Let's be honest, this station needs flattening. It has a strange little doorway off the street that is always flanked by resident beggars. There's a little concrete shelter to help you get out of the rain and into the puddles... and they're always suspiciously yellow! Given its small size, the lack of financial investment is a travesty, it wouldn't take much. On the plus side, the overgrown banks are home to some lovely birds.
Operator in office seemed upset I disturbed him to purchase a ticket. Waiting area has flies buzzing around, perhaps due to bins being full or cans of liquid left lying on floor. Clear information board and disabled access to both sides as a positive. Some areas to shelter if its raining. Station recently received a new lick of paint.
The station is a million times better than it used to be now that it is an actual station. With the work done at One Stop it all links up nicely and feels better walking there than it used to. The staff in the station are friendly, and really helpful.
A great modern train station with decent services and proper good location. Only real disappointment is that the announcements are voiced by a rather robotic Amy rather than the traditional, typically British and very logical Anne...
Be careful - lots of money beggars and potential pickpockets in this area. Sick on the pavement and plenty of rubbish. Bad place
Good University quarter with OneStop near the accomodation center. Calm place, not far from the city center.
This station has all the aesthetic charm of a brick being stapled to a fire extinguisher; except taller.
Lovely open space. Perry Barr and the City of Birmingham has done a massive change of development plans
Nice area and one stop shopping centre a 3 minute walk from the station, you cannot go wrong
Not much to tell you really, got off the train, which was on time, taxi rank outside.
Not a good experience, ticket operator seems bored and is very unhelpful.
All marked up which made my journey so much easier
Not many space to be cover if big rain.
