there are great smaller stores like See's Candy. There's a McDonald's in the center as well, right off the main road. There's a lot of available parking, but this center is almost always busy, so sometimes you may have to drive a bit to find a spot.
I like this location. It's easy to park to get in and out. And it's a little smaller store. Which I prefer Over the giant ones that you have to wander around for an hour and just to find what you want. It's a little farther From my house Then a couple of other locations. But it's worth the trip.
Almost forgot to get this vegan pizza been wanting to try it for a while well see how it taste its made out of Cauliflower any huuu!! Will do update on this. UPDATE: its not Vegan my bad the crust is made of Cauliflower and got slices of pepperoni. Its ok ,not Tony C's Pizza but does the job.
There's something "special" about visiting a "foreign" HEB. The Great Hills store is much larger than the "home"" store at Tech Ridge. Nothing is easy to find. I wound up walking the entire store TWICE. Almost found everything on my list. My only true complaint is finding a fee cracked eggs
This is a semi fun store. I'm handicapped so I used 1 of their scooters get what we needed. This store has literally everything you can want or need. The reason I gave it 4 stars and not 5 is because it seems like every isle had a giant pole making it difficult to maneuver smoothly
Under construction but still one of the best groceries stores in the area. Still waiting for one to hit North Texas (Sanger) but until then any time I find them they will get my business. Lots to choose from. Great selection away from the ordinary in both food and beverage.
Overall same as any HEB store. However I feel it's small and its layout could've been made better. The staff I met there seems friendly but quite and shyer ( reserved) then those in other stores across the city. They have better selection then a local 24 hour one I go to.
Usually, I would give HEB 5 stars. But although I like what their doing with the remodel, I'm not a fan of the interior renovation and what seems to be a lack of coordination. I'm sure it will turn our great just not a fan of the process at thus specific location.
Nice HEB even though it was under renovation. Produce was well stocked and was nicely displayed. Cashier was very proficient, courteous, and helpful. Was especially nice being less busy on a Thursday afternoon, which made for a pleasant shopping experience.
We're so lucky to be Texans and HEB is just another testament to that! Great selection. Lots of Texas grown, local farmer support. Has gotten noticably more expensive with world wide inflation. Look at the price of Egg Nog! Outrageous! Still love my HEB!
I'm an out-of-stater, but always make a stop at HEB when I'm in Texas. It started with refreshing my supply of Texas pecan coffee, but the turkey cranberry salad is a must now too. Better then that though is the friendly, helpful and hard working staff.
I've heard tales of H-E-B's greatness, and they were accurate. This was one of the best grocery stores I've ever been to. It was well stocked, there were plenty of people working, it was a dream. Definitely wish we had H-E-B on the East Coast
I’m an austin native and grew up with H‑E‑B, specifically at this location. Sadly, it’s not commensurate with newer/larger H‑E‑B’s in the area. They must have recognized this and are trying to add more square footage by swallowing some of
I LOVE HEB. The store is nice and clean but the parking lot is horrible. People simply do not know how to park. The parking is overcrowded and tight. It is a bad mix when people do not know how to park within their lines. I have had to
This HEB has a little bit for everyone! Large selection of items and is beginning to get more organic vegan items! They are adding on the store as well so I predict they will have even more stuff! This is MY HEB!
HEB always has our needs. We usually go to the HEB in Bastrop, where we live. We need two more HEB's, one near Cedar Creek & Hwy 21 and one near Smithville because things are growing very fast in this area.
Pre-9am shopping at its finest, great selection, no lines, didn't have Romaine, but enough green leave that it's okay with me. Staff is always friendly and love the fresh fruit and bakery options.
Great HEB has some central market exclusive items at store that you don't see at other HEB. Currently under construction, you should have better shopping experience once they are completed.
Under construction/expansion. Place is a big mess. Parking spaces are way too small for American cars. Hard to shop here currently. Maybe it will be better once construction is completed.
This is by far the best HEB in Austin. Overall great selection of all items. I dont know this HEB layout too well so took me longer than usual however will be making this my home store.
It's nice but so crowded. I mean all HEBs are crowded, but this in specific is more than others, it's nice because people is very gentle, and nice! I like do my grocery shopping here.
My home HEB and my favorite HEB! I love the staff and leadership here!! The store always looks good and there are plenty of self-checkout registers. Staffed checkout is always fast.
