I have shopped at Pet Supplies Plus for years and but had a troubling experience on my last trip. I got an arm full of items after work and paid $70 (big purchase for me) and after I paid, the casher told me their might be an issue with the transaction and called a supervisor over. The supervisor said I needed to repurchase the items and then dispute the charge after the weekend because sometimes their system doesn't record the transaction properly. I told her I couldn't to pay double, and she said that if i left empty handed I still had to dispute the charge. I checked my bank ap on my phone and they had already recored the transaction, so I wasn't prepared to be out $140. I called my bank and they told me this was not normal and they would track the transaction (at least the bank cared) I get that stuff happens with technology, but I hate that I was treated like I was being unreasonable for not being able to pay double. I left without the food, $70 poorer (hopefully just temporally) and with errands to do the next week to get the money back. I shopped here for years + this experience was not a normal one - but seeing that the onus is on me to get back money back after their system's mistake shows me they are not interested in my patronage. EDIT - the manager finally contacted me weeks after the incident (and weeks after they publicly responded on Google) I am still filling out paperwork to receive my money. i think a measure of a business is to see how they handle their mistakes. These guys had many opportunities to make things right and make me whole. They still owe me $70.

I used to work here until I recently quit because of how I was treated, along with other things. The store itself is nice and the sales are great, but as a former employee and as a current customer, I currently am receiving messages from the current staff, constant harassment about me and my personal life that has been going on for almost a year, that does not pertain to work at all, and I have spoken to these people many times and asked them to not speak ill of me as it gets back to me everytime and makes me uncomfortable. The store and assistant manager are great, but the team itself is toxic to both the employees and the customers. I only hope that they fix their attitude when it comes to stressful situations, instead of taking it out on each other. It makes me very uncomfortable to shop there, and it should make others uncomfortable as well.

This pet store is such a hidden gem. They provide a wide selection of pet supplies and products, all of which are sure to win the approval of fur parents like myself. Consequently, I made the decision to buy some cat food from this particular retailer as my babies needs foods cause they already don't have stocks. Although they have a wide variety of options available, I decided to stick with the same food brand because my kitties are extremely picky eaters. It's fortune that they have the cat food that I've been looking for. I am also looking for some toys, and they have a large selection of them; I am certain that my fur babies will enjoy the toys that I buy for them. The products at Pet Supplies Plus have left both my husband and I, as well as my fur babies with very favorable impressions. Very highly recommended.

First off, they have parking. Do you know how many times I do not go to a particular store because there’s no easy parking? Big plus. Second, they have a pretty great selection of high quality pet foods and supplies that usually only boutique pet stores or online would carry. Third, when I bought a 40-lb crate of cat litter, the cashier asked if I needed help bringing it to my car. What service! Sure! Given I had brought my shih tzu into the store, she can often be distracting, in so many good ways, when trying to run errands A very nice, young man helped carry the litter and bag of foods I purchased for said shih tzu and my cat, and all in all, I’ve always had a pleasant time at Pet Supplies Plus. They’ve been great, straight forward, and efficient in all things pet retail-related.

While the prices are good and the people are nice, the customer service sucks. On 3 separate occasions I tried to special order products, and all 3 times they failed to fill my order. Luis (?), an assistant manager, just shrugged his shoulders and said he could try reordering. No, "Hey, I know this is inconvenient, let me give you a discount since you'll have waited 3 weeks for something that should have only waited 1 week for." I talked to the actual manager, he gave me an excuse (made up), but, at least, gave me the items for free. For some reason, every time I go to the store Luis is working, and every single time my order isn't processed. This store needs a major manager overhaul.

Well I work as a security guy and used to work up there at Wicker Park and I love the fact that they have a great customer service the management and the employees like Felicia she knows everything and anything about the pets and the store items and she will give you her expertise in what food to purchase and what type of medication or allergies that making your pet feel ill also you have manager Emmanuel who is a real expert in the fish in the aquarium and a expert in dogs he helped me pick out the best dog food water bowl and toys these two and the other employees are the best at what they're doing great job guys

Witnessed a so called manager file a Hispanic woman aisle by aisle then have the cashier step to the side so she can check her out as if the woman was stealing solely for the color of her skin , woman was in there all of four minutes and had 6 employees ask if there was anything they could help her find and pretend to clean and stock the same exact thing so they could shadow her in the aisle . Don’t know when it has ever taken four people to rotate some cans but you know , who knows ? Would give no stars if I could , as a Hispanic I would never give my money here , Kriser’s is three blocks away.

