I’ve been shopping at this store longer than I can remember. My experiences have been fine not great not bad. But that’s not what this review is about. This store has has the same hairless guinea pigs for over 6 months. I have been wanting to one ever since I saw them in store, but they were quite expensive. Recently they dropped in price. I held one and the next day decided to go get it. When I went to purchase it there were signs on all the animal cages saying that because of the weather they would not be selling any animals. That confuses me Spence the animals would go from a heated store to a heated car to a heated house. They would be outside less than 30 seconds at most. Okay fine if that their policy okay. When I asked the shift manager if I could purchase it now and when they were willing to let me take it home I could pick it up. Willing to pay totally in full now. She said no. No compromise just no and to come back tomorrow. Well I came back in today and the same sign was up saying they will not be selling animals. When I asked again they said if you purchase an animal we can not hold it. I’m not wanting y’all to hold it. I want to bring it home. I’m frustrated and at a loss. Today I even went to the other location to see if they had a discounted hairless guinea pig. They did not but they did have animals they were willing to sell. No sign with refusal to sell animals. They are not willing to compromise or let me adopt an animal because of weather? This while situations makes no sense. I’m afraid by the time the weather clears the guinea pig I want will be gone.

March 6, 2023 Bought some more dog food for our huskies, as well as treats, and was spending over $100, and had a coupon for 10% off, but Fatima reminded me to check Facebook, as they had $15 off! She did not have to do that, but as a retired person on a fixed income, really appreciated the additional customer service to save me some money! *previous comment below* I was looking for a martingale collar for two of our fosters and PSP had a great variety and many of them were on clearance! But not all of them, so Cedric very patiently helped me sort out the clearance versus the non-clearance and I ended up buying EIGHT of them because you can never have too many martingale collars in a husky rescue. Also, found a really great Kurgo Zipline and it worked great to make sure the second husky was contained safely and didn't try to help me drive....because huskies are notoriously bad drivers. Roxanne is a great manager and always has the stuff I need! Love this store!

This review is regarding the cat supply section of Pet Supplies Plus. This was my first visit into any Pet Supplies store. I only saw one worker but they weren't busy. The aisles are very long and wide. I saw wet cat food brands that I haven't seen elsewhere. They carry both the cat litter and dry cat food I prefer to buy (which aren't common, so I was impressed). They had a lot more cat tree options than I've ever seen at Petco or PetSmart. The prices were good and there were plenty of sales going on during this visit. I signed up for the free rewards program. I noticed they had a small selection of fish and small animals like hamsters. The dog supplies seemed to take up about half the store, but I didn't look at any of the dog stuff. I did see a good selection of cat toys and cat hygiene like wipes, shampoo, nail clippers, etc

I used to frequent this place for the majority of my life here. They have received a lot of money from me over the years but I had a few not so great experiences here, one not too long ago with the guy who is normally there most of the time I'm not sure if he's a manager or not but he is not the friendliest and that's putting it mildly, he actually hung up on me on the phone 1 day when I called and asked about a product. I don't know if he was upset because of something else going on at the time but he needs to be careful how he talks to your customers. The main manager there is a woman who's been there forever! For the most part she's OK but she also has her days don't we all, but the rest of the girls that work there that are just help are only a warm body for the most part.‍♀️

I have to give a shout out to Roxanne Lobinsky Wetzel and Pet Supplies Plus - San Antonio, TX - San Pedro Avenue. Roxanne is always so kind and here and her team always go above and beyond. Today I was there 10 minutes early along with someone else. Most stores leave you standing out front until they open. Not Roxanne, she opened early so we didn’t have to wait out front. They are so amazing, and why I only shop at her store. Having the right team makes all the difference in the world. Roxanne really makes her store the best because of her and her team. The world needs more people like her! Thank you for being so awesome!! ❤️❤️

This store is the best neighborhood pet supply store. The employees are an amazing team that take care of all humans and animals in need. I have been frequenting this store for the last two years and always satisfied with my experience there - be it a quick run inside or a longer shopping trip. They have two large enclosures where there are cats for adoption from a local no-kill cat shelter. Excellent selection of cat treats, toys, food and litter. Small selection of litter boxes, carriers and cat trees. Join their loyalty club for free and get great coupons each weekend!

I recently discovered Pet Supplies Plus in my search for chicken free cat food. My cat has developed an allergy to chicken and I never realized how many cat foods, even the beef, seafood and other proteins, have chicken meal, fat and by-product in them. The entire staff has gone out of their way to help me find alternative products and graciously accepted returns of those my cat wouldn't touch. On top of that the prices are amazing, usually a couple dollars cheaper per product than other stores. I'm glad I found this place.

Mostly very nice with very helpful staff. They are kind enough to even tolerate my 2 70+# rescue dogs who lose all sense of manners due to all the wondrous smells! They don't tear anything up, so some obedience remain. The store has so many brands and types of pet food and care needs. Good place to go for your dog,cats, small animal needs, pet birds but also if you desire to feed wild birds. Good prices and sales often. Plus vet there most Sun afternoon to provide vaccination, microchips, and scripts for heartworm etc.