Love this H-E-B! Love the new facilities, looks great! I was able to find almost everything I need, (low on wet cat food). The cashier was very friendly, kind and fun! Thank you!
Find it at the HEB, at the HEB, at the HEB. Check out lines move fast even at rush hour. You don’t need Dora the explorer’s map to find what goes where. Good wine selection too!
Again. Inventory control.... Doesn't seem to be any. Inconsistent throughout the whole store. Lots of employees just standing around talking. At my job, we would be fired.
Love that they remodeled this location. Been going to this HEB for about 9-10 years, but it's all mixed up and everything is so confusing to find. Not so organized
This is the perfect combination of Meijer and Publix supermarkets. Great variety, prices are really good in comparison and they have a large Brazilian selection...
This HEB is under construction (like several of them are) so things are a little confusing and/or difficult to find. I'm sure the makeover will be well worth it.
I really liked there spacious dining are. They seemed to be very busy at the drive thru but had no problem providing fast service and cheerfully inside as well.
The Braker Lane HEB is the place to shop! They have great prices, and great food. And even though it was busy, I was through the checkout lane in five minutes.
Beautiful store. Clean, neat, well-stocked and staffed. Got everything I needed, easy in-out through Self Checkout, associates were friendly, courteous.
The best HEB Expanding to an HEB Plus. It has the nicest staff, always clean, and has impeccable customer service. The fresh meats are always on point.
Consistent across all of the locations that I have visited. Great food and coffee. The potatoes are the best. You may have to wait, but it is worth it.
A really nice HEB. It is in a quaint neighborhood. The signage on the inside makes it look less like a Costco and more like an Aldi's or Trader Joe's.
I have shopped at other HEBs. This location has friendly and helpful Associates. I was looking for a good Chardonnay, an associate recommended one.
The supermarket is huge, great prices, friendly staff. Found everything what I wanted.will definitely recommend to others and will be back soon.
Subway Sandwich shop Girl on her phone behind register… Then come ask what kind of sandwich… didn’t wash her hands or sanitize her hands at all…
As all HEB's, it has commodities that reflect the community it is in. Lovely store and have shopped there before and will continue to do so.
Half of the shelves are empty. Blame it on supply chain issues and the pandemic? I don't see the shortages in Randall's just close by.
Great food selections, clean store, helpful friendly staff, good prices. Visiting from out of town & had a great experience , thanks!
Still under some construction, But a nice clean, roomy & well stocked store. A good shopping strip, with other eateries & shopping.
Back in the 80s, I would hear many people refer to H-E-B as "The Heeb". I hope this is still the case at North Hills HEB.
Awesome place.. new to this area .. lines are just like Walmart... Only a couple open out of how many! ♀️Lol... …
Great HEB, amazing butchers and service. Parking is not an issue. ADA compliant and a nice neighborhood feel
Clean and plenty of choices in flowers as we got some for our daughters culinary school graduation.
A clean store with a great selection. Take your own reusable bags or pay .30 each for theirs.
Nice, professional big HEB. I really like they layout. The partners are extremely helpful.
The Heb has always been one of my least liked grocery stores -- its popularity baffles me.
The store got a much needed facelift which is great but the parking lot is not the best.
can you really ever complain about HEB....They really do have pretty much everything...
Stores very organized, have everything even cosmetics all vegetables are fresh …
Clean store and very friendly and helpful associates. Home goods section …
One of my favorite H-E-B's! I love the produce especially and the Bakery! …
Fruits and vegetables are always fresh and in stock. My go to place every week.
Love this HEB!! So clean and organized and staff is kind and helpful!
Always going to different H.E B. If I'm in the area sightseeing
Customer service was great. Very clean and friendly employees.
Huge! And had everything i wanted. Associates very heloful.
Visited pharmacy, a bit busy but didn't have to wait long.
The sushi section at this HEB is much bigger than at 620.
A bit hidden but they had what we wanted. Friendly staff.
Recently remodeled, and significantly improved selection
Great for picking up essentials for family get together.
Had everything I needed. Good selection of fresh food.
Good store i live cross town had everything I needed.
HEB Store not as clean as most I have been into.
The construction is finally done outside. Yeah.
Great renovation. Friendly and helpful staff.
Good place to stop and pick up supplies.
HEB is great where ever you go in Texas.
We love shopping HEB on vacation
You gotta love HEB
