Quite disappointed with my service here today. Most importantly with a lie. I brought my dog here for a grooming appointment. I always only get a minor trim to “clean up” her wisps and sanitary area. She’s just a tiny dog about 12 lbs. I get a call from the groomer 2 hrs in and says “ya, hey she’ll be ready in about 15-20 mins. Her “mane” is really yucky and she has gross stuff in her mane, so I’m going to take it really short”. I responded saying “sorry something in her hair; like what?” I was shocked because we brush her everyday and pet her (there was absolutely, undeniably no sign whatsoever of anything in her mane when she left our house). She responds “oh you know, like drool”. I said “drool??” Impossible. (My breed of dog does not drool AT ALL) So, I then said “no no, please just leave it the way it is. Only trim any wisps please.” Side note: It took years for us to grow her beautiful little “mane”!! So she agreed and we hung up. I went to pick her up and the groomer says - “ ya, so we’re comping you for the visit”. Oh, I said why? She said “because ya I was grooming her and I took all her fur off around the neck - her mane.” I was left pretty much speechless. I didn’t respond. So, here’s why I am writing this review: 1. How dare you lie to a customer about what you did to their dog?! She essentially called me to shift blame and basically say my dog had “drool in her hair” to try and excuse what she had done?! Instead of saying on the phone “listen it was an accident, I screwed up”. My dog was as clean as a dog could be. Hair brushed everyday! Then to have the audacity to lie like that to a consumer?? I am so disappointed with the groomer as a person and pet smart as a company. Is this their policy? No accountability?? 2. As mentioned, that hair took years to grow. It will not grow back for years. Yes, she’s a dog, yes it’s only hair - I am extremely disappointed.

We just completed the Beginner Training 6-week class and couldn't be happier! Vicky was our Trainor and she is amazing! We have a little Shihpoo who has a lot of anxiety around larger dogs and we thought a group class might help her. Our little Scottie was the only small dog in the class and at the beginning she was very overwhelmed and anxious. Over the 6 week class Vicky helped build her confidence and taught us (her pawrents) so many helpful tips, tricks and training methods to use. We can't believe the difference in our Scottie girl! By the 4th class she was approaching the other big dogs and by the end of the 6 weeks she was instigating play with them! It's a night and day difference! Plus she learned so many other things in the class too. Vicky is incredible at her job and takes the time to connect with every dog and human in the class. She is incredibly patient, encouraging, caring and talented. We will 100% sign-up for another class with Vicky. Plus Scottie LOVES her so we will have to see her again. This was such a great experience! Thank you SO SO SO much Vicky!! We are so appreciative!

DONT BRING YOUR PET HERE. The grooming salon is a joke! This is the second time the groomer (Amy) called in sick and instead of leaving space in others schedule for sick groomers or having a back up groomer to come in they cancel everyone’s appointments without 24hr notice like none of us have lives that they re arranged. The grooming manager doesn’t care and left me on hold for over 20 minutes. I had to hang up because I have other obligations and he never called me back. Their resolution was to schedule me with the same groomer tomorrow to take a chance that she is not sick, if I didn’t want that I could get the next available appointment which he was so “eagerly” looking up. Very unprofessional and rude! I am going to corporate about this as it’s not the first time and the managers behaviour is completely unacceptable. He has a job because of customers and it appears he forgot that customer service is his number one goal. Wish I could give 0 stars! If they are unable to have a resolution conversation, imagine how they treat your animals if they are frustrated!!

Horrible experience with the pet hotel. If my plane wasn’t in 3 hours I would’ve never left him there. The manager of the pets hotel at Stoney creek is SO rude and made me so uncomfortable. Even he was scared. She actually made me cry because I was so terrified to leave him there. She had an attitude and was completely disrespectful. Definitely does not come off as someone that loves animals. My parents picked him up from her for me and they had the same experience. My dog also came back so dirty he smelled like a toilet. His paws covered in brown. I don’t think they took care of him at all. He would have been better off completely alone rather than at pets smart. Literally almost ruined my trip because it’s all I could think off. This location needs a new manager and staff that actually care about animals. Also tried to overcharge and not apply the 1 night free for first time when my parents were picking him up and were rude when asked about it.

