"There are a lot of people out there looking for a job in this unpredictable climate that we all now live in"
"Disappointing - entered the store to pay for petrol and buy a cake where a very fluster customer service person was making coffees and asking other staff to find milk, there was a conversation with three staff while I waited to be served about “finding milk”"

Rude customer service. I recommend Silver's Auto Centre on 172 Gilbert St. for professional and etiquette staff (heck a start member even offered to fill my car up for me, thought that kind of service went out decades ago.) Silver's Auto Centre are also cheaper or the exact same as OTR Pulteney Street according to the RAA fuel price app. I went to pay via my phone's NFC however the payment was rejected 2 times and didn't process successfully 3 times. The employee loudly got stuck into me, he went off saying I don't have enough funds in my bank account, and saying how am I going to pay. While I wasn't obligated to, I showed him my bank balance, there was over $320 in my bank account. Despite this he still kept on go going off with how am I going to pay, there's no money in my bank account, and telling me to pay cash, this is despite me telling him I don't have any cash..... I tell him ok I'll get my girlfriend's card, my girlfriends card also has difficulty, it takes several times but the EFTPOS machine finally accepts my girlfriend's card, however he still kept going of saying how will I pay, and then telling me I have to pay by cash - this is despite me already telling him multiple times I don't have any cash...... I have never experienced such rudeness by a petrol station employee before in my life. This is the first time I filled up at OTR Pulteney Street, and it is the last time I'll ever fill up at a OTR petrol station again. Based on my experience at OTR Pulteney Street petrol station, OTR needs to better screen potential employees for etiquette, and etiquette needs to be part of induction training. I work in retail as a team leader, and I cannot emphasise enough for etiquette and manners, even if a customer is rude they should never become rude or aggressive themselves, they should instead remain calm and polite, and if need be call me to sort out the situation.
There are a lot of people out there looking for a job in this unpredictable climate that we all now live in.. Given that fact - one who is employed in the relatively straight-forward roles of customer service would perhaps, at the very least feign some sort of interest in their business, their customers and be mildly greatful to be employed in the first instance,. Not at the OTR OPORTO! My visit to the store became a baffling mystery of sorts - beginning with the snarl that 'greeted' me upon entry, all through the uncomfortable disposition of coldness during service exchange .. (where, you know .. I give them money) made me ponder as I left -by now thoroughly perplexed at just how staff were capable of gaining employment; whilst being completely incompetent, unhelpful and frankly bitter. Their are too many people working in retail who really need to get out of retail. No shortage of Aussies out there who would be thrilled for employment, and whilst OTR like to boast they are Australia's largest employer, they sure aren't customer focused. Give the jobs to the ones that appreciate it.
Disappointing - entered the store to pay for petrol and buy a cake where a very fluster customer service person was making coffees and asking other staff to find milk, there was a conversation with three staff while I waited to be served about “finding milk”. The person then acknowledged that I was there and was about to serve me when they realised they were still making coffee for another customer and ordered another staff member to serve me, which they did and that person was polite. The store only had myself and the customer who was waiting for their coffee inside it at this time. The original staff member looked stressed and dishevelled with their uniforms also having holes in it. This might have been a bad day but the service was ordinary at best. I have been to this OTR on several occasions to get fuel or Oportos and my Oporto order has never been right, resulting in me waiting for my order to be completed correctly. I can say the Oporto food is always of the same quality, but it would be nice to get the order right the first time
The blonde girl who served me was horrible. Went to pay for fuel while my boyfriend was filling up as I thought he was finished. He wasn't so I told the person behind me to go first but server said he was done. She mixed up my car with someone else's even though I told her the colour and model of our car and so I paid for someone else's fuel instead. When I realised she made the mistake I went back to pay the correct amount. Instead of apologising she blamed me because 'I went to pay before it had finished filling up'. I've done this several times at different petrol stations before as a nice gesture to my boyfriend who always pays, never had this issue. She was extremely rude. The other server was much more helpful and friendly.
Arigant rude unfair I purchased a break light globe for my car I took it home to change the globe when I got home it was the wrong globe I purchased I took the unopened globe back to change it for the right one the supervisor knew I had purchased there 10mins earlier the attendant never gave me a receipt and even though he knew I was there 10mins earlier and he knew I purchased there they wouldn't do exchange for the correct fitting globe same price unopened packet no damage to the product and the supervisor was so abruptly rude and arigant and would not do exchange I will never shop there again and recommendations is to not shop there at all totally unsatisfactory customer service
Consistent poor service. The male workers, especially the ones from an Indian background act like they don't want to be there, they dont smile, they generally don't acknowledge you, they dont say hi or say thank you. I ordered a coffee via the app this morning and the Indian man didn't even call out my name, he just left it out. When I noticed I mentioned that he didn't call out my name and he just stared at me. They also never have enough staff on and long lines and wait times are common.
