I was looking forward to my hygienist appointment here and hoping it would be as good as others say it is, but on arrival the building in fallowfield is a bit run down and could do with a make over outside. The interior is tired the walls and woodwork grubby and cream chairs are dirty. I used the bathroom and although it was modern it was dirty. On arrival the two receptionists were nice but they were getting confused about what forms I had to fill in then handed me an iPad to fill out questions I already filled out the day before my appointment. I was told they were running behind by 20min I was took 30mins late, I was conscious of time as I had to get back to work. The hygienist was lovey but she was a locum and so was getting used to the room and tools. She did a good clean and polish but paying £50 private I’m afraid the premises and the staff let it down. I image the one in the city centre would have been a better choice. I also don’t appreciate having to wait 30mins over my appointment because if I was 30mins late i would have been charged and lost my appointment slot. The 3 stars are for the hygienists clean and the ease of booking online. I would probably go to the city centre next time or find an alternative business

2022 - I've been coming to this dentist for five or six years and it's OK. But in the last year or so, they have started to make patients fill out maybe six or seven questionnaires before all appointments. Many of these are to gather marketing data, rather than just health data. I don't think it should be necessary to do this every single time you visit. Some of the questions were inappropriate and irrelevant, such as "what would you change about your smile?" and "would you consider dermal fillers?" etc. It's really not OK to ask people this when they're attending a medical appointment and probably feeling vulnerable, it feels like you're being harassed. Also, my appointment was cancelled by text message, even though I made it six months in advance and when I took a day off work to see the hygienist, they didn't show up and not much effort was made to apologise. This used to be a very friendly practice that prioritised patient needs, but I feel it has become very commercial and a little unfriendly - I hope they can turn that around. 2018 - I had a positive and painless experience here, all the employees very warm and professional - no complaints at all.

The most blatantly racist receptionist we have ever seen. My family saw the same receptionist harass every person of colour who came into the premises. If you are a person of colour, avoid this place like the plague. If you a racist white nationalist, this is the place for you. Look at the one star reviews , all people with names of foreign decent. -- UPDATE -- The new manager got in touch after my review and she was really angry and sorry about what had happened and was determined to get to the bottom of this. She fully investigated the claim and took a lot of time to respond to my emails and investigate. Thank you to the Manager VIkki, She was fantastic and put my faith back into this firm, Some of the staff here really do care. The receptionist is now behaving herself. I have changed this from a 1 star review to a 3 star review as a result of the Manager Vikki. I know what we saw there, It should never have happened, but the management went out of their way to make sure it doesn't happen again, I have to give them credit for this.

My family has registered with this clinic for very long time. In my last visit to clinic i book and emergency appointment with them first they told me 10:15 am appointment over the phone and when i went there  they say ohh we have appointment booked for 11:10 am after that when i went to see one of  thier consultant name rob and the first  impression he gives me like he don't care about say greetings and becuase my mother was screeming with pain in mouth he quickly checks her send her off without giving good explanation what is causing this pain and my mother hadn't sleeped for a sec after they send her off, becuase swallowing mouth, i have to take her  to hospital and they saw infection in mouth and this dissappointed even more, i don't know why this clinic still have good rating after  thier service is like trash, never going here again and desperately looking an alternative detal care center.

Highly recommend you visit Robert Trem lovely man, really understood how scared I was and took time to listen to my fears and he made the whole experience very easy. I will defiantly be going back to see him in 4 months. I came back after the 4 months as promised. Nina is a lovely girl always has a welcome smile. Rob is fantastic, he has the patience of a saint, he explains everything he is going to do before he does it, as I am terrified of getting work done well to be fair even for the check I have sleepless night before I go, but this time I managed to get a filling and my teeth cleaned without any problems. Rob makes you feel so safe and you can really trust him. He is a credit to your practice.

This dentist practice is really good. Im always greeted by the receptionist kathyrn who asboulteley lovely and is a really nice lady to talk to. The dentist was great he very knowledgeable and answer all my question and qureys. I had 2 fillings and was really nervous. I have a phobia of needles and really panic. I had 4 injections that day and he made me feel calm and safe as he was doing it . I actually felt really calm couldn't believe it. He talk through everything that was going to happen as I was having my teeth worked which made feel reassured. Couldn't recommend a better dental pratice. They have put my mind at ease and would be very confident in having any dental treatment there .

