DISCLAIMER: this is long and detailed...also, I work with lots of businesses as I am a marketing agent and owner of a marketing agency...so, I know customer relationships are important. And I want to say I am not picky, but this place rubbed me the wrong way. First off, the demeanors of employees greatly varied, the woman helping me with fish was delightful, the man helping her bag the fish completely ignored everything she said or any questions I asked, the girl who checked me out at the check out line was very nice. There was a moment when no one was around to help this couple and they were waiting for about 10 minutes and were about to leave. I noticed they needed help with snakes, so I took it upon myself to help them. I have been keeping animals in general, but mostly fish and snakes for many years and have never had any issues with snakes amd have never had one get sick or die and ive almost never had a fish die, so I'd like to think I know what I am talking about. The couple asked what basics they need... I replied with heating component, proper tank, large shallow dish, hidey rock, snake safe substrate and obviously they would need to establish a proper feeding schedule and find the best foods to feed them (I say this because some people prefer live food and some prefer frozen) I recommended live food. Establishing a proper feeding schedule insures your snake wont become aggressive because it expects food every week but you change it up. Anyway, the guy finally came and helped them get the snake out of the tank to purchase, the couple wanted to get all the things I suggested but the guy said they only needed a tank, a bowl, and they could use mulch from home depot to save money....mulch!! That's so foolish and dangerous. The couple seemed puzzled and I'm pretty sure that guy was just being lazy, but he costed the store money by telling this couple they didnt need that stuff, and probably killed or injured their snake by giving poor care instructions. On top of all of that, I purchased 6 guppies and couldn't really see them all in the bag but they looked ok, I got them home and quarantined them, upon further inspection I found that all 6 had ick and fin rot!!!! They all died within a week and that's never happened to me before. Their fin rot was so bad they could barely swim. I live about a half hour from them so returning the fish for a refund was more of a hassle than just losing the money. I was so disappointed... this place had so many people working in it but so many people were waiting forever to be helped. I watched 2 people get tired of waiting and leave. This place is a mess and I am very upset because I love pet supermarket, theres one on st.John's ave and its amazing. But this one was much closer to my house and it's a let down. I will say they have amazing prices on almost everything, but quality of fish and advice is less than desirable.

If I could give a zero to this store I would!! My dog passed on yesterday and I went in to take back all unopened food and Frontline with receipts! I explained this to the Assistant Manager, (Kristie), and she was very insensitive and never said first of all I'm sorry for you loss!! Then she had the nerve to refund in credit to use in the store all but two items because she said I didn't have the receipt!! Da!! She refunded the same products with the other receipts, so why skip two of the same food, again Unopened!! I have been buying from Pet Supermarket for 16 years and I loss my buddy and friend and you are sweating two little cups of food!! She knew it was their product which I had all receipts for!! Really is the the kind of business you give a person that's been shopping there for 16 years!! And my biggest complaint was the not caring about my dog!! So insensitive and rude!! I'm shopping on Amazon for the same products and more and I will still get more rewards than they offer!!

I love this location to the point I'll drive all the way to it after a day at the park with my doggy even if it's not particularly close. The staff here is top notch between Kayla who always has a smile and the best hair and Kristen who always accommodates, I went in on a busier day and every tub was taken and the wait was unusually long so they gave me a free bath coupon for my wait. Even though I wasn't going to get my pup a Halloween costume this year the other gentlemen with glasses let me know they were on sale which I was kinda shocked they still had costumes and they were discounted that much (I worked at Target close to there and we never had anything after a week which was super annoying so it was also amazing to see that medium dog gear stays in stock) between the whole staff, the cleanliness of the store and the selection I've never enjoyed a pet store more, and there's a Starbucks in the same parking lot for pup cups and everyone should know that!

Wow so impressed! Half the size of the larger chain pet stores with a much better selection. How is that possible? A variety of unusual pets for sale you won’t see at those big chains either. And they all seemed well taken care of. The only downside would be for the finches the cages seemed a little smaller than ideal. But they were all happily playing, taking turns on the swing and all looked very healthy. I also saw Peacock Gudgeons for sale, which is an unusual fish to find. So they definitely have a decent variety in the fish department too. Store is clean and well-organized and I was able to quickly find the Yeowww catnip balls I was looking for, along with an unusual cat bed that’s electrostatically charged. Will definitely be returning in the future— I had no idea Zebra Finches made such cute noises and I will be doing some research on them as pets now!

