"Extremely rude personel tonight! I use this station everyday, but this evening the Easy Access gates where I could bring my bike through were all closed, and the only employee there (tall man with glasses) was talking on the phone, so the only option left was a regular gate"
"The North Sydney Station is a busy transportation hub, not by the number of train lines running through it, as trains arrive and depart here punctually via the T1 North Shore and Western, and the T9 Northern lines, but by the sheer amount of commuters using it, due to its close proximity to the city centre and its strategic location by the roads and motorways, making it close to several interest points in the area"
"This station is quite convenient from the location standpoint because it has quite a few lines passing by and it may be considered the railway hub of the north shore along with Chatswood"
"I had lost my gold chain in a train and I quickly report it in Sydney lost and found and after that the same night I got a call from a staff name sriza and said that they have found the chain I did not had any hope to find my chain because of the staff honesty and integrity I was able to retrieve it back "
"Amazing service from David and his team, who kindly retrieved my headphones after they fell out of my bag and onto the tracks"
Extremely rude personel tonight! I use this station everyday, but this evening the Easy Access gates where I could bring my bike through were all closed, and the only employee there (tall man with glasses) was talking on the phone, so the only option left was a regular gate. While going through it, it suddenly closed on me, hitting the bike against me, at which point that employee (still on the phone) came to me saying that I can't go through there, and when I was trying to explain that this time I had no other option, he opened the easy acess gate (which was still displaying the red cross) and told me: "Yeah, yeah, you should hurry before this one closes on you too!" Not even an explanation or a sorry and continued his conversation on the phone. I have never had a bad experience with staff members before, but this was truly upsetting!
The North Sydney Station is a busy transportation hub, not by the number of train lines running through it, as trains arrive and depart here punctually via the T1 North Shore and Western, and the T9 Northern lines, but by the sheer amount of commuters using it, due to its close proximity to the city centre and its strategic location by the roads and motorways, making it close to several interest points in the area. It's considered small, when it comes to train stations of such importance, as the platforms are not wide enough to cater to the huge passenger flow and some facilities are a little old school, but it's quite clean and the facilities in the Station are well maintained, white the staffs stationed here being kind and helpful as well.
This station is quite convenient from the location standpoint because it has quite a few lines passing by and it may be considered the railway hub of the north shore along with Chatswood. The downside is it was yet built with a mindset where there probably was no concept of population growth, so platforms are narrow. If you walk into the station 30 seconds before the time of the train you want to catch - especially during peak hours - you probably can’t make it because people in droves will just try to get out the same stairs/escalators you use.
I had lost my gold chain in a train and I quickly report it in Sydney lost and found and after that the same night I got a call from a staff name sriza and said that they have found the chain I did not had any hope to find my chain because of the staff honesty and integrity I was able to retrieve it back . Thank you to all the staff members from north Sydney station . Thank you to sriza and asif that kept my chain safely .
Amazing service from David and his team, who kindly retrieved my headphones after they fell out of my bag and onto the tracks. I can only imagine the logistical and OH&S nightmares my predicament caused, yet everyone who looked after me was incredibly gracious and understanding. I truly appreciate the help and can’t speak highly enough of the staff at North Sydney. Thank you so much! :)
More often than not I've had a good experience here. They have several toilets available just past the gates into the station. On the occasion I've had to urgently use one, it was clean and tidy. The station platforms themselves are clean and tidy too. I can be quite crowded around 5-6pm and they do put a barrier up to try and force people further down the platform to spread out.
This train station gets quite busy in the morning and the evening but they do a good job with the space they have to get people through. I hardly ever see anything not working or if it is not working it isn't for long (thinking of the escalators, elevators, etc.). For the number of people that come through it is quite clean as well.
Lost my air pods pro on the train of T1 Line.A kind person picked it up and handed it to the North Sydney station office.Lucky me when I met the train station staff who named Michelle to help me to get the air pods back.Really appreciated it for those lovely people that helped me today. Thanks so much!! :)
I use this station a few times a year when I visit my daughter, so am not a daily commuter. I've found it always clean and the staff helpful. The lifts are a bonus when I have a large suitcase and the adjoining shops are handy to nip in and grab some lunch or fresh fruit or drink before heading out.
The multiple ticket gate setting at North Sydney Station reminds me of something from a sci-fi movie. All the ticket gates look ready to rise up as one transformer styled robot and scatter bored commuters. I suspect that will happen one day and the bored commuters will be too pre-occupied to notice.
Busy station on the North Shore line with trains stopping every five minutes or so in peak hours. Greenwood Plaza is right next door with food and shopping options, handily located in the heart of North Sydney’s CBD. Can get crowded at times (pre-Covid) so you may have to wait for room on a train.
Station is generally clean. Gets very busy during peak hours. As a customer leaving from North Sydney during peak hours, the gates open to allow me to tap on are sometimes rather illogical, making me need to push my way through the throng of arrivals to get to the gate I can enter through.
The fact that it's nestled right in the mall/marketplace, use this everyday to go to work. Really clean and well maintained. Always end up getting off and getting myself a nice coffee before heading to work. Old mate at the gate was so nice just with a big smile greeting everyone.
I catch a train to this station every working day. Really reasonable staff, helped me find my lost wallet. Gave my instructions, a card with a number, directions and let me through the gate. Toilets are always clean and the station is well looked after.
A very nice station! It allows easy link to the busses that are going all around the North. Additionally, an easy access to the shopping underpass with many food outlets is a plus. I just really like the design of the station too.
Great station my fave is the guard Michael who i ss when i catch the 3.15pm Emu plains train .Always polie Always friendly.Always calm.Thankyou Michael you are sn asset to Sydney transport and North Sydney station :-)
Very nice station with amazing view if you go out of the station and to the left. Easy access to greenwood plaza with shops and restaurants. Station has easy lifts that take you straight from platform to the street.
The volume of the advertisment on the platform is way toooooo loud and it is irritating , can't you give me a quiet time while I'm on my way home from a long day!!!
It's a underground station.there's a bus stop when you go out from the station.it's a busy station when it's morning and the service in the station is so good.
One of the cleanest, nicest looking stations on the network. Not a lot happens here, staff are always on their Iphones or reading the newspaper.
North Sydney is the heart of CBD and a home to some of the global giant companies with an iconic backdrop of Sydney Harbour Bridge.
My favourite train station. Lots of people here, not as busy on the weekends. The skylight is very nice.
Very crowded station north of the harbour bridge, if possible Waverton or Milsons Point are preferable.
Next to North sydney station, there is a hidden lookout, beautiful night view you can enjoy :) …
North Sydney is great for shopping or taking a stroll along Lavender Bay and other parks around.
Clean station with attentive staff available. In and out of the station is easy and accessible.
Love Sydney trains and this station is integrated to a mall with many shops and food court.
Why stations have only one ticket machine. 2017 and people still have to queue up!
Frequent train services, escalators and lifts to all the platforms. Always busy.
Why is there only one ticket machine?! I missed 2 trains waiting in line.
Average station, t1 line comes every 15-20 mins depending on time of day.
Visited North Sydney pretty much after 2 years! Was a great sight.
Good station with well placed timetables at the entrance.
Facilities and access in/out to the station is great !
Clean, easy to navigate - can get busy at peak times.
Beautiful place, clean and tidy. Beautiful location.
