We once preferred to fly to and from o’Hare. No longer. It’s become a traveler’s nightmare, even for local flyers. As construction starts to wind back down, the failures in design are glaring. One airport cannot simple scale up to be everything to everyone. ORD is completing massive changes including to Terminal 5, the tram, and parking. Runways were reconfigured and several added, creating massive traffic jams and delays that affect the region. Because Delta moved to T5, immigration and customs had to be redesigned. This recently meant a guest I picked up had over a 90 minute wait from when she got to the gate, to meeting me at door B. Because of airline consolidation, travelers have few options. Airlines order lower fares from o’Hare by subsidizing them using airports like Milwaukee. Many international delta flights will leave from New York or Atlanta. Originating the same flight from o’Hare will be $700 but $1500 from Milwaukee. Airport and parking fees, plus just getting to ORD, is so much more difficult, and I live almost equal between the two. Most of us use the bus, but because of construction and Coach USA not able to find enough good employees, the bus has become unreliable. Chicago’s recent redesign still includes the blue line train, but does nothing to address Metra or Amtrak, or help with their schedules. The transportation center was not significantly improved for bus or train connections, or easier access to hotels. Little to no significant signage exists to help travelers - recently at T5 I tried to help a British family who has been to Chicago before just trying to connect with their rideshare that was at T2. Flying from Milwaukee was preferable, but it almost always requires a layover in Chicago if you fly United or American. I recently lost a significant amount of money when a connection on American flying through Dallas couldn’t make it - American refusing to do anything. Now we have to avoid that airline for business travel because Chicago has become almost dysfunctional and American offers no additional options. Ohare was once my favorite airport. It is no longer, and we try to avoid it when we can. It’s a problem created by both the city and the airlines. Flying ord means half of a day of productivity just lost in each direction. It also means higher airfares everywhere else.

Terminal 5: Unacceptable for a USA international terminal and airport. Upon arrival, the baggage claim area was an absolute nightmare. People were everywhere. The exit was not clearly marked which created a web of traffic and bags. Luggage was parked all over the floor. I've never seen such a disorganized mess in the US. Upon leaving the airport, police were yelling at drivers in the passenger pick up area. I couldn't help but wonder what those passengers arriving to the US for the first time would be thinking. I was embarrassed by their behavior (so agressive and stereotypically American in the worst way) - and also embarrassed by the idiots who can't follow directions and park in passenger pick up areas. Traffic to the pick up area is terrible. I suggest picking up passengers in the departures area. Departure was awful as well. Security lines were ridiculously long. There was no clear distinction between the wheelchair, precheck, and clear lines. Half of the TSA staff were rude (as usual). The others seemed like they were just trying to do things right to get through their day. There was no available lounge space (card and affiliate programs were blocked from entering the swiss port lounge due to booking of one single flight's elite passengers. Not that the lounges in terminal 5 are great anyway as there are not even bathrooms in the lounge. Again, for an international terminal, ORD is lacking. I'm usually disappointed with my transfers and treatment at this airport, but this latest trip was dismal.

The most difficult to navigate Airport for international flights, especially if you are taking a domestic flight first to reach there. The elevators taking you to terminals are so small only one cart can fit inside and everytime there's someone inside, I had to wait for 30 minutes before I could get on it, luckily my flight wasn't until after 4 hours. Once you get off it, there are no clear directions as to where to go next and I had to rely on the airport staff, there again the same problem of a small cubicle of an elevator and waiting another half an hour. Once you do get to the trains, they told me that carts are not allowed on the trains. How was I supposed to carry my 2 suitcases, carry on and a personal item? This airport is insane, they just don't care about people's comfort or satisfaction.

We flew Southwest Airlines, which flies into Terminal 5 - the farthest terminal in the airport. There’s a food court at the beginning of the terminal, and those are the only really food options in this terminal, other than all the vending machines on the way to the gates. I wish they had vending machines noted on the map, so that patrons can see what options they have. My boyfriend and I ordered from two different food stations - Wow Bao and Urban Olive. Both were awful and underwhelming. I ordered a combination kung pao chicken bowl with dumplings and my boyfriend ordered a pita sandwich with fries. We both regretted it and would’ve rather ordered food from the vending machines. Will likely not fly with southwest (or any airlines that flies into Terminal 5) next time, if flying into this airport.

