I had to euthanize my cat with IBD months before it would have been necessary because Mary the manager refused to sell me a certain food due to Rutherford vet not being my animals primary physicians. When I initially left a bad review Mary was able to look at my profile and found my place of work and harassed my manager to make me take down my review. Mary has no animal experience or customer service experience and only has her position because she is married to the vet. I would take all of these 5 star reviews with a grain of salt because if you have anything negative to say Mary will make it her personal mission to make sure it get's deleted or try to make your life difficult until it is deleted. One of the most uncaring, uncompassionate animal health care facilities I have ever come across. Would not trust them. EDIT IN RESPONSE: Mary - you can type whatever lies you would like to make yourself look better. At the end of the day you contacting my place of work WAS to get the review taken down and it was harassment, did you forget that you called my cell phone multiple times after I posted the review ? And that you resorted to making my boss talk to me because I didn’t answer your calls? I do have the responsibility to make sure my pet has food, you should also know that since it was such a specific diet and there was shortages that no one else had it in the city, that it was next to impossible to find. The only reason that I mentioned me working in the vet industry was try to illicit some sort of compassion that is clearly not present in your practice, not for you to run and tattle on me to my boss. You claim to be compassionate but aren’t willing to help a dying animal if you aren’t making any money from them. That being said everyone should be able to leave an accurate review based on their experience with a business. And since posting this review I have received messages from former clients as well as employees letting me know that you are a bully and I will not be the last person that you treat like this. And if that wasn’t true then the fact that this review got 11 likes in 2 DAYS should speak for itself. You can continue with your fake lawyer messaging me on social media. You can continue to harass my place of work, my friends and family members, and myself. I as well as others I have spoken to about your misconduct have filed an official complaint with the ABVMA over your disgusting behaviour. It wouldn’t have gone this far should you have chosen to react like a mature adult to a negative review and learn from it. But since you want to skew your reviews, and bully people to do so - then this is the way it is being handled. EDIT TO ADD: Mary got a “lawyer” to message me on instagram threatening legal action over an accurate review.

Cypress is a beautiful, gentle 8-year-old female long haired shepherd. She has had hip dysplasia that has continued to get worse over for the past 4 years. It has started to cause her considerable pain and discomfort over the last 1-2 years. We were trying to post-pone hip replacement as we thought it was the right thing to do. By delaying the repair of her hips this caused her to require increased pain and anti-inflammatory medications. Unfortunately, these have now negatively affected her kidneys. We didn’t really know what our options were, and Cypress was going downhill quickly. Dr. Naguib offered us an alternative to hip replacement. The procedure is called a Femoral Head Osteotomy (FHO). We were very cautiously optimistic about this option, and proceeded to further our research. Cypress has 2 bad hips, not just 1. We were concerned if this would be a positive solution for Cypress or were we being cruel. We did a lot of research about this procedure through different medical veterinarian web based clinical trials etc. Also, Dr. Naguib was incredible about answering our MANY questions and concerns. He spent many hours with us consoling us and ensuring us that this would be a very good option for Cypress. With a lot of mixed emotions, we booked the appointment and she had the procedure. We couldn’t be happier! Dr. Naguib and the staff were incredible throughout this entire process! They have continued to provide answers to our questions, loving phone calls, support and expertise for the speedy recovery for Cypress. Daily Cypress is regaining her youth and excitement to play! She acts like a puppy again, even with just having the one side repaired. We will definitely be proceeding with the other side once the required 3-4 month heeling for the first leg is complete. We would like to extend our gratitude for the loving care and support you and your entire team have provided us and our animal family. We really appreciate everyone at Rutherford Veterinary Clinic and would highly recommend this procedure and also any veterinary requirements you may have for your furry or 4 legged family. EDIT in response to Ms. Malak's response. I believe you have me confused with another client. I had never had any difficulties with any other staff member at the clinic either on the phone or in person. I will also note that I had not had very many appointments at the clinic - maybe 4? - so not sure about these multiple occasions you mention. It would be pretty simple to get my kitty's name from the file, but I don't think you are otherwise remembering the right client. Yes, I was referring to the telephone conversation I had with you specifically. I don't feel the phrase "If you want to save your cat's life you will bring her in" is very compassionate. Once I got to the clinic, the staff members I interacted with were very accommodating. No, I did not receive any sympathy card from Sundae's passing in December. If I had, I would not have mentioned the lack in the review written in March. Dr. Naguib is wonderful. He truly took great care of my kitty and I also felt he cared for me in the process. The techs were kind and compassionate. Unfortunately, the lady identified as the office manager was neither kind nor compassionate. Her comments to me are still eating at me three months later. I'm also a bit surprised at the lack of follow-up from the clinic. With previous clinics there was always an expression of condolences after a pet crossed the bridge. But, Dr. Naguib is kind and professional, so I would likely use the clinic again.

