Lost my business over a quarter, $0.25, twenty-five cents. Crazy but true. Thousands of dollars and years of business and they need their quarter...lol. I'll make it quick...went in looking for a case of wet cat food and a bag of dry. While a worker fetches my case the cashier asks me if I'd like a bag. I say "no, I can handle it very well thank you". The other worker comes back and informs us that there are no more cases. After we put our heads together, we decide there are enough loose cans to make up a case. Wonderful, I get my discount. I pay my $130 for 24 days of food and look down at the loose cans and ask for a bag. The cashier looks uneasy and says she has to charge me the 25 cents. I say "but I have paid already". She informs me that she doesn't want to get "in trouble" and insists I have to pay. I lightheartedly plead "where is the civility? where is the customer service?" I give in with a bewilderment and a laugh, and tap the 25 cents on my credit card for a paper bag. On my farewell, I jokingly say "I will remember the 25 cents when I throw that bag down the garbage chute". I wonder if this business will remember the thousands, the $1000s they have lost from my business over a quarter, a stupid quarter. Customer service and common sense matter and this store lacks both. I will renew my business with Pet Cuisine and Accessories just down the street. They were always quite kind and caring.
I tried returning snow boots that I ordered online and didn’t fit my dog. I tried on one boot INSIDE. They initially started the return asking me for a barcode from the email reciept. They then accused me that it was worn outside… FedEx had just delivered it last night at 8 pm and it’s 10 am now lol there’s also no snow and the boots don’t fit? They then said I have to wait til 12 for the manager as managers can only do returns. I have returned items before with any sales associate before. It’s clear they were accusing me of trying to return something used when I had just received it from their warehouse and wanted the manager to refuse my refund. Terrible customer service for someone who purchases a lot from Pet Valu.
One staff member didnt seem to care about her job. The price on the item itself was priced wrong on the back, when i noticed the bill I asked about the pricing and she said "our pricing changes every week" and did absolutely nothing to honor, nor assist me in any way for the extra 5$ that I got over charged. It not about the extra $ at all, it was the lack of care to help us out. The selection of products was good but the customer service was lacking. I suggest going down the street to Global pet foods and dealing with people who greet you as soon as you walk in with a smile and are extremely customer service first base. Never will I shop at this store again.
I placed an online order with promo code from pet valu. 2 items went through and confirmed but when i went into store the girl cashier told me one of the items are not available (and online it still said available). So she had to refund both items and told me she no longer can apply promo code since it “has been used”. She had a bad attitude the whole time and couldnt even find my order and took in someone else first even though i was waiting longer time. I asked if anything she can do to reapply promo she said nothing kept saying no and cut me off saying talk to headquarter customer service. Very bad customer service, i will not go back here.
This place has the most annoying awful service and not respectful to customers. The people who works in there they are two faces and not helpful at all. The toys are not good awful customers don’t anything like toys every time I buy a toy it doesn’t work the moment I take it home doesn’t make noise and they are expensive is better to buy at AliExpress cheaper. Customer take your business to another pet seller they are NOT the only place and they are more nicely better attitude better service
Super friendly staff and I’ve always found what I needed. The only downside is that all the chews are displayed on the bottom shelf and I’ve seen multiple doggies grabbing them while passing by :) Not sure if they are purposefully there but I hope they switch the shelves!
The manager and everyone who works there are very knowledgeable about the food and treats they sell, dog allergies, raw food, toys, etc. They are also great with animals. My corgi LOVES coming to this store as they give her a few treats if she behaves well. :)
Excellent Store and Staff. Answered all my questions and very knowledgeable staff. Good assortment of Pet essentials. I had Melissa who was a really big help and knowledgeable. And thanks to the young man who helped assemble my Cat Crate. Jeff
Great location, friendly staff that helped me load my car and always has everything I need for my kitty.
Large variety of goods , friendly staff, and every so often you run into a cute pup!