Rocky has been going to this location for groomer/Doggy Camp/training. Lately he’s becoming reactive because we limit his socialising to other dogs and playing here in the park like he used to due to his mild arthritis and weak hind leg that developed last summer. Before I can take him here and not care about other dog around and the staff knows him a bit especially at the doggy camp. The groomer staff is so nice that they still welcome Rocky to do his nail grinding. Rocky seems to calm down once he’s inside the grooming room with other dog around him. Even though he’s acting reactive now I still want to take him here - in this location until they kick us out LOL …..today he got his Santa Photo. He had his photo here for the last 2 years and I didn’t want to take him anywhere else. We got an invite with free Santa Photo from other company but as long as they don’t kick us out from this location, WE WILL KEEP COMING HERE HEHHEHEHE

I adopted a cat from them that was sick at the time of adoption. I was offered pet insurance at the time of adoption but was later told by the insurance company that it wasn’t a valid offer anymore. I tried to get support from the rescue however no satisfactory support was obtained. My cat had to be euthanized after weeks long attempts to treat the health problems. I went to the store and reached out to the Petsmart Charitiies with my concerns to no avail. I then contacted head office and never heard a word back. I lost my beloved pet and spent a large amount of money on vet bills and absolutely no one at this store has done anything to make this right! Warning to anyone considering adopting a cat from them BE CAREFUL!!!!! The cat was sick while it was in their store and that obviously wasn’t a concern. Do your research on the rescues and be aware that this company whose logo is “anything for pets” did absolutely nothing for mine.

The grooming salons service has gone down. The management is not the way it used to be either. Since our dogs were bordered at pet smart they developed anxiety so we have always had an express grooming service. My elderly mother booked the appointments indicating express. After she dropped off the one dog at 7 am it is now 9:28 and she is not received her dog. She had to wait 20 minutes while her dog was kennelled to rest while the groomer finished shaving another dog. She was supposed to add and the finishing touches to our dog which our dog was just given to us. Our dog has been home for a few hours and is still skittish. I feel they take advantage of the seniors when it come down to service and lack of communication. We have been a customer there for 9 years and we are very loyal customers but I will never go back. I do not recommend ANYONE use Pet Smart

RAE from pet hotel / doggy daycare is phenomenal... I have actually experienced some not so great issues with this pet smart location's staff. But yesterday, I brought my GP Daisy in to doggy daycare for the first time ever and Rae helped me check Daisy in. She was so above and beyond, thorough, patient, kind, and so knowledgable about dogs! I was so pleased with my service and actually amazed with her skills because it really is above and beyond compared to other employees at this location. I hope she is a manager or something? Because as someone myself who has a management background she is such an incredible employee!! She made me feel so great and informed about doggy daycare and actually changed my mind about not being a lover of this location! I cant wait to bring Daisy back to Rae and the doggy day care team! Thanks for all your help and expertise

I've been going on and off to this location for grooming for years, they actually gave my boy Dixon his first groom. I went in today after my boy got sprayed by a skunk last night, and they treated him like a king....Spoiling him, and even giving him some love even though he stunk. Also, when his previous blister on his paw reopened while they were trimming his nails, they didn't hesitate to bring him to a qualified, and friendly vet for treatment (I guess it's their policy, and they pick up the bill for the visit only). They contacted me right away, and gave me all the details.... I'm not going to lie, I was very worried, but once i got there, and spoke to the Petsmart employee, he reassured me about the situation, and made me feel like the staff here genuinely care about the well being of all their clients, including the stinky ones.

My dog stayed at pet hotel. My usual sitter bailed so had to go here. They took my dog to the vet without my permission and charged me nearly 400 bucks extra to tell me what i knew and told them! The little guy was a bit out of sorts in a new place and hadn't taken a dump for first two days. He was eating fine and no other symptoms or distress/discomfort. He does this when being boarded at a new place. So get this about their vet policy: if the dog is ATTACKED you can opt out of animal being taken to vet. Even if bleeding! But God forbid he misses a bowel movement it's an immediate emergency run?!?!! No questions. No phone call. TOTAL MONEY GRAB. They pay well over the local going rate for a vet visit and you have to pay for an extra employee's wages because each animal that goes to the hospital had to have its own human.

Worst experience ever, they do not care about your pets and management is absolutely heartless. If I could give less than 1 star I would. Dropped my dog off the grooming table. Caused her neurological issues and couldn’t walk. When I had vet notes stating her issues happened after the fall. Refused to give me any compensation for all the vet bills they have caused me or the video of the incident happening when there video proof she fell. Not to mention the emotional role this has taken on me and my family. When telling management about the cost of everything I got told “well if it was my dog I would just pay it” even though it was going to cost me thousands. Disgusting bunch of people. False advertising too that they truly care about pets, they care about money and that is it.