We moved to Edmonton a few months ago and have had a unfortunate string of bad luck with our 2 dogs. We went to a different vet originally that was recommended by friends. At the other vet, we had a very negative experience as they did not keep us updated with the progress of our dog being treated and the lack of communication caused us to worry unnecessarily. One evening about a week later, our older dog was screaming in pain and we didn't know what to do. Rutherford vet clinic was the first one I came across on Google that happened to still be open. They fit us in immediately and were so good with our dog even though she can be aggressive towards vets. They have very fair prices (as much as a vet can) and the vet has always given us the best care possible since then. We have had to bring our dogs (and a friend's dog) in with emergent situations and they have always squeezed us in ASAP. After our friend's dog went there, her parents decided that was their new vet as they were so thrilled with the care that was provided in their absence. We have seen both vets at this clinic and have been equally pleased with both. Both vets are honest and forthcoming but also show that they truly care about your pet and your wallet. I can't say enough good things about this vet and I highly recommend them to anyone!

I found Rutherford Veterinary Clinic after I moved from the States up to Edmonton for my little girl, Ember. In the four years I've been a patient, Dr. Naguib and his staff have gone above and beyond for her. They have accommodated last minute appointments, given excellent medical advice and helped us to keep her as healthy and happy as possible. We added a second cat as well in December and both cats were so loved and doted on at each appointment. This afternoon, (after she began to decline due to complications from her kidney disease over the past week), I phoned to make arrangements to put Ember to sleep. Dr. Naguib, despite having a packed schedule told his staff: "Anything for Ember" and got us in as soon as he had availability. Due to COVID-19, the staff could not allow us to be with her when they administered the euthanasia, however, wrapped her in one of her favourite blankets and allowed us all the time we needed to say our final goodbyes. They treated us and Ember with such kindness, dignity and compassion at one of the worst moments of our lives. Thank you so much to Dr. Naguib and his staff for providing such excellent compassionate and attentive care to our little Ember during the past few years. We plan to see him for all of our continued needs for our younger cat.

We just got a new 8 week old puppy and took him straight to this vet the next day to get checked out, chosen because of its good reviews. The receptionists were very friendly when we dropped the puppy off. After he was examined by the vet we talked to him on the phone and we had lots of questions which he didn’t seem to eager to answer, very monotone bored sounding and was overall not very helpful towards us. He told us the puppy was fine, heart was beating great and no lumps. The next day we were looking at the puppy’s fur and saw lice. We contacted the person we got the dog from and she checked the other puppy’s there and saw that one of them was also infected so we know the lice was from before. The vet had checked off that he checked for lice but did not seem to see any in the dogs fur (there was a lot on his back/back legs) we also noticed a dry patch on his back that the vet did not also say anything about. Overall our experience with this vet was not great and we will never be going back there. Update: We called back about the lice and they apologized and offered for us to see the main vet instead of the one we saw and he was much better, very friendly!!

My fur baby, Cocker Spaniel, tore his tendon and we were referred here for his surgery. I phoned several clinics to price compare and by far they were the best price out there with everything that was included. We were quoted a price and even though he ended up needing more done to his leg once they got in there (repair of his tendon, fixing his patella, and removing bone fragments - essentially 3 surgeries in 1) they kept true to their quote and didn't even add a single penny. Not only that, but the doctor/surgeon/and staff TRULY cared. They did several follow up calls to make sure our dog was doing well and made sure that we knew if we had any questions or concerns that they were available (and they were). He also helped us solve our dogs chronic ear infections, which he has had for 7 years, and his ears have never been better! The hours are also awesome and the facility itself bar none is the best I've seen. We have decided to continue our dogs regular care with Rutherford Vet Clinic because we feel that this is the best place to take our fur baby. Thank you for such a great experience throughout a time when it could have been much more stressful.

If you are in the market for a vet, I would highly recommend Dr. Naguib at Rutherford Vet Clinic. He is amazing with our German Shepherd, Fritz. Our dog has issues with his joints and allergies - it doesn't help that I'm a bit of a worrier when it comes to his health so the vet bills tend to add up as you can imagine. Luckily my parents recommended Rutherford Vet Clinic, Dr. Naguib specifically, because he takes the time to listen and explains everything thoroughly and thoughtfully. While he could easily be reactive when it comes to caring for his patients, he has always been proactive with us and that is one of the reasons we keep coming back to the clinic. As for the rest of the team, I have nothing but great things to say! Fritz gets excited when we pull up into the parking lot and can't wait to see the girls. Every time we walk in, the girls greet him with lots of love - and treats ;) They always remember the tricks he knows and interact with him as if he was their own. Whenever I need to book an appointment, the ladies are always very accommodating, friendly, and helpful. Thank you to the whole team for being amazing with our "little guy"!

It is very unfortunate that I am giving 1 star to this vet clinic especially that I had all my trust in the doctor. He did the mammary cyst removal which is a major surgery on my 15 year old cat who is diabetic and with kidney disease. After 5 weeks of the surgery, I took my cat to the follow up appointment and I was worried at the time as I noticed the area still feels lumpy! After Dr. Hany took a look at it he said we need to do another surgery right away!! I was in shock as we just did one 5 weeks ago and my cat hasn't fully recovered yet! Something went wrong for sure in the surgery as it was not successful . No way a lump will reoccur again in weeks as I checked with other vets about this. He was very rude with me when I started to question him about the surgery and he abruptly told me that he doesn't want to deal with my cat again and not to perform any surgeries on her! How unprofessional is that. Also the manager ( his wife) is double faced as she only acts nice prior to any services...all they care about is how to get money out of you. They don't care about your pet. Do yourself a favor and don't bring your fur baby here!

