My Beautiful dog Flokky was tragically hit and literally run over by a car. A bystander and Good Samaritan called Peninsula Vet Emergency Centre and drove Flokky and I to the Peninsula Vet Emergency Clinic. I didn't have $1000's of dollars available, and he didn't receive any x-rays. You will only get the care that you can pay for here though( very expensive), and literally nothing more, and they only have VetCare loan service(18% interest rate). I am still happy though, as without their after hours service, Flokky would have certainly passed away from his Terrible injuries, if he hadn't been stabilised overnight, a special thanks to the nurse who was so lovely to Flokky . In the morning they referred us to Lort Smith Animal Hospital. I was so distressed and His injuries were absolutely Terrible, he has a broken leg, a fractured hip, and a ruptured bladder, as well as a damaged lung. It very Important and comforting to know that there is an after hours emergency service available. I am so Very Grateful to all the nurses, vets, and reception staff for the Absolutely Amazing service that I and my dog Flokky the American Staffy received and the ongoing care provided when we attended Lort Smith Animal Hospital. I was greeted by caring and friendly staff upon arrival, the nurses bought out a trolley and helped me get him inside, and he went straight in to receive care. The vet Pheobe was Amazing and explained every thing clearly to me, as was Jonathan, and the reception staff were Awesome, considering the extremely distressing situation, I felt that my Beloved pet was in the Best hands he could possibly be in, and the caring and empathetic staff made me feel 1000 times better. They helped me to organise a payment plan, which also was of great comfort, as I was very stressed, and they explained everything clearly. I think the vets, nurses and reception staff are all Super Heroes, and I Truly feel that my Boy Flokky is getting the Very Best care available. Thank you All so much. I will Definitely be making donations in the future, and I look forward to coming to visit with Flokky, and Thanking every staff member who helped Flokky, my Mother and I in one of the most stressful situations imaginable. He is going into surgery tomorrow morning, and I feel that there is no better organisation in the vetinary field than Lort Smith Animal Hospital. I don't know what Flokky, my Mother and I would have done without them. They are Angels and Super Heroes, and I can't ever Thank them enough for helping us in our time of Great distress. I have full confidence in the Totally Awesome, Caring and Hard Working staff at Lort Smith Animal Hospital. My Flokky boy isn't out of the woods yet, he has a huge battle ahead to recuperate after his extensive surgery, but I feel that if any organisation can save my Beloved Flokky, it is Lort Smith Animal Hospital, they are the Best and all the staff I interacted with Deserve a medal️!!!!! I will keep everyone updated as to His recovery, which isn't going to be easy, but Flokky is worth the effort!!!

It’s never nice experiencing an injury or emergency in relation to your pet, especially after hours on a Sunday!! Our labrador Hollie had sustained an accidental injury from stepping on a piece of glass while out for our daily walk that required surgery and we were really happy with the care we received. The staff were very professional and caring, everything was thoroughly explained including the expected wait times, options for treatment and possible outcomes. We were very happy with the care we received and wouldn’t hesitate to go back in future (although hopefully we don’t have to!!) Everything was straightforward and the “real” emergency visits were prioritised and they didn’t have to wait at all, which i found comforting should we ever have a life threatening emergency that they would be able to prioritise quickly. We didn’t mind waiting, the facilities are extremely clean, comfortable and the staff were very welcoming. Thank you for your help!

We took our beautiful Cairn Terrier Athol to your clinic after visiting our local vet who didn’t have the equipment to accurately diagnose his condition and we are so happy we did. After performing surgery and taking biopsies of his intestines etc,we received the fantastic news that cancer was not detected and his condition is treatable with medication and a change in diet. So after an extremely stressful and sleepless few days we feel so relieved and happy to know that we will have our boy with us for a while yet. We cannot thank the surgeon who operated on Athol enough and are pleased to say he is getting stronger by the day and is almost back to his old self. As soon as we found out our boy was going to need surgery we knew we were in good hands with Alasdair. We had only relocated to the Mornington Peninsula a week ago when our cat had an accident at 11.30pm on a Saturday night. We panicked and didn't know where to turn, I Googled and up came Peninsula Vet Emergency Hospital 24/7. I called and was greeted by a friendly receptionist who said we could bring our cat down straight away. The vet accessed our cat, and the decision was made to admit him. We were told we could call anytime during the night to see how he was going. This we did, always greeted by friendly staff. The vet phoned us in the morning after X-Rays had been taken to inform us of the outcome. Lucky for us we were able to bring him home on Sunday night. We highly recommend the Peninsula Vet Emergency Hospital.