Had my wisdom tooth pulled today after a deep clean by Rob. I Have to say, although I’ve only seen him 3 or 4 times he’s the best dentist I’ve ever had and I’m gutted that he will be leaving in a month or so. Good luck in the next practice! My appointment today went really well, I’m a bit sore now but I knew I would be. Glad I got the tooth pulled by Rob and I don’t have to wait months for an appointment at the dental hospital. I Was expecting my tooth to be in the bag I was given but when I got home I found it wasn’t there, strange one that. I was looking forward to showing my family how tiny my tooth was lol

Visited the hygienist here and can highly recommend. I was greeted by a very friendly and helpful receptionist who was really quick and efficient in taking payment and sorting my details etc, followed by a fantastic appointment with Lauren the hygienist and her assistant Nyla who were both really kind and friendly and provided a really thorough, efficient yet gentle clean. Helpful and reassuring throughout. Perfect. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience! A really lovely team providing a great service from start to finish, I left feeling very happy so it’s a 10/10 from me, many thanks to all of you!

They have been my dentist for years now and each time I go to them they provide exceptional service. For me it’s the staff that are the highlight, from the reception to the dentist himself, they are so kind and friendly. I went there for an emergency when I had a tooth infection and although the dentist had a car accident, he still made sure that he could help me to cope with the pain and prescribe me something. This really stood out to me. I also went to the hygienist and she was so lovely and did a great job on my teeth. I do like my dentist place.

Overall a good experience and happy I came here. The receptionist was lovely and she made me feel welcome straight away. The only thing I would say is the procedure itself was very painful. This was down to inflammation of my gums which is understandable but I do feel like it was clear I was in a lot of pain and an anaesthetic should have been used. To avoid this maybe there should be a chance to voice any issues or concerns before the visit, so they can be properly prepared for and catered to

Friendly and welcoming staff, relaxed atmosphere helped to make it a stress free visit to the dentist. Each visit I receive a warm and friendly welcome and able to ask for any advice knowing I will get an honest answer and not been spoken down to like some dentist or doctors seem to do. There’s been a couple of changes since my last post and my review still stands, all the staff are amazing and really helpful and go out of their way to accommodate me which I appreciate enormously.

Very bad experience, unprofessional staff and dentist.they make me come on time and they take time to see me. Last time I was few minutes late but even if I turned up early for my app I won’t be seen on time. App was at 11:40 turned up 11:45 but there was a patient before me he left around 12 so even if I turned up early won’t be see till 20 mints after my app. Very frustrating. Uncleaned practice. Uneducated staff bad attitude. I don’t advice you to go to this practice.

First of all, such a friendly welcoming from the receptionist! Secondly I am absolutely scared of needles and the dentist was just brilliant with me, he kept checking in to make sure I was okay and comfortable and made me feel at ease. The practice was very very tidy and everything was in line with the current guidelines. I was talked through everything from start to finish and had a good understanding of what was going. I would definitely recommend this dentist to all.

I had an appointment at this dentist, I was extremely anxious and nervous before and on arrival to my appointment, due to previous dentist and experiences in the past. My nerves and anxiety were put at ease instantly, from the welcoming I recieved from the friendly and helpful receptionist staff. As well as the communication and reassurance I received from the dentist. Would highly recommend this dentist, welcoming warm absolutely no bully tactics 100% professional.

Can’t recommend this practice enough! I had Rob as my dentist for an overall health check on my teeth as well as some advice on Invisalign. Rob was very professional and talked me through everything in detail as well as answering all my questions, I have decided to go ahead with the Invisalign treatment with ocean dental. Lovely staff members, greeted in reception by a lovely lady and made to feel very at ease by the dental assistant. Very clean everywhere!

Dentist is good but receptionist does not understand the booking system. I needed a 30min appointment, but i was given a 15min appointment so my tooth issue was no resolved. I then had to get the dentist's assistant to come down and tell receptionist how to use booking system as receptionist was still adamant she booked 30min. If I had not done this, my next appointment would also have been for 15min and my morning ruined again.

Previously I only used the hygienist there but my experience has been 1st class each time. They are so thorough and very helpful. Make you feel comfortable and at home, and I always come away happy with sparkly teeth. Because of this level of service, I booked an appointment with the dentist to talk about teeth alignment and whitening and was very pleased with the process and info. Highly recommend this practice:)

The service at Ocean Dental has put my faith back in dentists. For over 20 years I was frightened of the dreaded chair due to a horrendous experience as a kid. Rob is fantastic and tells you what he is doing step by step, he makes you feel so relaxed. I feel so lucky to have found a practice now that I can actually trust and not cancel appointments due to fear and anxiety. Massive Thank You to all the team.