I recently took my cat to Rutherford vet clinic and I couldn't be happier with the level of care he received. From start to finish, the experience was top-notch. Upon entering the clinic, I was greeted by a friendly and welcoming staff member who made me feel at ease right away. The clinic itself was clean, modern, and well-equipped, which gave me confidence that my cat would receive the best possible care. During the examination, Dr. Naguib took the time to thoroughly examine my cat and answered all of my questions in a clear and concise manner. He was very knowledgeable and clearly cared about my cat's well-being. He even went above and beyond by providing me with some helpful tips on how to better care for my cat at home. The staff were also very accommodating when it came to scheduling follow-up appointments and working around my busy schedule. They clearly value their clients and are dedicated to providing the best possible care for their furry patients. Overall, I highly recommend Rutherford Vet to anyone in need of veterinary care for their pets. I left the clinic feeling confident that he was in good hands. Thank you!

I have had the best experience at Rutherford Vet Clinic. My dog was previously a patient of another clinic in the Ellerslie area and after a horrific experience at the other clinic, I was searching for a new vet. Dr. Hany was recommended to me by a friend who takes her dog to him (same breed as mine). When I called them (admittedly in tears from my experience with the other vet) they were understanding and compassionate and got me in as soon as possible for a complimentary consultation. At the consultation, Dr. Hany was fantastic. He was gentle and kind with my dog, he answered all of my questions, and gave me the best advice he could give. He explained he gave his recommendation based on what he would want for his own pet. In the end, my dog needed dental surgery which is quite common for his breed. They provided an estimate which was comparable to estimates from other vets I had received. Dental surgery is expensive anywhere. They booked him in within a couple weeks. Surgery went great and my dog is on the road to recovery. I would like to thank the staff at Rutherford vet clinic

Dr. Naguib is the most amazing veterinarian I have ever met! Our pup Camper was semi-feral when we adopted him and we were so nervous choosing a vet for him. He was so terrified of people, especially men but somehow he is totally fine with Dr. Naguib. He is very calming when handling our pup and the staff does a great job with him as well! Camper can be very difficult but the staff members are very experienced it seems. Camper just went in for a surgery we were very nervous to have done. It’s expensive and the recovery is a bit messy but the fees at Rutherford vet are very reasonable and they are so easy to work with, even with the restrictions put in place during covid. The aftercare instructions we received were very thorough and didn’t leave us having questions. Camper’s meds were all nicely prepared for us with very clear instructions too. We’re happy to have such an amazing vet and recommend Dr. Naguib and his staff to anyone, but especially to people with nervous or fearful animals. Thank you so much Rutherford Vet!!

I have been taking my pets (3 dogs & 5 cats, I live on the outskirts of the city) to Rutherford Vet Clinic for approximately 2 years. Dr. Naguib is an incredible vet who takes the time to listen to you and your concerns. He and his staff strive to make you and your pets comfortable and at ease with every visit. He is straight forward and offers clear explanations for all procedures, and he is incredibly caring. He makes sure that you are completely aware of all the potential options that you face, as well as what to expect in terms of cost (extremely reasonably-priced). Furthermore, he makes sure that you feel completely involved with the decision making process and doesn't pressure you into any unnecessary treatments, and strive to make you feel confident in your choice. I’ve been taking my little guy here for a year now and I have nothing but fantastic things to say. (I’m a bit high strung and have a breed prone to genetic issues) Any time I ever phone panicking they get me in immediately, even if it’s between appointments or after hours. The vet is so gentle and friendly with my baby and explains things in detail if I don’t seem to understand. They don’t price gouge you either, everything is laid out in detail on your receipts and if you’ve been in and feel you need to come back they’ll happily check your pet again at no additional charge. I always get a next day phone call to see if everything is alright or how I feel my puppy is doing too. They’re always happy to see you and your pet even if it’s just to stop in to play with the doctor’s own puppy. Recently we moved to the other side of the city and I still drive to this clinic, wouldn’t trust anyone else. Thank you Dr. Naguib and staff! 10/10

PLEASE READ THE END OF THIS REVIEW!! If there was a 0 star rating, I would give them that. This clinic treats their staff like garbage. They have broken MULTIPLE provincial regulations when it comes to their staff, especially their vet techs. If you go to this clinic, there is a VERY high chance that when the tech comes to grab your pet to perform treatments or bring back for surgery or even perform anesthesia for your pet hasn’t even gone to school to become a tech! They recently had a mass off of their staff due to management. I strongly discourage anyone who is wanting to have a career in vet med to work at this clinic. ***Also, have you noticed this clinic doesn’t have any bad reviews. Every clinic has at least a few. It’s because Mary, the manager which is also the Vet’s wife. Hires a “lawyer” or “private investigator” to stalk you and threaten you to remove the post over legal action.

