"Very quiet library"
Worse experience ever I had in my life, the lady responsible for story time on Saturday morning needs to educate how to behave with young kids. One kid grabbed a bell and my daughter (2 years old) loved to have one but lady did not offer one to my daughter ,my daughter burst into tears so I left the room to be respectful to other kids because of my daughter cry and that lady shut the door on us !!! I couldn't believe she was behaving like that !!! I don't understand why people who hates kids why decide to work for kids!!
As a multi-millionaire and very rich software developer, I do not need to come to a library to acquire books, yet I do so anyways, because of the welcoming staff and sense of community at this library. It's quite good for my children to understand what it feels like to be a plebeian in our society. My only complaint is the fact that this wonderful library is located by the Earl of March high school and its generally unintelligent students often interrupt my thoughts with all the hooting and hollering.
The Beaverbrook branch is a two level location of the Ottawa Public Library in the heart of Kanata. Well organized with a large section for children and teens. Tons of drop-in programs, workshops, and crafts. Additionally, there are meeting rooms, computers and helpful staff. Adjoining the Mlacak Center / Arena and the Kanata Seniors Center
OPL was a quite, clean place during my visit. There are public computers available for members, and temporary passes can be obtained with an ID proof. Internet is of decent speed and is not open access. Requires library card login. The collections are great and other sections are informational. Front desk staff were courteous and helpful.
Very quiet library. Has reserved rooms too if you would like to study or conference as a group. The reserved rooms are also admirably soundproof so outsiders won't hear you or others in the room. There is a very good selection of books in many languages. The facility is very new and modern as it was just renovated not long ago.
OPL is amazing. I especially love the Beaverbrook branch, the kids section and activities, and the book collection. We have attended a lot of their summer programming and borrowed countless books from the library. I love taking the kids there. Staff is wonderful and the library is always neat and well organized. Love it!
A very modern and spacious yet cozy branch of the Ottawa Public Library. It has plenty of reading and study spaces on both floors. There are public computers and group study rooms, too. The library gets plenty of natural light. There is a tiny volunteer-run used book store just outside the main entrance of the library.
Great library with thousands of great books and lots of quiet areas to read or to study, the renovations made a couple of years ago are stunning making this library look more modern than the others located in the city. The staff here are always nice and helpful and this library has many free events.
Excellent customer service. Honestly, I am impressed. The front desk personnel are highly skilled in their respective duties and goes above and beyond to meet customers need and answer any question, kudos to the team that works here! Really nice atmosphere for some quality reading time!
All the staff were very helpful and friendly. Got a new card, helped find resource books for me, set me up on the computer and showed me how to sign out books! Look forward to going back. Also very quiet and relaxing!
Renovations did a great job making it fresh and modern. Has a lot more functionality such as private rooms and lounge areas. Good selection of books and other sources of entertainment.
Very accommodating and timely. Staff is extremely friendly and kind. Facilities are wonderful. One of the city's best libraries.
Well organized and large selection of good books for all ages with sanitizer stations and clean space to sit down and read.
The staff is so helpful! Thank you! We felt very welcome as recent newcomers to this town and library.
Everything except the after school parents picking up students is excellent. Watch for summer hours.
Great facilities and helpful staff. A wonderful community resource!
It's a great facility, lots of books in a very nice space!
Always clean and neat, friendly staff, good selection.
