This insurance co is a joke. It’s been almost 5 months and I still haven’t seen an offer for my hurricane insurance claim after Ian. There has been little to no confirmation from them. Last time I heard from someone at Olympus was months ago. They don’t answer my emails. They are useless! Terrible service, I should say no service. I’ve had to hire a public adjuster, who has gotten no where with them, and now an attorney. 5 months with a leaky roof, broken windows and doors. DON’T BUY YOUR INSURANCE FROM THIS COMPANY AS THEY DON’T STAND BEHIND THEIR PRODUCT! UPDATE. Olympus insurance stated below that they’d get back to me but it’s been another week and I have heard nothing. Another broken promise, more delays and continued horrible service! Stay tuned as I’ll update this post weekly until my claim is settled! It’s only been a little over 5 months now without even a denial or offer. Update: going on 6 months and still no word from Olympus Insurance. It’s been over two weeks since they responded to my post that they would be in touch with me. Why won’t they call or email me? If you are thinking of getting insurance from Olympus you might want to think again! Update number 3. It’s been three weeks since they promised to get back to me. Still nothing. It’s been 6 months since the storm and still no offer or settlement. Terrible service. Update number 4. (Week 4 after being told someone would look into the claim, after I’ve waited 5 months, now 6 months). Another broken promise! After being told they’d have an answer to us by friday(11 days ago Friday) still no word. How can a company be so callous as not to even talk to a customer? Florida has a 90 day limit for an insurance co to answer a claim. Today marks 180 days! I have a leaky roof, causing more damage, broken windows and missing doors. I can’t understand why Olympus Insurance doesn’t even talk to us? We aren’t going away. The claim increases everyday and now they face an additional beach of contract lawsuit for not living up to their contractural obligation. What is management thinking?

This company deserves ZERO stars. We've been a customer for almost 10 years now. Premium prices skyrocketed during this time, and we never filed a single claim until Hurricane Ian. We had a lot of damage to the roof and interior of the house. It is end of January 2023, Proof of Loss has been sent, complaint to the state has been filed and there is no check, no communication, or an estimate from the insurance company. The desk adjuster Lee-Artis McCoy doesn't return any calls and he doesn't reply to emails. I've escalated the case to the manager Tatum Villmore, HI escalation team, and there has been no response. The first inspector that was sent was rude and unprofessional and we had to ask for another one. The second one, Carole Green, never showed up on a scheduled day, so we had to reschedule. She was not well versed in what she was supposed to do and did a horrible job of causation. The claim was further delayed for months only to find out that they are sending engineers for yet another inspection! Obviously, this was not scheduled right away, and on the day of the inspection the engineers were late by 40 minutes! They were able to only do the inside due to rain. The outside inspection was scheduled in a week's time from then, and the second set of engineers came. All these people wasted SO MUCH of my valuable time, it took them forever to leave my house. Now, weeks after these rounds of inspections there is still no estimate and no information has been communicated. Lee-Artis McCoy does not return phone calls or replies to emails. These are the most unprofessional people I've ever had to deal with! They do everything they possibly can to delay a claim for no reason.

If I could give them a negative 100 stars I would. I have had to get a public adjuster to help me with my claim that began September 2020. Olympus insurance adjuster came out and thought 9 squares of new roofing material would cover the damage of a pine tree penetrating my roof causing me to have a skylight that I did not want. The insurance adjuster measured my walls at 8 feet when they are 10 feet. From the beginning Olympus had inadequate adjusters. Fast forward to mid March of 2021. The claim adjuster called me to insure me that I would receive an email on Wednesday, my husband and I would sign the attached form, have it notarized and send it back. I would have my money to make repairs to my home by Friday. The claim adjuster even encouraged me to begin to line up the vendors needed to have my home repairs done. There has been ZERO communication since mid March. It is now nearly the end of April of 2021 and the claim adjuster will not return calls or emails back to me or my public adjuster. Olympus makes the high claims they are all about customer service and they do while taking money in. However, they are extremely painfully slow and non responsive to communicate with their clients when Olympus needs to payout claims. I even went so far as to write the CEO, Steve Bitar, a certified letter and they would not sign for the letter. Do you really want to place your faith in a company that will not communicate with you. I wouldn’t recommend Olympus to anyone. For those who are with Olympus Insurance, good luck if you ever need Olympus to pay for a claim. I hope you have better communication than I experienced.