I got horrible customer service from The male workers at 23:30 on 8th March. We went there, and the dude working on 8 March 2023 said the OTR toilets were closed for no reason. He acted like he didn't want to work there. He kept talking with a girl who had already finished her subway purchase even though I was waiting there like air. He didn't smile, and he didn't say hi or say thank you. If you don't want customers to use the toilet, put a sign on your glass door, alright?
Complained to OTR on line about a week ago about the disgraceful service received at Subway by a certain female worker. Can't be bothered going int whole story just to say my complaint was not answered my complaint code is 16163. If your complaint department can't even address my complaint then you have serious internal issues in processes designed I believe would be to protect your integrity, well they have failed dismally.
Poor service. Polite staff that don't listen to what you want, & then when you bring it to there attention it wasn't what you asked for, it becomes a mission for QTR staff to make it right. 2 times in past week this has happened, & still waiting after 3 days for a apparent refund to hit my bank account. Please get staff who understand & listen on registers.
They charged me extra for an ice cream. Have to be careful and also once i bought a sausage roll and after seeing the special offer of a drink and sausage roll I asked to be charged same as the offer but as I had already paid the person refused to offer the discount. Not very customer friendly so will avoid going here.
Poor customer service by morbidly obese attendant with a beard. I accidentally walked the wrong way through what I thought was a two way gate, and he yelled at me in front of waiting customers to try to embarrass me. I'm sure others have done this and I'm guessing he's scalded them in the same manner. Not very good.
Went in for subway but the guy name was alex was very slow in making my sandwich. I had to catch my bus, i even asked him to make it quick but still he was on computer system and said sorry i cant do much its not under my hands. Its better they hire more experience people.
I have been there today and experienced the very poor service today. The guy working there seemed so sad for some reason and felt like not slept for sometime. Do something as we pay for the service. Very bad attitude. Didn’t experience this before.
OTR pulteney St. charged me $10 for 2 dollar amaysim. I called amaysim and confirmed) when i went back and discussed it. They refused to give money back and not provided any voucher came with sim card. $30 sim card was discounted $10
No good service at Friday night and Saturday night the man with long hair is so rude to every one wash room is aslo close to wash hand and this the first otr patrol station with bad service in all Australia
Thanks to your hard working man; Nihal on the car wash. Working alone; car after car after car; still really polite and did a great job on the pre wash of my car thanks Nihal; great work …
Great cup of coffee(Grande)and super quick service with a smile from Aishwaraya! Nice clean premises and busy Pulteney St location! Best Grande I've enjoyed for a long time ! Much appreciated!
Don't go here! Disgusting facilities, poor customer service, unsafe atmosphere. I know this sounds like I'm describing your average OTR, but this one goes the extra step to be beyond rubbish!
Poor customer service from Indian Male worker. Do they even want to work there or just for the money? Dont even bother answer a simple question. Been a loyal customer to OTR but not anymore.
Very friendly service, they usually don’t toast sandwiches, but the team member did it specially for us, which was so kind of him. I think his name was Rahmatullah. Amazing customer service.
I always visit this store on Friday evening after work and i get excellent customer service from Ehsan. I think he should be appreciated for his commendable service.
No toilets open fort public in service station..What a joke!! I have been to 20 countries but heard this thing for the first time..poor service.. who will stop here
Oporto service is ridiculously long considering the tiny volume of customers that come through. OTR is like any other petrol station with mediocre service.
App payment didn't work, had to go inside and the eftpos machine was faulty. Didn't even get the discount promised by the promotion...
The lady on the main register completely lost interest in her job at the end of the shift, ignored her colleagues working space.
Reliable and honest staff. I forgot my wallet at the this OTR and I was lucky to have it back. Hats off to the staff. …
Just have awsm GRANDE COFFEE and superb customers services by PRATIK....HIGHLY RECOMMENDED OTR PULTENEY STREET,ADELAIDE .
We went there at 1am and they dude who was working on 21 December 2022 said OTR toilets are closed between 10 to 6 am
Great for a quick stop to refuel and to get something to eat. Plenty of food variety to chose from. Friendly staff.
Staff never use utensils to get the hot food out , just a paper towel. Not acceptable in this day and age of covid.
Convenient location for the CBD, good convieance items and also has a Subway and Opporto. No complaints
My papa was last seen here buying milk. I haven't seen him since. Its been 56 years. #wheresmypapa
Always stop by Pultney street for a coffee on my morning trip the barista there is the best!
Opportos yummy but step up on the cleanliness OTR - the toilets were barely usable.
Subway shuts at like 8 or 10pm, can't remember now. Everything is expensive there
