*If you’re on ODSP, STAY AWAY!* Maybe they’re amazing when being overpaid, but the discriminatory practices here by one of the dentists (Dr Illias I believe) is appalling. I could not be happier to not have a dentist as opposed to going here. After a week of emails with reception about accept ODSP patients, they made an “exception”. Fast forward to my appointment: I arrive and they ask for insurance other than ODSP when this was discussed, the receptionist does not tell the dentist, the dentist looks at my insurance after my teeth examining (I had “8 cavities and the start of gum disease”, went for a second opinion and had two cavities and no other issues) refuses to do my dental work due to “being paid less from ODSP Rate Maximums” directly to my face with pure distain towards me. It was rude and belittling. The dental hygienist did some work on my teeth as a cleaning (to be nice, he was a nice man who felt bad for what he just saw happen to me). Help your community, not everything is about making top dollar off everyone. The owner will likely respond to this disagreeing while noting that they reached a maximum of ODSP patients, even though the process felt intentionally financially predatory. If so, I can post the whole email thread of the interaction with the office if they claim I was not a patient.

Entering the door of Permasmile Dentistry@Slater, I wouldn’t even think it will happen but happened. I was on a business trip to Ottawa when I came across the Permasmile Dentistry. At the same time I was meeting with dentists in the GTA but non of them wanted to deal with my dental problem. Well… that wasn’t the case with Dr. Ilias Dzajkovski. He was confident with his many years of experience, professionalism and knowledge that he could solve my problem, and bring back my smile. I didn't hesitate a bit and made the right decision to become a new patient of Dr. Dzajkovski. The entire staff at Permasmile Dentistry is very helpful and professional, that's why I decided, even though it's not close, to travel from Toronto to Ottawa for my dental work to be done. Permasmile Dentistry is very clean place, and equipped with the latest technology of instruments and devices used in dentistry. They also cooperate with high-quality dental laboratories, which also apply the latest technology in dentistry. Dr. Ilias Dzajkovski and entire staff are highly recommended.

Worst experience I have ever had, the dentist was rude and had no chair-side manner at all. She calls her practice PermaSmile and she never cracked a smile the whole time I was in her chair. I finally walked out and will never return and I certainly don’t recommend anyone else to either. Thank you for your follow up, you are certainly not being honest about what happened. I arrived and a lovely lady greeted me and gave me several x-rays and we had a nice chat. You entered the room, totally unprofessional and rude (as if you were doing me a favor). I got out of the chair and told you that I would not be treated like this and you could also cancel my Husbands upcoming first appointment. I have had the same dentist Dr. Walker (in the World Exchange Plaza) for many years and I have been very happy with his services. The only reason I was thinking about changing Dentist was for convenience. I am back with Dr. Walker who treats his patients with total respect and I am very happy.

So my husband’s teeth were extremely clean and dr fadi was surprised how clean they were but Dr ilias insisted and wanted to do cleaning in between my husband’s molar teeth which is impossible to reach because my husband’s teeth are so tightly together and whether he needed or not Dr ilias insisted to use all the insurance money and once the insurance renews in new year he wanted to use it all again. That’s should’ve been a Red Flag right there. So years later when we went to a different dentist they explained that the work permasmile did was unnecessary and only to charge extra money but not only that the work they did ruined my husband’s teeth coz the cleaning they did between molar teeth they left a hole and which years later got cavity. Ive also noticed that most five star reviews here are by greek or Eastern European origin and the owners and dr are greek too. So that’s suspicious. So now years

Good morning to all of the Permasmile team. This morning I woke up with a great smile...finally. I've spent the last year and a half, almost, working towards this and finally last evening Dr. Dzajkovski cemented the final crown. I just want to say thank you to everyone. Dr. Dzajkovski was very thorough and patient and his assistant, Kayla, was equally professional and kind (you guys rock). I'm sure you are all aware that going to the dentist is rarely the highlight of someone's day but your team has nevertheless always made it a pleasant experience. A special thanks to Patricia and Heather for the smile when I walk in the door, to Fadi for the great job and conversation during my cleanings and to everyone else that I've had the pleasure of dealing with at the clinic. I had perfect and healthy teeth when I went to this clinic for a check up and they told me I need 9 fillings. I became suspicious at the time but was too busy and didnt go for a second opinion. I filled 6 teeth until my insurance ran out for the year. Also in my last visit, the doctor seemed too busy or in rush and drilled my tooth while it was half-frozen. I told him that its not fully frozen and Im in pain but he didnt care enough to wait for 10 more minutes and he kept drilling. After that awful visit I decided to stop going to PermaSmile. So I went to another place with very high rating in Ottawa and got two other dentists opinions and they both told me my teeth are perfectly fine and in very good health and there's no need to fill them . To PermaSmile, patients are only $$ and nothing else.