I submitted a claim right after Hurricane Ian (3 months ago) for roof and other damages in my house. An adjuster visited our home asessed the damages and told us that an another adjuster will be contacting us shortly. A week after, I received an email from Geron Williams stating that he was the adjuster assigned to my claim which was in process. A month passed and never received an update. I called and emailed Geron Williams several times but he never answered or responded to my VM or emails. I also tried reaching out to his “supervisor” Stephanie and had the same outcome. Two month passed and after few more emails I received a response from Geron stating that I was going to be receiving some dcmentation that week. Two weeks passed and I didn’t get anything. Once again I called and left him and his supervisor multiple voicemails requested a called back. But noone ever called me back. Few days later I received an email stating that I was going to be receiving a check $300 check through mail, which I received. There was never communication or explanation of the assessment. Not a single one of my questions was ever answered. I was never able to speak to a human being other that the operators who transferred my calls everytime I called. I have tried reaching back requesting an explanation and they have completely ignored me. I cannot believe the level of unprofessionalism from company who I have been paying a policy for over 5 years. I have shingles missing on my roof, the balcony ceilings busted due to the water filtering through, a wall showing damaged of humidity and I get a $300 check with no explanation?

Unfortunately, 1 star is the lowest that can be given per Google, but even 1 star is too much. I opened my claim a month ago and after repeatedly calling, leaving messages, sending emails, I still have not heard back from anyone. Every time I call their 1-800 number, I get a different person who answers the phone, who then transfers me to some extension where I have to leave a message. Finally, today I was done with not hearing anything, and I called them and told the lady I needed to speak to a supervisor. She said she could file an escalation and they would call me within 24-48 hours, the weekend doesn't count, and today is Friday, meaning, they will get back to me "the latest" according to her, on Tuesday. I told her I was tired of waiting for someone to return my calls/emails and now I have to wait another 96 hours (4 days) to hear back from someone? Meanwhile, I have a tarp on my roof that was placed with sandbags by someone that looks like they were just hired that same day to go put the tarp on my house, which blew away a day later, so they had to come back with a new one. With the new installation, the sandbags are sliding down the roof and three of them are putting weight on my gutters, which means that soon the gutters will need repair as well. I'm worried another severe storm is going to roll in, and the problem is going to get worse. They are extremely unprofessional, especially for how high the premiums are, for them not to reach back out to their customers. Horrible customer service. I do not recommend them as a company.

I can't say enough about Olympus Insurance Company. They are truly a pioneer and industry leader in innovation, customer service, timeliness, and communication. As a seasoned professional with over 25 years in the insurance industry, I can confidently say that Olympus is the absolute best company I've had the privilege to work with. We are extremely pleased with the way our claim was handled. Within hours of making our claim, RYTECH was in the house to begin remediation for water and mold damage. Our insurance adjuster Rick Jones came in soon after to walk with us through the house to examine the damage. He was professional, kind and empathetic as to the problems the water damage created for us. We had walls partially torn down, kitchen dismantled, cabinets removed etc. We were reassured that the end result would be our home would be put back together like it was before. We were introduced to Quality First Builders, LLC and our project manager was Sam Elghossein. He walked us through every aspect of renovation, coordinated all the sub-contractors: flooring, drywall, paint, cabinetry, everything. He listened to us and helped with choices of materials. He insured the quality of work done by everyone. My calls were returned promptly and questions answered. Every worker who came into our house was polite, thorough and cleaned the site afterwards. This whole experience could have been just awful, but thanks to Olympus Insurance Company, our adjuster : Rick Jones and our project manager from QFB : Sam Elghossein this has been a very positive experience, with an amazing outcome. Thank You, Emma and Andrew Slackman

A MUST READ!! please beware of this company! I don’t write many reviews but I have to this time!!!! I’ve been using this company since 2018 and they have done nothing but over charged me! The first year my premium was reasonable. But each year the cost got more expensive! You won’t believe these people quoted me a premium of 11,000+ for the upcoming coming year. That’s a 7,000 + difference of what I paid last year. Although what I paid in 22-23 was still expensive it didn’t raise a red flag due to the coverage I had. Now i recognize I’ve been overcharged for the last 3 years. I would advise you to RUN! These people are price gouging and taking advantage of hard working people. The new quote would have increased my mortgage by $1200 dollars completely insane. Now Im working with a new company that have provided me with a MUCH better quote. It’s insane. Keep in mind I’ve NEVER filed any claims. I also contacted my insurance agent to obtain clarification about the premiums quote! All I got Was let us contact Olympus to look into it. If you ask me something seems suspicious!

Worst insurance company I've ever dealt with in my life. First, they raised my premium about 300%. Next if you have a claim, they don't return calls, are extremely incompetent, non-existent customer service, desk adjusters will not return calls or speak to you. Managers of the desk adjusters may call you, but then you won't contact you. Eventually, had to report them to the state for not handling my claim in the required 90 days, then they lied to the state (but I had e-mail proof that they were lying). Eventually, had to hire an attorney to get them to replace my roof after over 6 months of jacking me around. I don't see how anyone is giving them 5 star reviews, so I'd guess they're paying for good reviews on here. I switched insurance carriers and will never give Olympus a dime again. I'd suggest you listen to all the bad reviews on here, and choose any other carrier but them.

