MOST IRRESPONSIBLE PEOPLE EVER! I’ve been a loyal customer ever since the opening of this location, but today I couldn’t be more outraged and disappointed. We took our dog troy to his grooming appointment at 2PM for full vip service. Around 5pm the lady in charge of him called me to let me know she had a family emergency and she had to leave, so Troy’s appointment was going to take a bit longer than usual. I said it was fine and came back 2hrs later to the store just to find out she wasn’t even back yet and my dog had only been bathed! 5 HOURS LATER AND THEY ONLY GAVE HIM A BATH. He was scared, hungry and even WET! I understand completely that everyone has emergencies, but how can a business be so little prepared for this situations! Someone should have taken his appointment instead of making him wait wet on a kennel. I am beyond upset at this point, not coming back and wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone!

Love this store! We've visited three times since they opened. First time was the grand opening weekend and we took Max, our Jack Russell, to celebrate the one year anniversary of his "gotcha" date. He had fun wandering around the store to select a toy elephant that he loves. Second visit we took our Yorkie Katy to celebrate her "gotcha" day 5th anniversary. She also enjoyed wandering around the store and picking out some treats. The nice male cashier gave her a special cookie bone in honor of her gotcha day, too, which she also loved. Last time my husband and daughter took my daughter's dog to pick out a cute sweater we'd seen on a previous visit and pick up a few cans of their dog food. Salesperson was super nice and when my husband enquired about some fish ordered them for him. Also saved money using our store savings card and a coupon they emailed us. Great store and people! Highly recommended!

Exceptional experience every time our family shops here. Clean store, Very helpful employees. You feel welcomed as soon as you walk in the door. They say customers first, I feel employees first. Without them we wouldn't be able to get what we need.When a company cares about their employees, it shows through the whole shopping experience. This store is always clean. They know their stuff. During these uncertainty times. It's good to run into a store where all the associates greet you ,and ask if you need any help or take time to explain a product to you. They even have water outside for the guests that brings their animals in. Thank you! Will be soon you guy's soon..

Best freaking place for Pet Supplies in town. Great pit stop for fostering supplies. Sales staff are always friendly and attentive, they have a great set of standards there. Store is clean. Animals visiting are happy and perky. LOVED the Black Friday sale. About the same price on most things than any grocery store, but a whole lot more selection and you get a way better experience. On top of that, it's a privately owned small company, so it's way better than sending more money to the Waltons or Davis Family. These folks will actually spend their money in town, so supporting them is supporting Jacksonville for Jacksonville.

We were calling everywhere looking for dewormer but other places were out and only offered the tapeworm dewormer. Pet Supplies Plus had the one that took care of 4 types! Kat was extremely helpful on the phone and held it for me at the front desk. She was very friendly and shared stories of her own cats. I’ve been to this store 3 or 4 times and everyone has always been very helpful getting us what we’re looking for, for both our dog and cats. They are well-stocked with the best products I’ve not found elsewhere. Great place with great customer service! Rare these days so it’s so awesome to see!

I brought my German Shepherd in to be groomed by Hailey and could only give 5 stars when in reality I could've given 5,000 stars. Hailey was patient and so sweet in caring for my Sheena-marie. Her grooming couldn't of been more perfect... I'm just happy we found a groomer that is professional and confident and has a true love for animals. If you're looking for a groomer then Hailey is your girl...I promise you will be beyond satisfied. Hailey... Your not just an asset to pet supplies plus but your also an asset to the customers... both humans and our furbabies. Thank you for all you do!

Stephanie was very friendly and did a nice job on Bailey's grooming. She did exactly what she told me she would do, which I very much appreciate. Poms are not easy to groom and I would have given 5 stars except there are some places of detail that I am catching and having to trim at home...experience fixes this. We did catch one spot while I was there, again attention to detail and experience will fix this...I feel that Stephanie did a nice job and most important to me, she made Bailey feel comfortable while she was there! I got there with my daughter and we were looking at the cat collars that are in the window and this woman approached us without asking if we needed anything and she approached us so much close that we were stealing!!! We didn't even get a minute of having arrived and she passed by my other side but still close and that annoyed me! I understand that they are in charge but as I said before, she did not even ask if we needed something and without saying anything we left!

We have come here on several several occasions but the prices are higher than they are on chewy and other local stores for treats and foods. Kind of disappointing. Good to know that they will price match in the response was appreciated. Was greeted at the door courteously and asked if we needed help for anything. I will remember that and bring in receipts of things we've bought and ordered in other places recently. Price matching is a very nice benefit.

Just visited the new store and bought pet food .. The clerk never said the most important words in customer service; " Thank-you " . It's even better with a smile . It should be mandatory that when the receipt is given the clerks should say thank-.you . The stores clean and well-laid out . Just tell all the clerks the most important words in retail. Thank you. The competition is fierce for our shopping dollar and customers should be treated like guests.

Love so many things about this store!! Haven’t had customer service like this since before Covid!!!! We have four dogs and of course they all have their own needs… I was a little bit overwhelmed with all the choices when I first walked in but I was quickly approached by a very helpful gentlemen. He listened carefully and showed me products that I didn’t even know existed…!!! Love that it is local and i’ve already canceled my Chewy membership!! Lisa O.

Extremely impressed by the customer service at Pet Supplies Plus! I love that they carry all of the products I get regularly for my pup and the staff are so friendly. They even offer delivery, which is super convenient! Also, I would highly recommend their grooming. They took their time to make my puppy feel comfortable when he had only been groomed one time before.

Friendly staff and clean stores. Unfortunately, prices are not that competitive. There was an Fluval Aquaclear 50 filter on sale for $41.58. However, I can get the same filter at regular price for $40.00 at other pet store chains and online. If the sale price cannot match regular MSRP price, then the sales are not worth it.

Favorite pet store in Jax. Love that it’s locally owned. Pricing is modest and the staff is extremely friendly/helpful. When I place pickup orders they leave cute notes with funny animal puns and I adore that. I don’t and will not shop elsewhere; unless it’s one of the other local Pet Supplies Plus locations …

Love this store! Easy, free and fast curbside pickup and/or shopping in store is always great. The nicest staff. They have a really great selection of everything for pets, including natural/organic products. Always have great prices and sales - better than Amazon!

The owner is super nice and the customer service from the employees is top notch. Didn’t think I would be switching over from Petsmart or Petco, but they sure have my vote! And they have way better pricing and discounts and sales on top of it all! A+++

Commented previously about higher prices but I was responded to by ownership that they will price match which is a wonderful thing to know. We will definitely go back as we have been there many times and take some of the pricing information with us.
