Not great customer service I was booked an appointment same day, cabbed over for the agreed upon time, but was then told I was an hour late. Actually her first words were "we double booked", which was quickly corrected as "you are late", but that's not important. I reluctantly agreed to rebook the appointment for the following day- it wasn't much of a choice though, as it was the only option offered to me at the time. Now, I don't drive and my cat does not like car rides. It is a bit of an ordeal for him, me and anyone else who has the pleasure of riding with him. so after calling a cab over, spending 1 minutes at the Vet, I had to turn around and do it all over again. In the moment, I didn't really think much of it- in my mind, it really isn't there problem I don't have a car. Maybe if I had mentioned that I had to cab to get there, they would have been considerate? who knows So after I left, I talked with my partner a bit and she did not agree at all with the way OAH handled the situation. So she called them to ask about it. I wasn't present for this conversation, so I can't say who was rude to whom first, but whoever answered the phone that day did not conduct themselves professionally in the slightest. From what I was told, a small argument over the whole situation evolved, and ended with the receptionist saying that if we didn't like their service, she would be happy to send our file to a different Vet. Shortly after this argument happened, OAH called me to offer to waive my exam fee. Great, that was awesome, problem solved, right? Not so much So I go for the appointment, all is well, I follow up the next week, hunky dory. However, OAH continues to call my partner and leave messages about this follow up regarding our Cat- even though I already took him in, and had followed up myself. Naturally, She did not return their calls, because A) I had already followed up about this, and B) because she didn't want to talk to them after being treated so poorly on the phone. Cut to a month or so down the road, which was a few days ago, I call to order some special food that kitty needs. They tell me they closed my file because my partner didn't follow up, so this is the last time they will order cat food for me. So because my partner didn't want to talk to them after the way she was treated, they closed my file. Even though, I had already followed up multiple times regarding the cat. I am just unsure about the whole thing. The thing that gets me, is if I 'missed' my appointment by an hour, why didn't they call and ask if I was coming? isn't there usually missed appointment fees associated with such things? Anyway, sorry that was a bit long, had to be sure the convey all relevant information. I wanted to give 2 stars, because the Vet/Vet tech were good. But I couldn't bring myself to do it. if you have a vehicle like a 'normal' person, I'm sure this is a good place to take your fur babies.

Had an appointment for my 17 year Bichon whose in her final stage of Life. Pooch is been having some issues with her bottom, lots of scooting and anxiety especially at night. I'm sure there are many, that are really struggling financially through these hard times! A Dr M Tamer walked him in to the room, have dealt with him before, pleasant and cordial, NOT this time, and I would NOT would recommend anyone. Came in very defensive like I was taking up his time, couldn't even ask a question which was simply to cut us a break? I suggested politely, if he could take a look and IF needed prescribe a topical to treat her bottom. An affirmative NO was the reply, quite rude about it, as he kept opening the door to leave like we were just one big bother. Would not have the tech treat us for the services we had booked. Said he has 'other' appointments and said that he was busy, I replied I had a scheduled appointment booked and it was now 10:30, time for it... Its just a business for 'some' of them, he would be one of those. No compassion, nothing for the animal, didn't even bother to look or say hello to the dog. (Dog is God spelled backwards), and this particular individual that calls himself a professional was nothing like a professional, nothing! Its all about the money! I volunteered for yrs at the local shelter. It was heartbreaking to see so many homeless dogs and cats. Why? Was told by patrons, customers, they wouldn't be able to afford Veterinarian fees, unless they took out a second mortgage, REALLY? Pathetic & unacceptable. We have found a new vet, very close by, and are much happier with the result and services rendered, even better pricing. Shop around guys, do it for our furbabies, they are so worth all the unconditional love they drown us in. I was so insulted, and hurt for my little furry friend. All the staff at Oxford were pleasant to deal with through the past 8 years, not Dr Tamer any longer. I hope none of you endure the kind of stress we both experienced as the dog picked on all of it, as we always say, 'they know'! And, they do! These creatures are so highly intelligent. Again, ALL us dog owners know it well. Thank you.