The self service dog wash is so dirty! No one cleans it in between uses so when I got there last night the tub and floor were covered with hair and dirt. My dog doesn’t shed- she was getting ready to go home dirtier than she came! I cleaned the tub and unclogged the drain before putting her in and then carried my clean wet dog all the way to my car because I didn’t want her getting covered in all the dirt and dog hair on the ground. Also the towels suck and are rarely clean so I bring my own. At least the water and shampoo worked!

Self service dog wash here is awesome. It’s so clean and well priced. $10 a wash or you can buy a card for 5 washes for $25 (only $5 each). The system offers four different types of shampoo that’s built it to the water faucet so you don’t need to bring anything. They supply fresh towels and aprons and it even has a built in blow dryer. You can get in and out in 20 minutes or less and there are two stations so if you do wait, it’s not long. And the staff here are super friendly and helpful. Best deal in town!

We love pet supplies but this ine didn't see to have what we were looking for and we had to track down an employee in the store. We did like the convenience of parking and the fact that it had two entrances. One through the main street and one through the parking lot. Another issue we had was that the system was down so a lot of people were paying with cash since they could not figure out what was wrong. All in all I would rather go to my neighborhood Pet Supplies store.

I am horrified. I have come here for a variety of needs for over a year. On Friday I picked up some dog treats for my dog including the trachea with peanut butter. This morning, there are bugs on the counter escaping the trachea package. I live a very clean life with a clean house and I am embarrassed to think my dog ate one of these. Don't waste your time buying treats here because with the 3 bugs I saw, it's bound to make your pet sick.

Exceptional service provided by Arianna. Was having an issue finding a particular brand of food for my dogs & I don’t always trust websites in stock out of stock. So when I called to inquire she took the time to go see if they had on the shelves & informed me that they did have a available. Thank you Arianna for your help and going the extra mile. Made my night! Cute note on the food when I picked it up nice touch :)

The store is fine but their online website is an absolute nightmare. I tried redeeming my points but I was told that I need to redeem them online to receive a barcode but when I try to that the website drags and doesn’t load. I’ve tried so many different devices but it’s their website that doesn’t work properly. I stop by at least once a week and have accumulated so many rewards that I can’t even access!

I’ve gotten pet supplies for my cockatiel at the Pet Supplies Plus Wicker Park Location. The staff is pleasant and helpful, everything is easy to locate and most importantly, the animals that are being sold here look and act cared for and there is an adorable stray finch that’s found its way into the store and has been living in its high ceilings ever since. My pet enjoy his new purchases

Love this store. I've used the free delivery option for orders over $35 multiple times, and they always call in a timely manner if something I ordered isn't available in a particular flavor/size. And the staff inside is super helpful and cheerful! It doesn't hurt that they give my pup a treat whenever she comes with. Great spot in the neighborhood and the member deals are solid, too.

Shopped there today for the first time. The staff really know their stuff. I was shopping for a cat with food allergies. They showed me several products that I'd never seen anywhere nor had even heard of. When I got home I threw away the old treats and opened the new. Thank you......I have one happy cat and you have one happy customer who will definitely recommend you to others.

Not dog aggressive friendly Another location was able to accommodate me and my dog aggressive dog for the self wash doggy bath. This location wouldn’t allow me to have the room alone just to wash my dog quickly. He told me he wasn’t allowed to tell people not to use the wash but I never said that. The other location was able to ask other customers to wait a little

I came here to check out the birds that chill near the back. They're cute but beware when you buy one as the workers have no experience in handling most pets. Had to chase down a poor cockatiel I was buying at the time, and it was probably very scary for the bird. I recommend buying locally from people who breed birds who know human touch so your birds are more friendly.

I ran in on Christmas Eve to get some gifts for my granddog Morton! I had traveled from California to Chicago and I didn't have room to pack any gifts for him. But boy did they have lots of gifts available stuffed toys shoes everything even close. I picked up new dog toys and he was so excited thank you for being open and for the large variety of items in your store.

For the second time in a row I have shopped at this store and they do not honor the pricing they have on the shelves. This cat shelf was on sale today the 26th but they said it expired in the morning of the 26th not the afternoon, even though all of the other cat items were on sale. This is the second time they bait and switch products.

