North of Brooklyn’s limited menu is focused on pizza with a couple of salads, garlic knots, and a choice of two desserts rounding it out. The garlic knots ($4 for 6 or $7 for 12) are chewy and satisfying without being overly greasy, but I wouldn’t waste too much stomach room on them in lieu of pizza. A fresh salad like their Caesar ($14) pairs nicely and is large enough to share amongst four to five people. The dressing isn’t overly heavy, which compliments the bacon, semi-dried tomatoes, and grated grana padano garnishes. But let’s be honest, people are here for their pies. The dough has a sourdough finish and is stretched paper thin yet still arrives well toasted and crispy so there’s no sogginess, not even at the centre. The medium pizza yields six decent sized pieces, but because it’s not overly heavy, you can easily knock back four slices without a thought. It’s best to budget a large pie for two people and two medium pizzas for three. I have fond memories of their kale and bacon ($21 for medium or $29 for large) and am glad to see it’s a combination they still make. The oven crisps up the kale, so it become almost chip like and there’s plenty of double smoked bacon chunks to even satisfy my carnivore husband. It’s also a nice white pizza (the base made with garlic oil instead of tomato sauce) to have a different flavour from the other options. If you want flavour, the killer bee ($21 for medium or $29 for large) is a wonderful combination of spicy, savoury, and sweet. Chunks of peppery Italian sausage creates a richness amongst the gooey cheese. While the pizza could become too heavy, the pickled jalapeno and spicy tomato sauce gives it a heat that helps balance out the pie, while honey provides a sweet finish. I can see why this is one of their most popular pizzas. The margherita ($19 for medium or $26 for large) is a classic and thankfully the cheese is now more evenly distributed than my first experience. Still with the plainer pizza, I would have liked if they finished it off with a sprinkle of sea salt as the cheese less sections tasted rather plain. I guess it’s an excellent opportunity to add on a dipping sauce and their creamy garlic ($1.50) is the best version I’ve had. It’s certainly garlicky with chunks seen amongst the mayonnaise, but I like the addition of chives that add a fresher finish. It’s also a nice consistency, not too thick so that is becomes a spread, but not too thin either. Just be mindful, it’s a flavourful dip so a little goes a long way.

Creamy Garlic Dip
The restaurant has an 80’s wood aesthetic with very friendly staff. In the early afternoon it is self service (seat yourself and you go up to order) and then after 4pm it is table service (staff seat you and they take your order). We had a margarita, killer bee, and truffle pizza. I personally loved the margarita pizza the best because the mozzarella cheese is delicious and it is paired well with their garlic dip. Their garlic dip is quite potent, so fair warning if you don’t like your garlic too strong. The honey and jalapeño made the killer bee sweet and spicy, which was such a pleasant combination. I am definitely going to try putting honey on some of my dishes. I would have preferred if the truffle pizza had a stronger taste of truffle. I love everything garlic, so I had the garlic knots and they were everything I would want from it. Overall, I highly recommend this restaurant and I am looking forward to coming back again

What can I say about North of Brooklyn, it is definitely up there as top pizza joints in the city. I can never choose a number one as the review is not meant to compare with other spots but rather review their establishment. I visited their newest location on Avenue and it is shiny. Light golden, very pretty inside for certain. There is like a small confusion on how to pickup orders but probably my fault for not seeing the signage that you don't have to line up. I have had several different pies at a few locations so far, and it is all good things. Every signature is loved, great topping variation, nice char on the crust, the crust I think is on the chewier end but with a decent crisp. And there is a fair number of air pockets which makes the crust feel not too airy but definitely a good bite. It is a tasty spot and I would love to dine in one day and have their pizza fresh. There is always that take out dilemma, where depending how far you live you cannot always enjoy it hot and fresh. Otherwise, a good spot will keep coming back.

Some plates and utensils weren’t clean and had to ask for clean ones. As soon as we asked for a box for leftover pizza slices, the server asked if he can clean up our table and started putting things away. My children were still eating and we fell very rushed. We were indirectly forced to ask for a bill. Ordered two pizzas and one of them wasn’t even put on the proper stand. Will do a pick up order next time but do not recommend dine in.

First timer - loved it! We gave the large Meatie a whirl. First off, the crust was amazing and fantastic for dipping. Try the garlic sauce by the way! We ordered the East Coast one...nope, not my jam. I'm obviously not East Coast enough for that. Back the the Meatie, great flavors from great toppings. The spice might be a little much for some but I loved it. The staff was super friendly, I need to go back for an in-person dining experience. The kitchen was hopping and looked like fun to work in. Skip the easy franchises and give this place your pizza biz.

Ordered the Vodka Verde and Killer Bee. Both pizza’s were great. I’ve been to the Queen St location, it was very busy and Queen St location does not have proper indoor seating. This location has minimal indoor seating, with full dine in service. The service is a bit slow as the workers are still running the counter for takeout. However the food doesn’t disappoint.

We regularly visit the Downtown store. Had been here recently to check out this location and was more leaned towards visiting this location as they have spacious seating which gives a chance to enjoy the pizza hot and fresh. It’s not as crowded as the downtown one. The pizza was nice, but felt that the downtown quality is much better. The food doesn’t leave you disappointed for sure.

