Parque Ibirapuera, the sprawling park in São Paulo, offers an immense and delightful experience. Renting bicycles to explore the park allowed us to fully immerse ourselves in its beauty and grandeur. The lush greenery, serene lakes, and well-maintained pathways created the perfect backdrop for a captivating adventure. Riding through Parque Ibirapuera provided us with a wonderful opportunity to connect with nature, unwind, and appreciate the urban oasis that this park truly is.
Playground
Parque Ibirapuera is not only a beautiful space for adults, but it also offers a fantastic playground for young visitors. The playground is thoughtfully designed, providing a safe environment for kids to play and explore. With swings, sculptures, and various play structures, the playground offers an excellent opportunity for children to enjoy the space in their own unique way, adding another layer of excitement to the Parque Ibirapuera experience.
I recently had the opportunity to escape the urban jungle and immerse myself in the lush oasis that is Ibirapuera Park, a verdant gem situated in the heart of São Paulo. This sprawling green space, brimming with vibrant flora and soothing ponds, provides an idyllic retreat for city dwellers and tourists alike. Amidst the park's captivating landscape, one can't help but marvel at the harmonious blend of nature and art, as impressive sculptures and architectural landmarks accentuate the picturesque surroundings. Joggers, cyclists, and families can be seen reveling in the park's tranquility and expansive recreational offerings. Ibirapuera Park is a testament to São Paulo's commitment to preserving and celebrating nature in an urban environment, and it is an absolute must-visit for anyone seeking a respite from the city's bustling pace.
What an amazing place. We were slightly worried about visiting at night as we didn't know what to expect but we were absolutely blown away. The parque was so busy at 9:30pm, the path was more or less constantly full with families, dog walkers, runners, shirtless body builders, cyclists, stalls selling fresh coconuts and children with rented 3/4 people bikes making it a very exciting if slightly chaotic late evening stroll. On the 2nd of December they had many Christmas things set up such as a huge tree, many lights everywhere and lots of activities for children. I would highly recommend going here if you're in Sao Paulo since it is very different to the rest of the city.
Beautiful park with huge trees, lush plants, and well-maintained walkways and bicycle lanes. Several modern art pieces near the modern art museum, a few were closed for repair. Most of the park is closed to vehicles so you feel safe biking or walking with kids. Restrooms were clean and in good repair, and a few vendors peppered throughout the park made it possible to buy water, juice, or snacks. The coolest thing was the black swans. About a dozen of them, paddling serenely around the lake. Gorgeous. We rented bicycles for 7 reis per hour, and had a great time riding around.
I visited Ibirapuera Park on Feb 2021, the day before State of Sao Paulo announced another lockdown. Sao Paulo rains a lot so I always try to go out in the morning when there is still Sun. I'm glad I decided to go, especially that I'm a nature lover. If you haven't been to Sao Paulo, it's the 'New York' of Brazil- Skyscrapers, Establishments, and crowded streets. Good thing they have Parks this huge. It's clean and green. Perfect place for running, photography, and pretty much everything nice. Really amazing. Check out my IG- @jl.dormido
This is gorgeous park and free enter! A real place of tranquility amongst the madness of the city. You could easily spend half a day wondering around the park . I also visited the Afro Brazilian museum which was very interesting but bare in mind they don't have English translation. I would recommend bringing a picnic to have a lovely lunch on the grass. You could also go to a supermarket before hand to buy some water to make things cheaper, with street vendors selling at there usual prices - $3BR for a small bottle of water.
There's just so much to like about this park. It's huge and feels very safe and very well kept. The The bike trails and walkways provide for hours and hours of exploration and enjoyment in what is truly a world-class park and arboretum. To top it off you have iconic architecture from the legendary Oscar Niemeyer who designed a collection of buildings that are among his best work and represent the best of modernist architecture. Add to that a handful of truly outstanding museums. You could spend days here.