Sooo big! I had only positive experiences here. The bathrooms were clean and large and there were plenty throughout the airport. The airport felt slightly outdated compared to other large airports but this is not really a complaint - especially since it seems they are actively updating it. I had a five hour layover and felt like there was plenty to explore. We ate at the Cubs Restaurant and it was surprisingly delicious. Victor and Jon were lovely and so were the cooks! There is a helpful and kind security-man that works near the escalators near Terminal 5. I would not hesitate to fly into O'Hare International Airport in the future :) thanks guys!

Chicago O'Hare International Airport (ORD) is the main international airport for Chicago, Illinois. It's the third busiest airport in the United States and the seventh largest. It covers 7,627 acres and has four passenger terminals. O'Hare is a major hub for United Airlines and American Airlines. It's also a focus city for Frontier Airlines and Spirit Airlines. O'Hare has non-stop flights to more than 200 destinations in North America, South America, Europe, Africa, Asia, and Oceania. The TSA recommends arriving two hours before domestic flights. O'Hare has a new mobile ordering service for food and retail called ORDer.

  • Windy Ronteltap

It's very cold in the airport.... uncomfortable cold. The bathroom I used was dirty. One of the men employees was very short and rude with me when I was trying to ask a question. He wouldn't even listen to the question. Lines are long and people here are pushy and rude. A lady at United airlines was very nice to me and helped me. Also one of the women at the passport check was really kind with me and helpful. Employees at the stores and at Chills restaurant were not friendly. Finding your way through the airport isn't too bad but there are definitely better airports. I'll try to avoid this one in the future.

Putting a Terminal 5 review out there for anyone (like me) who saw the photos of the long security lines and panicked! I arrived at 8:30 on a Thursday morning and got through the pre check line in under 15 minutes. Of course, there are many factors that can affect long security lines however, earlier this year there was not a designated pre check line, so it was a huge improvement to see that finally in place. The other lines were running smoothly as well. The improvements throughout the terminal are very nice although not fully complete. So grateful for a smooth travel experience!

  • Steven Ludwig

Terminal 5 isn't really ready yet. There should be a sign that says "No restaurants past this point," because I walked a LONG way down to Southwest only to find out that nothing is really open down there yet. It's going to be nice when it's finished. However, I had a great meal and good conversation at Torta's (once I walked all the way back). Kudos to the bartender! The terminal itself is bright, clean, and reasonably quiet. Give it a few months to get everything open and this will be a great spot (and a great workout -- Southwest is at the very end of a very long terminal)!

  • Omar Alqaysi

“O’Hare International Airport is an excellent airport with top-notch facilities. The airport is well-organized, clean, and spacious, providing a comfortable and efficient travel experience. The staff is friendly and helpful, ensuring smooth check-in and security processes. With a wide variety of dining and shopping options, O’Hare offers plenty to explore during layovers. The airport’s connectivity and transportation options make it easy to access and navigate. O’Hare International Airport is a reliable gateway that leaves a positive impression.”

  • Abhishek Gundugurti

The decision by City of Chicago and O-hare airport officials to expand and construct a multi-story parking lot at Terminal 5 IS THE WORST DECISION. THEY ARE HUGELY INCONVENIENCING THE PASSENGERS. You want to hear an even worse decision and action by O'hare airport officials? to have low-cost, cheap carriers in Terminal 5. It shows the worse representation of Chicago to international travelers leaving the United States in the form of huge lines, unruly passengers, and overall inconvenience to everyone.

  • David Udin

I had a very short layover here between flights due to the airline changing the schedule. I never thought we'd make it through passport control, three tram stops, airport security, and the long walk to the C gates from the tram stop. Despite O'Hare being its usual madhouse, everything was going smoothly, and we made the flight, the last passengers to board before they closed the door. I'd still avoid going through O'Hare if I could, but they do the best they can. Just pray for good weather.