I was beyond happy with the service I received at PermaSmile in Ottawa today. I had Maja doing a filling on one of my teeth. She explained what she was doing, made me feel comfortable and had steady hands. This gave me a very good experience especially since I get anxiety around white coats. I also had my cleaning done here is well. I cant recommend them enough especially if you are a student like me. They took Algonquin College benefits at 100% and offered a student discount! Strongly recommend trying here if you are using the benefits from your school.

This dental office is by far the best in Ottawa. They not only do excellent regular dental work but they also do exceptional esthetics work. I had two crowns done here and people can't believe how beautiful they look. The first crowns did not look the way I wanted them to, so permasmile had new ones made free of cost. The dentists are also very well connect and know the best experts in town (endodontist and dental crown lab for example). I've had 4 other dentists in my life and these guys are top notch.

Wanted to add my 2 cents. I came here because of the reviews I read here and I agree with most here. Fadi is truly the best hygienist I've ever had. He didn't preach to me or lecture. I never felt like he was selling anything. He genuinely cares about my mouth. He explained everything in terms I can understand. The dentist (Dr. Maya?) seems nice too. I think she recently took over the practice. She only did my check up for now but all in all a pleasant experience.

Dr. Ilias is the best dentist I have ever had. He is so knowledgeable and patient; he takes the time to make sure you are comfortable and explains everything to you thoroughly. He is so gentle, I don't even feel the needle when being frozen, I could easily fall asleep in his chair. If you are looking for a dentist, you'll find no better, and his staff is superb to boot. They even billed my insurance directly, it was so easy. Highly recommended!!

I have been with Doctor Maja for about 10 years now, and both her and her husband are fabulous dentists as well as fabulous people. From Diane and others at front, to the assistants and hygenists, they become your friends, not just a patient kind of thing. Worried about needles? Maja has the steadiest hands and you wont feel a thing, honest :) So highly recommended to anyone requiring any sort of dental need. Leonard K. Collins.

dr fadi is nice and he told me my teeth were extremely clean and I take good care of them but dr ilias insisted to do my cavaties which I didn't need and he really f**ked up my teeth and now I can't chew anything hard, he just wanted to charge me more money or else I didn't need it and he's like oh if your teeth hurt let me know like wtf you just f**ked up my real teeth n your asking me to let you know

I can compare this clinic to 3 other places I have been before. I can say that this is the best so far. The staff is friendly, receptionist, assistant and a doctor himself. My treating doctor was Dr. Dzajkovski. He was so gentle, I barely felt any pressure. Their boring equipment is also comparatively quiet. And anastesia really works. I felt nothing. I highly recommend them!

I recently had a wisdom tooth removed from PermaSmile on Slater. Overall, my experience at the clinic was very good. The dentist, hygienist, and receptionist were very professional and kind. I recovered well and I had no issues at all. I believe the staff genuinely care about their clients. I highly recommend this dental clinic.

I went to the 300 Slater location. I had the best dental experience there ever and I have been to many different Dentists in my 50 years. The front desk staff and the Hygienist and Dental Assistant were also Amazing. I went in very uncomfortable and nervous and came out extremely happy and comfortable. Highly recommended.

Incredibly nice place right in the heart of downtown. Amazing service, the receptionist is extremely nice. They did a full dental profile on me for my 1st visit and the hygienist was amazing and gave me the best cleaning I've ever had. They billed my insurance directly without a hassle. When I arrived I met with the secretary and mid conversation, the dentist DR MAYA told me: I should work on my timing and if I’m late again I will have to pay a fee and will not be served any more at Permasmile. I find that Dr. Maja Dimitrovska takes time to explain all the procedures. She explains all the pros and cons of the treatment so that I can make independent decisions. Her staff is also accommodating. My family is also delighted with her, which is why we have been with her for 15 years.

Great service. Knowledgeable staff. I don't feel that I have been ripped off here. The dental hygienist appears to sincerely care about improving my dental health. I would recommend this place to anyone for cleaning. As for dental work I feel that there could be better places out there.

Both my husband and I have had nothing but great experience with doctor Dzajkovski. Always on time, always caring and with great followup. He managed to save my canine after my previous doctor suggested extraction. I haven't looked back. The staff are very pleasant and professional.

It had been over 5 years since my last dentist appointment. Fadi spent over an hour with me explaining everything he was doing and what I could expect from my follow up appointments. Can't beat being able to walk out without paying a cent! Yay for direct billing!!

This dental office was recommended by a friend of mine and I went for a cleaning and 2 cavities repair. Very satisfied with both procedures. Dr. Maja was very patient and went through the whole procedure with me. Excellent cleaning too. I highly recommend.
