This is the best Chinese food I have ever had! I did not realize that egg drop soup could taste so good. Sure, I've had plenty of egg drop soup and it tasted good but this was phenomenally good. I also greatly enjoyed the homemade egg rolls and steamed dumplings. I was in town due to my friend having knee replacement surgery and made sure to stop by here often while I was there. I just wished I lived closer so I could go there more often! The staff are very friendly and go above and beyond. The building is very quaint and simple. I was not expecting such phenomenal food. I will definitely be going by here for Chinese food anytime I go to Jacksonville!

Something to note: they have a $15 minimum for delivery I ordered the shrimp and chinese vegetables dinner combo (comes with rice and egg roll), egg drop soup, and steamed dumplings. My dinner entree was enjoyable for the price. The shrimp and vegetables were good and the rice was cooked well. The roll was crispy and had adamant filling My complaints are with the soup and dumplings. The soup was sort of bland, even when I added salt and pepper. In addition, the wonton chips that came with the soup were stale. Even the fortune cookie was so stale, it didn't break, I just had to bend it open. The dumplings were my biggest disappointment because the wrapping for the steamed dumplings was so thick, it's chewy. In addition, I hoped for a mixture of vegetables and meat in the filling but I think it was just meat. Overall, for $16, it was okay.

We moved here from NY Metro, and have struggled to find consistent, good Chinese food. Compared to the rest of the local market, this is really a leading place. First, I give MAJOR bonus points for the fact that I was recognized on my second visit as a repeat customer, with very pleasant conversation from the owner. That sort of recognition speaks volumes about how someone runs their business. More importantly, I'm able to get dishes I either can't find, or that are so terrible elsewhere as not to bother. (cold sesame noodles, and shrimp/chicken with Chinese eggplant for example.). If you're looking for blah "mall-style" Chinese food, then this is not your place. It's as close to NY Metro style Chinese as we've found, after sampling at least 20 places.

I have NEVER left a Google Review in my entire life. However, last night, I decided to try this restaurant. Listen, I am a born and raised New Yorker. My comfort/go-to food is Americanized Chinese food. For months I've been trying different restaurants throughout Jacksonville and nothing really satisfied my craving. Well, guess what? I FOUND "MY" CHINESE FOOD RESTAURANT! I even thought about calling the restaurant last night to thank them. Haha! If you're from NY or the upper east coast, you know that the consistency of the "brown sauce" is thicker. Not only was the sauce PERFECT, but the consistency of their white rice was perfect. This is a review really just to say, thank you! And, if you're from NY who loves their local Chinese food from back home. This is your joint!

Ordered for delivery the boneless spare ribs w/ lo mein dinner combo and krab rangoons due to the restaurants 4 stars. The ribs tasted nothing like they were supposed to, and they were too salty and tough. Where's the sauce that's supposed to be covering them? The rangoons had no krab, it was all mainly cream cheese. And for some reason my lo mein had nothing in it but noodles? There was no cabbage and veggies at all. I spent $15.20 (because they told me my order had to be $15 or above to get delivery, which is way too much) on this order only to have every thing messed up. Won't be ordering from here again.

I haven't been here in almost a year and I'm so glad that I visited again.. It's always great food and an even better customer experience! I got the lunch special today and they did not skimp on portions like some Chinese restaurants do. The shrimp and Chinese vegetables is my go to and they have a great assortment of fresh vegetables. My partner bought the vegetable fried rice small and was pleasantly surprised with the quality as well! The business owner always treats me well and you can tell she takes pride and care in her customers and food. I'll be visiting more often for sure!

I just ordered here tonight for the first time. Staff was very friendly as well as the delivery driver. Food was phenomenal for Chinese take out, very well flavored and reminds me of what I used to get late at night as a child with my dad. Nothing fancy, just good comfort food. Overall, I was impressed. The only thing I wasn't too keen on was the egg rolls but I don't like most egg rolls so I'm a bad point of reference there. I ordered chicken lo mein, shrimp fried rice, sesame chicken, and Mongolian beef and they were all delicious. We will order from here again.

