Had the worst experience at Panarottis Gateway today. We came in and asked for a table of 3. We were told that there are no tables anywhere and that we would have to be put on a waiting list. After waiting 10-15 mins we decided to purchase a takeaway as we had still not been seated even though there were multiple tables in the outdoor seating area that were empty. We thought perhaps these were not in use. After another 15-20min wait we received our takeaway and saw that the outdoor tables now had customers seated. When I asked the waitress why she had told us there were no tables available she said it is because people don't like to sit outside. We told her that we didn't ask to be seated inside, we simply asked for a table for 3. She did not even give us the option of sitting outside. She told us there were no tables. She never mentioned the outdoor seating. This is pathetic. We were tired, hungry and had to stand for ages when they could have easily accommodated us. It seems like they have an intention to drive customers away. For who knows how many other customers they did the same thing to. I think the staff at this branch are in dire need of training. You don't decide for someone that they can't sit outside. You don't neglect to tell them that you have have 5 tables available and instead make them stand for 1/2 an hour waiting. Where is the common sense here? I will never visit this branch again after this poor service.

There were strands of hair that was baked over the mushrooms on the pizza. The manager was called and had taken the hair as samples. There was a floor manager who had come back and told us what she thought and insisted that they were mushroom fibres. We were appalled at what she was implying as my entire family could see it was hair. Either the mushrooms were not checked and washed or somebody prepping the meals was not wearing her hair net. She made us eat the pizza but came to us 10 mins later to say that the manager said that the pizza was on the house. That was not the point! They did not follow proper protocol. They were racist attitudes towards us. We are Indian and the manager and workers are all black. We had a good black waitress. We paid for the pizza and drinks, tipped the waitress and left Would We return??? A big NO!! NEVER!!!

Went to panaroti with my kids for lunch today. After tapping my card for payment no receipt printed on their machine but the charge went off my account. The Manager insisted that I needed to pay again because the amount would be reversed on my end, usually if a payment doesn't go through no notification or charges go through my account. The manager refused to let me leave without paying again not taking to consideration if I had that money to pay again. Told me that he would only know the next day if they charged me double and then I can claim my money back. I find this to be disgusting service even after showing you that it was paid on my bank account. Funny how they are so polite and friendly when you ordering amd pay the too but once there is a real issue there is no customer service. You guys don't treat your customers as King.

Refused to let me and my partner to view tables upstairs, kept saying all is taken when it wasn't. The table they told us to sit at was dirty and we had to ask for it to be cleaned even though they could see it had been messed with food and there was a door next to our table which they kept slamming unnecessarily and was truly irritating. The mint leaves in my drink was black...was disappointed with it. Panarottis is normal clean, helpful and friendly staff but didn't get it from this branch. No professionalism from the management as well

I cannot review the food as we left before we could even eat. The evening was terrible, with your female manager talking to us with absolutely no respect. She was rude and did not even acknowledge that we were talking to her. The restaurant was filthy and poorly staffed. We waited for 10 minutes and no one even took our drinks order. When we finally gave up, we left the restaurant with the manager talking to one of the waitresses and laughing at us as we walked out. This kind of disrespect is ridiculous and then to be laughed at when walking out of the restaurant BECAUSE of their TERRIBLE service is just the cherry on top. PLEASE do not waste your hard earned money at this terrible restaurant. It’s not worth it.

Service at 1st was very slow but it was busy because we had to wait to be seated. After seating, its took 15 mins for us to place our orders. Because the waitress forgot about us (I think). Thereafter we waited 30 mins before receiving our meals but the drinks came afterwards with the kiddies pizza. The milkshakes were not cold. And then Mark stepped in to save the Team and day. Our drinks were redone and came back cold, sauce of all kinds were on our table and sides that he done on the house and giving us a mighty discount and...his way of apologising for the delays. Well done Mark and Team. The meals were tasty.

I have never been this disappointed in my entire life. The services i have received from panarottis gateway is appalling. We were a group of 7 people having a lunch with a team mates. Just because we made noise due to laughing the manager became so racist towards us. He thought we were just a drunk bunch such that he reprimanded us like kids instead of telling us to keep it low. I am very disappointed about this and not happy because this is not how i expect to be treated in a democratic country.

I ordered take away from Mr Delivery and it took an hour to get my order. The pizza was cold and the pizza is supposed to be wood fire pizza. I had Panarottis in Witbank a few weeks ago and Gateway does not come close to that branch. Spending over R400 for two pizza's then it should be amazing. Very disappointing!!

Good traditional pizza, especially the seafood pizza. Unfortunately one of our pizzas was the sweet chilli chicken pizza had one slice with no toppings at all. Overall a good 4 star rating

Pannarottis Gateway has the most appalling service of any restaurant I have been to in Durban. Their manager is extremely rude and unhelpful. We eventually had to just walk out. If you are at Gateway there are far better Italian restaurants at the mall

Great place, always love panarottis pizza. Quality delicious food right here. At this specific panarottis restaurant though, half the staff were super friendly and helpful and creating a great vibe, and the other half were duds, seemed sad and not friendly. When you go here, just hope you get a nice waiter and you will enjoy it!

Customer service is atrocious, staff are rude and talk behind customers backs. Female manager has no respect asking me personal questions. This place is not worth your time, wouldn't recommend.

Fantastic food and fun space for kids. The kids area has demarcated spaces for the kids to maintain a safe distance and controlled environment to make parents feel a bit more comfortable. Manager is hand on and regularly checking between the kitchen and tables to ensure quick table service and orders are perfectly done.

Generous servings at fair prices and great service from Thondo. First picture is the carne pasta and the second the carnivore pizza. LOADS of meat with each!

I ordered the monsterito pizza gourmet and paid R239 for it however the toppings were so less so were the cheese compared to the very same pizza I ordered at the Cornubia mall which was much tastier and boy were they generous with the toppings that was worth the price! More