  • Leticia Torres

O'Hare International Airport falls significantly short in several major key areas. Firstly, the airport is in desperate need of refurbishment and expansion. Security procedures are a nightmare with long queues and a lack of clear directions. Food options are disappointingly limited and subpar, lacking a good coffee establishment and the customer service is among the worst I've ever encountered in my travels, and I travel extensively. If I could avoid this airport I honestly would.

  • RoseAnn Dollens Melcarek

A lot of construction going on and you can have good staff or not so great staff. Had a great experience with passport check-in.. had a great experience with customs.. had a good experience with the police officer and his dog by the baggage claim... Had not such a great experience with the workers standing congregating by the baggage claim didn't feel like answering my question... Had a really poor experience with the traffic control person in front of arrivals 5D

  • Alexander Shugaley

The ATS is so terrible. So terrible. So bizarrely terrible. Waited 20 minutes! For an automated, internal, people mover. Mind you, this is after they spent TWO YEARS “reconstructing” it. The management should be ashamed of themselves. In what world is this acceptable? I would quit on the spot out of self respect if I had any responsibility for such a failure. But they have no shame. Just collect taxpayer money for doing absolutely nothing.

  • Paolo Tolosa

Significant upgrades are being made in the airport but definitely taking a long sweet time. The experience of coming to this airport has gotten incrementally better over the years, TSA seems to have a better attitude than before. It does a pretty okay job accommodating your needs before your flight. Much more food options in the other terminals, terminal 5 is quite limited. I'm assuming a lot of the restaurants are still in construction.

  • Anthony R

Customs took over an hour to clear. Despite being peak season, there were plen5 No helpful staff anywhere and a gate change meant I missed my connecting flight. Immigration staff generally very slow, chatting and fist bumping so didn't give a great impression of them being entirely role-focussed. It's poorly signposted once you're in places. Within elevators, the train between terminus etc I would actively avoid this airport in future.

  • Mr. Moneybags

One of the worst airports I've been to. I had a connecting flight, the first was from a foreign country back to the US and customs takes forever, then you basically have to leave the airport, go through security again, and then get back to your connecting flight. If you checked any luggage, you have to pick it up and recheck it. Truly a terrible layout for an airport. Don't route your connecting flight/s through here. Ever.

  • Mark Deverill

Flying from Terminal 5 was an unpleasant experience. Small terminal with little space before security. From checking in bags to passing security took 1 hour and 50 minutes and was chaotic. Photo is half way through the security queue which started way past the check in desks. Staff were shouting impatiently at people about getting into 3 lines and moving when needed. Horrible and I fly internationally 4-5 times a year.

  • Rajavel Selvaraj Ganesan

Busiest and takes longer wait time to clear security Terminal to terminal transfer also need to take airport transit Even clearing security on prior flights , you still have to come out of airport to take airport transit and then do security again Hence, it delays a lot. Plus their screening systems are old and hence, they ask to take laptop , iPad and electronic items out - which takes more time as well

  • Paul Joseph

Flight arrived almost 20 minutes early remarkable huh...lol, But didn't matter as we hadta sit out on the tarmac 4 that 20 mins n wait 4 an available gate 2 open. Airport hasn't changed much appears 2 b under sum kinda construction, still pretty easy 2 navigate 4 the size obviously but we put n near the International terminal n hadta walk all the way 'round 2 the main. Got sum steps n fo' sure

  • Sareen Kibran

Has improved a lot over the years with dedicated train transfers from rental car drop off to all terminals. But if you wanna keep your sanity, buy a clear plus security check pass and May be a Amex lounge access if you can afford it. Else, the sheer crowd of folks passing thru this major terminal can be daunting to navigate especially if you have some time to kill before your boarding.

  • Shahzad Daudi

Very long and very slow lines .. we stepped off an international Swiss Air flight coming in from Zurich, 9+ hour flight ... and had to wait in line for over another hour for immigration ... very unbelievable considering O'hare is supposed to be a international airport .. very poor representation of our USA .. very easy to improve, but for our last two flights, it has been the same.