Amazing park! Great place to relax, take a walk or go for a jog. It's a perfect place to have a picnic also. Definitely cannot leave São Paulo without spending a day in Ibirapuera park. The best way to get there is by bus, car or Uber. You can also cycle as they have a cycling lane inside the park.
Dog-friendliness
You can easily wall with your dog all around the park.
Picnic area
There's many areas to have picnic in the park. Clean, safe and very chill.
Beautiful vibrant park with so much going on. Many people come and enjoy the park by tuning, cycling, working out, practice yoga amongst many things more. Brilliant area for skateboarding. Sunday afternoon fills up with teenagers listening to music, skating and romancing. It is kept amazingly clean. The museums inside are extraordinary. A park with all types of areas. The lakes are beautiful. Has nothing to envy from the great parks of the world
“Central Park” of Sao Paolo, it is such a nice contrast to all the skyscrapers and concrete of the city. Lot of green area, good for bicycles, running or simply relaxing on the green grass. To me looks like a pretty safe place. Couple of exhibitions are present inside of the park for those who like art. Some small hand made souvenirs are also available for purchase. If you visit Sao Paolo, this park is Must to see, at least for one hour.
The Park offers a vast, vibrant green space within the city, perfect for various activities such as leisurely strolls or invigorating runs. The serene lakeside provides a tranquil setting for reading, while families can enjoy the playgrounds. Art enthusiasts can explore exhibitions, and there's even a planetarium for those interested in astronomy. Numerous dining options and snack spots throughout the park cater to different tastes.
A great and beautiful park as well as you feel yourself in rain forest.
Playground
There are too many places to play games individual or group/team
Restrooms
There are a lot of public toilets, all of it clean not dirty.
Dog-friendliness
This place definitely appreciate for dogs. There is some dogs park and making them socially
Picnic area
So good for picnic with your parents, families or friends
Pretty park with lush grounds. We rented the bikes they offer and rode around the place. The bikes for 2 are $4/hr! And the bicycles are $2/hr. Lots of carts selling fresh coconut juice, and other snacks. Plenty spots to have a picnic. Stopped at a restaurant there, with very friendly service. The restrooms very clean too! P.s:- Few of the photos in uploading are not mine. I have downloaded them from internet.
Park is a gem in the heart of São Paulo. The green spaces, gardens, and lakes provide a peaceful escape from the bustling city, while the cultural attractions, including museums and concert halls, offer a glimpse into the rich culture of Brazil. With free admission, it's the perfect spot for a day out with friends and family. Highly recommended for anyone looking to enjoy the outdoors in São Paulo.
A nice pack in the middle of the city. Think of it as Central Park on New York City, the Brazilian version though . You can rent bikes to go around the park, enjoy the view of the water and also visit the Afro Museum and some other near by attractions. The entry to the park is free. It has a number of eateries and hawkers within the park for drinks and food. It can get hot so be prepared.
Great park for a stroll, run, or biking. Packed with people on nice days, weekends, and holidays. I was in Sao for a week and would go for my runs in this park. The walking and running lanes are interchangeable, but people are pretty good about biking only in the bike lane. Coconuts are 9BR. There is a softer dirt perimeter path if preferred. Beautiful for pictures. Clean park.
Great public park. Cars are not allowed inside and there's cycle lanes everywhere. It's worth renting a bike to see all around, as the area is massive on foot. Also has some attractions like the modern arts museum and the planetarium available, and a lot of drink and food options scattered around.
Restrooms
Can be found in many places colored in light blue.
The one of the best Beautiful Park. It is really worth to watch place. Once in a life experience. It feels like I was so close to the nature. The lake was clean and park is so well managed. Kudos to the staff...

Picnic area
Best area for picnic...
Great place to enjoy nature, have a nice long walk/run, read a book next to the lake, take your kids to have fun, see the art expositions and even visit the planetarium inside. There are some restaurants with decent food and you can buy snacks all around the park. If you’re a foreigner, it’s super safe (even at night)!
