Very nice green space and pathway. Just reopened in 2020 after some slope stability project completed. Excellent views of the bow river and mountains and wildlife sightings are always possible. Great little monument to the original Paterson family settlers. Worth the trip to walk the path. Winter time, bring chickadee food. There are lot of them there and they might just eat from you hand. A great surprise.

The monument pops up unexpectedly. Just happened upon it while walking by. Nice reminder of the people who settled this great land long ago, and in whose personal land now we find our neighborhoods in the south of Calgary. Tasteful remembrance of the Patterson family, among the many heroic people who opened up this part of the country against the odds of so much adversity and hardship.

This is a tiny postage stamp of a park but beautiful nonetheless! Make sure you read the commemorative plaque that is in place there and tells you something about the history of the homestead.

It is a nice park. if your hiking or biking along the bow river path this is a great place to stop for a break. It can better if there was a playground.

Terrific fall view from a viewpoint close by. There is also a bike/pedestrian trail leading all the way to Fish Creek Provincial Park.