Always super friendly staff and usually pretty fast service. I started doing curbside pickup shortly into the lockdown and have been very impressed with the speed my orders are ready for me. When I arrived at the store I got my order immediately (5min wait) and staff are very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately now that rules are relaxing and store fronts are open again I'm finding the service much slower(15min wait). I'm still trying to avoid public contact as much as possible and I appreciate that this service is still available, but it's much slower now. Staff are busier with open store fronts and they are trying their best to adapt to a new untested service. Still worth it to avoid public contact but prepare to wait a while.

Went to this location earlier in June with my wife, mainly to pick up some neon tetras, guppys And a plecko. Found some really cool aquarium pieces, and the person that helped us out was super nice and knowledgeable, made the whole experience easy and was gentle with the fish. Which I always view as a plus. (Update) The only reason I can't give it a higher rating is that out of the 12 or so fish we purchased, to date 7 have died so far within a couple weeks of buying them. Once we got them home within hours we could tell some had issues, and they started dropping like flies. 2 had previous mouth parasites, which we had to treat, and even the hardier plecko died. I will never buy fish from here again.

Very poor customer service, can't speak to actual service as none was received despite repeated attempts. Two scheduling mishaps for grooming, including one store cancellation, then denied to see the dog on first visit as we didn't have the vet records with us. No prior request for this, and we had previously attended at one of the botched appointments. appeared to be very self important and doing us a favour by seeing our dog. Only not really, I would not trust my dog anywhere with folk that are so into themselves I can't imagine their customer service improves if the customer, my dog, can't speak up. Very disappointing experience across multiple days/visits. completely unacceptable.

Starting to sour on this location… took my 3 pups here a month or so ago to get groomed. The Salon has a max amount of people, so we waited in line outside. Eventually I got in to the salon and was asked why I was late? (I wasn’t late.. I was waiting out side of the salon in the line up for 15 minutes while employees were taking people who arrived after me…) Had a reservation for this Monday, which they cancelled and aren’t able to reschedule for 3 weeks because they are busy. What’s the point of taking a reservation if you aren’t able to hold it? Their solution? An apology. Thanks Petsmart, an apology is gonna get my 3 dogs looking real fresh for this summer heat.

Ordered new food for our dog online on Wednesday....Same day delivery. We were notified it wouldn't be delivered till Saturday. We called Petsmart to ask if we could do curbside instead of waiting. Were told "no because it's already loaded on the truck" .. Can we cancel and go pick it up? Again "no". So Saturday FedEx text us that they tried to Deliver but no answer. They didn't even try! We called FedEx only to be told "Sorry he won't come back ". Supposedly now they are coming Monday. In the meantime we got a small bag of her current food so we don't run out. We also have to blend food until she's accustomed to it. We'll never order online from here again!

This one star is for pet hotel manager Lorelei. If there were negative stars choices, I would do so. I felt the same frustration as Dallas Alkaldy did. Lorelei is good at sensing customer’s pressure and would make it worse whenever she can. When she knew I needed to travel to another city, she suddenly made up new check in rules and gave me hard time. She is pure evil. Don’t be fooled by her nice words. If she could find out ways to bully human who can speak and get away with that, she could bully our pets which no way let us know how they have been treated. Stay away from Stoney Creek PetSmart pet hotel as long as Lorelei works there.

Walked in at 8:56 am store doesn’t open until 9am except for doggy hotel. Manager Matt stopped us when we went in and told us we had to go back outside because the store wasn’t open yet. I could see people walking around the store. A minute later someone else came to the door and asked us if we wanted to come in. He told us that we could come in but the registers wouldn’t work until 9:00am. We told him that someone told us that we had to wait. He looked confused. We walked in and got our bag of food and checked out at 9:03. Not great customer service. No sense going to a store where you’re not welcome.

I absolutely love the grooming salon at this location, specifically because of Amy G. I have a 4 pound chihuahua with a major attitude problem and Amy is amazing with him. Not only does she make him feel comfortable, but she goes above and beyond all expectations. Amy also used to trim the nails of our Boxer dog who sadly passed away recently and she not only expressed her condolences for our loss but she was also extremely comforting. I could tell that she genuinely cared about our dog. Amy is incredibly nice and I couldn’t be more happy with my experience. Definitely recommend!!