Awful customer service Refused us service after seeing my 3 star review, edits have been made. Totally unprofessional. Double booked us, 40 bucks in cabs to not see a doctor, no phone call when they booked at wrong time and said WE missed it. On the phone the lady just said she wasn't the one to book so I am mistaken. Unless, didn't even offer to reduce check up fee for their mistakes. Told me that the confirmation call (THAT THEY DID NOT MAKE) said 330. Totally silly, wouldn't even alow us to wait, told us to come back. Rude and unbelievable. Edit : after a huge argument on the phone telling me to go see another vet, she calls my partner back offering some compensation on the fee. That's all great and well but they completely refuse to acknowledge their mistake and told him when he came for his make up appointment that it was his fault for being late and that when he missed the slot they mistakenly entered his appointment for they were "to busy and can't call every customer who is late for an appointment" Yes that's right. Booked us and then couldn't make a 30 second phone call to correct the situation, when we were booked for an appointment they no longer had to del with, then repeatedly blamed us for their mistake. Girl on the phone kept saying "he was fine coming in tomorrow" even though he was clearly unimpressed and the doctor said had they known we cabbed they would have made time, but they didn't really give him any option. Vet care was fine... vet seemed nice enough.... but over all, customer service was atrocious.... EDIT 0 stars. Called me saying if I'd like to go over the information they already went over with Tyler I could call for a follow up, I didn't feel a need to do so, Tyler is a capable adult. Then refused him service and suspended our customer file because I didn't touch base with them after they saw my review. Won't even order cat food. Totally unprofessional and rude.

It's like going to a Sales presentation, the staff first thing to do was to advise on the cost per consultation wich is average, however that was a 5 minutes consultation and a 5 minutes sales presentation to offer 2 diferent treatments. I didn't go with either one. People who study medicine should do it for passion first business later. Turns out my dog is allergic to grass only. No need to buy expensive keeble or change dietary habits just as everyone was suggesting. Will not recommend and will never come back to this place. Update. First of all, Vatos allergy is gone. No food changes and no monthly medications, as your suggestion was. Secondly the examination took less than 5 minutes. The history you referenced was just answers to questions on changes of diet and what he was being fed to what I point to what I thought was the problem this was an assumption in my behalf. You offered 2 options a cheap one and a more costly one. Yes, you mentioned that the cheap one was a risky specially for a pup. And that he will need a treatment like this for the rest of his life. I told you exactly what I posted here and that I was going to be looking for a second opinion. My statement remains. This is a money motivated Vet clinic, sadly most clinics are. I don't mind the business side of it as long as real interest in patients is the number one priority and finding real lasting solution and not wallet draining implementation.

Oxford Animal Hospital is by far the best vet out there! A while back we got our frenchie neutered here and he had issues with leaking from his genital area which when I called back the next day they got him in within an hour, it was not related to the neutering however but was determined another issue, we got medicine for him which was to be given over 10 days he some how ended up eating the 10 days worth the next day and again they got him in right away and helped us through this issue. We moved, and moved vets only due to convince and travel however our cat recently had issue with going to the bathroom which the vet ER couldn't get a urine sample and refused medication other than an anti-inflammatory. She was still having issues so we tried to get into our new vet however they couldnt get us in until Friday, but she's being having discomfort peeing for a few days now we didn't want to wait nor did we want to go back to the vet ER to be charged an arm and a leg to be told the same thing. Oxford vet took her in the same day, ran all the tests and finally we got the meds she needs. Needless to say we have switched back because convince and travel mean nothing when you can't even get in. Oxford vet goes above and beyond and are always willing to help. I would travel hours to come here if need be as I know my animals are getting the good care they need and deserve!!

I have been going here since this place opened and it is FANTASTIC!!! I have been to many and I mean many vet clinics for dogs and cats and this place stole my heart! Both veterinarians are wonderful my Sphynx cat was so sick and it happened so fast that when I got her there she was almost dead and they saved her!!!!! I had another cat who had a major surgery and they went in over night to check on my baby on there own time. They are true animal lovers and you will see just how they really care so much from the minute you meet them. The ladies at the front are ALWAYS so welcoming and friendly they love each and every animal that walks through there door they are usually so busy and no matter what they are always so sweet and kind! They will treat you just like family. They have all stole my heart! Love you guys so much!!!!! I would never trust my animals in the hands of any other place. You can leave knowing your babies are always in loving and caring hands.