Absolutely love the staff at this location. The staff is welcoming and authentic. They really care about each other, their customers, and the animals that visit them. My hats off to their store manager, Zacorra, for a fantastic job leading and training her team! We had a blast visiting the store for their Halloween Event!

Clean airy and bright store. Associates are eager to help and friendly. This store matched a lower price I showed them from Menards. So, I purchased my cat liter here at Pet Supplies. Watch for their sales then stock up. I liked this store and the fun of greeting the pets which come in with their Masters. Nice place.

We had tried out multiple more expensive groomers in the Wicker Park / Bucktown area before coming to Pet Supplies Plus. We are here to stay! The staff were kind and patient and did an excellent job grooming our 3 YO dog (who can be a handful). Many thanks to the staff at Pet Supplies Plus, highly recommend to all!

This is a great, clean very friendly pet supply shop. They have a huge variety of products for cats and dogs including fresh dog cookies. It is placed in a shopping center with a large parking lot and a pot belly's next door. Definitely a great place to stop for a quick pick up. It is close to the highway as well.

My dog jumped out my car window and someone scooped him up and took him into this store. They were very understanding and also made sure he was our dog. We were only visiting Chicago for that day only for work and we're grateful to all the kind people who helped Bluto and us find our way back to each other.

The staff here are always so genuinely friendly. The store runs sales on products when other stores don't typically. They not only have your more popular name brand products, but also more boutique/higher end brands as well. Their rewards program is great too. Honestly I just really like shopping here :)

Employee was coughing and sneezing repeatedly. Manager continued on like nothing was wrong. Don't make sick people come into work/send them home when it's obvious they're sick. I came here to get a few cans of food for my cat, not to catch covid or whatever else is going around. Tired of selfish people.

I placed a delivery order and the store was out of stock of my dog's dry food. Instead of cancelling my order, one of the staff members arranged a transfer of the dry food from another location so that she could complete my delivery order! She really went above and beyond and I appreciate that so much!

15/10 service here! Stopped in with a new pup and the staff went above and beyond to help out. Found out he had some fleas - they took an extra hour with him to make sure he was good to go. Ashley took me around helping with food and puppy basics as well. Thanks for all the help today!!

I love this store. Mostly because not only do they carry the dietary need foods for my felines but the employees all seem to genuinely care for animals and it shows. Good vibes and happy animals. Also, to add.. Furry feline friends available to adopt through a rescue on premises. Best!

Great addition to the neighborhood with everything from high end treats and food to kennels, dog grooming and even veterinary services. The staff is always friendly and pretty much every time I go in there someone has an adorable puppy. If that's not awesome I don't know what is.

The staff is very knowledgeable and helpful. They almost always have the products I am looking for, including the somewhat rare organic cat food my cat likes. Their delivery service is efficient and reliable as well. My go to pet store in the neighborhood, highly recommend!

This place is awesome, they have such great deals and the staff they hire is super friendly. Sadly, they are short people, this line waited roughly 10-20 minutes for help. Admittedly, a customer came in with a very odd request but the store should be able to offer support.

Nice staff and the self service dog wash is convenient. The dog wash is not always stocked with towels and the shampoos aren't that great, but for $10 it's not a bad deal especially if you are trying to rinse sand out of your dog after a trip to the dog beach!

Actually a really great visit You can choose from a bunch of cool pet food blends and types, and I learned they have curbside for when I'm really in a hurry and like site to store, they've got a lot going there. Oh and associates help out if you ask.

Had a great experience at the groomer! Took longer than expected but that's because the groomer worked through my dog's knots/mats instead of just shaving them off. My pup looks GREAT! I could tell he felt confident after his visit. Thank you!

Great selection for dogs, not a lot for cats. They do have some very useful basics for cats like Litter Genies, but there's usually not a lot in stock. There are also other small animals like fish and birds in the back.

They have a nice kitty section. Your beast(s) won't go hungry if you shop here. And it(they) won't have to "use" that nice floor of yours. Always well stocked. Great sales people who I'm sure could use a healthy raise.

Went to see the vet clinic. We were told to register online and they would text us. Then we saw a bunch of people waiting in line and saw the vet right after arriving, so the online registration was useless.

The treatment of the animal at this establishment is awful. In the back of the store they had tanks of dead and soon to be dead fish on display. Birds look sickly as well, the team was nice though.