This Chinese restaurant is local to my business. I have made three visits. Food is mediocre at best. One step down from the typical plaza take-out Chinese food. It appears to be owned and operated by a couple. The wife takes the orders and payment. I have found her to be curt and unfriendly. Not once did she ever say thank you after handing me the food and taking payment. Not a big deal, but rude and lame food is not a formula for success. I will now drive 10 minutes further because this place is just not worth my time.

3/18/22 early afternoon walked in greeted the man behind the counter repeated myself until he replied. Ordered General’so chicken and white rice. At first bite I noticed a funny taste in the chicken, split it out tried another piece and the same taste. Got up it went into the trash bin and the man behind the counter ask me what happen, “I stated your serving rotten chicken and keep my money “ walked out never again. I won’t eat chinese food in Florida ever again !

Something's not right. Poor quality. Warrants an inspection. Painfully obvious bad food preparation techniques. Food tastes old as if precooked, rice hard and luke warm, egg foo young tastes of old oil and its sauce is nothing more than a coffee colored gelatinous goo. Sesame chicken was tight balls of wet dough... Lomein looked like left overs and sticky. Chicken wings...smh. Could not finish the meal, refused to swallow anymore and threw it out. No return visit.

Finally, some legit chinese food. Bought for take out and the hot and sour soup (which I can't find anywhere nearby) had all the right ingredients. Not hot enough for my palate and was probably reduced for the American audience. Ordered the kung pao special and Mongolian beef. Serving size was good, so you get your money's worth.

We used to go here all the time when we lived closeby. Then we moved and sort of forgot about how good Panda House is. So we are back in a big way, and just like when we lived in NYC, Chinese takeout is at least once a week. The cold sesame noodles are amazing, best outside of NYC. Chicken and broccoli is amazing. Szechuan chicken or beef are outstanding. Worth driving since so much of Jax has such terrible Chinese food. Panda House is worth the drive.

Walked in after work, this being my first time here. It looked to be the owners (couple) arguing back and forth in the back. When placing my order I was told it would take 15 minutes. The order taker was very rude and unprofessional. Very weird for the location. I take pride in living at the town center expecting excellent customer service from near by businesses. Food mediocre at its best. Will not be back.

We get take out here every other week. Their crab Rangoons are the best I have ever had. Every time we go somewhere else their crab Rangoons are so sad compared to Panda House because they are that good. We like the beef fried rice, wonton soup, and enjoy the general Tsos combo that comes with an egg roll. Customer service is on point and the price is fantastic for the amount of food you get.

If you rated this place above 2 stars I feel bad for you not knowing what good food taste like, honest this is one of the nastiest tasteless places I have eaten at , would of been better off eating at a drive through, the chicken with garlic sauce I ordered was dark brown with no garlic or red peppers,THE TWO MOST IMPORTANT INGREDIENTS! Will never be going near this place again!

Great for take out Chinese! The wonton soup is wonderful and the beef and broccoli combo is a great deal. The inside is a little small so most people get takeout but you can definitely dine in if you like.

We went here based on many favorable reviews. As soon as we walked in, we decided to leave. The place was dark, most of the lights were turned off, it appeared only one person was working and no one came out to greet us. The counter top holding menus was not clean, so we felt that if the customer-facing area was not clean we could not order from here. We will not be back.

We ate at Panda House tonight. The food was excellent! The ladies working here were very friendly. Our food came quickly and was quite delicious. We are from out of town And the next time we come in town we'll be back here to eat.

This is a small family owned restaurant to my knowledge. I know the owner through her daughter who goes to UNF. Their chinese donuts are great, its food is at the sweet spot between fast food places like panda express and actual restaurants like golden house. The inside closes at 10pm but i think delivery is still a thing after. Not sure what time they close completely.