After calling numerous clinics attempting to get a same day appt for my cat, I contacted the Oxford Animal Hospital. From the initial phone call all the way through to the end of my visit, I was thoroughly impressed with the service provided. They were able to get me in 3 hours after my call. When advised I was a first time client, they made sure to be clear and concise on their appt fees, no surprises. I saw Dr. Wesam Awadin, and I have never been more impressed with a vet even after years of pet ownership and numerous vet visits. She was kind, thorough and did not rush the appt. She ensured I had all the necessary information and answered all my questions. She did a through checkup of my pet even though we were there for specific reason. I felt heard, validated and knew my pet was well taken care of. Regardless of their office being a 35 min drive from home, they absolutely have a regular client after that day. Sometimes the drive and is just worth it.

As always, nothing but positive experiences at this vet. Dr. Tamar and Dr. Wasams Clinic is a mom and pop vet, and the office feels like a family business. My three pugs have had many many health issues, ranging from chronic UTIs and eye infections, all the way to a possibly fatal liver shunt. The doctors have always treated my pups like their own, and I have seen them handle difficult situations with tact, kindness, and sensitivity. Dr. Tamar actually had tears in his eyes when my friend had to have her 3 year old cat euthanized. I don't say that to embarrass him, I say that because it is a great example of the care you will receive. I have lived across Canada and experienced many different vets, but oxford is the best. I won't trust my beloved fur babies with anyone else. The vets have been the difference of life and death for my younger dog at least twice. Thank you for everything oxford vet!

I absolutely love Oxford Vet, they saved our kitty Wallace 2 summers ago when he had urinary crystals and was going to die. They just fixed a serious oversight when our blue heeler managed to rip out her stitches from an Easter mishap with glass in the field we play in. I used to complain about the prices of vets (and I am still determined to convince a politician to add pet insurance to taxes….).. we had to take pup to the Emergency as Oxford and all vets are closed on Easter, and they charged $200 less to do basically the same thing.. so I’ll definitely be sticking to Oxford when I can. Thanks for reading, I hope that your day gets better if you’re looking up reviews. I’ve had 4 animals at Oxford and I’ve always been happy with the result, pick these guys if they’re open. I recommend Vet ER if you can’t manage to get them, they did excellent with our pup as well.

Dr.Tamer is amazing! He is one of the best veterinarians we have had the pleasure of working with! We met Dr.Tamer when we had an emergency and had to visit a vet in Edmonton. After our initial visit, we knew it would be worth the drive from Calgary to see him. He is extremely thorough and explains the rationale for all his interventions. He even shows diagrams and explains the anatomy and physiology of things. We never leave the vet questioning what happened. It’s so easy to see how passionate he is about this field. Truly a breath of fresh air. Max (our dog) has had a history of being difficult to give vaccinations too. Dr. Tamer gave Max 3 vaccinations and he didn't feel a single thing! He also expressed his anal glands and I didn’t even notice because he did it so effortlessly. Thank you so much Dr. Tamer for being so amazing!! We appreciate you so so much!

Hello. I have two cats. We came in for a check up for both cats. Especially their teeth. Doctor Wesam is very kind. She is easy to talk to. She demonstrated how to properly brush my cats teeth. The nurses who work there even clipped my cats nails for me and showed me how to do it at home. The women who work at the front desk make paying the bills and any bill questions easy to figure out. They always told me the price of everything before we did any check ups, blood tests etc. There was always paperwork with all the pricing details laid out. My one cat had to get dental surgery and I am happy to report he is recovering very well. Oxford animal clinic called me a few days after my cat’s surgery to check on him. Very thoughtful. I believe the prices to be fair for the service provided. I am very happy and would recommend doctor Wesam and her clinic.

Dr. Wesam Awadin and the staff at the front desk are amazing. My dog turns into a different dog at the vet and becomes very fear reactive, to the point where she only allows me to touch her and she requires a muzzle during physical examinations . (She has been like this at vets since I rescued her at a younger age). I have had poor reactions at other vets in the past who roll their eyes at my dog and I or get annoyed that she is barking from anxiety, as well as act very scared around her. Dr. Wesam Awadin and the staff were so understanding and assured me it was okay and normal for some dogs to behave this way when at the vet. Dr. Wesam Awadin made my dog feel so comfortable, to the point where my dog allowed her to do the physical examination on her with no issue or stress! This doctor is knowledgeable, patient and kind!

