I cannot explain how ecstatic I was when I saw my sons first birthday cake. I actually cried. It was soo beautiful and surpassed all my expectations. I went to Harry the evening before my sons party with no idea about the kind of cake I wanted. I had lots of pictures and a theme but was confused. Anyway after an hour and a half discussion (this was after many phone calls) and showing him pictures, he reassured me that he would make everything work and give me a cake better than the photos. And it really was. And the taste was gorgeous. The taste, the soft and fluffy texture - everything. And EVERYONE commented on how beautiful and tasty the cake was. Thank you very much for easing my anxiety and contributing to the success of the day. I would give 10 starts out of 5 if I could.

I have only discovered this place recently. Up until now I would get cakes from other high street shops which do eggless cakes. They taste artificial and fake. Why do all customers have to suffer for those customers who may be allergic to eggs? This on the other hand was a fresh cream cake, the cake was soft and moist. The cream was delicious. I could not fault it at all. I ordered it online by picking my design and filling. Collected it at my allocated time. Customer service was on point too. As it’s real cream, handle it with care and refrigerate. It’s softer than artificial cream and doesn’t set. This will now be my regular spot for cakes. Recommended

Ordered once from here when they opened new. Cake was unfresh and horrible. Decided to try once more after a while, ordered fresh cream slices but they delivered cupcakes instead. Cupcakes were all over the place. Cake was so dry and horrible. Never ordering again after giving a second chance. Edit: Yes it was uber eats, and fair enough the cupcakes falling over was their fault. But the cakes being unfresh and so dry is a separate issue to do with yourselves. If fresh cream slices were not available I would rather you declined my order instead of sending such stale cupcakes. Had to throw them all in the bin and request full refund from ubereats.

Ordered a cake from Paul’s bakery, the main thing I wanted was a eggless cake and I have shopped around before for eggless cakes but hands down Paul’s Bakery’s cake was the best by far. I couldn’t believe all the touch ups they added to my cake, they put on all the information I wanted on the cake they were prompt with the delivery and as it was time sensitive for the cake to be delivered Harps made sure the cake was delivered on time. I would highly recommend Paul’s Bakery they provide a first class service and are prompt. Thank you for your service I appreciate all the thought you put behind my order.

Bought a cake from this bakery for a baby shower. Very professional service. I didn’t get the gentleman’s name (tall guy, says he commutes from Southall) Very patiently went through the options available and advised at every stage. All questions answered without the nonsense and No over-selling, The cake arrived as promised and on time. The cake was delicious and went down well with kids and adults alike. If you’re want a professional service, where the product is high quality and well-priced then use this bakery! Highly recommend.

Excellent service - I ordered an 18inch fresh cream cake and cupcakes for a family event with over 80 people. I ordered it on Friday morning by email with a picture of my own design for collection on Saturday evening. From beginning to end, the staff were accommodating and called/texted me to ask for details I hadn't thought of, which was great. The cake was perfect and tasted delicious - much better than other high street options! Staff went the extra mile with customer service in the shop on collection too!

I was excited to try this place after reading the positive reviews but I was very disappointed. I bought 4 slices of cakes and none of them were fresh. The red velvet cake was rock hard and had some tang to the taste so it was probably old or spoiled. This shop takes such pride saying that their cakes are "FRESH" but in reality how long have they been sitting there? Extremely poor quality cakes for the price. You get better fresh cream cakes at Tesco. Huge disappointment and a waste of money.

I had great experience with Paul's Bakery. A good place to place an order from overseas to greet your loved ones in UK. I sent cakes twice to my relatives in UK on birthdays and other such events and found them very professional and cooperative. Particularly a person named Mr. Abhi is amazing always who has very solution oriented approach to serve customers even who are sitting overseas to deal their orders with highly responsibility. Ordered a cake for my daughter's birthday from the Ilford branch. The order was placed over the phone by providing the reference number from the cake we saw on their website. The gentleman over the phone was very helpful and the process was seamless. Took a deposit and collected today for my daughter's birthday. Parking was available outside the shop and hassle free. Service was excellent and friendly. Defiantly will order again in the near future.

They were able to make an eggless black forest gateaux within 30 mins even though they were sold out. Really appreciate it! It was very yummy!! Favourite place to get cakes for the family!

I've used Paul's Bakery Ilford for several cakes. They always go that extra mile to ensure that the cake created matches taste and occasion. Everyone who has eaten the cakes always commented how lovely they were. They will even create vegan cakes if you ask them too. A brilliant bakery that will exceed anyone's expectation. I'll be using them for more cakes this year - you should too :-)

There are so many cake shops nearby, the eggless, cake box, etc etc but these guys do the best cakes by far. They can do made to order as long as you order early on the day. Everyone sells “fresh cakes” but you can really tell the difference with Paul’s Bakery as they also use the best ingredients. Give these guys a try and you will thank me later and never go back to anyone else

Hi there just wanted to share how lovely these cakes are, I have in total over the years bought many cakes from here due to the quality.. All my friends and family compliment the texture and taste each time. The shop assistants are friendly and helpful each time. Definitely reccomend it. if you haven't tried it yet, you certainly dont know what your missing.

This bakery is very reliable, not only is the great taste and high quality always consistent with every cake i have purchased, its also a life saver for last minute person like me, by offering and hour service!!!! which i have used multiple times and have always been happy. The staff has always been great, very helpful and welcoming at every visit.

We ordered a nice strawberry jam cake with coconut shavings and it was so fresh and the cream was not too heavy which was good. They also were very friendly and we really appreciated the service we received. We were offered a biscoff cake and that was just amazing. The best cakes I’ve tasted so far and will recommend all to use their services.

It's the first time ordering from here, first was I ordered from uber eats, I ordered an oreo cake, once I opened the box everything was a mess. The oreos was out of the box and the cream also. Second the cake was too dry. I'm so sorry to say this. I hope maybe next time I will get a better experience when ordering from you.

Ordered online for pickup. Easy process, message as requested. The smell inside the shop is amazing. Lovely touch with added edible glitter. Taste of the cake best of all eggless cake shops on Ilford lane. I ordered FA030 eggless chocolate sponge 10inch. There was enough to feed 13 people with leftovers for the day after.

Normally i go to cake box but i was gettin tired of their cakes so a friend recommended me this shop...good shout...cake was nice & moist...the brother anils customer service was on point...very friendly...warm & welcoming...defo my new go to cake shop...thank u again...would defo recommend to others...

Finally cakes with real fresh cream in Ilford! taste amazing and look great! Ordered fresh chocolate cream cake for my sister's birthday and it was delicious, loved by all the family! Always great service and good turnaround with writing messages on cakes. Very polite staff and always delicious cakes. Open till later than most others so very suitable for buying cakes on the day needed. Can also order by phone and collect at a later point, which is also a very handy option.

Brilliant cake, reasonable price. Great customer service. Balance of cream, jam and cake was absolutely fantastic. The cake wasn't too sweet and my daughter alongside guests of ages enjoyed the Barbie printed cake. Definitely will be coming back!!!

Such a good service. Had my wedding cake done by them and from the beginning they were very helpful and accommodating. I did want a simple cake but it did turn out perfect and very tasty. It was a buttercream cake, no icing.

Had a brilliant experience, this tasted like real fresh cream. The biscoff and pistachio slices were my favourite. Excellent range and good customer service.

Bespoke cake made exactly as required...tasted great too! Chocolate sponge was not dry neither moist. Buttercream tasted great (not sickly).
