I was still in shock when I had to contact the funeral home and soon I was in the hands of professionals. The Funeral Director, Kevin McGuire was at my home an hour after the Coroner had left to pick up my wife and ensure I was ok. I met with him at the funeral home to make the arrangements and he guided me through the red tape and make all the arrangements. I felt better just knowing I was working with a person that was looking after my interests. The viewing was arranged and a service afterwards and I did not have to do the arranging. Persons visiting the funeral home commented on the quality offered by Ogden Funeral Homes. This is a first class operation from start to finish and believe it or not the prices for this great service was not unreasonable. The assistance offered afterwards in filling our all those forms is something every survivor can use. Ogden Funeral Homes gave me the opportunity to further express my love to my wonderful wife that gave me 55 years of her love and care. My wife was 89 years of age when she passed away and had experienced some facial problems. The cosmetician not only kept my wife's natural looks but some said she actually looked younger. An absolute joke, but nobody is laughing. I tuned in from Scotland to view online the memorial to my beloved cousin.The sound from the mic came rasping out like a tin can full of angry wasps, and then it died out altogether for the next 25+ minutes. I missed all but 2 minutes of the service and will never be able to pick up on it, even from the recording. So I couldn't hear the eulogies from my three 2nd cousins and other mourners. Despite two 'phone calls all I got was "We're working on it / We're alerting the IT provider". I spoke to around three different people, none of whom seemed to have a clue as to what they were supposed to be doing. Eventually it was discovered that the mic battery had expired. WHAT? Did nobody perform due diligence and check it all out prior to the service? Why not use a reliable mic such as the SM58 Beta (no battery required)? They couldn't even play the music that the family had provided to say goodbye to this truly wonderful man. Hang your heads in shame, Ogdens. Complete incompetent shambles. (Note to self: "Don't die in Ontario".)

My grandmother's service was prepared by Kennedy Bacher at Ogden, and we couldn't have asked for anything more. She met with us on a Sunday and was available for inquires throughout the entire time we were preparing through to the burial. She helped make recommendations to a couple cemeteries which we ended up choosing one from. She helped walk us through everything without missing a single detail and really made a really difficult process so much easier for our family. Ogen Funeral Homes is also a beautiful location. We had visited a couple others in the area and you just feel so much more comfortable and at peace at Ogden. Though the service prices may be slightly higher than others, the overall price with casket and additional services that are included, you will end up saving money. My grandmother was buddhist and we loved the fact that Ogden offered services for people of different faiths. Kennedy really went above and beyond and for this our family will forever be grateful.

My family and I were very impressed with Ogden Funeral Home when it came to my dad's funeral arrangements. From the moment we walked in, we were promptly greeted by Scott and escorted to a large office to accommodate my mother, myself and three other siblings. We were offered refreshments, and told that Carla would be looking after us. Carla, entered the room a few minutes later and right away we were impressed by her demeaner. She was friendly and consoling. Carla was very patient with us during this difficult process. She, just didn't jump into "sales mode", Carla took her time with getting to know the family, and as much about my father as possible. When we got down to planning the arrangements once again Carla, was great. It wasn't about what she wanted to sell us, it was all about what we wanted. Great service and support during a difficult and heartbreaking time. Kevin and Justine as well as other staff offered a "just right" level of information and guidance for my brother's visitation and service. The officiant they referred us to, Terry, was top-notch and many people commented on the fact that he knew my brother (he was that good). The facilities were spacious enough to accommodate for everyone who attended even during stage 3 Covid and the chapel was lovely. I never felt "upsold" on anything or that the staff were trying to nickel and dime me at my most vulnerable. In fact, they waived a few of the smaller fees. Special arrangements for cremation as well as a follow up call to support notification (i.e. license, health cards, etc.) the day after the service were greatly appreciated. I'm grateful for such a positive experience in remembering my brother.