Ordered veg Spring roll(it’s tasty), Teriyaki Chicken(felt little dry) and chicken Low Mein(tasty, however less quantity). Silverware are not provided/ no black pepper / no hot sauce. I will try this place again to see if the things change.

This is the only Chinese takeout that I have liked jacksonville in the 10 years I've been here. Tried other comparable restaurants and they were pretty bad. Since my family has various food allergies we've always ordered customized menu items and even off menu items. Glad to have my staple Chinese takeout that is close, accommodating and good.

Ordered from here for the first time tonight and their pork fried rice tasted bad (a weird metal taste) and I couldn’t finish eating it, but the General Tso Chicken and egg roll was good. Maybe most of their food is good and just not the pork fried rice, so I’ll give them another try. The delivery man was very nice and friendly too.

My Chinese food go to. I love interacting with the owners. They are super fast and kind. If you want to order food accurately in less than 10 seconds, they take an accurate order that fast.

I drive 30 minutes out of my way past a dozen other Chinese take out restaurants because the food here is so much better. The staff is always pleasant as well. I was tempted to go 5 stars but I reserve that for over the top outstanding on anything and I almost never go 5 stars but I think many would rate them that high.

First time ordering from here... this place is amazing! We ordered general tso chicken, honey chicken, beef lo mein, and salt and pepper jumbo shrimp. They arrived in great time with hot food and they gave us a box of hot and fresh Chinese donuts! Everything tastes perfect! Definitely my go to Chinese place now!

Not fresh ingredients - vegetables and proteins low quality and you can see and taste the lack of freshness. They saved a of bucks at the vegetable and meat market and this is what you get. Also cooked blandly and poorly. Seriously folks any 5 stars ratings here is a scam, still shaking my head in disbelief.

For price, Panda and Pei Wei equal competition. I called and placed order 10 minutes before arrival. She thought I was a delivery driver or something even tho I paid cash - telling me to grab sauces. Food really is mediocre and mine was hot/fresh. Lots of salt/msg so avoid if you have dietary conditions.

Place was awful. Food was overcooked. Call in my order and they said 20 minutes. It actually took them 35 minutes to finish. The bourbon chicken was not sauced right The house lo mein was over cooked and dry. The shrimp egg rolls had no shrimp and was overcook and it wasnt even crowded when I ordered

I have been coming to this restaurant since first moving to Jacksonville. It was a very short walk from my house. I moved away and hen I am back in town, I always have to come back. I enjoy their Pupu platter. I really like their house fried rice too. The lady who works there is always super nice.

I love this place, its usually my second choice as my first is about 30 minutes away from me but the lady who usually takes my order and cashes me out was super nice. Threw in some chinese doughnuts completely free the friday after thanksgiving. My family thoroughly enjoyed the hot fresh food.

The food is fantastic and the value is incredible. I've had the sesame chicken, honey chicken, and General Tsos chicken. General Tsos wasn't quite as spicy as I'd prefer, but sesame chicken is my go-to anyways. The owner is very accommodating and I get mine unfried. Try this place out.

I love this place! The lady who works there is always super sweet and tries to get your order as best as she can. The whole restaurant is very traditional and feels homely. The food is always fresh aswell. If you are looking for a Chinese food place to go to In jax this is the place.

Disappointed! I ordered their egg fu Yung. It was overcooked and slightly burnt. Instead of including the traditional Chinese gravy they used a dark sauce which had an awful taste. The included egg roll was dry not fresh. I don't recommend this Chinese restaurant.

While the food here is always good tonight the food is exceptional. My Mongolian beef was too good not to want more. The cold noodles were off the chart. As busy as they were today they were doing everything right. Always our favorite place to go.

I have eaten here a few times and have never been disappointed. It's quick and delicious. My favorite thing is how big their crab rangoons are and how many I get in a bag. It's way more generous than most other Chinese food places.