I love this vet! The ladies at the front desk were absolutely wonderful when I called in for an appointment for my 7 month old puppy. They were so kind and compassionate over the phone when I was clearly upset about why I needed to bring my puppy in. Dr Tammer Mahmound was wonderful while he was examining Zora. You can tell he really cares about giving his patients the best quality care possible. Zora is usually petrified of new people. Especially men and he was so gentle with her. She ended up needing antibiotics for a eye infection, and he also prescribed her some anxiety medication. I left there very satisfied with the care Zora received yesterday. Her eye is clearing up and looking so much better already. Thankyou everyone at Oxford animal hospital for providing such a pleasant experience.

I dont even know where to begin explaining how good this clinic is. Not my first visit and most definitely not my last. Ive experienced nothing but the best treatment. Everybody here is so respectful and understanding. I needed to get an appointment asap because I was worried and I knew Oxford animal hospital would not let me down and I stood correct. Once I had called they told me that they were very busy but they would squeeze me in and get me seen right away. I head on over and within minutes I was in the exam room and the doctor was doing his exam. They listed out all my options on how to care for my baby and in no way did I feel pressure or rushed to make a decision. They treat your babies like their own. Cannot thank Oxford Animal Hospital enough for all they have done for me!!

I am amazed at the high level of professionalism, quality service, and positive experience at this clinic. Dr. Tamer, Dr. Wesam and the rest of the team have really come through for my animal recently. Especially after I had been let down down by repeated negative experiences at a couple of other previous animal vet clinics that didn't know what they were doing. Oxford had actually provided me with the accurate diagnosis for my animal's current condition while being very honest about the time I have left with her. They have helped extend the quality of life, bringing her back into a healthy state again. So, I'm happy and grateful that I came across this clinic that really displayed genuine compassion and excellent service.

My dog suddenly injured her leg and Oxford animal hospital got us in right away after we called! They were so understanding of my concerns and they explained everything from start to finish. I’ve never had such amazing care at a vet and they made a somewhat traumatic experience into a positive experience! They showed me videos on the surgery my dog needs and explained her X-rays for her torn ACL. They’re not pushing surgery on me like other vets have and let me make the decision to do the conservative method or the tplo surgery! First visit for an emergency with my 2 year old Morkie. I have been to other vet clinics, this outshines them all. Super clean and helpful. Professional. Knowledgeable. Maxx saw Veterinary Dr. Tamer Mahmoud. Not only was he compassionate as he examined Maxx, he showed me what to look for in future. He did complete bloodwork to rule out systemic disease etc. Provided me with prescription medication for Max’s condition as well as a portfolio to take home with copies of bloodwork results and information on Max’s condition and the treatment. They will also follow up in one week with me. Which is a very nice bonus. Maxx is happy and so am I.

While I've only gone to Oxford Animal Hospital once, I will definitely take my kitty back in case of emergency. I took Cilantro as a first time cat owner to get his vaccines after adopting him and everyone was lovely. The receptionist was kind and the veterinarian took his time to throughly answer my questions (and there were many very silly questions). While I don't regularly visit Oxford Animal Hospital anymore (I take Cilantro to the clinic I now work at), I cannot recommend it enough to anyone looking for a vet. Thank you for making my first experience with a veterinarian clinic a positive, kind, and informative one.

We bring our dog and cat here. Honestly such a lovely place. The staff are so friendly, they explain things very well. I have been to so many vets in the past that try to use guilt or shame to get you to spend more. Oxford vet doesn't do that. They understand that majority of the time when you're going to the vet, its for unexpected visits which can mean unexpected costs. They offered a solution when we were having trouble giving out pet meds, they provided pictures from our pets surgeries, their diagnosis are accurate, and their billing is clear. Highly recommend for a positive stress free experience!

Update: My third cat went for her first routine checkup. She had fun exploring the exam room, lots of good sniffing! My other cat had to visit a couple of days later for an ongoing condition. She is a very timid cat that doesn't like adventures out of the house. Dr Neven did a wonderful job looking after her and keeping her calm and relaxed. They are wonderful with my furry family and are very accommodating. Dr Wesam and Dr Tamer have also looked after my little ones and, along with all of the staff there, really care about animals and I would trust them with my furry family any day.

This vet hospital took both my poor pugs in when they were having tummy issues..the vet did not rush she explained everything clearly and actually examined my girls properly and professionally. This was our very first visit here and I definitely will be bringing my girls here from now on. I am 100% happy with the doctor and her thorough consultation. I definitely reccomend this hospital for all of your animals if you want a doctor that actually cares about the animal first and foremost. Thank you very much for helping my girls when they needed it.