When at the Rutherford Veterinary clinic, Dr. Nagiub treated my dog with caring respect and really wonderful quality medical care. During what was stressful and scary time for my dog, Dr. Nagiub and the staff at Rutherford veterinary clinic made sure I understood the current state of health of my dog, and changes that needed to be made to her lifestyle doing everything that would be in her best interest. Everyone had been hands-on and compassionate from the moment we arrived, welcoming my Goldie with treats, as well as showing my dog the utmost kindness and praise. They even contacted me after she was sent home to check in and to see if I had any questions. I’ve taken pets to other Vet Clinics in the past, but this is the first time I really felt like the staff actually cared and kept me, and my dog at ease and and feeling comfortable!

Everyone here is amazing. They go above and behind for my two dogs and know them by name and who they are. My one dog is scared to go through the front door so Elizabeth will take him through the back door so he doesn’t get scared. My dogs trust everyone here and they are always kind and loving and treat my dogs like their own. And they were all amazing when I had to put my cat down. I would highly recommend them to anyone I know with pets. You won’t find a better place to love and take care of your pets the way they do here. My dogs rarely trust men and they love the vet here and going to him and they trust him. That goes along way for me ! Thank you for all your hard work everyone who works here and thank you for always looking out and loving my dogs and making them feel safe.

We love Dr. Naguib and his kind and caring staff. Our dog Luna seems to give us a small scare every few months and each time they have been able to get us in within the hour. The few times that Luna has been required to stay with them a few hours they ALWAYS call and update us on her condition an hour or two later. Dr.Naguib and his staff always go the extra mile to ensure that our minds are put at ease when Luna is In their care. If you are looking for a new vet for your furry friend I cannot reccomend Dr.Naguib and his staff enough. They truly go out of their way and provide the best customer service for an outstanding price every time. We are very thankful to have found him, and his lovely staff. I will forever recommend anyone with a pet to go see Dr. Nagiub. I’ve taken all of my animals to him, the way he interacts with them, it’s noticeable he truly cares for them. My French bulldog had to have dental surgery and a procedure on her knee, the staff knew I was concerned and anxious, they called to update me on how it was going throughout the surgery and were so kind. When I arrived to pick her up the one staff member told me she had been sitting with my Frenchie while she was waking up because she was a little out of it, it was just another level of showing how much they all care. I am so grateful I was recommended to go to Rutherford and I strongly urge anyone looking for a vet to check them out!

This is the best vet clinic in town!!! I had to take my little dog in for an emergency visit, which they were very accommodating about! Dr. Naguib knew right away what was wrong and gave me a estimate for surgery, which I found to be very fair and reasonable. The surgery went really well and they ended up doing more work then they intended. They ended up honouring the estimate originally given even though I know extra work went into this surgery. I am forever grateful to these guys and have already been referring them to everyone I know. Not only do they care a lot about the pets that come in, they also really care about the owners. Thank you for everything guys!

I don’t know where to begin. I was sent here by referral from Terra Losa animal clinic. Unfortunately my dog needed extensive knee surgery, and they were able to get us in right away. They treated us like family. Dr Naguib is a wonderful vet, it’s never fun when these situations arise. However in the future, we will be visiting Rutherford. You can tell he his passionate about animal care. First and foremost. He put my dogs health first, which I thank him for. Otherwise he wouldn’t be here today. The staff truly goes above and beyond, and I can’t thank them enough for everything they have done for our family. I will recommend them to anyone with pets.

My dog had a surgery here back in July for a large lump on his chest and a tiny one near his eye. It was my first time coming to this vet and they were absolutely wonderful. They were extremely professional, helpful and patient. It was a big decision for us to get the surgery done for him and I am so happy we went here to do it. Dr. Naguib was extremely kind and did an amazing job. My dog was healed within 2 weeks and is back to his normal self. I probably called the vet everyday asking the same questions and the lovely ladies who worked there were so knowledgeable and helpful with any inquiries i had! i am so appreciative to have found them.

this is the only vet i will come to, referred to me by a coworker after 3 different vets were unable to diagnose my boy millie when he was having urine issues (which is serious because male cats can die from urine problems). i was desperate and decided to come here. i live 40 minutes away. he was the only vet that was able to help my boy, i cried from joy. i take my sphynx cat and my blue tabby here. he is honest and one of the only vets that don't care about money and really cares about animals. i trust him so much with my babies. no other vets compare to Dr. N. i can't thank this vet clinic enough for always taking care of my fur babies.

This vet is amazing. I have been struggling to help my puppy with his constant ear infections which meant arual hematomas and the other vets kept beating around the bush but this vet I took him to on a whim cause he needed surgery to fix his ear and they told me that they have a medication that would reduce the occurrence of these , I've been dragged around by so many vets and this vet actually wants to help my dog and see him happy and healthy, I have never been so pleased with a vet, great prices and amazing service and amazing staff. I urge you if you want quality care and great prices for your furbabys . come here.

My husband and I bring our puppy to Rutherford vet. The admin, vet techs and Dr. Naguib are all AMAZING. they recognize us whenever we come in and always check in with us a few days after any appointments to make sure our pup is doing okay. They respond quickly and any questions we have, for the techs or the doctor are answered amazingly. Our pup loves going to the vet! Nina, Elizabeth, Patricia, and I know I’m missing a few names are all so friendly and compassionate. They are also very transparent about pricing and always give us specific options related to price. This is so helpful. We love it here!