Tried to order pet food online, the website is so hard to navigate and after 20 minutes I got everything into my card, my credit card was charged BEFORE I checked out, and now that I'm on the submit order screen I see that it has added "SS 303" to my address. I go back to change it, it creates a new address in my "book" then select correct address and on checkout again it says SS 303, tried and after 40 minutes now, I've come to the realization PetSmart paid less for their website design than I'm about to for my uber to the store and back. Thanks for wasting my time :/

I’ve been coming to this PetSmart for a over 5 years now. When ever our regular groomer can’t get Zoe in we come to PetSmart. They are always super friendly and the place is always clean. This is more of a last min resort as they put the dogs in a cage and mt dog is not a fan so I feel bad. They so usually take 3-4 hours on our Siberian husky. There was only one issue this whole time and they fixed it right away and went over and beyond to make me happy. The girls in the grooming salon are awesome Zoe loves the ladies.

Leaving a review about their Betta fish section. The fish were stored in small plastic containers completely sealed. The associate assured me that there were holes in the containers but when I walked by at least one fish was dead and another living in murky algae infested water. Last time I was in a couple weeks back they had a wall of bettas (approx 40-50+) there might be about 6 left. I don’t believe these fish are being cared for properly and would not recommend buying one here as it is likely to be sick and/or die.

Always go to this PetSmart and always have a positive experience. My review is toward the Simply Nourish Salmon Recipe Dog Food that I purchased a few weeks ago. My dog usually eats raw, however I was moving and ran out so purchased this bag of food for him. Had a nice surprise and found this in the bag.... Not sure if PetSmart owns Simply Nourish (as a few places online suggest).. but pretty disappointing. Will definitely be putting my dog back on raw food. At least that way I know what is going in his body.

DO NOT stay at the pet hotel, my 2 dogs went for 8 days when i picked them up one of the dogs had developed kennel cough and is now really sick. i called petsmart the following day and an associate told me someone would call me back asap...no one called i followed up the next day and the manager replied with sorry. Sorry doesnt cover the $250 bill i now have. Kennel cough is a bacterial infection meaning the cleaning in the play areas werent done correctly. overall disappointing experience

Next to no staff and the staff they have are all but useless. They don't seem to care. Asked an associate for a price on an item ( they literally looked at the rack....like I was apparently too stupid to think of that) and when they didn't see it they basically said oh well. Perhaps better training is required and a course on people skills. Sad thing is that all of the Petsmart stores in my area are like this. On a positive note, the associate on cash was quite nice.

I have taken my puppy into the grooming salon three times now since I got her as a baby last year, and Cassie ( her groomer) is just wonderful. The treatment my pet gets at this Stoney Creek location (Stonechurch Road) is exceptional. The store is beautiful, clean, full of anything that you would need for any pet and the staff are great. Thank you for making it a happy experience for my girl. As you can see she is relaxing after her lovely afternoon.

PetSmart Stoney Creek is by far THE BEST! Remi loves daycare and adores Abby and Natalie! All staff are so wonderful within the entire store. Melissa at the front cashier is always so helpful and The Manager Matt is great! Vicky who is their trainer is also AMAZING! Great team here and I highly recommend them! I am VERY picky with my animals and I always feel at ease while my pets are at this location!!!! THANK YOU EVERYONE!

Everytime I go in there, I know I will be greeted by very helpful, friendly and knowledgeable staff! Recently I had to return and exchange to a different kind of crate I have bought for our new puppy, who turned out to be quite a Houdini. Not only staff made my experience easy by suggesting/helping (to) me to return things easy, but lady in this picture carried a new crate for me in the store and then later into my car!

Horrible grooming services. They call me the day of 10 minutes before my appointment to cancel it. Then I go to my booked appointment and wouldn’t take my dog because he didn’t have a rabies passport and my vet didn’t give me anything besides a tag that’s on his collar to prove of his vaccine. The lady working at front was nothing but a rude person! Never coming here again! Couldn’t even give him a bath! Lazy people

Good selection in store. The grooming is good for my poodle. The groomers need to smile more and appear to enjoy their jobs. I don't like being berated and punished for being 7 minutes late to drop off my dog but then, made to wait without explanation or compensation when the groomer is not there or no one bothers to acknowledge that I'm even there. People skills don't cost anything except customer loyalty.

Update: Glad that this locations hotel is open again. The Lab will be back here soon and our Dobermann just had her first stay. It was nice to see some of the same staff here after almost 2 years! This is our go to place when we board our Chocolate Lab Kira while we head out on vacation. She's been coming here since she was 1 years old. She absolutely loves it here... Especially the doggy day camps lol

Stayed at the pet hotel and couldn’t be happier with our/ our pets visit. From the person helping me book over the phone all the way to the clerk who checked us out, it was a fantastic experience. I will be telling everyone I know about this service and how great it is. Our cats were calmer coming home than they were going in, which to us means they were well taken care of. Thank you!