I find it comical when establishments refuse cash payment and yet they have no problem accepting your cash tips let's not forget, cash is stil legal tender folks and for some the only form of currency. It's also the foundation on which small businesses started. I thought this was a small ma and pa shop until I looked them up and realized it was a large chain which figures. This will be the first and only time I shop here and will continue to support small businesses that I'm sure make a far better pizza and will gladly take my cash and not just for tips.

Been wanting to try this pizzeria for some time now and finally got the chance, it was well worth the wait. Very clean, nice interior pizza place. Small menu but very effective, ordered the pepperoni and killer bee pizza (must must try) definitely a top contender for best pizza in the city. Take my word for it and go try them out!! You won’t be disappointed And to quote one of my favorite rappers from Brooklyn “Now if you don’t know, now you know”

Came here on a whim after trying takeout from their downtown location. My party and I were pleasantly surprised with the vibe of the location: the design of the restaurant, the friendly staff, and a perfectly curated late night vibe playlist all combined for a pleasant sit down and eat experience. The pizza is arguably better than the downtown location as you are able to try it before it gets cold from takeout/delivery.

Feel it’s worth saying as this pizza is possibly the best in the city- EAT it there and don’t eat at home - at the very least it’s 30 -50% better. Lighter and more enjoyable. Eating it there is the only way. I live across the road — I know- I’ve tested. Pro tip - Dave P. knows. Do not let it sit in box if you can please

The pizzas I ordered were mediums and arrived cold ! My major complaint was the cheese was just a sheet of loose leaf paper and didn’t have any weight ! I’m from nyc and live in Brooklyn with excellent pizzeria like difara where the late Dom made one of the best pizza in nyc. This has no texture, and very disappointed! The kale was toasted and had no substance and the cheese is my biggest complaint!

Love their pizza here, my favourites are the Tuscan Kale + Bacon and the Killer Bee. My husband always gets the NY Cheese. It’s his favourite in the city. I did recently try the limited Short Rib Birria pizza which was good but I wouldn’t order again - it had a lot of potential.

I am very glad to see a new location in toronto. Many have already spoken about the quality and the authenticity of the pizza from North of Brooklyn. Well I can confirm. Although I did not get to use the restaurant dinning room yet I had the pleasure to order a fresh medium Margarita Pizza and their amazing garlic knots. I am not sure which one is my favourite, because both were amazing. For sure ordering again

I opted for the Killer Bee pizza at this pizza restaurant. The thin dough was delicious, and the tomato sauce had a stronger tomato taste than what I'm accustomed to. If you prefer less sweetness in your pizza, I recommend exploring other options on the menu. Overall, a satisfying choice with unique flavors.

Finally made it to the Avenue road location. One of the best pizzas in the city. I love thin crust pizzas … and I like it crispier than the chewy texture so they accommodate for that - you just need to tell them. Ordered the margarita, truffle shuffle and killer bee. They were all on point!

This review hurts me as I really enjoy their pizza from here. Unfortunately, it was the worst cutting job I have ever seen on a pizza before. This made sharing quite difficult, especially for 3/4 people. Sorry North of Brooklyn, but for $34, it would have been nice if your staff took the time to properly cut the pie! Photos attached. More
Solid pizza with gourmet toppings. Love getting the sesame crust on the simpler pizzas. My favourite is the killer bee - perfect balance of sweet, salty and spicy. I really enjoyed the texture and the thinness of the crust. The marinara sauce has an interesting strawberry jam flavour that you grow to enjoy with every bite. More

The whole family loves this place. We've tried a few of their pizzas and enjoyed every single one. The service is great and the restaurant is nice and comfortable. We bought their hot sauce and it goes perfectly with their pizza. We will definitely be returning.
Not really big on pizza, but this didn't disappoint. Vodka verde was excellent. Only complaint is that the pizza was extremely floppy, but that's down to personal preference. Add your own chili flakes for a welcome kick.

This was my first time trying this place and I loved it. I ordered a medium Killer Bee with a side of garlic knots, and some creamy garlic+marinara dip. Had it delivered via DoorDash and thankfully the temperature was fine when it arrived,
Starting going to the original location on Niagara when it first opened. I firmly believe Brooklyn set the wheels in motion for the gourmet pizza revolution in Toronto. Many restaurants followed and few still cannot compare to the quality
So i've seen a lot of reviews about this place so I thought I would try it. The pizza was fantastic, The service was excellent, and the overall experience was better than expected. I ordered the new york cheese and it did not disappoint.
Incredible pizza. Crust is perfection. I can say that North of Brooklyn has the best pizza in Toronto. Quality is great, consistent with their other locations. This one has a bright and open interior with dine in space. More
We had the pepperoni and it was *chef kiss* for reference we went during the day (12-5) and it was self service which I really liked.
BEST PIZZA IN TORONTO! staff are wonderful, the pizza is incredible! NY cheese is my go to, but anything the make is amazing! More
Extremely mediocre - I expected a lot more for the style & reputation of the restaurant, especially coming from dave portnoy.
