Saturday June 10 is my son's birthday. For two years he has been asking for a bird. He has even done a power point on caring for birds and continues to add to this power point. We went to two stores to look at birds and just were not satisfied with the selection. So we headed to a third store Pet Supermarket off Hodges. Once we opened the door we felt how different this store was from the previous two stores. This store smells clean, looks clean and is organized. We were greeted right away. The parakeets were so beautiful and full of energy compared to the previous ones at the other stores. We had such great help from an employee named Pamela. SHE IS THE BEST!!!! She educated us on parakeets. My husband and I are so so thankful for her. She was able to help us learn between male and female and ages of the birds. She described to use the parts of the parakeet. She even got two of them out so my kids could hold them. She was able to help my husband find food for the birds, cage ect...If it weren't for Pamela I don't know we would have been lost. Kudos to her and the excellent customer service she provided for us. The staff overall was great and helpful as well. Pamela just really went above and beyond for us and eased the anxiety of getting a new pet. Thank you and we will def be back

I'm very excited to be getting my daughter a pair of bunnies. I have no idea what I'm doing, so I stopped in to see what they recommend and see the selection of cages, food and toys. There was one employee there. They didn't say anything to me, except when I was leaving. I'm not going to be yelled at halfway across the store because he didn't want to leave the register. It wasn't angry yelling, and I'm not even sure he was talking to me. I might bring my daughter back to look, but I've done business with pet supermarket sporadically over the years and this was disappointing. Maybe it's just because it's a Saturday and close to closing, but having one person there isn't enough.

The staff are really nice, but they don’t seem to know a whole lot about the fish that they keep in stock. I have recently bought three fish from them with instructions from them and they have all died. Keep in mind I am very good with fish. I had a tank with tiger barbs for 12 years when they were only supposed to live three this is the first time I’ve had a problem with fish dying And of all fish I had bought goldfish which are supposed to be the easiest to maintain. I had a bad feeling when I bought them because all of them had peeling scales. The staff are nice, and the retail is good, but I would not recommend buying animals from here.

I love this store! I came in 2 days ago for advice concerning my betta fish which they have always been beyond helpful about and I fell in love with a sweet little kitty. They were excellent and helping pick out food (at a great cost I might add) and answering any questions I had! Our Lily Bean has become a very sweet and wonderful addition to our family!! I highly recommend adopting a kitty at this store. You get so much included for a low adoption fee. I would gladly adopt from there again! Thank you so much to the wonderful staff at Pet Supermarket Beach and Hodges!

It was shortly before closing, but they still let me come get the food and supplement for my sick animal. They were at a skeleton crew, so there wasn't anyone on the floor available (they were helping another customer) to point me to where the supplement shelf was, but it's well enough organized, that it only took an extra couple of minutes to find everything myself. Staff was friendly. Prices are a little better at this chain, than the others I go to, and they seem to carry more specialty items and a larger variety of snacks for those picky critters.

I came in looking for help with my dog's allergies. His current pills had stopped working entirely. The staff here were very sympathetic and did not judge my dog's bad rashes from his allergies. One staff member went over a variety of options for me and helped me pick out a new pill to try for the next week to see if it would work. I gave my dog one of those pills and his rash is gone this morning after being present for over a month. Thank you Pet Supermarket for caring about my dog and helping me pick the right product to help him.

I have to say I am not really please join the service at this Beach boulevard location near Hodges boulevard. I gave a call to see if they had any angelfish and the best she could do is say now she doesn't have any and has no idea if any of the other stores did. back to Southside boulevard at Deerwood I have to say they are the very very best. I called to Deerwood location and they offered to check their other stores. That's what service is all about and that's what keeps me going back to the Deerwood location.

Good choices for pet food and supplies. Cashed in my manufacturer's coupon for a free 25 lb box of litter! Tried a couple of cans (not literally, just picked it up...lol) of Hills branded food since I have seen some of their commercials lately. I hoped my fuzzy Valentine enjoyed it and he did so I bought some more canned food from Hills at this and another location. All of our animal friends get (and some of those pets came from) Pet Supermarket. Thanks!

