Absolutely horrible customer service. I had purchased something that went unused for 2 months (in the box). I called customer service before going into the store and they were lovely - encouraged me to go to a store and get store credit since it was over 30 days. So I went to Appleby and New st. Location. The girls at the front desk were rude, but ended up calling their employer to share the situation stating my “invoice has no proof of purchase at pet value”. I said I had a confirmation email from my order, and proof of speaking with customer service, which she completely disregarded and didn’t care to look at it. She said the store owner would call me to sort it out. I got a horrible toned call this morning and was essentially told I was lying about speaking with customer service and they wouldn’t be taking anything back from me. I don’t care at all about not accepting the return, I had a feeling they wouldn’t which is why I called customer service to begin with. It’s the disrespect and horrible customer service that’s leading me to leave this review. Thank you for reminding me why I don’t shop here

Absolutely awful customer service as soon as I entered the store. There were two girls at the counter who didn't even acknowledge me and I was the only person in the store. I grabbed my purchase and the girl at the register was just texting on her phone until she realized I was there. What makes it even better is that during the transaction, she went back on her phone. I ended up making a comment about her being on the phone was disrespectful to customers and her and the other associate just looked at me. This was the most awkward and awful experience. Not even an apology was given! I'll never shop at this location again.

I purchased a bully stick from this location that gave my dog salmonella, I trust that pet stores will do their due diligence providing products that are safe. This is my fault for not doing research but my vet told me they are not great for animals and she would never recommend them. I called the location to let them know this happened, the manager was nothing but defensive and only offered the apology after I pleaded my case. Terrible customer service.

The customer service and care at this location is 12 out of 10!! On Friday evening I called to place an order, but the dog food we use was out of stock. Shortly after, the store received a transfer of that specific dog food. The staff member was able to retrieve my number from the call history and called to let me know. Now that’s what I call going above and beyond!! Regrettably, I didn’t catch her name, but hope this review finds its way to her.

I take my dog to get washed here about once a month since we are active dog park users and the staff are always super friendly and keep the dog wash extremely clean in between the customers . My dog ripped apart a toy within an hour (had a manufacture defect) and I was able to exchange it for a new toy which I kindly appreciate . It’s cheaper than some other pet stores , Not the cheapest but they have good sales .

I couldn’t agree more with the other reviews mentioning the attitude of the employees at this location. I genuinely felt like a burden even walking in the door. Both employees were very rude and condescending when answering questions. My partner and I decided to leave and not buying anything after feeling very uncomfortable with our interaction with them. Don’t work in retail with people if you don’t know how!

I’m visiting from out of the country and went into this store yesterday. I was hoping to get some pet products to bring to my baby chihuahua back home. Unfortunately couldn’t agree more with Jennifer- I was treated like an inconvenience just for being there. The employees were so rude. The energy in this store is BAD. It needs to be saged x100. I took my business elsewhere.

Always a pleasant surprise to find the treats my dog especially enjoys at a much more affordable price at Pet Valu compared with the pet food retailers. Updated stores make finding treats, toys, food and accessory items for all pets easy. Friendly staff are willing to assist and self serve pet wash stations available.

The dog bath here is fabulous and so reasonably priced. The water pressure was great, there were several shampoo choices, the drier was powerful, and the staff were very helpful and kind. The setup makes it very easy to bathe your dog and my dog even seemed to enjoy it. I will definitely go back.

The best dog wash I have ever seen at a pet valu! They had a wide range of shampoos and conditioners to use. They also had a waterpick shower head specifically for dogs. They only had one tub, which I found was better because I wasn’t worried about other dogs. Can’t wait to go back!

Very friendly, kind staff..however I had my dog in store and I was still given the incorrect type of muzzle for her. I think that employee was more looking to make a sale then to try to actually help me out as it was the only type they had. Shame, rest of the staff is so amazing.

Very helpful staff and an extensive variety of pet food and supplies. A quick sign up for a membership card for access to discounts and your purchases accumulate to get you free food. And you don't have to carry your membership card, you can just sign in with your phone number.

Incredibly friendly and helpful staff, huge range of products to select from and there's a loyalty program. Park close because those bags of cat litter are freaking heavy especially if you buy a bunch on sale like me and try to carry them all at once. :)

Customer service is great. I buy my dogs food and treats there. And when the dog wash can open I use that as well. But as I said the customer service is fantastic. Always ready to help you with your questions and find what you need.

Great location, great staff. Never had an issue, come here all the time. I used to go to the one on fairview, which is also excellent, but I moved. People here just as helpful. Nice to see !

Taste Of The Wild folks. my girls LOVE it and their coats are awesome. They have been eating it for over a decade and no problems at all. Pet Valu is the only place I can get it AFAIK.

Amazing customer service. Gina who was working on Monday Aug 23rd really helped me out to pick up my cat food with my sleeping baby. She went above and beyond. Thank you so much!

Many cat tree and dog bed options to choose from. Store has an easy to find layout. Store associate was knowledgeable and helpful. Will return here again soon.

Always cost a arm and a leg but the fur missile worth it.