Besides the good customer service and good selection of pet foods and necessities, at the Collins rd location, they also have a raised "self serve dog" wash station. The cost is ONLY $10.00! They supply the shampoo, (or bring your own), clean towels, treats, hot and cold water and a hose spray/nozzle for a selection of different sprays. I Absolutely loved giving my large dog a bath!! The "tub" on the left was large enough for my lab/hound mix of 76 lbs. There are some steps the dog has to walk up to get into the tub, so I just walked up first, and showed him what to do! So thankful for this much needed service. And so easy on the dog and our backs! All locations should invest in their community in this way. It truly is a community service to charge a low fee for dogs who constantly need washing. Thank you so much!! <3

This is normally my favorite pet store. I go in quit often I'm even on a first name basis with most of the people that work their. Well a few weeks ago I went in to get some supplies, And I stopped to look at the reptiles and they didnt have any water!!! I brought it up to the girl with the short bown hair that always likes to give me attitude. I wont drop names but the manager would know. She told me she just filled the bowls this am and the water must have evaporated!!! What? I have my water bowls under a che at home and the water doesnt evaporate in 3 hrs time. And she just walked away. Im veryy irritated by the lack of care she has for these animals

Update, I will up one star for the great customer service. They offer to carry heavy items for you. Despite their strict return policy, they are willing to work with you to find good replacement items. The store associates are pretty knowledgeable. Their items are on the pricy side, but they do price match, which is good. I was properly greeted by the cashier each time. But the manager sure doesn’t like to smile when you have to return items. I get that. And please make sure you check the price tag and scanned price. Because the scanned price gets higher than the price tag price. You should double check at the register.

I have been looking for a yellow parakeet for some time now. I went into Pet Supermarket and Chris, approached me and asked if he could help me. I told him I was looking for a yellow parakeet female. After a short conversation, he took my number. Too my surprise he called me about three days later and informed me they had a Yellow female. Chris was pleasant and gave me some good advice as how to care for Parakeet. He signed me up for a VIP membership which will save me money in the future. Good service is hard to find these days, this was great service, Thank you Chris.

Great pet store with knowledgeable and friendly staff. The place is always kept clean, and for the most part they are kept well stocked. I go here often for some of the dietary requirements for my reptiles and they have gone above and beyond to see to it that I have what I need. Even going so far as to place bulk orders for feeder crickets when I needed it. They also price match as long as you can show them the competitors prices. Would definitely recommend this shop to anyone needing supplies for their animals.

Today, I visited Pet Supermarket (Store 369) looking for new Fish to add to my aquarium. I was greeted by Andrew. He was not only pleasant and friendly; but he was also extremely knowledgeable. He provided suggestions that were both helpful and considerate. I know I wore him out with the "Thank-You's". we where happy to visit a new place to get fresh food for our birds, but unfortunately the bag was full of bugs, coming out of the bag going everywhere what means it was so old and stored in bad place , when we told the guy on cashier, he looughed and said : so funny and we where wondering where are all the bugs come from! he took the bag and bring it front . i hope they checked all bags around it, and get rid of bugs from the shop. it happened January 23rd, 2019 at 8pm

Great experience! Went in there for an island for a turtle. The young lady, took us straight to it. I grimaced at the price and the lady looked at me and said let's do a price comparison online... She found it cheaper and said, "will this work?" Pointing at the price. Uh... Yeah! She was so kind and saved me money. I went ahead and picked up a few more things. That! Ladies and gentleman is what customer service is. Oh yeah, that's my store now.

My wife and our son just moved here from up north and we absolutely love this location. The customer service was absolutely phenomenal. I have to say Chance gives world class customer service. And great advice on my new koi pond that I just had to have since moving to Florida, our son is now contemplating on majoring in marine biology when he goes to college thanks to Chance do to being so passionate and knowledgeable, will definitely be back !

This place is great. All of the staff are so helpful, they have a rewards program, they price match, and a lot of times you can find the pet food you need for cheaper than Walmart has it. Every time I've gone in they have had different fish and animals. They seem to have an assortment of everything that you need for a pet, and better service than Petsmart. This is my new go-to pet store for everything I need for my fur babies.

Too my baby to go on a shopping adventure. My Puddin loved it. Although she walked around the store for 30 mins maybe a bit longer she made out. She got her first set of pajamas. Two different kinds of her favorite Scooby snacks. Lots of attention from other shopper's and the staff. All in all I would have to say a successful shopping adventure. Checked off the list. Will updated later with pictures of her in her pajamas.

First time visiting Pet Super Market & we really enjoyed it the minute we walked in. We were greeted by Julianna and she asked what we were looking for, she was very knowledgeable of everything in the store. She answered all our questions (we are first time pet owners). I loved the store, loved the employees! They were so nice and sweet. They had so many great brands, sales, and treats for our German Shepard. Thank you!

The employee Chris helped me out with my new fur baby. My husband and I went in looking for a pet for our kids and we ended up getting a baby ferret. He helped us get everything we needed for him. Very friendly and helpful. He even played with the kids helping keep them calm while we checked out. Definitely will be back again. Thank you for your help Chris. You made our experience amazing. Need more people like this!

I was told 1 price and when I got there it was more.Told them I could find it for a cheaper price they would honor it which I did on Amazon but since its thur a 2nd purchase so they didn't honor it.I should of cancelled it and just wait and got it on Amazon. But I didn't.I won't be there to get my fish at all I will find somewhere else for my fish and their supplies.

Initial experience buying a fish was pleasant. Fish died 12 hours later and unfortunately my wife flushed him. Went to the store and was told without a receipt, water sample and dead fish they couldn't help me. Emailed customer service and was told the same thing. Not worth getting upset over $3 but I'm not going back. Too many other reputable pet stores nearby.