  • Joseph L

It's an Airport! (INFO: if you fly SW Airlines into O'Hare be prepared for a very long walk from the gate to your baggage and/or exit to street. SW only has a couple gates and those are at the very end of the International Terminal. Not at all recommended - especially if you are traveling with children or you are already tired from a long day. (Pay the extra and fly into Midway)

  • David Ramos

I was pleasantly surprised by my experience after hearing more than a few horror stories. But honestly, I fly monthly for work and this airport has never caused me an issue. I find it to be pretty clean and organized compared to most others I've been through. Definitely give yourself enough time to get anywhere because it is huge, but the workers are friendly if you need help.

  • Marirose Lucey

The customs area went faster than usual. That whole are really needs an update. It is the first impression some people have of the US. Other airports in Europe are so much nicer. Example: after deplaning there is no bathroom before you hit the customs line. We have waited over an hour for this and it seems easy to understand after a long flight people may need a restroom.

  • Lee Goldner

The plus side was that we had someone who was confined to a wheelchair and a young man from a contract service helped us immensely in getting around the airport. The bad thing is that whoever is running this airport needs to make a distinction in their signage between location of the airport parking lot shuttles and the hotel pick up shuttles. Extremely confusing!

  • Diane Huebner

O'Hare is big and busy, but it's better organized than other major hubs. They don't put you on those Mad Max buses like LAX to get to your terminal, they don't kick you out of the security zone and make you reenter security like Heathrow or JFK when you're changing terminals. Everything is integrated, the terminals are pretty, the food is great. But I'm from here.

  • Rajeev

I’ve always liked O’Hare AirPort as it’s a friendly airport albeit chaotic at times. My experience is that check in is always smooth but due to ongoing construction arrivals mean a long walk and narrow walkways. The recently upgraded bathrooms are great though. The solution to a smooth check in and getting security quickly is Global Entry.

  • paroo kadia

I had foot problem, the airport crew saw and insisted me to take a wheelchair, I refused but she explained me I am requesting you as I see you are in pain. My assistant Harry was very kind, coming back home with this amazing service from O’Hare airport made me feel welcome back home more fun Kudos to airport crew …

  • Josh Merrill

This was an all around bad experience. Landed and sat on the tarmac for over an hour. Once we got off the plane, we waited over an hour to get our luggage and we missed our connection and we were given no options but to pay for our own hotel. Thanks American Airlines. And customs sucks, it's worse than going to other countries.

  • 10TheDragon

Good airport to use for more quick flights with departures, had some trouble with directions and navigation. Was more troublesome trying to get through with different utilities like transportation and arrival with off boarding transit, but this was most likely due with the airline itself. Staff were respectful and helpful.

  • Lara Bernhardt

Until they finish this new terminal be aware!! I breezed through security thinking I’d find a place to eat closer to the gate, but I walked .9 miles towards the gate and nothing open yet but a small pop up where I paid $5 for a horrible drip coffee. If you have any mobility issues, get a wheelchair, it’s a LONG walk!

  • Anirudh Kapadia

Terminal 5. A lot of construction work going on. Prepare for longer immigration and customs. Lots of passenger pickup car owners just park their cars in pickup zones and walk away, making it difficult for other cars to leave with their passengers. The police need to petrol more and ticket these type of pickups.

  • Emilio Useche

The check-in area feels small for the number of passengers/companions at the airport. The security checkpoint at Terminal 5 is fast but it feels crammed. Once you pass the checkpoint, the terminal is ample and clean, but, other than one Dunkin' Donuts, there are not many (if any) options if traveling at dawn.

  • Vishal Thakkar

If you need to drop or pick up loved ones from T5 in ohare and need to go in terminal then it’s gonna be pain. Due to construction work for parking lot D, you need to walk a lot… departure is pain due to too much crowd, not much space even to walk due to long lines and slow moving.. arrival is itself is pain…

  • John Hutchinson

If you can avoid the cab stand you will be a happier camper, they force you to go to terminal 2 to use any of the services from the 21st century otherwise it’s old school super expensive and gross taxis. The silver lining is that you will appreciate the progress that Uber and Lyft has made everywhere else.

