After contacting several electricians, I found O'Brien Electrical in Yarraville most informative and cost effective. Erin the principal was most informative and provided the best solution to my broken rooftop solar system. He advised me on the benefit of upgrading the system to maximise my solar rebates vs replacing the redundant inverter to a quality brand for efficient electricity generation from existing panels. Erin's advice was non-biased and in the end I decided to upgrade the old Sunnyroo inverter to a Goodwe inverter based on my current PFIT arrangement with the view that it will pay itself off in 18 months and then consider a major upgrade in 2 to 3 years time if the system costs continue to fall as they have over the years. I booked the job in with a lovely lady who gave me numerous time slots and I got the impression O'Brien work to a tight time schedule and said they intended to be on time. I was booked in for the 23rd of August 2021 which was a three week time frame to enable O'Brien's to order the Goodwe inverter, however on the 12th of August Erin rang me and said the inverter had arrived and would I like him to install the following day. He said we could come at 3:30pm on The Friday afternoon and he rand me at 3pm on the Friday and said he was going to be on time, and he was. It took Erin 90 minutes to install the new inverter at my home and invested another 30 minutes to download the app on our mobiles and explain the functionality which we had never had with our previous inverter. I can now see how much electricity I am generating on a minute to minute basis, as well as how much we are generating on an hourly, daily and soon be monthly basis. It's just fantastic to see it working and I can't recommend O'Brien Electrical in Yarraville enough.

Erin and his team always do a great job. This is now my second job with them and they went above and beyond to deliver. They slotted me in with a very last minute request. My house had also been bond cleaned and they were respectful enough to clean up after themselves and did a very good job. The lights look amazing and so happy with the move now to LEDs. Really looking forward to doing more renovations/new builds with Erin and his team. I really like how they operate. O’Brien’s Yarraville was a great service to work with, the staff are very professional and courteous. A friend recommended them to me. They provide emailed quotes and itemised receipts and have great communication. I received a call well before our appointment time to let me know that the electrician was running late due to another job and to ensure the time would still be appropriate. I’m very happy with the light installation and the reattached light fixture that had come loose from the ceiling. I’d definitely use them again and would recommend them to others.

Nick & Jim were available quickly, arrived promptly, were very pleasant to deal with, & worked efficiently and flexibly when I realised I needed extra things done, with good problem solving skills to work out solutions for a 'non-standard' home. They were patient with my lack of preparedness, willingly moved furntiture etc that I couldn't, did a good professional job, and put everything back/cleaned up after themselves. Can't ask for more than that!! Will definitely use them again!

The staff at O'Brien are always professional and extremely responsive. They provide expert advice and excellent service for a great price. They are conscientious in their work and friendly to deal with. I have called upon them for a couple of different jobs (surveillance camera installation and fan + A/C installation, along with some more minor switch and power outlet replacements).