I'm not in the habit of advocating for insurance companies, but we've had surprisingly good experiences with Olympus so far. We have had Olympus for our homeowners insurance for a few years now. We were so surprised and impressed when we made a claim after the hurricane last year. We figured they'd be trying to cover as little as possible, since it was after a Hurricane and they were getting a lot of claims. While our neighbors were telling us all of their horror stories about the denied claims and delays, Olympus was fairly easy to deal with and covered everything we expected and then some. When we thanked the adjuster at the end he said he was an independent contractor who worked with many insurance companies and Olympus is one of his favorites to work with, because they pay out and don't fight every claim like some other companies he works with do.

  • Harley Miller

Absolutely HORRIFIC customer service representative. I tried multiple times to login online and pay my bill but couldn’t login. Finally we called the customer service line (which was not easy at all by the way, almost impossible to get ahold of someone) to be told our policy couldn’t be found and was most likely cancelled. I have proof of our last 4 payments in my lap and the bill that I was trying to pay wasn’t past due in fact we were calling before the due date. The representative we spoke to was unbelievably rude and unprofessional. She couldn’t answer any questions that we had and just kept repeating that our policy must be cancelled. My main question would be: why was our policy cancelled if we are completely up to date on payments and are currently trying to pay the next bill BEFORE the due date?? Time to shop around for new insurance.

  • Angie Cox

This company is HORRIBLE just like all the reviews say. I have been waiting for a year for help after Hurricane Ian. My adjuster changed 4 times, no updates on anything, no follow-up, no return emails or calls. They are the WORST insurance company I have ever dealt with. Now what they do is tell us they need to transfer us to someone after we have been on hold for over 30 minutes, then they just simply hang up on us hoping we won't have the time to keep continiuing to call and be placed on absurd hold times with no resolution to ANYTHING! I am going to take the advice of my last adjuster that I was able to speak with in APRIL and hire an attorney. They are complete crooks, taking money and never paying a legit claim! As soon as this is settled I will absolutely be dropping them. BEWARE do not use this company!

  • Rebecca Sheehan

Through an insurance claim, Olympus Insurance told me I HAD to go through JA Edwards for a new roof (my only option to have it covered through the insurance I had been paying for years). While the houses around me were and are continuing to get their roofs replaced w/better quality materials (through their insurance claims) and in a timely manner, I STILL have their excess supplies in my yard for OVER 1-1/2 months AFTER completion from THEIR roofer, AND the roofer STILL has not completed or scheduled a promised wind mitigation. I have contacted JA Edwards multiple times and Olympus Insurance regarding both the supplies and wind mitigation. Olympus told me, over a week ago, that they had contacted JA Edwards, yet NOTHING has changed. In my opinion, both are very unprofessional for allowing this to happen.

I had significant damage to my pool cage and privacy fence when hurricane Nicole hit central Florida in early November 2022. I filed a claim using the Olympus website and they immediately responded and within several days schedule an adjustor to assess the damage. the adjustor called me within a couple of days to schedule a visit. On the day of the scheduled visit the adjustor called to let me know he was on his way. He was on time and presented himself as a seasoned professional. He examined the house from front to back, top to bottom. He clearly explained the process. From that point forward, Olympus keep me informed of the ongoing process and within a couple of weeks has proffered a fair and equitable settlement. Not long after that the claim was settled to my satisfaction.

  • Donna Kinney

Olympus Insurance raised our insurance last year significantly and then doubled our home owner's insurance this year and charged our mortgage before due even though we told them that we were already in the permitting stages to have a new roof put on our home (when there was nothing wrong with the exisiting roof except that it was older than 15 years .) Then they issued a refund check to the tune of almost $2,500.00 in my and my ex husband's name. Needless to say, the ex wont sign the check so that I can have my half. (I paid for half of the $16,000 roof) I called Olympus to write me a check for my half in my name and they wont do it. Guess who wins here? Not the noseless man sucking on his pacifier, not me, but the insurance company because now they get to keep the money.

  • Shane Rackliffe

I have a claim with them from hurricane Ian. They sent me a confirmation email with the desk adjusters email and extension. A few days later a different adjuster called me named Keisha Gwin and told me she was the adjuster. I have attempted to contact her several times by phone. The call takers give you the run around on the phone and send you back out to the main call in line. When I finally get to my adjuster I leave a voice mail with no call back. I have emailed three times with no response. So here we are a month post hurricane and I can't get in touch with anyone to get approval to tarp a roof leak. And 2 weeks post field adjuster with no response from the desk adjuster. Not impressed so far.