  • Marilu Carvallo

Nice airport, just too far away from downtown. A taxi charged me $75 for the ride a 545am. Everything else is fine, enough store to buy food items. Immigration officers are nice and fast when you arrive, not asking too much question like in MIA, cubans de mariel think they arrive in the mayflower.

  • Derek Andrasic

Everything about this airport is terrible. Flying in from an international flight is a total nightmare. The level of disorganization and horrible attitude by almost everyone who works there is astounding. I would never choose ORD and would have flown into any other airport if I had the option.

  • Alison Doolittle

Helpful staff. They're the best thing about the airport really. I'm grateful to them! The passport control/customs took 1.5 hours. I know the staff is doing the best they can but there has to be a way to make the lines move faster. I'm glad I had enough time to make my connecting flight.

  • Emma Green

Despicable customs situation. I have never seen a line so long. Almost everyone on my plane will be missing their connecting flight because of this line. I have never been more disappointed in an airports lack of preparation. If possible, I’ll avoid O’Hare for any future flights.

  • Anuj Gupta

Specific to Terminal 5, T5 is under construction so food options are pretty limited. They do have pre-check and Clear, despite the website saying otherwise. Makes a HUGE difference when using this terminal. You can't get a regular rideshare from here, but you can get a black car.

  • Rob Martinek

If the construction in Terminal 5 ends up like Gates M28+, this place is going to be a preferred location for travelers. Right now the gates under construction are outdated, cause crowding and complicate the travel experience. Hurry up Chicago! Make our travel journeys better!

  • Sharon Rumley

Huge airport. Going from one potential to another is somewhat easy but signage isn't the clearest so I had to ask for directions. Be prepared to walk if you are in terminal 5 that goes from gates M1 to M40. Of course I was at M36 which is a 15 minute walk from security.

  • eio

Don't fly from here. It's a horrible airport to come to. So many people, it takes you literally like 1 mile just to exit the terminal. Then, to take Uber or taxi good luck. I always go to Midway airport. Private and small. Never again i will come back here again. Nasty!

  • X yz

Terminal 5 is under expansion, that's great but they have exposed ceiling, no fans or AC running. I have asthma and was having difficulty breathing, I had my inhaler, thankfully. Terminal 5 with so many people in that area, should not be allowed to be open to the public

  • Arijit Chakraborty

My home airport! Very convenient with awesome connections across the globe. Lots of construction happening around the terminals. So getting better. Still I would prefer an ORD over many of the East coast airports. Only qualm… it’s time to bring in a Centurion lounge.

  • Sherry Gallup

This was my first time in O'Hare airport. All the staff were so friendly . They showed me which gate I needed too be at for my flight I was in line for a half an hour going through security . No problems my first time on an airplane and it was a good experience.

  • Roberto Baccaglini

I did not try much of it, just arriving and departing from Termnnal 5. I found the departure area of the Terminal quite small and packed with little space for passengers. I know they are implementing changes and I look forward to see them in the near future...

  • Tobias Wolfe

Being 10 o'clock at night, it was very quiet. Hardly any signs for uber/lyft. Can only get Uber Black at Terminal 5... otherwise you have to transit to terminal 2 for the $20 ubers. No signage boards in the baggage claim area. It is clean and well lit though

  • Jeremy LaCamera

TSA agents are rude and disrespectful. The customs station has over 40 lines but 7 were open today with easily 500 people in line today. Took over 2 hours to get to our plane on departure day and over 2 hours to get out of the airport when we returned.

  • Venkatasubramaniam R

One of the important and biggest international airports in the US. Every minute witnesses a take off or landing. Restaurants, shopping keep one engaged till boarding. Serves mostly passengers from WI, IL, IN, MI, OH states for international travels.

  • Steve Head (The Steven Head Agency)

We have traveled through many countries and world airports. I’m not sure if it’s because I’m more familiar with the American system of doing things but compared to Amsterdam and London (for example) I’d prefer O’Hare over the other two hands down.