Restrooms
Ok and clean
I haven't taken time to go round this park because it is quite large. One of, of not the biggest leisure park in the whole of Brazil. Its so beautiful and natural with lots of fun activities to do within the grounds. A fantastic place to bring your kids too. It's not a place you can explore and appreciate in a day. I will definitely be back again!
I visit the park at least once a week, either to work out or relax. It's perfect for tourists or for regulars. There are monuments, museums, food/drink vendors, outdoor activities to participate in, or nature to look at. I prefer running on the less-trafficked 6km marked trail around the edge of the park instead of on the main paved loop.
What a great park. Reminds me of Central Park in New York. But better they have dedicated bike and walking and running lanes. places to do sports or just sit around and play in the playground or lay in the shade. Beautiful vegetation beautiful trees great little nature trails as well. What a great park to have in a city like this.
Nice place but it’s usually crowded on sunny weekends. Better get there early if you wanna park inside or rent a bike to ride around. I usually go there during Pokémon Go events, best place in São Paulo to play it. They have restrooms all over the park and places to eat but it’s kinda expensive. You can also bring your own food.
One of the best places to visit in São Paulo. Favourite park in the city for many. The lake with all the fishes is indeed mesmerizing except for some waste that is thrown there. Ample space for one to breathe, spend time. With Museums and the Auditorium, it just adds feathers to the crown. I thoroughly enjoyed my time there.
Do not leave São Paulo without visiting this park. The park is extremely beautiful and large with so much to see. The natural beauty is very hard to describe and show in photos. There are also several great local food vendors here, with some very nice picnic areas. Definitely a nice break from the cityscape of São Paulo.
Ibirapuera Park is the most visited park in Latin America, with the number of visitors 14.5 million people. Despite the fact that the park located in the middle of Sao Paulo, the park has cover around 1.6 sq.metre which has plenty of areas to joggling, leisure, napping or even visiting museums inside the park.
Very nice and clean. With beautiful views and lots to do!
Playground
Alot of different playground for children.
Restrooms
Multiple restrooms.
Dog-friendliness
Plenty of people with dogs on a leash and off a leash. Very dog friendly.
Picnic area
Lots of places to eat around the park.
What's there to say – this one's a classic. A vast park where you can do sports, join a couple of kids playing ball, dance to the music local musicians willingly share with the visitors of the park, visit interesting museums and have delicious coconut water.
Picnic area
Lots of space to do picnics
Easily one of the top city parks I have visited! Aside from the natural beauty, it has the arts, futbol, volleyball, doggy area, ample available refreshments. What impressed me the most is the amount of park resource workers; maintenance, construction, security, etc. Never seen anything close to this..
Everyone says this is a must but its not must see. Nothing iconic, just a nice park to walk around and be in semi nature for an hour or two. Park is free so that's a plus. Good to see locals exercising and taking a break to enjoy their lives. Aa a tourist, if you skip it you don't miss much.
Beautiful and very well maintained park. Lots of couples and families. Good running trails (although as a foreigner I would appreciate more signs to not get lost!). I am absolutely impressed with the modernist building and city views. One of the most beautiful urban parks I’ve seen.
A fabulous oasis in the heart of trendy Sao Paulo - Go there on a weekend, hire a bike, grab a coffee and see how many outrageously cute fluffy dogs (and even pretty rabbits) you can spot. Perfect before or after a bottomless brunch if you're feeling like a perfect lazy Sunday :-)
It has been called the "green lung" of the city. Ibirapuera has all the facilities you could want to spend a pleasant day with family, friends or by yourself - there's so much to do from sports to museums. And the best thing is you can get about easily by bike, cart, or by foot!
Such a beautiful location to visit in the middle of Sao Paulo, this is a must-see if you're in town and will definitely mark a highlight of my trip here. The flora and fauna are unparalleled within the city itself and there is a smattering of cool exhibits to check out as well.
A gorgeous park filled with museums, walking trails, bike paths and nature. There's plenty of tree and ponds and it's a nice escape from the surrounding metropolis if you need a break to catch some air and feel the earth under your feet. Highly recommended to visit this park.