So impressed by the professionalism and compassion displayed by the doctor and staff at the clinic. They accommodated me by getting my little fur baby in on short notice with a stomach issue. An examination was done and options were provided with costs prior to treatment. A follow up visit(free of charge) determined that further bloodwork was not needed and the cost was unnecessary. The clinic also made a phone call to check in and see if my cat was doing alright- something I didn’t expect. Super refreshing to have this level of service and care! I’ll be transferring over to the clinic permanently.

I cannot even put into words how kind and helpful and amazing and above and beyond all of the staff (especially Dr. Naguib) have been with my two cats. They have exceeded every expectation and treated my girls like family. Dr. Naguib is always honest and forthright and conscious of my financial constraints and has done so much to help me. I will never stop taking my pets here and would recommend them to absolutely anyone. And the rest of the staff are so sweet and thoughtful. I've had many a hug while falling apart in their clinic. Thank you guys so much. I don't feel like I can ever repay you.

If I could give this clinic 100 stars I would. I brought in my 110 pound Cane Corso mastiff pup and this vet was AMAZING! He knew exactly how to approach my dog and didn’t blink an eye when she barked at him. He took every warning she gave him with grace and gave her space when she needed it. He did not muzzle her or even bring it up. He did everything possible to keep everyone in the room safe and my dog low stress. He KNOWS large breed dogs. It also fed my soul to hear him say that her behaviour is her breed and what she was born to do and not a worry at all. 10/10 would recommend to anyone!

Absolutely incredible vet clinic! I booked my rabbit in for a spay here and was blown away by the compassionate and intelligent staff! They were so wonderful to me and my bunny, and helped me every step of the way to provide the best care for her. They even showed me her incision and explained, in detail, everything that is normal along the healing process and what may represent a cause for concern. There are no hidden costs at this clinic; the total was actually a bit less than the estimate they provided on the phone! I will be taking my fur family here from now on. Thanks Rutherford!

I came to this clinic a few weeks ago as an emergency visit. I was so grateful they were able to squeeze me in. The staff here are amazingly helpful and the clinic very clean. The vet Hany who saw my dog is spectacular. He is very knowledgeable and was so good with my little guy. You can tell the staff here truly care about the well being of the animals in their care and allowed me and my dog to leave feeling much happier and at ease. Not to mention the prices being very affordable. I will definitely be returning here and would recommend it to anyone looking for a vet in the area.

Dr. Naguib and staff are so friendly and accommodating. They have the best staff for super anxious pets and they have great affordable rates for exams and surgery and really care about the animals first and will work with you if you are on a budget. Scaredy Cat is my cat and they have always treated her the best even when she unfortunately urinated when super scared of the unknown. Thankfully it was mostly on me and her carrier. So embarrassing but they were so nice!! She had surgery there about a year ago and I am just so happy! Taking her in again soon for her yearly checkup!

I have been to many vets around the city for over a decade. This doctor is 100% the best, friendliest and most reasonably priced one around. Everywhere else tries to nickel and dime but he legitimately goes out of his way to recommend the cheapest options for what is necessary and his genuine love for animals is SO evident. He was extremely kind, gave me great advice and is correcting something my last clinic did for way cheaper than I thought. Go here. For real. I'm ditching my regular vet to make this my new one. Fantastic job!! Thanks for making my baby better.

A VERY proactive approach to your pets needs with friendly attentive staff. I was referred to this clinic five years ago where my senior dog was diagnosed with a pretty common heart problem for their breed. After careful care and genuine recommendations by Dr. Hany Naguib, he has well surpassed the life expectancy with this condition. As dogs age they obviously need more special attention and this office will give you JUST that. We now have another healthy puppy who receives the same royal treatment and we will continue to refer our friends to this AMAING office.

I have a bulldog with a list of Health problems that couldn't fit onto this review page. I take him to see Doctor Naguib and his staff. They are all so careful and respectful. I am confident in the way they handle my dog and I believe the price is fair. I have trusted them with larger operations and they have guided us through the rehab process and been there every step of the way. They go out of their way to go the extra mile, the vet techs all get back to me whenever I have questions and no problem is to small. I would highly recommend this clinic to anyone

I’ve been bringing my cat Emilie to Dr. Naguib for annual check ups and that one time she got stung by a bee. Basically ever since I adopted her, I have trusted Dr. Naguib about her overall health. I always get great service from all the staff especially Elizabeth, she’s always so cheerful and ready to help. Such an amazing person. Dr. Naguib is a very caring doctor and you can really tell that he loves what he does, very knowledgeable about veterinary medicine and he always have a warm smile on his face. Our 10 year old Cock-a-poo, Dixie, needed some quick (not emergency) dental work done just before Christmas while everybody is busy and short of funds. Dr. Hany Naguib not only accommodated us, but Dixie needed extra dental work during surgery, he gave her a micro-chip, and she got spayed! Then he took extra time to explain her recovery plan, diet plan and dental hygiene plan. All of this for way less than we expected the dental to be!! Staff were knowledgeable, courteous, and compassionate. Dixie loved everyone! An excellent pet care experience!!