First and foremost, thank you to the staff and especially our funeral director, Mr. Kwan, who was both very professional and sympathetic to the death of our family member. I've been here a few times before as a visitor many years ago for others and now as a grieving person and each time, the service was done exceptionally. The explained very well and proceedings went very smoothly and timely. The facilities were clean and the space for the visitation was wonderful. Having visited several funeral home, this one really felt comfortable with the lounge area, clean washrooms, friendly staff and open areas with lots of lighting. Pricewise, it is expensive... But that's every funeral home. Relative to others, it's competitive and reasonable... Though one can always hope it maybe could've been cheaper. Service to price, I thought the value was there. 多謝關先生。

I did not anticipate that I would actually find myself in this time of grief being happy. I did not know what to expect; however, this has been a great experience for myself and family. I can't find anything to suggest for improvement. The staff at Ogden funeral Homes made this personal. I felt that they focused on us, paid attention to our needs; questions and concerns. We engaged the services of Ogden, and specifically their Funeral Director Colin for my mother who passed away this January (2021). The attention we received and the comfort Colin and his staff provided by easing the burden of the arrangements to remember my mom and to make the adminstrative process as simple as possible was in a word "EXCEPTIONAL". As a family business Ogden exemplifies "family", first and foremost. The business aspect was present, but always in the background; completely accommodating and respectful. I would recommend Ogden for any family facing the final arrangements to pay respect to a loved one. Sincere thanks to Colin and the Ogden family.

Wanted to use a family-owned business instead of one of the big corporate funeral homes, but, ended up feeling like a number to them. All for a tidy sum. Phones messages were not passed on; "standard" fees for use of facilities applied even though we didn't have a visitation; not given any notice when my mother's ashes were ready - and ended up picking them up at the reception desk, as if she were a parcel (at least they walked me to the car). Positives? They didn't rush me. Good coffee. Lovely building. Prayer cards done well. Liked seeing how they had student placements. Still it didn't balance out. I so wanted to like them. Very disappointed.

My family and I would like to thank all the staff at Ogden Funeral Homes for the exceptional service, respect and care they provided our family this week in dealing with the loss of a family member. Staff are professional and respectful; as soon as you arrive, they are helpful and efficient with direction. Facility is nice and open, yet private where it needs to be. During the funeral service, it would have been thoughtful if the director recognized that it was difficult to hear the speeches of soft-spoken people (with the outside noises of people talking), and thereby close the back door, but it stayed open during the whole service. Nonetheless, a good funeral home.

My mom transitioned very unexpected when we were all hoping for her recovery. In my deep grief and shock, Sunny was patient and thoughtful. He walked me through the details with his expertise and empathy. I am thankful for Sunny reminding me of the legacy left by mom and his dedication to get my family through the challenging time to say goodbye to mom. I am pleased and thankful for all the staff and the services at Ogden funeral home. Sunny was very professional and knowledgeable. He was patient and friendly in helping our family getting through this difficult time where we know nothing about funerals and he guided us through the whole way. Clarissa and Tracy did a fabulous job looking after our grandmother's funeral. They were very attentive, thoughtful and kind and met our every need. Ogden can you please explain why you took funeral instructions from some one with mental illness issues. Regardless of the will if someone doesnt have mental capacity a contract shoukd not be entered with them. My family is very disappointed. You knew this was yhe case. This mistake by your company can never be reversed as my father . You sacrifuced us for profit $$$$$

Attended a viewing today and was impressed with the facility. The place was clean. We were greeted as we entered the facility and directed to the room. The staff are extremely friendly and accommodating and assistance was provided promptly. For a somber event they do make one of life’s most difficult experiences bearable.

I would never recommend this funeral home. Experience was not what i expected. Didnt accomodate us well for the money we paid. During time of grieving at ogden with our familys being there we were asked if we can give them the payment. You would expect this prior to the service. Everything is just a business transaction.

Ogden is a very classy funeral home staffed by very professional funeral directors. They were extremely helpful with my mother's funeral, from planning to execution, everything was done with the utmost respect. Funeral Director Hannah was especially kind and empathetic to our family and we are so thankful!

I couldn't have had any better people taking care of my father's funeral. Every single person I dealt with at Odgen was professional and sincere. We had many people who attended, compliment the facility and its staff. I would definitely recommend Ogden Funeral Home to others.

Awful experience. No compassion all business. Do not respect families initial wishes. Tried to take advantage of seniors on limited budgets to upsell from cremation to expensive casket and a menu of extra charges. Don't respond to email questions to question billing. Beware