A must see in Sao Paulo. It's a little quiet and green slice of paradise in the city and a good escape from the crowd. Great museums, beautiful graffiti and wall art, cool installation art exhibits outdoors. Plenty of animal roaming free. Areas of shade and areas of sun.
Ibirapuera Park is currently more beautiful than ever. Especially the core, near the playground is always very nice and peaceful. The coffee shops deserve a visit. I would highlight the coconut, the cheese bread and the banana gluten-free cake at Madureira coffee place.
Beautiful park with walking/running/skating and biking trails everywhere. Many other amenities like exercise equipment, playgrounds, bathrooms, ponds, streams, even a concert area. Reminiscent of Central Park in N.Y. but cleaner and rainforest type of vegetation.
Wonderful park, great for a stroll, jog, bike ride or picnic. Many indoor choices as well for rainy days. Clean public restrooms, many kiosks offering a variety of snacks and drinks at fair prices. Excellent place to hang out with friends, alone, or with family.
This is a large park that provides plenty of space for running, cycling, picnics, walking... There's a large play area for families with children, a beautiful lake with ducks, sufficient clean restrooms, and a few places to eat. Weekends are especially popular.
It's a beautiful place but very massive!!! You could get lost in the place haha but you can always find a way out. A nice place to ride bikes, scooters, rollerskates and walk around. Also a nice place for families and picnics in the park and much more.
Must visit place in Sao Paulo.. u can see a lot of energy in that place and believe me, it's infectious. From playing soccer to basketball to volleyball to plain jogging or cycling, you will be amazed by the range of activities available there..
Definitely one of the most amazing places and rich in beauty, tranquility and harmony !!! A place to visit as a family, among friends or alone and for sure to return !!! If possible, go in the middle of the week !!! You will love!!! ✨ …
It's a very big park with a great lake in the middle and a fountain with a lot of playing grounds so you can do a lot of activities, and there is some museums to visit too with some small shops for some hand make work and alot of places to eat
It's always a pleasure to walk in this park. Calm and beautiful Last time I went there, there was a food festival which made my stay in Sao Paulo even better. It wasn't calm anymore hahahah but the vibe coming from this place was just perfect
Absolutely beautiful park. Probably one of the best parks I've ever been too. There's so much to do and lots of food places to grab a snack. They also have a Japanese Garden you can check out. I highly recommend going if you have the chance.
This park is wonderful. It’s located in the middle of the São Paulo city in a rich Area. There you can walk, run, ride a bike, have a picnic with friends and family, walking your dog. Sometimes some shows and art gallery are open. It’s our
Visit the park to let nature give you break from Sao Paulo croud. Parque Ibirapuera, a verdant oasis in the heart of São Paulo, captivates with its sprawling beauty and cultural richness. As one of Latin America's largest urban parks, it
A very well maintained and huge park. This is one of the most famous parks where people come to workout, run, jog, walk or just relax. Great place to come with family and have some great time. But the small lakes need cleanup
Biggest park in Sao Paulo, it's a great escape from traffic and concrete jungle, you basically don't hear any noise from the city...go for a walk or for a run or just to lay down on grass and enjoy that beautiful place …
Really wonderful city park. It's huge and safe. With so menu different areas to explore. We rented a family bike at Gate 6, it was really fun to ride around the park in. So happy a park like this exists in such a huge city.
Awsome park in Sao Paulo! Strolled for 2 hours on a Sunday felt perfectly secure. Bought some coconut water, watched people and had a great day in the sun. Great park for running & training, plenty of body weight gym's
beautiful place, you can run, ride bicycle, simply seet near the water and eat something. really fun, a piece of wild nature in tje midlle of the city ! potographer like me will enjoy to take picture there !! enjoy :)
The park is free to enter but the museums (2 of them) has a charge and they were not open when I went. The African is 15 reals but free on Wednesday. The park is large and has many activities. It is worth 3-4 hrs.