Knowledgeable and friendly and helpful staff. If they don't have it they offer to order it orhelp you search another local source. I spend at least $200 weekly here for both indoor and outdoor neighborhood colony cats. The ranges from dry and wet foods, treats, toys, litter, and cleaning materials. Yes the colony gets the same food as indoors to supplement their hunting. I couldn't ask for better service and almost always they are completely stocked with what I need. MJ

The young man that helped me grab things for a last minute feeder fish tank purchase AND I was in a rush to get out and get that darn mask off my face was totally sweet to me ... Gathered everything ... Made great suggestions that are working beautifully and carried it all up to the register! I'll catch his name for sure on my next visit!! (Sorry about that ... I bought the glow tank for fun and was cranky about snakes if your boss asks if it was you!)

I had ordered online for store pickup. The problem I experienced was that one item was not available so I purchased a replacement but the charge for the item I did not receive is still a charge on my credit card. Also they had sent a pending charge prior to the final charge . The pending charge of $1. Is now a posted charge on my account. Am waiting to hear how they plan to handle dealing with these problems. So I won't use the online order system again.

This is a pretty nice pet store with decent prices if you have their free membership card. I wish they had better conditions for their beta fish but they are no different than any other pet store I've been to, so I can't complain too much about that. The staff are always friendly and have always helped me when I needed to find something specific. I will continue to use them as my primary pet supply store for all my cat's needs.

This is where I buy all my pet things! I have a guinea pig and my roommate has a cat and hedgehog and they always have the things we need! Also, even if you're not sure you're going to go there that often you should sign up prefered savings card! I've saved a lot of money that way and they send out coupons every now and then that really help out when I need to buy bedding and hay.

I will never go to Petsmart or Petco if I have a Pet Supplies by even if it’s further out. I love the bulk of food you can purchase per pound for the small pets. Prices are always better then anywhere else. The staff is very friendly no matter who you have an encounter with. I see different employees and everyone has amazing customer service and very attentive to the customers.

Very helpful staff. A little pricy but great selection and they seem to always know the answers to my questions when picking out products. They don’t just recommend the most expensive option. They sell this specialty food mix by the pound. Do NOT buy it. I bought some for my hamster and it caused his cage to become infested with grain weevils. Everything else I’ve bought from here has been fine. I’d say just don’t buy anything that isn’t prepackaged. Even most of the animals they sell look really unhealthy, especially the fish.

I just moved from Medina, Oh and needed cat supplies. This store is very clean, well organized, and staff is extremely friendly. This will definitely be my new store! As a side note, the Medina and Brunswick stores redid the floor plan to create a cross aisle through the main ones. It's choppy and awful, please don't do that.

I brought my three dogs for a picture with Santa. They've got a great set up in a private room. It was a cool and calm environment that made the entire process easy breezy. The 3 girls all got in a great shot with Santa. I couldn't be more happy and pleased with how everything turned out. Yeah for PSP and God's Dogs Rescue

I wish I could remember the name of the gentleman to helped me out a few days ago. I'm a first time cat owner (always had dogs) and he gave me some amazing tips and praised me on how I've dealt with my tabbies so far. The rest of the staff is always so warm and welcoming too. Definitely ditching Walmart for this place

They have everything you need for your pet. I have 2 furry kids in house (cats ) AND they have sales on dry and wet food my two kids love. The people are great, always there to help and store is always clean. Try Pet Supplies you will like it also. I also have feral cats outside. Give it a try, you will like it also.

Lots of pet food and treats, but my cat has dietary restrictions so I was only looking at toys and whatnot. Decent number of toys, but not a lot of cat harnesses or leashes. This place has a surprisingly good selection of fish and aquarium supplies, along with the usual selection of big brand and overpriced "organic" dog and cat foods. The help here is not very knowledgeable when it comes to fish. They must have a fish guy, because their tanks look decent, but I've never met him.

The best Pet Supplies Plus in SA. I love the size, the selection and most importantly it is always well stocked and ORGANIZED! You can tell this store really takes pride in the appearance. I’ve never needed help but there are always employees available. I have another PSP close to me- but I drive to this one.

I went to this store today and was helped by a girl named Leah. She was amazingly helpful and had an awesome personality / attitude and made my experience a real pleasure. I have not been to this store before, but if all the employees are as fantastic as Leah was, I will certainly be coming back.

I always like Pet Supplied Plus and this one was clean and well maintained. Would have given 5 stars like usual but the older lady on the checkout (possibly the manager) kept talking down and yelling across the store to her employees. Other than that, a good store with a good selection.

This place is so great! I was switching my cat’s food because I wanted something healthier for her, and they have a big selection of very healthy options (that she loves). Also, their same day delivery went well for me. I wanna get my kitten stuff from here from now on! Thank you guys!

I prefer Pet Supplies Plus over some of the other pet stores in my area (personal preference). We have a dog and lizards. It doesn’t matter which pet we are shopping for, I’ve only had great experiences with the staff. Plus they pretty much always have live crickets available.

Not the friendliest staff and I was asked to find the product I was looking for at another store. Really, I would think they would say "We can place an order for you" it DIDN'T happen. Update: I was able to find what I was looking for at the other store as suggested by staff.

The staff has really stepped up their game in recent years, and it shows, by watching the increased business in there every time we visit. Their staff is always available to help you find what you need, and offers great advice. Were so glad to have them in the neighborhood.

One of the most unprofessional managers we have ever encountered yelled at my Mother for asking a question. I can’t even believe I’m having to write this. I loved Pet Supplies Plus before this, but this particular store (7006) needs to reconsider their hiring choices.