  • Billy Duesler

Had Olympus for 8 years, never missed a payment or filed a claim. Had a roof leak after Hurricane Irma and filed a claim that was denied. Paperwork said damage didn’t meet $12,000 deductible. Our deductible was only $5,700. Plus, paperwork sent to our house with drawings wasn’t even our house. Had to get an adjuster and now the claim is going to court. In the mean time, I have damage to my kids bathroom and garage that still has yet to be fixed. It’s been over 6 months and now, just received a letter that they are dropping us! 8 years with no claim and never missing a payment, then need them and we are denied and canceled. Wish I could give less than 1 star!

  • Omar Basterrechea

My agent somehow didn’t work there any longer and the new agent that I got piggybacked onto show 0 interest in helping my with my account. After canceling I come to find out they never canceled it, after getting with a different insurance company I called once again to cancel. After more red tape over the phone and was told the account is closed, wrong. Someone didn’t do their job at Olympus.... AGAIN. Let’s see if third times a charm. I can’t imagine having to file a claim with a group that can’t even simply close an account. They owe me money and they can’t close my account without having to fight them to do so. Lost this customer for life. Well done

As an insurance agent who represents almost every insurance carrier that writes homeowners insurance in South East Florida, Olympus stands apart. The Homeowners Insurance Market is a mess, and many companies have taken approaches to try to get back to profitability. Most common is the removal of coverage; homeowners pay more for less coverage. NOT OLYMPUS! We place the homeowners who value service and coverage with Olympus when available. Olympus has a homeowners policy form that is almost unmatched. Unfortunately, many just look at price and the coverage limits on their declaration page, and don't inquire how the policy language reads.

  • dawn pruett

Changed my homeowner policy to a rental policy, and Susan the owner failed to do so. This was after she made me go purchase an a quitclaim deed in another state so I took the day off without pay and paid 350 for the deed,so I could change my policy. So year and a half later her company changed to American integrity, so my mail was going to the rental house which caused a lapse in my ins. So Mrs Susan told me she must of swept me under the rug. She never changed to a rental which costed me 1700 dollars and , the 100 bucks without ins when her company went from Olympus to American integrity. I have changed my ins for sure!!!!!!!!!

  • Jordan N

Such a shame...I really liked their pricing however after 3 months in my new to me home ( 2004 build ) , they are cancelling my insurance due to minimal curling shingles. I purchased the home knowing the roof was original but according to the EXPERIENCED home inspector, the roof appeared to be solid for at least another 5 years. I get it, companies want to protect themselves, but why offer my 04 build coverage if that's the case. Thanks for the notification during this economic crisis. Ps. Please don't reply with not wanting to share the personal details of the situation as I just did.

  • Al Rafiq

I have been with this insurance company since I bought my house 6 years ago and every year they increased my premium and on the fourth year increase it was substantial although I had a clean record at the time. On the 6th year, I had the unfortunate occurance of some water damage both upstairs and downstairs. Immediately after I opened the claims, even before one of their inspectors assessed the damage, the company notified me that they were not renewing my policy come renewal time. I understood that customers were simply a number to them and that I was not a good number to have sadly.

  • Paula Monson

We have a claim for hurricane Ian damage to our home in Cape Coral. The field claims adjuster visited the property on October 18th and then we were told any decisions regarding the claim will be made by Lisa Watkins the senior claims adjuster located in another state. We have left several messages for Lisa and, as well, her manager, Amber Nicholson. They will not call us back and let us know where we stand. Olympus Insurance does not serve their clients needs. They are happy to collect your premium and then everything else stops. What a disappointment!

  • Justin Clark

I do not know how this company operates in todays market. Extremely long wait times on the phone (20-45 min). I sent a notice to cancel 25 July as per their instructions three weeks ago (6Jul). I call to inquire about the refund and the only answer I got was it can take 15 business days. You mean to tell me it takes upwards of 3 weeks to get a refund! My refund would have went to another address if I had not called. This whole process of switching homeowners insurance has taken 6-7 weeks and is still not finished because of poor customer service.

  • Denise Henderson

We experienced a significant amount of damage to our home from the hurricane. After a rough start the first month, our Olympus claims manager was great to work with. Overall, the quality of the coverage exceeded our expectations. We had an in-person inspection of the damage. Follow-up communacations were by phone or email. Both were timely and professional. After seeing and hearing what our neighbors are going through with their insurance company, I will be staying with Olympus have been recommending Olympus and our local agent to others.

  • Patrick Reilly

This company does not care about their customers. I had a policy with them for 8 years, no claims. I sold the property and notified my agent. They asked me for a copy of the closing statement, which took some time for me to dig up. When I finally got it to them and they notified Olympus, Olympus only reimbursed me from the time they received the notification, not the time from when I sold the property. So I had to pay for having no insurance during that period. That is not a customer friendly policy, its a screw the customer policy.