Can’t rave enough about our experience! We went there in search of a replacement fish for my son. We had a fish he won at the fair die. Christopher was awesome! He was patient and answered all my questions about Beta fish. He showed us everything we needed to get started and to make our new guy live in a thriving environment. My son was happy and so was I!

We get all of our guinea and snake supplies here. They are always nice. I have only been there once and had a cashier with poor attitude and that cashier was never seen again. We love this store and we are signed up for the perks. They love your babies, maybe not as much as you do but it shows that the workers are animal lovers

Called and asked if they had baby crickets that they would sell me, was told yes. Get to the store and one person acted as if they couldn't see the over dozen baby crickets in the container, then finally admitted "these are for OUR animals." Guess your animals are more important than making sales or customer service.

Absolute dldelight I apologize I can't remember his name but he is tall gentleman who helped my daughter with questions about owning a snake. Extremely knowledgeable and she held a snake and me as well for the first time In comfort thanks to him. We will be back to make that birthday purchase. THANK YOU …

The staff is great ! We have adopted 3 cats from this location. The Cats that are there for adoption are saved from shelters where they would have been euthanize after only a week. I think that this is great that someone in there organization cares enough to go out and save the cats from certain Doom.....

The gentleman Chris helped me with my fish problem and seemed very knowledgeable and super friendly. I will definitely come back to him if I ever have anymore fish related problems. From what I can see he is a very very passionate young man when it comes to his job. EXCELLENT customer service skills.

I visit this store often for cat food and supplies. I am always thoroughly pleased with the courteous and knowledgeable staff. A special shout-out to Andrew, he is a constant professional and has a great work ethic. To the store’s management: do everything possible to keep Andrew there.

Never ever shopping here again you will be watched and followed around the store. When I needed assistance no one was around when I was looking at the Halloween costumes before walking out the door I was harassed (SWB) if my skin color was white I’m sure I would not have been targeted

On Monday 6/27 the employee Chance, helped me out. He has excellent customer service, and was eager to help! it's rare that you see an employee go above and beyond these days and Chance did exactly that!!! Thank you again. I highly recommend pet supermarket for all your pet needs.

I absolutely love this location. The people here are fantastic! Amy and the gentleman that normally works with her are a tremendous help and have great knowledge when it comes to the special needs and concerns of your pet! I travel out of my way just to visit this location.

Workers were great help! Gave information on membership. After a certain amount of bags purchased you get one free, cheaper prices than petco and pet smart! You can also wash your dog for $10 it includes apron shampoo dryer awesome. My new go to spot for my pups food.

Been going to PS for a couple years now. Have bought plenty of fish and fish/dog/cat food, with points toward money off purchases. Adopted our 1 year old kitten for only $20. Everything to love about a pet store. This store specifically has wonderful employees too.

Decent place. I only come in to pick up feeder shrimp. They have plenty of stuff but walmart is in the same center for value. But live stuff, plenty. Birds are great. Lots of pet supplies and foods at reasonable prices. Fresh water aquariums only.

Karla has been the best employee/associate ever. She has a kind heart, me and my husband love her to death. Wouldn’t come in this place if it wasn’t for her. She really treats you like you’re apart of the family. Love you to pieces bruva!!!

The store is small but clean and free of dangers for pets. Dogs on leashes allowed in the store. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Prices are comparable to or slightly higher than competitors but they do run sales. They have a fantastic

today 03/25/21 between 4:10 to 4:30 pm visit the store I was discriminated for being Latino between and there are only 2 sellers, one in the box and the other in the aquarium area I was with another customer wait for 5 minutes and nothing

You can go wash and dry your pup for just $10. Easiest bath ever! You can also get shampoo and conditioner or bring your own and because it's a pet store they have treats that you can buy right there. Super convenient and super affordable!

Went shopping for my bearded dragon not only that I get good prices on crickets and mealworms but also got suggestions on vegetables and healthy alternatives for my beardie as well! atmosphere was laid back and relaxed very clean

They have a reward system, when you spend $100 you get $5 gift card. It is accumulative so you don't have to spend $100 at one time to get the $5 off. I forgot about it, went back for more dog food and had 15 off! That was nice.

Pet Supermarket was great Our first time using the dog bathing area. Love that everything is included(shampoo, towels, dryers and even aprons for the humans). Will recommend Pet Supermarket on Collins Road to everyone

Chris is man, you got any questions about fish tanks and the accessories for them he will walk you through it and make you feel like you have a fish tank farm. Very nice guy and very professional. Highly recommended.

Tanks looked good... no sick fish... only 1 fish dead in all of the tanks. Been a bit since it's been warm every day. Coming to wash the dogs real soon. Love the dog wash station.

I go there to bath the dog and my experiences have been pleasant. However, our bath credits had disappeared and we had to start anew instead of getting the free wash...

Had a good selection of things for cats and dogs, and for the other animals like birds, hamsters and reptiles was in a total of 3 short aisles. Still worth a stop.
