Light rail station
"Not bad but not great"
"Godawful station design"
"This is the far most north station of Seattle light rail system"
"Great option to go downtown but beware that the free parking is very limited so if you are using it for a Seahawks, Sounders, Kraken, or Mariners game, you will need to get there really early"
"Location is mostly good, and the above-grade trackage works well"
Not bad but not great. + good transit connections to bus during most of the day + wide sidewalks adjacent and on platform with enough covered seating/standing area +near 24 hour security seems to keep crime to a minimum. yes, there will still be people loitering at road level, but they seem mostly harmless. eg so far i've not seen acts of vandalism or other crime with security present -great to have the Lewis Bridge over I-5 to go straight to the station from points west - long signals for cars from I-5 and adjacent streets for which bikes and peds must wait. need to employ ped/bike signals and change faster when bikes/peds are present -before 24 hour security was paid for by ST, bathrooms were ruined. according to several security guards, those bathrooms will not be reopened for foreseeable future. portapotties mostly used by the unhoused will remain. for related reason the bike room won't open -needs some kind of express service even if at reduced frequency 1+ hour from northgate to angle lake is not competitive with driving, sometimes even during rush hours -nobody seems to pay for link. i'm sure some percentage have employer sponsored cards which they don't care to tap on/off, but that can't be 100% of adult riders. and nearly every time i'm here, i see exactly 0 people tag their cards. i'm nearly floored when i do see someone tag on/off.
Godawful station design. Busses will spend 10 minutes trying to get into the station and let passengers out because of poor design layout, and then passengers will need to navigate around the poorly designed multi story monstrosity with constantly broken down escalators only to make it to the platform just in time for the light rail to depart. The people who okayed this awful design should be tied to the tracks like in an old western movie. I cannot wait for the Lynnwood extension to be completed so I never have to visit this cursed station ever again.
This is the far most north station of Seattle light rail system. The station is modern, well-designed, clean, neat, and safe as usual. It helps local people reduce the travelling time between north and sound around 25-30 mins (tO Seattle Downtown). From this station, you can have a beautiful view out looking the whole Northgate Downtown, Northgate Mall or the I5-North. Overall, I feel happy and excited with the new station
Great option to go downtown but beware that the free parking is very limited so if you are using it for a Seahawks, Sounders, Kraken, or Mariners game, you will need to get there really early. It's a shame that SoundTransit didn't get more free parking since the whole point of the light rail is to alleviate the parking and traffic to downtown.
Location is mostly good, and the above-grade trackage works well. Can be a bit annoying to exit the station, but not a problem once that's all figured out. Design is great, especially with the ped. bridge incorporated into it, and the glass is wonderful for letting natural light in. Very good terminal station.
Link Light Rail extension is a life saver! This new station is clean and has a lot of space. Well connected with buses going further north, and close to the Northgate commercial center, Kaiser, and North Seattle College. This is a great station that serves people.
Pretty good, regardless of which side you choose, you can't make a wrong choice as it is the end of the line, and both will send you down to Angle Lake if you're on it long enough, and back, if you get back on while at the other end.
Northgate station, the place where you really dont need, too much patience, got a train coming every couple minutes and a bus to get in, so you know, there ain't a lot of waiting.
Parking sucks and is expensive, but once you get past that the station itself is great. Easy to navigate and the rail to downtown Seattle is easy. Trains come every 10-15 minutes.
It is great to have a train station near home. Would be five stars if it had retail stores and other amenities on the premise, like a typical transit hub in most other countries.
Convenient above ground station with great bus connections and nearby retail. Also nicely connected to adjacent neighborhoods west of I-5 with cool pedestrian bridge.
Park to ride the light rail downtown to Seattle, great ride, some of the excelato ride didn't work,I hope they will soon get repaired. Great stay in Lynnwood.
Never arrived right time, never went on the time, always late or go faster + - 5mins, need to fix right Link’s arriving time even i came earlier I missed it
Station is mostly clean but I would not want to be here later than 11p or so. No active security or watching of people sleeping or other vagueries.
The station itself is great. However, the Northgate Mall is undergoing renovations, so the pedestrian usability of the area isn't great there.
Northgate station is a transit station with trains and buses that come and go with concrete everywhere
It will be crowded after-work time. Also, no empty sit for the next station. …
Nice station modern yet still feels like the rest of the stations
Light rail is fun, a lot of people sleeping on it however.
I wish this place sheltered from the rain better
The porta potties are scary. Look out.
