Hubby and I went out for a quick lunch recently, and chose Outside In, which is not far from us. Hubby went for the sweet corn and pumpkin fritters, while I chose potato cakes with smoked salmon and poached eggs. He drank a white chocolate milkshake, and I had my usual cappuccino. My coffee went down well - strong, with some cute artwork on top plus chocolate powder - winner! Hubby's shake was "nice and cold", said he. Always a bugbear with him, that the milk is never cold enough, but no worries here. Then came the fritters, and the potato cake (aka The Favourite on the menu). The hash cake (makes me giggle every time I write that) was a little grainy, nicely herby and crispy-browned on the outside. I wasn't sure of the overall flavour? Hubby thought it may have been blue cheese, but on checking the menu I see it was fetta and chive. I was expecting something more like a rosti, but it came as a soft-textured mash/hash (as per the menu - my bad). My eggs were nicely runny (just the way I like 'em); there was zucchini and spinach and a tasty (mustard?) sauce over the top. All up, a fine and tasty lunch. And then a couple of weeks later ... "Let's do lunch!" I urged hubby, so off we trotted to Outside In again. Like every café these days, you order at the counter, and your food is then brought to your table. You can grab yourself some water at the water station, and find your own seat. Cappuccino again for me, while the hubster had a strawberry thickshake this time. (He reminded me here that the lady behind the counter did in fact bring us a carafe of water with glasses.) He went for the sweet potato cakes special of the day. I chose deluxe smashed avo, with beetroot hummus, bacon and fetta. His dish had a generous amount of sliced avo, with two eggs and the dreaded kale. Neither of us are fans of this leaf (cowfeed, my friends, cowfeed) but he said it wasn’t too bad and he scoffed it all down. The sweet potato cake looked a wee bit over-browned and over-crisped for me, but hubby was happy. I loved the beetroot hummus - a little bit chunky/creamy/earthy and a delightful hot pink; eggs once again perfectly runny, nice and crispy bacon, plus smashed avo and dukkah! Not sure what sort of bread it came on, but it did the job. And I think you can say it is a pretty healthy and enjoyable lunch. They do have a beef burger, and a healthy salad, and a goodie bowl with quinoa so you can indulge in the healthy stuff too, if you so desire. You can add extras like smoked salmon, bacon, mushrooms or halloumi to your meals for $4 a pop. And there's coffees, and frappés, and smoothies (spinach anyone?) and teas galore. It has bike racks, and room for kids and dogs, so everyone is covered:-).
We had a mixed dining experience for breakfast this morning. Positives - orange, ginger and apple juice was lovely; coffees were good temp and soy milk frothed well; atmosphere was quite nice and cushions on chairs was a comfy addition; service was pleasant. Needs improvement - the green smoothie was flavourless, it may as well have just been coconut water; coffees were weak - even my double shot smaller coffee (paid extra) - hubby noted that instead of pouring straight from the machine, they were pouring into shot glasses (why???) so this probably reduced the amount of coffee; fritters needed to get rid of the aioli and serve with a relish for a bit of extra flavour; bacon was too salty, like they had added extra salt during cooking.

Great coffee and breakfast, relaxed vibes, no issues getting a table but always bustling with activity. I like chilling in the half sun half shade spots but there are plenty of sheltered tables. Next door to Frankie4 shoes. Love this local cafe!

After driving past here for so long, I decided to pop in for breakfast today, and it did not disappoint! Service was friendly and speedy - had my hot chocolate in hand what felt like moments after sitting down. And the food came out quickly as well. I had the Eggs Benedict - which is my go-to brekkie whenever I dine out - and it was superb. Will certainly be back in future!

Rose & Edward is a great little coffee shop around the corner from our kids school. On hot days I have a cold press coffee which is brilliant. My standard Latte is stella also. Friendly and laid back staff are always great and also go the extra mile. Dog friendly with water and treats , my Jack Russell gives 5 paws. French toast was amazing , and I love the toasties they do also are tops. Standout coffee shop in Northern Brizvegas burbs worth chilling out at.
Very nice food and coffee from this cafe. Fiance also ordered the juice and said it was fantastic. Service was excellent and the staff were very attentive despite how busy it was. The decor of the place is very interesting, as the name would suggest. It is a completely outside cafe so be aware that if you don't like the heat or flies that it could impact your opinion. Personally loved it and will be coming back when I can :)
The Eggs Benedict with bacon was cooked perfect! The house made hollandaise was delicious and sourdough toast was great! The coffee is Elixir and was sooo good!! The staff and service was friendly and we were made welcome. Plenty of seating inside.

Have only just found this place recently. I absolutely love it. Laid, back friendly service, good food and really good coffee. I love that I can take my dog with me. The salmon bowl I had the day I went was fresh and tasty with a delicious dressing even though it was healthy! Highly recommend you give it a go.

Breakfast at the Outside In Cafe was absolutely scrumptious. My choice of the Savoury Mince 21 was sensational. It was very tasty and served with two Poached Eggs. The Poached Eggs were cooked a treat. I was most impressed with the Chai Latte that had a hint of aniseed that a treat to my senses.

The cafe gives a feeling of warm and cosy. A nice place for friends or families getting together. There is no parking lots but several street parking slots available. Carrot cake served was a bit hard and not fresh enough. But the staff were very friendly. The inside area is wonderfully quiet.

Ordered savory mince and Benedict eggs, yummmmmmm. The coffee is great too. Feels like the cocoa powder for mocha can upgrade a little for some fine taste, but all in all, they are doing a great job already.

Hey guys, I have been around many cafes over the last couple of years but none of them combined a quiet atmosphere, excellent food and friendly staff faces. I got the special "chilli crambled eggs with chorizo", the best meal I got in a long time! Definitely we'll be back!

This has got to be one of the best breakfast in a cafe I have ever had. Service with covid is a worry when they cleaned down the table or should I say a quarter of the table without much thought. Otherwise the food service was good. Rate the foot 10 out 10. Lovely outdoor area also. Worth the stop in.
Such a good little find for my Sunday brunch. Although they were busy they kept their customer service at a high level and made sure I got a table and was able to order. Food came out pretty fast considering they were busy. Will definitely be back!
