This occurred earlier this year (2023), I believe around late spring. I used to love this place. The desserts were always interesting and ranging from decent to delicious. They have since changed baker and I tried one of their new items; blueberry chocolate tart and I've never had anything as gross as this before. At first I thought I would just eat the cream and blueberries as the tart had an off taste and didn't fit with the rest of the ingredients. But I realized the cream was also weird, as it tasted soapy. That's the first time I have not finished one of their desserts. The young woman (maybe a student) at the cashier took the food back, but didn't offer I get something else. She seemed rather insulted I didn't like it, claiming "it was a big favourite". I don't know that it could have been been a "favourite" since I didn't think the new baker had been there for that long. I've actually been a food taster in my earlier days and have a good palate, so I stood my ground that the dish tasted off. Seeing that I was receiving a curt service and thought it'd be important to advise the manager, who was out that day, that a soapy taste should be a red flag, I gave her my contact information. She told me I'd be contacted, but have not since. I'm writing an article on restaurant red flags at the moment, and I remembered this instance. I don't normally post bad reviews, but I felt compelled that management ought to know and be careful about the possibility of cleaning supplies being stored near food ingredients.

DO NOT COME HERE. Me and my friend came in, we both payed and tipped well. There was only one person working so I gave grace and understanding. But I can only give so much of my patience. My friend ordered the breakfast croissant, which arrived within 5 mins…. 30 mins later however, my salad HASNT arrived!!!!? As I give up about to go to the counter to get a refund, miss girl says can I talk to you? I’ve been looking forever and we don’t have cheese for the salad. Liessss. She hadn’t put over 8 drinks while I was waiting for my salad. I got a refund but my tip wasn’t refunded. Worst cafe/restaurant experience I’ve ever had. Begging you to not waste your time and come here.

First time here and it's very open and bright. It was full at 2 in the afternoon and I was lucky enough to get the last table. The pastries look delightfull and the one I tried was good and fresh. Many drinks to choose from and my complaint is they don't put your order out at the same time. I had to make three trips to the side counter and when it's as full as it was, it's really hard trying to get to the side counter maneurving within chairs, tables and coats. Parking is terrible, I drove around numerous times before I found somewhere, not much they can do but it is frustrating. Definitely give them a try.

Matcha latte has been good everytime I've come here. Has window facing counters for laptops with normal and usb plugins which is great for students. Almost always parking somewhere because it's a big area with lots of stores. People have been friendly the 5+ times I've been here.

I’m visiting from Australia and it’s hard to find good coffee. Panama has soy milk as well as other alternatives. Coffee is decent (caffe monte roasters) but the standout is their middle eastern sweets, namely baklava which comes in different varieties and packs from $2-$45 for a large and beautifully presented platter.

I Used to love coming to this cafe to study, especially now because of the boycott of Starbucks going on, Parama cafe seemed like a no brainer to study at. However, getting bullied into leaving after an hour because managers don't want paying customers to stay long and study has really turned me off from going here anymore. Losing long term customers is going to hurt your business if you don't start treating customers like they're welcome anymore.

Paramo is my automatic go-to when anyone suggests meeting for coffee. The coffee is excellent, the service is always great and their food is very tasty. But the real highlight are the desserts! Choosing just one from the many options is hard! Definitely recommend!

This is a relatively new cafe up in a new development area of Griesbach in Edmonton. The food, establishment and service were ok. It's one of the better cafes in North Edmonton so for that reason alone I'll give it 4 stars. 4 x ☕☕☕☕

I had been to this location before ownership changed. The service seems much better but the quality is quite poor. The flat white I ordered was a poor quality cappuccino and the pistachio croissant was deceiving, it was a Costco croissant covered in pistachio cream. I would not recommend this cafe, the quality of their products is low. More

Great cafe/patisserie! Did some work here and got a few pastries, all of which are pretty good and decently priced. Just seemed a little understaff for how busy it was at the moment, and when asked about the pastries I was given incorrect description (ie. Told strawberry when it was raspberry, or told Ferrero when it was a brownie) More

Literally so yummy. The ladies who work there and I think own it were so nice and helpful. I'm a vegetarian and they have a lot of veggie options and they even were accommodating. Definitely will be back

My friend and I got a latté and hot cocoa and got a slice of red velvet and carrot cheesecake. The carrott cheesecake was very nice and very filling! Found it to be more expensive than other cafés, however the service was quick and nice and the ambiance was welcoming also. More