I came to the Peninsula for the weekend and unfortunately my dog was unwell. I found the Peninsula Vet Emergency Hospital to be friendly, thorough and attentive through her care which included an overnight stay. I’ve experience a number of different hospitals as a dog owner and this one was impressive. They managed triage quickly, due to the wait they took my dog and called me when she was being seen, they provided updates along the way and on pickup they provided a detailed treatment plan. I found the entire experience reassuring and ultimately my dog is on the mend!! Thankyou to the entire team!!

Peninsula Vet Care Emergency and Referral clinic were so warm, friendly and understanding of Lucy. Being a loving hyperactive Bull Terrier she can be very boisterous. They cared for her like she was their own and kept me updated on her progress before and after her surgery and overnight stay. They sent her home with lots of pain management and didn’t try to over charge me unnecessarily. Chris -Lucy’s vet explained everything to me in great detail so that we felt like we made a well informed decision in get treatment options. I’m forever grateful of the care they’ve given Lucy.

We had an early morning (4am) rush to the Emergency Hospital for my best friends Furbaby this past Saturday. Unfortunately, she was in congestive heart failure and there was really only one option. We've, both, been going to Peninsula Vet Care (Dromana) for years now and knew we were in the best of hands at Mornington. During one of the worst moments of our lives there was nowhere we'd rather have been. Their love, care, respect and empathy is unwavering and everything was handled as perfectly as possible during such an incredibly painful time. Thank You for being so amazing.

Such a amazing emergency veterinary team . With a full team approach from the receptionist on the phone and then face to face with my friends acutely Ill pet ,to the nurses that were empathetic and supportive and very professional. The attending veterinarian was simply amazing, assessing and diagnosing quickly and compassionately the pet’s condition. She was clear in her discussion and every aspect was handled professionally but compassionately. Full respect for the team. Thank you for making such a terrible situation, bearable.

Highly recommend this vet. Unfortunately had to wait a few hours which was completely understandable, but the staff were so amazing and constantly checking on myself and my dog (Barkly). He got the exact care he needed. The vet nurse Audrey was the most incredible vet nurse, so caring and made my very nervous dog feel so comfortable. I had to take my 10 month old Blue Heeler after she auffered a head injury and had a seizure. From the receptionist to the nurses and vet i had the best experience. My pup was so well cared for. She had to stay overnight and i received an update from the vet. I didnt read the reviews for here until i got home and i was so relieved that she was in the best hands. The price was very reasonable for the care my pup received. I highly recommend this vets for any emergency with your animals.

Our family cat had to pay a visit to the peninsula vet after fracturing her front leg. Great place, very inviting and customer service was fantastic, found the whole experience great vet Chris looked after the surgery we were well informed and explained things well costly break for the pocket, but love our cat and she is only 2 so glad we went ahead. Thank you to all the staff for making things so comfortable for our baby girl Leelo who is recovering well

Absolutely amazing! We honestly didnt even realise they was here but now we know we definitely wouldnt be going anywhere else! They was beyond brilliant and looked after our little boy with such care and professionalism, we was all so scared taking him there but they looked after us and explained everything to us and ultimately got him better so we hoenstly can't thank them enough. Emergency situation with very sad outcome. Staff were caring and understanding and really took the time to explain everything to me. No question was too much and at no point was I made to feel like they had more important things to do. Results from testing were not what I wanted to hear but they were delivered with much compassion and empathy. Many thanks for helping me understand so I can make the difficult decision when the time is right.

After a very worrying health emergency with our gorgeous Barney we contacted Penvet and we were immediately fitted in. Our gorgeous boy was seen quickly and after thorough testing with two very emotional owners in tow declared fit enough to take home with medication. The team are courteous, compassionate and knowledgeable. So glad we have a wonderful facility with great staff so close to home. We highly recommend them.

The reception, nurses, and vets are wonderful. The made me and my diabetic fur baby, feel welcome. The treatment and reasons were all explained so that I understood exactly what was done, why it was done and how to continue what was needed when we went home. I was told repeatedly if I was worried about anything I could give them a call because they are a 24 hour Vet Emergency clinic. I highly recommend this clinic.

The two times I've unfortunately had to attend this clinic, my pet was seen promptly and treated with the utmost care. I've been to the next closest emergency vet and while I am grateful to them for keeping my pet alive, I also know (though consultation with other vets) that I was significantly overcharged. I can honestly say, I've never experienced that at PenVet and all the vets and staff are incredible.

Our experience at Peninsula Vet Emergency hospital was really positive. Despite having an unwell dog the process of surgery was very well explained and undertaken with great care. We felt confident throughout the process knowing that our dog was given the greatest possible care. Dr Arthur House is a brilliant surgeon and I would highly recommend his services if your pet requires a specialist surgeon.

