I recently went Pawssum to see the options for a home euthanasia service one evening as our cat, 17 year old Siamese Luigi (pictured), has had a turn for the worse after doing very well on Prednisolone for over 16 months. I specifically asked not to be contacted as I was reviewing their services, as my young family is quite distraught at prospect of saying goodbye to our 17 year old cat. Within 5 minutes I’d received a txt asking to reply YES if I needed help. I didn’t reply to the txt. Then I received a direct call from an overseas call centre whilst we were trying to calm our children at the prospect of saying goodbye to our cat. The person on the phone was somewhat polite but their business mode clearly targeting people at their most vulnerable. My experience put me off straight away. Having read others recent reviews I can see that they are aggressive in the initial approach and largely a $$$ driven business model. Based on my experience, I would recommend either the a local animal shelter, a local RSPCA Vet Clinic or a local friendly vet. Expect to see a reply from the business denying this is their approach.

I have a gorgeous ten year old kitty cat who hates going to the vets. And lucky for her she's pretty much never been sick so goes very very rarely. Recently turning ten, I wanted to do a little check-in blood test, make sure she's as well on the inside as she seems on the outside. I tried day our local vet and we all ended up in tears, all too stressful. She's a very chilled out lady at home so finding this service I thought I should give it a go. Julie and James were absolutely fantastic. They did a full check, Vax and blood test in the comfort of our living room. Now let's not pretend my girl was completely chill about it but Julie and James were well oiled machines, got it done, while also comforting and supporting me, showing me where and how I could be helpful without getting in the way. Once it was all over, my little lady was back to lounging on the floor like no big deal. Just incredible experience and a service we will CERTAINLY be using again. Also, for those curious, blood test results came back clean as a whistle, same day as the whole adventure. Mind blown.

I was extremely impressed with PAWSSUM from start to finish. Maisie is a very anxious dog who shakes uncontrollably when she visits the vet, so I thought I’d give this a try for her vaccinations, and WOW what a difference. Maisie was super relaxed and didn’t even notice her first injection. The vet was so calm and gentle and took her time so Maisie could sniff around, I was surprised when Maisie lay right down beside her! As an extra they do a health check including, teeth, ears etc The booking was simple, within minutes of requesting an appointment online, I was called to confirm my needs and a vet was found on the day and time I requested. I had reminder texts, and a follow up on the day. PAWSSUM was extremely proficient, punctual and proactive in finding a vet to suit the day/time I needed. I will definitely be using them for her next vaccinations, the difference in Maisie’s demeanour was incredible and that made me so much more relaxed and happy. Thank you PAWSSUM !

12 months and 1 week after our beautiful Laura passed, we sadly say goodbye to her beloved dog Baylee .. We always said Baylee was our earth Angel, loving us through the ups and all the downs . Doctor/dogtor Stuart has seen my dogs twice now and both times has been fantastic with them. He’s very gentle and patient with them which I really appreciate. I’m sure it’s not easy having to work off customer’s kitchen benches and not have things like X-rays available to use. But Dr Stuart did an amazing job examining my little girl last night and ran through every thing that could be wrong with her. He provided me with some medication and she’s much better today. I can’t thank him and Pawsum enough :)

The Pawssum Vets team responded so quickly and professionally when i was in need to put my 18-year-old puppy down. It was an extremely hard moment for me but they provided the best service in a quick manner of time. The team even checked up on me after the process which made me feel very valued. It did not feel like i was a customer to them but rather a friend that was there for me when I needed them. Thanks to them and Dr Beshoy my best friend, Poppy, is able to rest in peace.

Outstanding service: Dr Stuart visited my home and saved me the dreadful visit to the vet to put my beloved Snoopy to sleep. My family was with me and Snoopy was able to lay on my lap, with my other dog beside. It was respectful, calm, dignified, kind and quick. Dr Stuart was gentle and empathetic. I would not hesitate to use this service again and would completely recommend it to anyone in this terrible situation. Thank you Dr Stuart, I am so grateful to you.

If I could rate it no stars I would. Our dog is dying and I waited for hours at the house (we're moving, dog was going into care for a few days so was still at the old house while loading the truck) with a nb and two children for them to say they couldn't reach a vet. No one is coming to help you and your dog. I hope my dog makes it through the night my kids are distraught. This is who they couldn't save my Nismo. He died through the night.

Pawssum were amazing when we made the decision to send our beautiful girl Kara over the Rainbow Bridge. They had the wonderful Dr Peter out to our place just a couple of hours after we called. Dr Pete was so kind, compassionate and understanding. It made a hard decision just that little bit easier. Hi, Vet was very knowledgeable and professional. He put me at ease. Discovered problem quickly and supplied short term meds for my cat. She improved over following 3 days and we didn't need another appointment. Excellent service. She didn't need antibiotics for a urine problem. Just stress related bladder issues following recent euthanasia of older unwell family dog. Cat and dog had been close. She's okay now. Thanks

Dr Beshoy came to our place to put our girl Buffy to rest he was fantastic it was done with compassion and empathy it was sad and beautiful as she was at home with us. Dr Peter was absolutely wonderful & we've been so impressed with how our beloved 18yr old cat Todd's last hours were handled, as well as with Evermore's service. We are very grateful to have had Dr Beshoy to put our beloved 15 year old cat Sushi to rest. He was professional, kind and calming. He put us at ease from the moment he came. Fantastic! We had an emergency on a Sunday and James was at our house within 1 hour. He fixed up our little poodle and he gratefully recovered within the week, due to the fast actions of Pawssum. The second best part was the price being half of what I expected on a Sunday. Thanks to the team for an awesome service.

The vet was very caring . My chihuahua was very sick . He gave her antibiotic and anti inflammation shots and that night she improved, next day eating again. Now she is back to normal. On Tuesday we had to say goodbye to our Beautiful Ozzy. He had been with us for nearly 16 years and will be missed eveyday. Our 13 year old Moxy was in a lot of pain and sadly we realised she was reaching her limit, so my family and I made the extremely hard decision to put her to sleep. Dr Beshoy was very patient, sympathetic and kind. He helped us with our decision and the process was very gentle.
