Placing an order was easy and the couch looked promising. But once my order was placed, I got no further correspondence unless I asked first about order updates. No confirmation of delivery date, and when the promised lead-time passed of 7 to 14 business days, I had to follow up again. Then the chaos started, with my delivery date being promised one day, on that day I follow up, just to be told it has changed. My couch ended up coming more than a week later than promised. And, although this was out of OHD's hands and in the hands of the courier, the couch arrived on the back of a bakkie (you'd think it would come in a truck in the middle of a winter storm), completely drenched. This has resulted in a couch with water stains, and despite two rounds of steaming and scrubbing/blotting with a variety of "how to get water stains out of upholstery" hacks, the stains remain. No one followed up with me again despite complaining and even though I was offered a delivery discount, this was also never followed through. The couch is comfortable, yes, just a pity I have to cover some of the permanent staining. Wont use this service again.

I'm am so happy with my Ottoman 2 sleeper couch. Thank you to Miriam keeping me updated with my delivery as the factory had to close due to the chaos with the strikes last week. As well as their driver Godfrey, he phoned me each day to say it wasn't safe. Today my sleeper couch arrived. Godfrey & Coffee brought it in and showed me how it goes into a bed then back to a couch. I have never experienced such brilliant service from ordering to delivering. Thank you Ottoman for my lovely sleeper couch. You have a great team that is so professional & customer orientated. OK so you skeptical? It's South Africa and spending 10K on a couch through an ONLINE company makes u think ... "Are they going to scam me?" Well, these people deliver and I'm impressed, after months of shopping around I didn't think it was necessary to spend 40K on a couch in well branded shops, so I found these guys and I'm very impressed, couches are much larger than expected so choose wisely.... Beautiful craftsmen ship for the money you paid .... and hey it comes with CUSHIONS!!!

Bad bad customer service , no one contacts you via phone even if mess up on their end. No apologies, no contactable numbers. The foam is rock hard don’t even know who or where to address this so stuck with it and need to make my own resolve. No one even checked if coach received, am I happy, any issues? Wouldn’t order from them again just because of the experience.

The couch is incredible. It is even better than we imagined. Though a little bumpy in the beginning communication wise we really did appreciate their efforts in getting it to us in time, being as receptive to us with our concerns and updating us throughout the process. We received it Monday afternoon and couldn’t be happier. This piece has made our house a home.

Ordered a sleeper couch with some custom elements from Ottoman HD and I'm very happy with the quality, given the price point. My only feedback would be to improve on communication, especially because the business is based online. Things like regular updates via email, courtesy check-ins, etc. would definitely increase the trust factor.

I just had my couch arrive today. Absolutely stunning ! Well worth it. Very reasonable pricing and quick turnaround time. I had to reschedule delivery and they still accommodated for me as well as delivered much before the expected date since I needed it to come early. Would definitely recommend. Received my custom ordered couch as promised. Definitely quality worth the price - would recommend improvement on communication maybe every 3 or 4 days once the order has been placed - even if the couch isn't finished its a good idea to keep your client up to date every other day.

Do not use these guys. Poor quality. Couch is pulling apart at the seems. The sponge is falling flat. They have been promising a replacement for weeks now. Turns out it is a scam story. We want a refund but this falls on deaf ears. Just stay away.