Nice and clean practice, wonderful and professional staff and our dog was very well looked after. We had to leave her their while we waited for the X-ray and the staff rang during the day to keep us updated. Such a caring place when your need all the care you can get. I have great confidence in the vets, they really made sure our dog was OK after a fall. Can highly recommend this practice.

Couldn’t recommend highly enough. The staff throughout, were friendly, approachable, helpful and caring towards our dog. Although there was a wait, they kept our pet snd we waited at home, so our dog was safe and looked after whilst he waited. Were amazingly quick to carry out tests and investigations, with payment required on the same day: we were asked to contact the hospital a couple of weeks after the trial drugs were provided to assess the follow up, and what would be required. Well several phone calls later, not one of them returned. We still don't know if our pooch is cured or not. Going back to the local Vet.

I was very thankful for the support they provided my dog while she was quite unwell. My only issue was the waiting times for updates, if I didn't call I felt like I was never going to hear from them. I get that it is busy there but as a paying customer I just felt that they were too busy and my dog had to wait because of that. Again, I am thankful for the care provided though.

Sadly our gorgeous healthy 9 year old dog Sophie became acutely ill with anaemia. I was referred to this hospital to find the cause , sadly after over $5000 for 30 hrs care and no cause found our dog Sophie passed away. I could go into much more depth with my review but keeping it short, we are incredibly disappointed with our experience here and found it hugely overpriced.

My cat Leo, was referred here by my local Vet and I cannot speak more highly of the professional and capable team at Peninsula Vet Emergency & Referral Hospital. I have been kept up-to-date at all times with how Leo is progressing and have every confidence and trust that Leo is being very well cared for. I would not hesitate to recommend the hospital.

I didn’t call ahead but rushed in with my sick dog. A nurse came straight away to check his vitals and we were seen promptly. The veterinarian was lovely and very good with Boofa. He was treated correctly and had surgery at his normal vet the following day. They said that had he not had the treatment here he would have died. That speaks for itself.

So pleased with the fantastic and caring service we received from the staff when our dog was unwell for the first time out of regular hours. They were caring, thorough, communicated everything very well and followed up with a full report to our regular vet the following morning to ensure great continuity of care. Highly recommended. Had my dachshund in for a surgery. Great communication, Chris took the time to talk us through all our options and the procedure. Looked after my little man and were so thorough in the aftercare & ensuring I was comfortable and understood what was required for him at home. A stressful situation made so much easier due to the care we received.

Our very loved West Highland White Terrier required knee surgery. We received great service, were kept informed and our beautiful Hamish received excellent care. When we collected him after 48 hours, despite the surgery being major, he was calm and comfortable. This is the standard you want when you entrust your family members to others.

Had such a good experience bringing my cat in for an emergency weekend visit (as good as that experience can be at any rate). Everyone I interacted with was warm patient, and caring, and took the time to ensure I understood what was going on. It made me feel much less worried about having to take her in for surgery later this week.

The team were amazing during our two emergency visits. The vets we primarily dealt with, James & Rachael were so caring and gentle with myself and Edith. Rachael and the vet nurses showed so much kindness and empathy when Edith had to be euthanised and I am go grateful she had such gentle care in her final moments.

From first experience there appears to be some extremely dedicated and highly skilled vets/staff at this centre. Very happy with how our pup was treated and we were kept up to date during a very stressful time. It's certainly reassuring to know a facility exists like this within reasonable distance of our home.

Arrived at 3am with our unwell greyhound. The service was everything we'd hoped for. We had called to let them know we'd be coming in and they sent a new patient form via text message for us to fill out on the way. Thank you to the team for being so friendly and helpful, even at 3am!

I feel so lucky to have an after-hours service like this. When you are really worried about a pet, you want the best help and Peninsula Vet Emergency is the place to go. My dog (and previous dogs) have always received the very best care here .. both after hours and during the day.

Arrived at Midnight and my pet was attended to immediately. I felt that they put my pet's well being and comfort before profit which lately is hard to find. They kept my pet there for 3 days, looked after him well and I felt that the cost was reasonable. Would highly recommend.

We had 2 of our dogs admitted with liver toxicity. The staff were very caring with both our dogs and us. It was a very emotional time as one of our dogs passing away. We were impressed with the professionalism and expertise shown. The care was not cheap but well worth every $.

Had to rush our bulldog to emergency as she had swelling of her abdomen and was not eating or drinking. From the reception and vets I could not fault the compassion my dog and myself received. It was not a good outcome but the service we we're provided was outstanding.

Very friendly and very helpful when our dog was a little sneaky and ate some chocolate. They were able to help us out quite late at night, so it was more expensive than normal, but I think the price is justified. Hank the staffy was very pleased with the vets work. :)