  • Christian Stöckle

It took me 2.5 hours to get through Immigrations and be able to leave the airport. The line at the counters was several hundred meters long. As a transfer airport you should not choose a flight that allows less than 2.5 hours to change planes.

  • S Jay Bonilla

Today was easy to get through security. No long lines. Everyone was nice and helpful. I guess I just picked a good day to travel! We had plenty of food and shopping choices as well as some shopping and souvenir places. Good experience today!

  • Georges Brown

Terminal 5 is another world from the rest of the terminals. It has a modern and futuristic design that sets it apart. The spacious layout and abundance of natural light create a welcoming atmosphere. The shops and restaurants in Terminal 5

  • CallMeConvay (Constant Commentary)

Took well over an hour just to get through customs, and I guarantee you will too (returning from int'l flight). No, this is not accounted for in your connecting flights. You will 100% miss your connection if your layover is under 2 hours.

  • Jo Cruz

O'Hare International Airport is an exceptional gateway to the bustling city of Chicago and beyond. From the moment I stepped foot in the airport, I was greeted with efficiency, professionalism, and a warm atmosphere. The facilities are

  • Tabeer khan

Large airport, terminal 5 is newly made . You must reach well in time for international flights . You can from one terminal to other through free airport trains. You have limited free wifi access as well. Its a busy air port of Chicago

  • Mark Heydenburg

The International side is very efficient. I flew Ethiopian airlines and it was fast and friendly. The TSA was efficient and helpful. The terminal was not as busy as this was Thursday. All in all it was my best O'Hare experience.

  • Janesh Rahlan

Officer Wessner in terminal 1 is a great example of a guy abusing his power with a badge. Hope he can find control or love in other areas of life so he can let passengers travel with solid food without making them dispose of it.

  • Becky Acosta

Busy time at O'Hare. Departing on Wednesday, it was smooth with precheck. Coming home international terminal 5 was very busy. Global entry was fast! It took longer to walk off the plane and get to customs than it did to exit.

  • Brian Flory

I'm always mixed about this airport. I fly out of here more than others, and I either have a very good or very bad experience. Today's was good. Easy to get off the plane, through border control and to the hotel shuttle.

  • Kirk H

This place is outdated and extremely inefficient. It shouldn’t take an over an hour to land taxi, disembark and make your way to a gate in a different terminal. I wonder how many people miss connections at this airport.

  • Karen Biow

This is the worst international Airport on the planet. Gross incompetence. Literally takes two hours to go through customs. Disorganized and incompetent.Avoid at all costs.lax or out in 25 minutes maximum with luggage.

  • PJ Fisher

So many international flights came in around 6pm. Baggage claim was a hot mess! Finally found my bag after 30 minutes. It was off the conveyor and on the floor!! No info showed from our plane. They need more space!

  • Norman Thompson, Jr

Domestic flights are great, but U.S. Customs was slow, felt dysfunctional and no one knew how or could help with form 19 CFR 148.1 form (personal effects taken abroad) glad I didn't have any issues on my way home

  • zeeza ks47

Very busy... long line to clear immigration more than 1 hour...unbelievable! Not organized, create bad impression for people come to US for the 1st time. Definitely will try to avoid fly through Chicago Airport.

  • Randy L

Thanksgiving week. Food court needs to be cleaned, trash picked up. C’mon ORD, you can do better! Someone should warn you that Gate 38 in Terminal 5 is about a one mile walk from security! ATS train is great!

  • Bryan Walker

Going from domestic to international terminals does not require leaving and reentering security, but only if you get lucky and get directed to a poorly marked option at gate G17. Poor way to help travelers.

  • John Reddersen

O'Hare's international terminal is great to fly out of if you arrive early for an evening weekday flight. Basically no wait through security and they're still in a great mood at that point.

  • Steven Kozak

The airport is very big and mostly busy. I needed assistance and they were on the spot for everything. A lot of great places to shop and get food if you are here for a layover of any kind.

  • eka lavya

Terminal 5 short-term parking n access to terminal are now terrible because of construction. Allow time to find parking n walk a long distance to terminal. Signs are not very helpful.