Dr. Naguib and his staff are the most caring veterinary team I’ve ever known. Their greatest strength is their compassion and understanding that animals are family. From lovingly caring for my previous geriatric dog, Jett for all of his medical needs, to now looking after my tripawd Gus, I trust this clinic to care for my animals’ needs. This caring team needs to be recognized and praised for the wonderful work they do; they truly love animals here. If you’re looking for an honestly priced, empathetic vet clinic, look no further! I do not know from where to start, this clinic does not only give the best service and care, but it's way beyond so. Very knowledgeable staff and techs. They are doing an exceptional job. Dr. Hany Naguib is a superb Vet, he treats the pets and their families as if they are his own. Gives you the best solution for your pet's treatment, reasonable cost. never felt that there was any push for any unnecessary treatments. We have been taking our dogs here for the last 6 years or so. Dr N is fantastic with our pups. Very patient and we know he truly cares. My only complaint is suddenly we had to pay money just to get our dogs prescription for his monthly flea and tick med… which previously we never had to do. (We fill it at a pharmacy as we buy it in bulk and save like 10$ a dose) So that was really frustrating and disappointing considering we always get the prescription at our yearly check ups…where we are already paying to see the vet.

Absolutely wonderful clinic with friendly staff! I am sad I had to move away, because the doctor here is one of the best I've met! He loves all animals and is especially great with cats! I brought my male cat to him and he was treated gently with minimal stress. The doctor also took the time to explain everything throughly. My cat showed improvement the very next day. I start veterinary school this month which is why I had to move, and I can say with certainty that the doctor here is an excellent role model.

Just moved to the area and needed to switch my pup to a new vet, and I am so glad I chose Rutherford Vet Clinic! They were so kind and loving to my anxious girl. She has never had such a great experience at the vet and as long as I go here, I know she will always leave happy and full of liver treats. The Veterinarian was awesome, front desk staff friendly and welcoming and the vet techs were fantastic! One even drew a pic of her on my bag, which was adorable! Take your pet here, you won't regret it!

Absolutely loved this vet! Never been before this time, but my dog was attacked and needed emergency surgery, after my local vet turned me away (Currents “Vet”). I called Rutherford and dispite being fully booked they understood that my dog was suffering and got her in and fixed in a very timely and professional manner. Nice to see a vet that practices that careing for our beloved pets is not just between the hours of 9-4. And the staff was super fun and friendly Thanks guys! Don’t go to Currents

Excellent job done today for my Tiffany spay. We have tried twice at the other clinic and couldn’t get it done because she had an adverse reaction (abnormal/irregular arrhythmia with dropped beats) to isoflurane inhalant anesthetic. We called and emailed around. The Vet here provided promptly an affordable option for me. So happy we made right decision and today Tiffany got her spay done safely. If you are looking for Vet, I recommend here. The staff offered supreme customized service for me.

So happy I found this place, couldn't be more pleased with their service and the results! The vet knows what he's doing and the staff and really kind and caring! :) Loved how much info the vet gave me, and Charley( our cat) seemed happy to be there! 0 stars. They ask for all the pets information and then ask if you wanna book an appointment with out giving you a price quote for a neuter. Told me on the phone that they can’t do an estimate over the phone because a technician needs the weight, which I have, and I said so I have to bring my pet in to get a weight and the lady said no they guess and send you an email with an estimate. So you can’t give me a price over the phone so I know if I’m interested or not in booking? Waste of time.

I sent my dog here to have some of her teeth removed. The vet ended up removing 17 teeth because of how bad it was. I have to say that my dog has never been happier. She's so energetic and always wants to play with us. She runs around the house and just fills the house with a positive vibe. She still has her big teeth so she is able to bite and chew. This place is great to bring your pet. Staff is kind and polite. They will take wonderful care of them. Your pet will definitely thank you.

I brought my cat Houdini here a few years ago now to diagnose what I thought was very dry skin, but turned out to be chicken & environmental allergies. Dr. Naguib and his staff have been nothing short of amazing with helping me find ways to manage my baby’s allergies. The front staff, back staff & the Dr are always so kind and welcoming when we walk in, and are so quick to help Houdini and I when things flare up. Could not say enough about how thankful I am! Thank you guys so much!

Great place to bring your pets. I have heard some people say the prices are higher than other vets, that may be true in some regards but hardly. With that being said when it comes to your pet it is absolutely worth spending a few extra bucks for the service and care you get from here. My usual vet remembers my dog and cat everytime and has gone out of his way to help out. I've even heard they can set up payment plans if money is a concern. Awesome front desk people too.

Dr. Hany Naguib Is the best veterinarian I have ever met. He has helped all my pets so many times and they all have disabilities. He truly cares about the animals. His prices are so much cheaper than other vets. Our family loves staff in the front office and the staff in the back of the house helping all those animals. I can't say enough great things about Dr. Naguib and the staff at Rutherford Veterinary Clinic! We've taken all our furry family members here for years and there is a real sense of community and caring here. It can be very scary for our pets at the vet, but they always make them feel comfortable and calm. Whether it's just a routine check up or helping them to cross the rainbow bridge, they take the extra effort and time to make every visit a comfortable experience.