  • Norman Lepoff

Horrible. Worst Contractors, possible, if you dare to file a claim. Then they punish you! I am sorry that I ever insured my house with them. I advise avoiding this company! It took 8 months to settle a very small claim, regarding a roof leak that I repaired, and about 100 square feet of drywall and carpet damages. Horrible company! This company is so bad that it is unbelievable! They sucker you in with low rates, then raise them significantly, every year, and are just awful, and completely unreasonable, and unreliable.

  • Matt “Dogecoin2theMOON” S

Switched to Olympus a year ago. Good price and home insurance policy. Needed a small roof repair when they did inspection. Emailed agent that handled my policy copy of contract and copies of check to pay contractor for work. Wasn't good enough for them so they said they will not renew my policy. They are very poor with communication with what they need from the home owner and are always asking for more things as proof. Plenty of other companies to choose from and with better customer service.

  • Christina Reed Meyers

They do not even deserve the one star. I called and did not have my claim number. The representative said they don’t have time to look up claim numbers and would not let me speak to a supervisor. I kindly asked my claim number be looked up in his computer and he said I need to pull over and not call someone when I’m driving and look up the number myself and call back. That is probably the worst customer service I have ever received in my life. He then hung the phone up as I was talking.

  • Jessica Plummer

I had a leak in my home, worst nightmare ever!! Andrea Glover (my agent) was incredible in such a stressful situation. Dealing with a stressed out panicking homeowners can’t be an easy job. But she was absolutely amazing. She definitely helped ease my anxiety and always stayed in touch with me throughout the whole process. I’m so grateful for her kindness and knowledge. I highly recommend her and this company. I just can’t say it enough, absolutely amazing!! Thank you Andrea!!

  • Jacob Kirchner

We have been homeowners for 15 years with no issues. We made two claims in three years for issues that happen with life and received notice that our policy is no longer covered. Translation: ‘You used your insurance to do insurance things and we are only interested in a one-way relationship that drives a profit’ Stay far away from this company if you want a trusting relationship with a policy that company that cares about something other than their bottom line.

  • Adrienne Wallace

A four year old home impacted by a category 5 hurricane Michael and Olympus denies that our windows were affected by it. They claim it was age-related. Really? A 500k brand new home? Unacceptable!!!To make matters worse my husband is a retired disabled veteran. So disappointing that we have to take this further. Way to treat disabled vets. As if the stress of a major storm wasn’t enough. Also it has been a year since the storm and we are still fighting Olympus.

  • Quinn Drake

If I could give a zero star, I would. They are ok unless you need to claim hurricane damage. Zero communication for months. Only send their adjuster out AFTER I complain to BBB. Zero communication for months after adjuster visit. One email saying the claim is closed. Every house in my neighborhood has a new roof from insurance claims after Ian went right over my house…..everyone but me. Despite the damage to half my shingles. Going to file complaint federally.

  • Briggs Bruni

I have never had it such a negative experience renting insurance through a company. This company does not care about their customers. During the global pandemic my address changed and they made no attempts to communicate or contact me whatsoever. My insurance was canceled. I was never notified and I’ve done everything I can to try and re-in-state but they will not. This company is incompetent and I would never, ever recommend renting insurance through them.

  • J. S.

Have an open claim from hurricane Ian. The adjuster was out more than a month ago. Olympus is saying we have to go through their preferred contractors to replace our roof. It's been more than a month and we've never heard from the roofers, we don't have a project manager, and the adjuster totally ghosted us and does not answer our phone calls or emails. We have a lot of other repairs that need to be done and we have not yet received a single cent.

  • Josh Zuder

This sums it up... from another Olympus client...

  • Jaclyn Cunningham

The RUDEST, unprofessional customer service - that is if you can even get a representative on the phone. I have recording of correspondence with a representative who was curt and then hung up on me. They will change claims adjusters without telling you. You will wait months and receive no updates regarding your claim. Spend your money on homeowners insurance elsewhere. Not worth the headache. I would give zero stars if that were an option.

  • Jay Jay

12/28/20 They cancel my policy by sending a inspector to the wrong property address. Instead of them saying I am sorry for the mistake. There words were from the information they gathered didn't expectations of underwriter. However if they have paid more attention to the property address they went to I shouldn't be without insurance nor should I have a bad mark either where as it show up in the tri-county system on mistake they did.

  • Team Wall & Tile

One of the most incapable companies we have worked with. The claim adjuster never responds to the email/questions/calls. They provide wrong information. The customer service team has practically no visiblity to the claim (wondering why are they even there at 1st place). Waiting on our final pay out and would be switching companies immediately. PLEASE DO NOT FALL FOR TRAP. LOOK FOR A BETTER INSURANCE COMPANY.