Outstanding practice. I had my first NHS appointment this morning. Very nice surroundings. Sarah the receptionist was very warm, friendly and professional. I saw Ramzam, the dentist, who was also very welcoming, professional and explained his findings and care plan in a polite and reassuring manner. The dental nurse was also fantastic. I would thoroughly recommend this practice.

I have been going to Ocean Dental practice for many years and have to say I can not fault any of the staff from the moment you walk into the practice. All through your appointment the staff explain the things they are doing for you and will stop if you want and wait until you are ready to continue with whatever treatment you are having. The worst dentist I've come across, took my mum because she lost 2 front teeth, they cemented the old crown, didn't check other teeth, l'm not sure why they are allowed to practice. Floor dirty equipments and hygiene bad. All together I wouldn't take my dog there never mind my mum or myself.reason I gave 1 star is just wouldn't allow me to write a review without giving star.

I would highly recommend Ocean dental practice at Ladybarn. Catherine on reception is a lovely friendly lady. The dentist,Rob really puts you at ease,he's a very good dentist. I recently used the services of Ocean Dental at their Gartside Practice for a broken tooth and am happy with the care I received. The reception staff, especially Annette, were extremely helpful in booking appointments. The premises were clean and full Covid precautions were taken. I received professional and high quality treatment from Alina.

Expect to wait for hours before your phone call gets answered and disconnected. They also pretend they can’t hear you on the phone and disconnect. Has to be the worst dentist I have ever used in the last 60 years of my life! Rude staff and dentist that have no manners in how to talk to people. Inexperienced in all areas. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!

Rob is an amazing Dentist, I have such a massive Phobia of dentist but he always somehow makes me feel comfortable and calm, every single time I’ve visited I have never had any issues, the receptionist is so friendly and super understanding of my fear of being there. Facilities are kept to good standards and location is very central in Manchester. Staff is friendly and there are NHS or private options. However, punctuality isn't always good and more importantly the results (NHS or Private) aren't always great. Give more training to your staff to be even more professional and this could be a great place.

Waited 6 weeks for a dentist appointment and with 5 days to go, they cancelled the appointment. The reason is that the dentist is going away and they did not update their system to block the dates. Next appointment available is in two months time. Worst customer service imaginable. Even 1 star is too generous. Avoid at all costs.

What can I say expect all around brilliant practice Nina on the reception is so polite and informed eased me into my treatment and rob was a great dentist really looked after me. Just had my implant finished. Very happy with the results. Nilesh Bhatt makes u very comfortable and takes u thorough the process. Been coming to this dentist for nearly ten years. Very friendly and helpful receptionist and the dentist is extremely patient and understanding of someone with a dental phobia...something I had never experienced before. He has actually helped me feel more confident and at ease when attending appointments. Would recommend to anyone who is a little nervous.

One star is a star too many as they continuously cancel appointments with very little notice. I have had three cancelled since June 2022. They do this via text and when you try to phone up they do not answer. It is the same reason each time - unforeseen circumstances (via an automated text message/email).

Very rude staff at the reception. Don’t have any idea how to talk politely only after money from patients. My sister is joined here and she has been treated so unfairly she doesn’t have access to her phone at moment so I had to write this review on her behalf as to notify people about this dentist.

I have been attending this dentist for a few years, I have had no problems getting an appointment. I have had a few dentists who have always treated me well. I was particularly pleased during my last attendance when the dentist spent time explaining the possible causes of my dental pain.

The dentist is very good and skillful. The assistant was nice but the receptionist not very friendly. She told mw at the first visit the price I was supposed to pay for my next visit byt she gave an other price after I had my tootg extracted. She needs to be more accurate.

I had an appointment with the hygienist who gave me lots of advice on how to resolve the issues I have been experiencing. Would definitely recommend and their branch in the city centre opens on Saturdays for those of us who work Monday to Friday. Very reasonably priced.

My husband attends the Mauldeth road branch. He is very anxious when it comes to appointments of any kind due to his PD. All the staff at Oceans make him feel comfortable and are very understanding and patient with him. It is a very clean and modern environment.

I have been a patient of Ocean Dental for more than ten years. I have always found all the team helpful, courteous and respectful. All dental work has been to a very high standard and the after care has been brilliant.

Ive had issues with dentists before so was quite nervous for my first appointment with them but everyone at the practice was really friendly and put me at ease. Rob did a thorough inspection and was reassuring.