Everything here was perfect from the moment I walked through the door! The receptionist was so nice and friendly, you could tell she really cared about the animals. The doctor was fantastic he answered all my questions and concerns I had. It is hard to find a good vet especially a vet who deals with exotic animals but you will not be disappointed by going to Rutherford Vet! They are my new and favorite vet I will always travel the distance to go and see them.

I rarely write reviews, but I can't say enough good things about this vet clinic. Dr. Naguib and his staff are all fantastic. I was referred to another clinic for an ACL repair, but I wasn't comfortable moving forward with that clinic, so began researching and found Dr. Naguib. I can honestly say that in nearly 40 years of owning pets, this was the best clinic and best doctor I've had. Genuine compassion, and very knowledgeable, I'd give 10 stars if I could!

Called this clinic for my dog last Friday as my dog was in need of attention and our main vet wasn’t available till later in the day. The lady on the phone took all of our information and said she would talk to a manger and call us back to let us know if we would be able to get in and we never ever received a call back… very unprofessional and unimpressed especially since most speak highly of this location. Wouldn’t recommend to anyone unfortunately.

Dr. Naguib and all his staffs have genuine concern for your pets, especially dogs. They may be charging above average amount but the service they provide is worth it. It’s not just about your pocket, but your dogs health. He is like the Cesar Milan on vets territory. Good job doc! I may not want to see you all the time but that is just because you’re good at fixing pets health issues. No need to keep coming back! Thanks again for your great service.

Rutherford Vet Clinic in my opinion is the best clinic I have visited for our 4 legged family members in 30 years. Dr. Hany Naguib is extremely competent and has the gift of explaining things at my level of knowledge. Dr. Hany Naguib is compassionate, gentle and provides genuine care for each of my pets. The clinic staff members are all very helpful and consistently go above & beyond. I love this clinic & would recommend to any pet owner!

We’ve had nothing but a great experience at Rutherford. Dr Naguib is so awesome with Jasper and he’s so kind and caring. He explains all the options well and you can tell he’s passionate about what he does. I have had many vets over the years and Dr. Naguib is by far the best veterinarian I have ever met. He is great with both my dogs even the one who is very intolerant of restraint. He genuinely cares about his clients and their pets, he has even seen me outside of regular hours when we had urgent care needs. I recommend him to any one and everyone. If you are not 110% satisfied by your current vet I would recommend going to his clinic.

The staff at Rutherford Veterinary Clinic is hands down the best veterinary clinic ever! Dr. Naguib is absolutely superb! Animal wellbeing is truly his passion, and it shows! In addition, all of his staff are fantastic. I couldn't imagine ever going to another vet. Even while on holidays in the US, he made himself available over the phone to discuss a pet health concern. The best vet ever! Our 6 cats and an old dog were always treated perfectly by Dr.Hany and the staff. My cats and dog had soft tissue surgery and dental extract. After surgeries, our pets were really in great condition and costs were reasonable. Unfortunately, we had to move to the U.S and Rutherford Veterinary Clinic is the most place we really miss. Thank you so much for all of the care and treatment while we were in Edmonton! ❤️

Best vet ever, everyone cares so much and are so nice and my pets are always excited to go. Would highly recommend switching and coming here, it is definitely worth the effort. All of our pets health needs have been met and they have never been healthier. Staff always take into account our concerns and are very thorough. Even during emergencies, my pets well being is always prioritized and solved with a lot of care and competence.

So far I am very pleased with this clinic, they clearly love animals, every person always gets excited to see your pet come in and they are all friendly. The vets are also great to your pet and with communication. Receptionists are very friendly over the phone. And multiple times my animals have had an injury (both a cat and a dog) they have been able to squeeze me in the day of. Very grateful for this office! Highly recommend.

I have been fortunate enough to only need to see the vet for shots for my bulldogs. That being said I was quite impressed with the level of professionalism demonstrated by the staff. When I met the vet I was quickly put at ease by his demeanor, as were my dogs. He gave a thorough check up and shots all while keeping my one dog calm, even with his 'sister' trying to play. Will be back again and again. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

Visited this clinic with my maltese girl Gabia. I was very happy about attitude and professionalism that we received. During or check up we were introduced with full quote and they explained what is what, so we could decide what to get and not be surprised about any costs. Doctor treated or dog so friendly and he managed to calm her down a little because she's always so scared of clinics. Recommended!

We were so worried about our dog when we found out he needed immediate emergency surgery, but Rutherford Vet Clinic calmed our nerves with their kind, professional and quick service. The best clinic in Edmonton. After much research and reading the reviews I am glad I made the right choice. My ~1 year old aussiedoodle was in for a double luxating pattella surgery today. Absolutely blown away with the treatment my little puppy Millie received. All the staff that I met were all very kind and attentive to my concerns and questions. This was the very first time I ever had to bring a pet to a veterinary clinic (Millie is my very first furbaby) and I'm so happy with the treatment both Millie and I received. I will 100% recommend this place to anyone I know with a pet!