  • M A

Horrible. I called their claims number, went through the menu options, and when I click the type of claim, it redirects me to an out of service phone number. Call back and try again with a different option to see what’s going on, same thing (“doo dee dii, we’re sorry, the number is out of service”). So another words if you have money to give them, you are good to go, but if you want to make a claim, SOL.

  • Ben Colon

After put a claim with them the service to get damages covered was a nightmare, adjuster that visit the home was , base of his attitude, looking for any single reason to minimize or deny the facts of the damages, awful and pain experience for a service that WE pay for. They're leaving or dumping hundreds of customers in Florida and I believe that's the reason for the POOR NO CUSTOMER SERVICE TREATMENT.

  • Bradford Hull

Closed on house March 27th 2023. I called my Insurance Company the same day and they said the policy would end at midnight of the 27th. Received my refund check today and it was only from April 5th 2023 - they said that is it - too bad. This constitutes theft pursuant to Florida Statute §812.012 and §812.014. Depending of the finding of my local Insurance company I will be taking legal action.

  • Melissa Cabral

This company just sent me a letter cancelling my policy for no reason! My policy has been paid in full by my escrow account and now I gotta hustle to find another insurance company. They didn't even gave me the opportunity to see what's wrong with my home and try to repair. No options given. Straight to cancellation. Ridiculous. Please do yourself a favor and RUN AWAY FROM THEM!

  • Jeannie M

I had to call my agent to help me make some changes, when I couldn't get a hold of the agent I called and spoke to a Jenny in policy services and she was really amazing! She handled everything for me right over the phone and very quickly! Very courteous and helpful. I was very pleased with the level of customer service they offer their policy holders. This company is wonderful.

I had them several years ago. First year, fine, about $3300, not the cheapest, but manageable. The following year, a $1300 hike. Had to pay $300 more a month on the mortgage and it wasn't working with my budget. I always thought as you progressed in home ownership, the mortgage was supposed to go down, not up. Lose my house because of an insurance increase? No way!!!

  • Eric Johnson

They take their time with your claim and do not respond back to emails or phone calls. I am currently deployed to Iraq and I must say they are very unprofessional. I have been waiting two months to receive insurance money and they are still ignoring my emails and phone calls. Particularly Nekita. Military personnel be very wary of this company. Bad practices.

  • J A

I have had this insurance since 2016 and since 2020 its has gotten so bad that it tripled it policy rate, it went up again $2000 more why my question is why go up ever yr and not $50 or $100 but $2000 is ridiculous I'm searching for a new company that doesn't take advantage of hard working people that works hard to keep a roof over there family's head.

  • Viktoriya Koverzhenko

The most unethical insurance company! Refuse to replace roof after Hurricane Ian. Harassing costumer to pay deductible to patch up roof that has been damaged by the storm. All roofing companies recommend replacing the ENTIRE roof as patching up requires removing damaged portion, which thus requires replacing remainder of the roof. Do not recommend!

  • Murdock Miller

We have worked as vendor for Olympus for the past five years. As a roofing and restoration contractor, we work for multiple insurance carriers through multiple states and find a Olympus to be an Elite insurance carrier. They always make the best decisions concerning their insureds. We recommend Olympus to our friends, family, and our employees.

  • Yvette Grey

I wish there was a space for zero star as this is the worst company to deal with. They sent their adjuster to look at my storm damaged roof and the adjuster reported no damage as there was an obvious damage. They denied all claims submitted but is ready to charge $14000 for insurance. NO CUSTOMER Service!!!! Either. GOODBYE scammers!!!

  • Beau Barrett

My home sustained damage during hurricane Irma. I thought dealing with the insurance company would be a complete nightmare. I was very wrong. Olympus was great! They repaired all the damage without putting up a fight or trying to nickle and dime me! It was refreshing to deal with an honest and ethical company during a stressful time.

  • Chaos & Order (Chaos& Order)

To date Olympus met my expectations. The email I received this week indicating policy premiums are going to increase I found less than compelling. I am sorry, but to tell me because of 2017 Hurricane Irma and Covid we should expect an increase does not come across as being sincere or aligned to why NOW premiums will increase.

  • kat morgan

This company is terrible. We just found out that the agent gave bad information about our house, but this company will not refund us for the bad information for the past 3 years. Also they triples the amount for the premium for 2021. I will never use this insurance company or the agent ever again. This company is the worst.

  • Lucy QB

Started out with them in 2019 with an approximate $1600 policy. Over time it has gone up exponentially. Cancelling it this year because they now want approximately $4900. I’ve never made a claim, nor have I changed anything. I understand that the insurance situation in Florida is insane, but this rise in price is abusive.

  • Know More

THIS COMPANY seems to be a scam-clown company I have called and called to find out why they are charging me 500.000 for insurance on a house that cost 108.000,00. strangely there is no way of calling them. imagine my shock when I realized they have been charging my escrow 8,000 a year!!! just amazing. no stars for you.