I said goodbye to my best friend of 16 years today and the entire team's compassion and sincerity made today simple and as painless as this milestone can be. I love this place so much, I always used to take my puppy to another hospital whenever something was wrong or even for things like check ups, and he always hates going, but ever since I started taking him to Dr. Tamer I can tell he feels safe and he’s at ease, Dr. Tamer even takes the time to explain what is wrong and what will be done in detail so that I fully understand what’s happening. Love the staff, love the environment and would recommend this place to anyone who wants their pets to be properly taken care of treated right.

Dr. Wessam and Dr. Tamer were amazing with my 4 year old dog. He was properly diagnosed with Laxating Patella after seeing him walk and limp and they quickly arranged a surgery for him. The surgery was very successful! He is still in the recovery phase but he is back to walking on all four legs. These doctors were very helpful and quick to answer any questions I had regarding his surgery and recovery. The receptionists and all the staff are very nice and very friendly! Would highly recommend them!

I called for an appt on short notice for my cat with FLUTD who had shown signs of becoming blocked. They were able to get me in within hours and each staff member was so friendly and welcoming. The vet was so kind and compassionate. He gave a thorough explanation of the process and made me feel like my cat was going to receive the best care possible. They went above and beyond today at this clinic to make me feel comfortable and like my cat will be cared for. I would recommend them to anyone.

The staff at Oxford have been amazing for both of our visits there. My dog had pyometra and they were able to get her in and operated on right away, the operation was successful and she healed up just fine. We recently went back for seasonal allergy symptoms and were met with the same care and warm experience as the first visit, we will 100% be going to them again, and would highly recommend them to anyone needing pet services thank you again Oxford staff-Minnie and Leslie

5 star clinic ***** You are greeted either on the phone or in person by the friendly staff. They went out of there way to ask the Dr about my cat's urgent needs and show they care. The Dr's are extremely friendly, compassionate, knowledgeable and take time to explain everything to you. I took my dog Hayley into Oxford for the first time this week. We'd been to see 5 other vets and Hayley was never comfortable around any of them. She had no issues with the team there. During the exam, the doctor was informative and even brought out a tablet to show me digitally what he was talking about in medical terms and kept me informed. He was helpful and friendly. Wonderful clinic. They really take the time to listen to your concerns and advise accordingly. Treated each of my three dogs individually based on their different personalities. I had to have a dog euthanized a few years ago, and they were fantastic they really cared about what we were going through and gave us all the time we needed to say goodbye. We took our dog in to discuss what we could do for her anxiety and the doc refused to address the actual issue and give her any help that she needs. Instead he recommended us doing a $7800 allergy test. All this vet wants is your money, not to actually help your pet. Scam is all I can say, made us pay $100 for nothing. Definitely won’t be coming back.

I unfortunately had to make the choice to put my cat down and the people at Oxford were incredibly patient and kind throughout the whole process. They laid out all my options and were very helpful and not pushy and cared about what I thought was best for my little buddy. It was still painful but they made it so much less so. These guys are the best! From the moment you step inside, you can feel how much they care about each pet and each pet's family. My cat has been coming here since he was 6 weeks old when I got him. Always been very easy to deal with and a very consistent vet. He recently got a lion cut and is less grumpy now because he had got over grown with his fur and it started to matte. Overall highly recommend this veterinary clinic.

Everyone is super friendly and takes their time. I was nervous bringing my reactive dog to a new vet but they made it as comfortable of a visit as it could be. I had a bad experience at another vet near by so I was extremely happy with todays visit. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Oxford Vet!

I took my cat in this morning because I was worried she had gastrointestinal issues, and all the staff were so amazing with her! She was very scared and they helped her calm right down, and as a nervous cat mom, they explained everything really well and took excellent care of my baby!

I didnt have the best experience, and these guys are one of the most expensive vets ive been to. They are open later hours so thats the only reason I went and why I referred a friend of mine. Only to hear that they also had a bad experience. I wont recommend this place again.

Absolutely the best! I have had two dogs put to sleep at Oxford. Every staff member was so kind and compassionate. I take my other animals there as well and always receive wonderful care. Dr Tamer and Dr Wesam along with all of their staff truly care about you and your pets.

We brought our pup in as an emergency. They helped us immediately and were super helpful in sending x-rays and information to the orthopedic surgeon. They splinted him well, so he was ok till he got into a surgeon.