Will 110% be loyal to this place! The vet was so incredible with my dog who I brought in with allergies! She was gentle, and actually got my pup to like her before doing anything! I called 5 other vets to get my 12 yr old dog in (same day) I was really worried about her health and needed her to be seen asap. They were able to get us in between appointments. All the staff were genuinely concerned for her. The Veterinarian was kind and caring. Prices for x-rays were hard to take but comparable to other Veterinarians. Thank you for taking such good care of my girl!!

We've been taking both of our dogs here for the past 5 years and love how wonderful the staff is. We recently made the difficult decision to put our 11 year old boxer down and everyone in the clinic was extremely helpful and offered their genuine and heartfelt support. An amazing team that honestly care about the animals in their care. They won't play you for money, they couldn't care less about the money. They have consistently been upfront and honest to us. I've never met a more dedicated, eithical, caring team. I wouldn't trust my pets with anyone else. As a side, they are absolutely fantastic with orthopedic cases. Highly recommend.

I found this Vet through my friend and I am very pleased with the service. The staff is so kind and friendly. My border collie as some anxiety and the doctor sat on the floor to examine him, instead of putting him up on the table!! I am so encouraged by the love at Rutherford. My dog hazel just had leg surgery, this vet clinic is amazing. I have been phoning a lot asking questions first time for this so its kinda scary. I’d said this is the best vet in SW, we are with this vet for probably 4 years , and they are not just love dogs , they also LOVE cats, My poor kitty had surgery just the other day , they make sure had extra time to explained everything to me, also labels all the medications nicely , the doctor is nice and friendly as always , also the staffs of course !

The only Veterinary clinic our 14 week old french bull dog has seen and we're very happy about the service so far. Due to the current Covid restrictions, they have to pick him up from the car, but our puppy always comes back to us happy. Even after vaccinations! The doctor calls after seeing him and always has great advice and is very friendly.

The staff has always been friendly and competent. Dr. Naguib cares about about your animal takes the time to listen to your concerns and answer any question you have. It also never feels like he's over-treating your animal to get more money out of you. He always recommends lower cost options to see if they work. I'm glad I found this clinic.

My kitten Lucifer was diagnosed with FIP a truly horrible disease. The staff here excellently cared for and made him feel comfortable. Not to mention they supported us during this hard time. They always handled him with care and you can tell they really have a love for animals. An honourable mention is also the affordability of this clinic.

The amount of love and care I saw the staff provide to pets in this clinic was just heartwarming. Dr. Naguib is such a passionate doctor and he doesn’t leave a pet unless he makes sure they’re treated and feel better 100%. I highly recommend Dr. Naguib and his clinic. The staff are so friendly and they really care about our aging dogs as much as we do. They do not suggest tests that are not needed. We come from St Albert because they are so caring and good. Update they have been so supportive of us as we have had to let go of 2 of our 3 dogs. Compassion and care is what they are about.

Best vet ever 10/10, there is seriously probably no better. He is so kind and caring, a genuinely nice person. We’ve been seeing Dr. Naguib for our dog Hugo’s needs for 7 years now. My older cat had an issue this afternoon and ended up passing away but the responsiveness and urgent care we received was exceptional. They were very compassionate for my wife and son who were devastated and one of the techs even calmed down my son and talked to him for a bit. All around great people at this clinic.

Doctor Naguib is an amazing Vet. Our dog is extremely fearful, and he's gone out of his way to make him comfortable going to the Vet. He's been available to answer any questions we have, and has always looked out for the health of all of our animals. We wouldn't go to another vet outside of an emergency situation.

Unbelievable customer service and compassion from each and everyone of the staff. Between two illness prone dogs, we have had many visits and they always make it so easy and affordable. It's nice going to a vet that actually cares about the animals, rather than making a profit. Always able to help out and is reasonably priced and will offer alternatives if it is too expensive. Our dog loves seeing Dr Naguib and the vet techs here. They make her very comfortable and take exceptional care.

Dr. Hany is incredible and the staff are all so amazing too. They take care of my doggo pack and actually remember me and my dogs. The level of compassion and care at this vet clinic is paralleled to none. In addition the fees are reasonable and they don't try to upcharge you or upsell you. 10/10.

The team here are fantastic! From my pups first visit to her spay surgery follow-up it’s been top service. The Dr and team answered all my questions and always give good instructions for home care. My Tilly had her spay surgery a little over two weeks ago, and you can’t even see the incision.

Our appointment was cancelled due to the front head team mixing us up with another client. The ride there was already stressful enough for my pets. They then tried to guilt trip us for an appointment we cancelled two years ago. Dr.N is great but the front team has issues. Won’t be back.

The best vet I've been to. Doctors are fantastic, they always take great care of my cats. I also brought my dog for the emergency and they did everything very quickly and called me for every update. Staff if very caring, you can see that they genuinely love and care for all the animals.

Rutherford Veterinary Clinic was referred to me by a friend a few years ago. I now take my second dog there. Dr. Naguib is great with my reactive GSD. He always answers any questions I have and has very useful suggestions. All staff have been a pleasure. Highly recommend to everyone.
