First off, few are good enough to get 5*. Most great places get 4*. Average places 3*. I came here because it's out of the city, and they claim WiFi. Opted for a room for 100k. Gave me a garbage room next to the road. No view, no balcony. RIGHT NEXT TO THE ROAD. And its the only room next to the road. The thing that really gets me, is there is NO WIFI. My data is throttled to 2g speeds for 3 days, and i have trip planning and booking I need to do. I can barely load a facebook menu with my mobile network right now. After trying for 10 minutes to find wifi, I go to the office, where i apparently inconvenienced the woman off the phone.. God forbid you do your job. I proceed to tell her that MY ROOM does not have Wi-Fi. Obviously, there is Wi-Fi at the office. She gets an attitude, and tells me there is. Shows me there is, so i leave. I walk towards my room, and what do you know, the wifi drops out. I go back, show her, she gets an even more annoyed attitude, then sends someone to help. She peoceeds to show me that there is indeed Wi-Fi. She obviously doesn't know what the Wi-Fi symbol with an exclamation point means. I admitted defeat, closed the door, and am writing this scathing review. Then, In the middle of the night, some idiot employee came through and banged loudly on my bathroom louvers as some sort of childish retaliation. Too bad it didn't work. Also, there was no hot water. They wrote me a private message telling me I'm a bad customer because they're offended i wrote this review. I assume they'll refuse to give me my money back for the day I won't be here, since I'm leaving and not staying. What kind of professional operates this way? I'll do my due diligence once i leave. I came here for the wifi, a hot shower, and a comfortable bed. And they did not deliver. Along with the attitudes, there's no fu*cking way I'd come back. Also, the noise is so, completely unacceptable. I don't know how anyone can possibly sleep in this room wothout earplugs. The room itself is nice enough. The bed comfortable. Everything else, is not good. You guys suck. Edited to remove a single sentence.

Nice rooms, with TV, fan, hot water, comfortable and clean bed. The gardens are a nice place to chill, has bar, food, parking, double bed room at 70k from 1st of April breakfast included. They have a lot of rooms. The breakfast was slow and nobody took my order until I asked again what's happening with the breakfast. Food service needs better attention at night I ordered chicken and chips, the guy delivering it to the room accidentally dropped it outside the room breaking the plates etc it's an accident these things happen, but what was bad was I waited and after 40 mins still no food, so I went back down to be told they had delivered the food, it was then realized that the guy had delivered to another room. So I had to wait another 20 mins, so a bit of a mess. Food service staff need better training it seems a bit of a shambles. It was the only thing I saw letting the place down. The breakfast was nice u choose of a menu, omelette with bread and coffee was nice. It's best not to order from online websites as rooms on website maybe not be available upon arrival as it doesn't get updated. Also WiFi didn't work.

Worst experience in 10 days in Uganda. - We paid for a double room that only includes 1 breakfast. We asked for it to be removed but they forced us to pay for an extra breakfast of 10.000 ugx which it was just to check on the menu and redeem that exact amount. We could only choose an african tea (5000 ugx) and one toasted bread (5000 ugx), huge scam!!!!! - There was no Hot water, we were told to leave it running. We left it for literally 20 minutes, we ended up having a cold shower at midnight. There was just one towel, we asked for another but finally had to go ourselves to reception to pick it since no one was coming. - There were cocroaches in the room. - Staff was banging doors and shouting til 1am, also from 4am - they are noisy and careless - There is a Mosque nearby, so extra noise at 6am -Mosquito net of one of the beds was small and not covering, therefore useless Would NOT recommend at all!!

Its a nice quiet cozy place away from crowd and traffic. They hv a bar and spa which is very moderately priced. The staff is very friendly and helpful, serve with a smile. Rooms hv a mosquito net but apparently no mosquitoes at present. Ample free parking available, the balcony rooms are best with beautiful view. Lots of convenience stores just outside the hotel and its a safe neighborhood. Only thing that sucks is the wifi. In restaurant area its perfect but in rooms its not accessible at all. They also dont hv any kettle for tea or coffee.

I'm my room the "hot" water was pretty much just not cold. It was explained to me that its because my room is solar powered so sometimes it doesn't get hot. I chose not to change rooms because the other room was dark with only 1 light and the toilet was under the shower so it would be wet. The wifi signal all around is very weak, even in the restaurant. Even if you have signal, sometimes you still cannot connect. I could not rely on the Wi-Fi for work and had to tether my cell phone. But the people working here are very nice and try to be as helpful as they can. Very friendly and know you personally. The restaurant is ok but the menu is small. This place was chosen for our group so i didn't have a choice. If you just need a place to stay, this is ok.

Palm Gardens is really the best home of accommodation. I like the service here, I like the rooms, my room in particular, and I really like the receptions as well, they're hardworking and always there for the guests. Palm Gardens is just so amazing so I gave it a 5 rating. Even if I leave, the next time I make another long trip to Kampala, I'll definitely get hosted here again. Thanks To The Management. Above all, I appreciate the breakfast that was given to me, it's a real home away from home. I also appreciate the indoor service,,, this dinner was great.

A lovely location with lovely gardens. I had the opportunity to sample their delectable native cuisine, and their accommodation is 5 stars. But I didn't enjoy the fact that I had to hunt for something to drink because they didn't have most of the wines, which disappointed me because such a good location should have a selection so that we get the finest services.