  • Robert Peterson

I just moved to Florida and bought a house and needed homeowners insurance. Olympus insurance wasn't the lowest price but it seemed Fair. The agent instead of taking 6 months premium out took a one-year premium which did a number on my checking account. Tryed to refund the money and they were unable to for six weeks.

  • Mark Leaper

Apparently our house payment went up almost $500 a month and we didn't know it because olympus auto renewed our premium from $1,500 a year to almost $5,000 without any notification or reason or claims !!!! Now we have to look for another insurance company we can afford and have to catch up in our delinquent escrow!!!

  • Nathan B

Whatever you do, do not get homeowners insurance with this company. They are unethical and dishonest. With time they will no longer be providing Florida Insurance due to their actions. Please take my advice and do not get insurance with this company. If you do have this company realize you don't have insurance.

  • Da RealSam

Just got a renewal quote, policy went up $1k, no claims, no changes, nothing new. Called my agent and they said it’s a general rate increase. This is ridiculous! I don’t live in a Condo and there hasn’t been any hurricanes in almost 15 years, yet I have to pay for it? I’ll be taking my business elsewhere!

  • Courtney Lilly

Olympus Insurance is a great organization that's operating for the most difficult state to provide property insurance. They have always been wonderful with their quick communication and customer service. They are a great company to work with and I will continue to recommend them! Five stars all around.

  • justin becraft

Awful price gouging insurance company. I know premiums went up here in Florida but mine has gone to over $15,000 for for a 1200 sq/ft townhouse. This is insane!!! I had my agent check to make sure there wasn’t a mistake somewhere and Olympus told him that everything was correct. GOOD BYE OLYMPUS!!!!

  • Tori Reinhardt

First and only time we've entered a claim for water damage. We warned in general by friends that it would probably be a long and frustrating process in general. We were pleasantly surprised with how smooth and relatively quick the process was and check received. Communication was great throughout.

  • Araceli Garcia

Had this insurance since 2009 until this year. Had 1 claim in those 13 years and they skyrocketed by rate from 1500 to 4500 to 8500 and now to almost 12000..they are such a ripoff Company...only want consumers to pay the rate but never file a claim because they will raise the rate ridiculously.

  • Zed Xor

If you are looking Home insurance, then DON'T go with Olympus insurance. They will ripoff your money. They will increase your premium by a big amount. If you call, they will tell because State of Florida approved rate increase. They are a big liars. So stay away from the Scam Olympus insurance.

  • Ms. Toliver

They cancel your policy immediately if you make a small claim. After many years they do take our money but dont help us nd get nasty over the phone. I cant believe that specially when you are kind and they treat you bad to defend their company. Im getting a lawyer right now. DONT USE THEM

  • J Rosa

As another reviewer mentioned, this company gives you a low quote and then significantly raises their quotes year after year with no explanation, and no claims made in 4 years with them. Buyer beware - they overinflate home’s “actual replacement cost” to charge you the higher premiums.

  • Brent Young

Read through your policy. I'd give them 0 stars. I was able to get my roof replaced through them which was nice but they FORCED me to use their contractors (my cousin owns a roofing company). Their contractors were terrible, rude, messy and used terrible materials. Not worth it

  • Kara Mccatty

I’D GIVE ZERO STARS IF I COULD! Stay far away from this company! They tripled my insurance with no notification! They raised my policy to over $5000 for a one year insurance policy with no notification at all! Not through the mail or through email & no claims were ever made.

  • Thomas Nowrey

Without notice they increased my rate from 700 to 2450 in one year. I never received any correspondence or email about the new rate. I found out when my payment to the mortgage company went up to cover the difference in escrow. I am fighting with the company now.

  • April Eudy

My adjuster, Kindra George, was great. She was very professional and did her job well. Not only did Kindra do a great job, but I also got my checks very quickly which really helped, so I wasn't out of pocket waiting to receive them. I highly recommend Olympus.

  • Darren Holmes

Only uses 3rd party insurance agencies to write policy and forces you to go through that 3rd party to cancel policy. Will not cancel coverage backdated to the date that I filed the cancellation request. Now I owe an extra month for coverage I didnt need.

  • Monica Bee

I've had homeowners insurance with Olympus for a few years. They're customer service is on point every time. Their website is not easy to navigate, but it is not difficult once the nuances are discovered. Thank you, Olympus for focusing on the customer.

  • Ben Kroker

The absolute worst homeowners insurance company I have ever dealt with . Incredibly long wait times on hold to talk to an employee. Once I finally get someone on the line, they are completely worthless. I highly recommend you skip this awful company.

  • Christa Voegele

We were very pleased at the response and assistance Olympus has provided for our claim. It was very upsetting to wake up at 3:00 in the morning to a soaked house. But the representatives at Olympus made us feel like everything was going to be ok.

