Every year, a huge group of 100+ people get together to celebrate Jamaican pride. I try to attend annually because my best friend thinks I can blend in with the friends and family oriented function. Lots of laughter, food brought by attendees, food cooked here, live DJ music, socializing, and games for the kids during the 8-hour bash! The City of Toronto lists this park as civic address 140 Stilecroft Drive in North York. The public entrance into the park however is on Sheppard Avenue West between Jane Street and Keele Street. Drive through the entrance gate about 200 metres to get to the large parking lot. Northwood Park has 7 Bike Trails, 1 Drinking Fountain, 1 Fire Pit, 1 Parking Lot, 2 Picnic Sites and 1 Washroom Facility. The park is 25 hectares of greenbelt that follows the Black Creek ravine south from Grandravine Drive to Sheppard Avenue.

Northwood Park is situated between Grandravine Drive on the North and Sheppard Avenue on the South. It joins Derrydowns Park on the North and Downs view Dells Park on the South. This park has a huge parking lot that can be accessed from Sheppard Avenue, West of Keele Street or East of Jane Street. There are some large designated picnic areas, close to the parking lot, where you can enjoy a group picnic with your family and friends. This park has a washroom facility that is the basic requirement for all the picnic parks. The washrooms are clean and well maintained. If you like to walk, a nice paved trail leads you to Grandravine Drive on the North and the road takes you to Sheppard on the South. Whether you are a walker, biker, picnicker, nature lover, alone or in a group, this place has everything to satisfy, amuse, and exhilarate you.

Long walking path, big trees all around, clean toilets. The problems are dogs with out leash every where and all the time. Some are a very dangerous types. They come close, sniff walkers, my wife experiences visible stress every time. So I only give 2 stars this time.

This is a private house of an Italian family who go over the top for Christmas and are very successful at it. Lovely people and all donations go to Sick Kids. This is a major job every year taking three to four months of work. Well worth the visit.

This is not a very well maintained park, if your looking for a spot to walk your dog this is not it. There is broken glass everywhere in the summer and its never cleaned up. Lovely spot in winter when its closed and there's no people around.

Huuuuummmm just close your eyes, breathe in and feel that cold, peaceful breeze!!! I love walking in the park in the winter. It's all white all around, makes me think of purity, clear conscious. Wow I just love it. So crazy beautiful!

Great place to walk the dog, wide open grassy areas perfect for family picnics, or just to lay on the grass and contemplate life. I live riding my bike through the park from one end to the other on cool sunny days.

  • Davide Trabona

Nice place to walk your dog and the people who pass through are all very lovely. There are also plenty of benches so that you have have small gatherings and still be slightly socially distant from everyone else.

  • Taylor Vo

A really nice park for you to go picnic in the summer. It just got that classic good vibes where there are fresh air, river and people gathering around on the grass singing and having BBQ.