  • Maria Ivek

We waited more than 1 hour for the passport control. Our luggage arrived on the wrong belt. There was no parking at the International terminal 5. In short, it was an absolute fiasco.

  • Mohammed Ashour

Passport control was atrocious. Agents were doing their best. But get nearly 2000 people through 8 agents is REDICULOUS. Predictably, missed my connection despite a 2 hour layover.

  • Craig Buchanan

It's an airport, so there's only so much they can do to make it pleasant or easy to pass through. Signage is good, and there's a transport system between terminals & into Chicago.

  • Hoa Chu

Flew out of T5, typical US airport. Had a late flight out and most stores and restaurants close before 9 so if you need food get it before going to the airport or get there early

  • Mo Alhroub

Crowded, filthy bathrooms, disorganized, terrible customer service all around (staff, stores, ...). Way behind world- class airports! This used to be a top airport! Not anymore.

  • Shawn Rees

It was fast and efficient don't see why people complain about it got here 2hours before flight and now I have to wait an hour and 45min for flight lol but airport is awesome

  • Rob Hofmann

The Airport has always long waiting periods for immigration, security and baggage recheck. This time also the train going to terminal 5 was broken and we had to take a Taxi.

  • Paul White

Coming from International? Plan for a long customs wait. Once through customs, the airport is easily navigated. Seating areas are a bit rough, and the airport looks worn.

  • Laura Aho Parsons Swartz

Nice and Clean! The signage is great to navigate through this airport. We got to Baggage Claim easily. Drive through pick up and drop off was smooth too. Thank You ORD!

  • Glenn Martin

Got to be one of the worst security queues ever. So disorganised. The airport really needs to have someone come in and sort the whole place out. It is so disorganised

  • Martin Kolar

The redone Terminal 5 is great but parking is still not good. On Thanksgiving week, the International terminal was fine, but the domestic terminals were crazy busy.

  • Ron Leedy

Not a very clean airport. Very congested. Needs to be expanded to accommodate latest security measures. The concession workers and airport personnel are friendly.

  • Michelle Hayes

Good experience today! Delta counter was relatively empty. Security was a little busy. Even with pre-check, we waited about 10 minutes. Could have be much worse.

  • subprimeuser

Avoid it if you can! Baggage claim is more than slow ! The staff is helpful, but it just takes forever to get to your connections. Plan XXL extra time!!! …

  • Shaunak Chikhalia

Mr. Mohmed Ashraf is a very genuine and extremely helpful person. I am totally biased but O'Hare is the best airport & people here are the greatest …

  • Alex B

Global entry is great. The baggage claim area was a mess, and some of the young workers should be trained how to communicate with passengers and not be rude.

  • G B

Dashed from terminal 3 to terminal 5 using the free shuttle bus. Look out for the person standing next to the stairs with a paper sign. All good though.

  • Aaron G.

Fastest security check I've ever experienced in any airport in the US. Really impressed. The terminal transit system is also reliable and efficient.

  • SuperBest Reno Tahoe

I've flied out of here a few times this month and it's getting easier to manage. The rental cars were tricky, but get on the tram and you're solid.

  • Evaldas Radzevicius

Usual horror of passing through security in terminal 5. Facilities seems to be utterly inadequate for the volume of passengers. Takes about 1 hour.

  • Ioan Margescu-Daniel

Usually fast security check and no waiting in line. But now the flight to Heathrow is delayed and the seats, in the waiting area, are not enough!

  • Noel Maguigad

Nice and clean and open at Terminal 5 for an early domestic flight. If your Gate is > M35 it’s about a quarter mile from the security gate.

The airport is so big. People there are not helpful at all. If you are flying internationally be prepared to stay in a very very long line.

Does customs take two hours. Yes. Will your flight be canceled during any snowy month. Probably. But at least this guy was on paw patrol.

Airport is nice but not enough Duty Free shops, especially ones selling liquors. I think they're still doing some upgrades in Gates 25+

Crowded. Well managed. Some parts of International terminal has renovations work. Early arrival to terminal has advised to be on time.