If your dog growls when around new people - make sure u have a back up plan where to leave your pet!! I took in my shih poo, 2 girls approached him with a leash - he started to growl and they said they cant take him in. I had a flight the same day and thank God I found Escarpmemt pet retreat in Burlington who took my dog on short notice, otherwise I would have to cancel my flight.

What are fantastic store! I went in there not sure about what dog food I had to buy - and there were so many friendly staff to greet me and answer questions. The best customer service I’ve received in any PetSmart location. Their store was impeccably clean with all of the shelves stocked. Not only that - they helped me carry my items to my car. If I could rate 10/10 I would!

This PetSmart location is excellent. We have used their Pets Hotel a couple of times now (a few years apart) and we continue to be so impressed with the staff. They recognize our dog, recall interactions with him and genuinely care. Walking through the store they'll come over and greet us and our pup - very warm and friendly. That's super refreshing for a large chain store.

Go to this store often. Typically have problems getting service in the fish section. Also quite worried when I heard a staff tell a customer that they can put 3 bettas in a tank together. Tank customer had was maybe 1 gallon. But I have recently seen staff recommending larger tanks and better information about fish care. Hopeful they are moving in the right direction

Check the Billing Price vs Displayed This store is just fine and always found what I want. Associates do a good job with requests. My concern is with their billing practice, which I find unethical, displayed price and scanned price usually are different. I have experienced it 3 times and 3rd time I stood my ground by showing a pic, which they corrected.

We dropped our dog off for a two night stay. He came back well and happy. The staff were pleasant and professional, making sure the dog had all the necessary vaccinations to keep the staff and other dogs safe. From what I could see of their dog and cat care facilities, they provide a well supervised, safe and clean facility for the pets in their care.

Always a wonderful experience when we go here! Our pup Arrow drags us back to the grooming salon everytime we go to this location because he absolutely loves his time with Toni. He has also had a visit with Leesa and she was great with him too! Always very happy with the results whether he has gone for a bath and clean up or for a full groom!!!

Usually a good experience. Some things are priced rather high, but that's life lol Got a puppy recently. Found everything I needed, and more at PetSmart. Great $20 discount book available for puppies. Many coupons and free services in the book. Pictured is the name tag we got there, with a 3 dollar discount from the puppy book.

We have boarded our pet dog here multiple times. The staff takes good care of him. They even took him to the vet once when he fell sick while boarding. They also provide their own food if requested for a good price. The price is reasonable and the staff are very friendly. For longer stays, we prefer this location over others.

I never caught the guy’s name, but the store employee who helped us pick a new food for a dog was incredibly knowledgable and tremendously helpful. It’s really hard to believe how many dog food options there are on the market. We couldn’t have picked one without his help, and our pooch absolutely loves his new food.

I've been bringing my dog to Cassie for grooming since she was a year old. At 6 years old now, my dog is beyond excited to see Cassie every time I drop her off. She is a really great poodle groomer with care and attention to detail. Highly recommend if you're looking for a groomer with lots of heart and skill!

They were busy as usual was able to make an appointment for my dogs grooming and was able to get the same groomer as last time she is very good with my dog as my dog is getting a bit older now and needs a bit more attention. I am glad that I switched to PetSmart for our dogs grooming.

Totally ignorant and unprofessional. Ignored for 10 min in a stressful situation. Had complete paperwork with highlighted vaccinations Lady who ignored me for 10 min told me this paperwork ( from the vet ) was no good after being accepted on the phone prior to booking. Garbage service and unqualified staff

The store itself is large with a very wide selection of products. Staff were very helpful finding what I was looking for. Although there is plenty of parking, they were redoing sections of the lot so it was quite awkward to find a closer parking spot as a senior who normally uses the disability spots.

We bought a pair of White's tree frogs for my daughter a year ago. Still healthy and happy. Recently purchased MARINA ClearVIEW liquid background adhesive for my aquarium background. It sticks, it works! What a great improvement in background visibility, brightness and colour.

My pup gets groomed here on a regular basis. They are ALL so kind, professional, and loving. Esp Cali. They do an amazing job. A tad pricey but well worth. And they calm you and your pup since most have such high anxiety. Also the store has a great variety of product.

I have been taking my dog Daisy to groomer Briana P for the last few years. She is nothing but so amazing with Daisy! Daisy can get agitated at times and Briana is so sweet and makes sure Daisy is comfortable every time she comes in for a haircut.

Amazing service. Very knowledgeable as well. My kids fish died and I needed a look alike ASAP and they set me right up. Also recommend a heater because the fish is in the basement. Definitely an asset to Stoney Creek. Thank you to the whole team.