This is a great pet supply store. I have been experiencing a lot of problems with flea control for my elderly Great Dane. Their assistant manager was very patient on more than one occasion with me and all my questions even when I thought I had a defective product that it turns out was not defective at all. She made sure I had what I needed. I would recommend this location over any other similar place in the area and I'll continue to go there.

It says that you’re allowed to use Apple Pay but their machines don’t work imagine coming 30 minutes to your nearest pet supermarket and they don’t update their site saying that their Apple Pay is down. It’s kind of ridiculous. And then you’re not even able to enter the card in manually since I didn’t have any of my cards with me. The store is also usually clean but I guess today they were slacking.

Beats Wal-Mart in prices and selection, has discounts for seniors and veterans on select day near end of month. Friendly staff. Has spaces to wash and groom your dogs at, with the supplies, yourself, for a reasonable price. Staff is incredibly helpful, they have stuff for pets other than cats, dogs, and fish. Very clean store. Parking at that section of the shopping center is usually very abundant.

Sat 24 came in at 10:14 2 cashiers young and overweight 1 bl9nd the other back brown hair ..they were so busy to even say good morning bouth behind d counter doin nothin. Not 1 costumer in store i spend 10 min lookin at fish by my self none of them aproach me to ask me? help me!! .my sugestion to management get better pro pet costumer employees on weekends..specialy weekends

Super clean, super cute kitties and bunnies, super helpful managers. The last person who offered to have me hold a snake, which I have never done before. She was very nice about it, finding a very calm snake for me. The manager also helped us with getting fish and ghost shrimp with ease. The fact that they have ghost shrimp is also awesome. Will definitely be back.

They have nice pet collars. Food kinda pricey. Nice cat stands clothes and dog toys. Bit of everything for every pet including reptiles. Cat & dogs Worm medicine and flea stuff you can get at register. Nice customer service pamela and austin. They helped us find what we needed. They have pet fish, rabbits, guinea pigs, birds etc. You can purchase as well.

This place, I cant even describe it. There is not nearly enough stars to describe this place. They are friendly, sometimes letting us hold the animals. They have unique animals every once in awhile. Lovley birds and service. Cheap prices, and i cant describe how amazing this place is. Its my go-to store for my beardies food and they are just wonderful.

Great selection of fish and birds, though their birds are a bit pricey. Great feeder shrimp pricing and unique fish, like leopard puffers. Staff was kind but not too knowledgeable, one of the younger guys tried to say that leopard puffers and green spotted puffers were different fish and had different requirements. Otherwise was a nice environment.

The worker inside (I wish I remembered her name) was super helpful and factual. I'm purchasing a ferret tomorrow and I'm excited! I'll take a picture of the ferret as soon as we bring it home and make it part of our family (I'm calling the ferret an "it" cause Im not sure of the sex yet!)

I enjoy coming here they have everything you need for most pets that you have. And only ten bucks to bring your own animal and they provide you with towels and shampoo bathe your own dog right there in store. I will definitely be taking advantage of that. I will absolutely be coming back.

Absolutely love coming here. The staff is always very humble and attentive. We shop for everything here such as freshwater fish and plants for our aquariums and for our dogs. My new rescue Daisy is pretty skittish but she was very very comfortable in the store and the staff

If you're in need of anything regarding an aquarium, the assistant manager Pamela is definitely the go to! Her customer service is absolutely amazing! She answer my questions and more when I first came to the store! It's become my fave Pet Supermarket to go to now!

Staff is always friendly and helpful although they could be more attentive at times. Lots of fish and plants in stock. Tanks are clean with few snails usually. Great deals on other products like dog food etc.

Doggie wash is amazing! Only ten bucks. They give you towels and all of the other product to bring home as squeaky clean great smelling pup.