Respect the signs people. Always to the right please. Cars not allowed on the running lane. There is only one running lane, please respect. Very nice unpaved path circling the park if you like to avoid the crowds
Best park in São Paulo and it is free to enter, it is a lot safer even at night since it started to be managed by private initiative. Usually on weekends you can find nice festivals in some parts of the park.
It’s a beautiful park with many different spaces where you can either relax, workout or go to the temporary exhibitions. It’s really clean, safe, and well taken care of. It was a nice escape from the city.
Cool park in the city to walk around. It’s got a couple loops with ponds. You can rent bikes. We went when it was lightly raining but it was still nice to see. Wish I had more time to spend inside.
Wonderful park. São Paulo is quite built up without many green areas so this place was perfect to relax. Lots of cafes and coconut stalls and a big lake and a little waterfall light snow at sunset
Ibirapuera is a fabulous park, good for exploring and long walks or just a picnic on the grass. The weekends are super lively, and weekdays are quiet. The atmosphere is safe, even in the evenings.
Amazing get away from the city. Can really forget you are in a major city while in the park. Getting there by foot can sometimes be difficult though, and it seems many people get a little lost.
Visited Sept 9, 2021. Very beautiful and safe park in the heart of São Paulo. Lots of things to see and do especially the free museums located within the park. Definitely a place to visit!
My favorite place in São Paulo! Get a coffee, sit on one of the meadows and enjoy the sun. At the weekend there are many locals in the park and the art museums are worth every visit.
Great park with bike rental, various art sculptures, museums and info centres, and stall traders selling drinks and crisps. Very relaxing walk through nature and the lakes
Gorgeous, well maintained park. Felt very safe walking around here and loved being able to rent a bike to get around. Would recommend seeing while you’re in São Paulo.
Gorgeous park. Huge and could easily spend a whole day there. We hired a bike and went for a ride. There are also places to eat, public toilets and 3 museums.
Fantastic park with great outdoor activities for everyone - for example, on weekends rent a bike for only R$ 5 per hour and enjoy your ride through the city!
One of the best public parks in the city of São Paulo! Huge, many tracks for running, biking, kids playgrounds and place for dogs. Worth a visit always! More
The nicest park in São Paulo City, lots of trees and green areas to relax, go for a walk or jogging, sit close to the lake, hear the crickets and the birds.
Very good place and very natural! A lot of people there and a lot activities to do. There are 2 restaurants with good service and good food. Good prices.
Awesome park, you can hire a bi/tricycle at the entrance, huge park with lots of activities around….. definitely a must visit
Wonderful park with a couple of lakes. Great to hire bicycles and ride around. Security on entrances and throughout the park.
great environment. my cousin and I rented the family bike and did an hour tour around the park. best way to get to know it!
Wonderful city park with different culture exposition and museums located in the park. Made and maintained with love
Really lovely, relaxing park. Thoroughly enjoyed the full morning visiting and wish we could have explored longer.
Beautiful trails and walkways. Majestic trees and canopy. Lots of vendors and snack bars. Great experience.
Iconic park, a must stop! For a walk, food or a museum visit. You will find several attractions here :)!
What a day ! Beautiful park Cheap bike rentals Great scenery Enjoyed a fresh coconut! Highly recommend
I was amazed by the nature ..fresh air and enjoyed drinking coconut water /juice..loved the scenery..
Central park of Sao Paulo! It's a refreshing experience! Recommend to rent bicycle and take a ride
Really nice for late night walks since it’s not that safe to walk around at night in Brazil lol.
Beautiful park, so much space to run and relax, very safe feeling. Definitely worth the visit!
I recommend a fresh coconut water from one of the many vendors, it was a warm day for sure.
Awesome place! Great to workout, enjoy the day with friends and family, play and do picnic.
Beautiful park, and there is lots to see , from statues to museums, bike trails, and ponds.
Beautiful park with lots of wildlife around. Did the bike rental which was fun!