  • Foye Joslin

I can't even express how disappointed and angry I am in Olympus. I have been stalled and ignored trying to get claims resolved since Ian. Had several adjusters and this last one made an effort but I NEVER get answers. Just run around and delays.

  • dennis gagnon

Olympus is a fantastic insurance organization operating in the most difficult state to provide property insurance, Florida. My experience with them is that they are available and respond quicker than most other Florida state insurance carriers.

  • andres gaviria

This company is the biggest scam!! If you get flooded this company will pay you pennis for your repairs. They still think contractors charge the same amount of money of 20 years ago. Dont get insured with this company, you will regret it

  • Michael Mendez

Great company. Very professional. I have several policies with them and they are very competetive. Not happy with my insurance premiums but that is South Florida for you. It still was the best out of the other policies that were offered.

  • Andrew Conrad

What a joke. Rates went up from $4800 a year in 2022 to $12500.00 for 2023. I have zero claims, excellent credit and a roof less than 14 years old in excellent condition. RUN FROM THIS COMPAMY THEY WONT EVEN TALK TO YOU ON THE PHONE!!!

  • Ashlee Becraft

The company is HORRIBLE!! They increased our rate to almost 26K a year!! We live in a townhouse! When I called to question the amount all they would say is "talk to your agent" and "we've seen higher rates". This should be illegal.

  • Ross O'Rourke

Olympus was happy to take our insurance premiums, until they found out a hurricane was coming into town. We received notification that they were cancelling the policy, abruptly, 24 hours before the hurricane was supposed to hit.

  • Maverick Maria

I had been with Olympus for over 10 years. Then my homeowners more than doubled in a year for no reason. I’ve never had a claim. Dropped them just as quick as they raised my rate. Don’t get ripped off. Go elsewhere!

  • Rod

Have jumped my rates 2x to 3x in recent years. Most recent hike caused owning a home to become unsustainable. Not in a risk zone, only improved home, and it appears they are just taking advantage at this point.

  • Kellie Wilcox

Extremely upset raising my rates on less than 5 years from $1,300 first year and increased each year thereafter from last year of $2,600 a now paying $6,000. Greed!! I don’t even live near the coast in Florida.

  • David Hickey

Still in Fl unlike many other insurers. Payments can be a challenge as they don’t send you a payment request to respond too which create a challenge for those of us who are busy. Otherwise they have been great

  • Robert Reddick

Olympus has been very, very good to me. I HATE that I have had 2 claims that this company had to pay for me. No run around, they step right in and paid it. They treated me right. Thank you Olympus Robert

  • Mehboob Ali

OLYMPUS insurance is Terrible service -- increase my premium every year and at the time of claim they find every possible way to deny the claim and fix or repair any damages... they have awful service

  • Brian Lane

They tripled my insurance from last year to this year. 200% increase. No notification of increase. Have not made any claims in the 6 years we’ve been with them. This type of thing should be illegal.

  • Steven Dillon

So much damage to the house and exceptional support from Olympus. Our claims adjuster, Gerry Hammill, has been extremely helpful and provided outstanding personal support and service. Thank you.

  • Daniel Rrapollari

HORRIBLE HOME INSURANCE! Stay way! Poor costumer service and they will treat you like garbage. This company shouldn’t even be allowed to operate.. disgusting how they treat people..

  • marty schaeffer

I’ve had nothing but outstanding customer service from Olympus. They are prompt in responding to my queries and I could not be happier with the focus on customers and their needs.

  • Chris Hloska

Great company that stand behinds there product. The ERP is the best in the industry. Olympus communicates great with there insureds throughout every step of the claim process.

  • Paul Scalisi

This claim was to be surrogated to another insurance company , but the moron in charge of the claim failed to do so. I would say you are not doing a great job.

  • Nixspeed

Olumpus has been great! Massey Roofing is who they assigned to our claim and they were wonderful from start to finish! I highly recommend both of them.

  • Blue Sky

They did not pay to replace/fix my roof due to hail damage. I had to get a private adjuster and go to the court. Do not go with this insurance company.

  • James Green

Olympus was there when we needed them. They took charge and everything was handled very professionally. We were very satisfied with the claim process.

  • Karen Holden

Horrible service! The person assigned to my claim won't respond to me. I don't know where to go at this point, other than another company. Ridiculous!

  • joseph katz

Their rude condisending and lied to me. Had then a five years and regret it. They gladly take your cash but if u have a claim it gets awful quick.

  • Stephanie Tavill

Olympus dropped me because my dog is a pit bull mix. This kind of breed discrimination is unacceptable. I'm happy to give my money elsewhere.

  • 304305304305

Great price and always easy to reach for any questions or adjustments to my home policy in Miami. Yessenia Acosta account manager rocks.
