I rang Peterpenny’s in an absolute state after an awful experience getting blonde highlights at another salon. I met with Micky and we spoke at length about what could be done. Micky talked me through every step of the process. This made me feel incredibly comfortable and 100% confident I had come to the right place! The end result was absolutely perfect - Micky saved me!! This was my first ever experience where the hairdresser also acknowledged that my hair is naturally curly and so didn’t dry it straight. I massively appreciated this. Micky gave me lots of advice about how to care for my coloured hair going forward and Penny also gave me great advice about dealing with curly hair! I had such a positive experience and I am so so pleased I came to Peterpenny’s. I’ll definitely be back in the future.

*Update: Just had another great haircut at Peterpenny’s! This time with Ewa. Part of me wants to keep this salon secret… They are all so lovely and friendly. This salon hits different compared to all the others I’ve been too… You really do walk out feeling relaxed and fabulous I put off having my haircut for the longest time as my previous hairdresser left the salon I went to. I always find it stressful going somewhere new with the risk of a bad haircut. I decided to go to Peterpenny’s based on the reviews and I can honestly say I had the best experience. Lelia was amazing and very attentive. She made me laugh and put me at ease. She even spent extra time curling my hair. For the first time, I left a salon feeling beautiful. I would definitely go back and recommend this place.

I am picky when it comes to my hair, and I know that it can be very difficult to find a really-good hairdresser/hair colourist in London who gets the coverage right, in a shade close to your natural colour with ammonia-free products. When I went in for the first time at Peterpenny's, I found a very welcoming environment and a lovely, friendly, professional staff. Lelia was my hairstylist, she immediately understood what I wanted and the final result was simply stunning. I've been getting my hair done by Lelia for more than two years now and I couldn't be happier. She is highly skilled, super friendly and always makes the whole experience very relaxing and enjoyable. Thank you, Lelia! You totally earned my trust, and my hair is always fabulous!

I have quite curly but fine stranded hair that is difficult to grow and style. I saw Penny who has similar hair to mine but a longer, healthier and styled version so I felt renewed hope. She went through what to do very carefully - I liked her attention to detail and explanation for everything that she was doing to help me meet my goals. She's genuinely caring and I'm very happy to finally know what to do after decades of searching but getting nowhere. I recommend her for people with curly hair - it's very hard to find someone who knows how to bring out the best in curls, and she also knows through personal experience what works and what doesn't.

The best hairdressers in Putney. Understated but a calm relaxing salon, lovely staff and the owners are just super. No Divas here. Leila has been looking after my thick hair for a few years now, I met her elsewhere and followed her to PeterPenny after a chance encounter in the High St. Leila is "simply the best" hairdresser that has ever styled and coloured my hair. My hair has never been in such good condition and complete strangers often kindly comment upon my hair. All thanks to Leila. My daughter in law now visits regularly as does my close friend who is also suitably impressed. I cannot recommend this salon more.

Once again an amazing haircut done at Peterpenny’s! This time I had Micky and he did an absolutely brilliant job! Did exactly what I asked for and he knew how to cut my hair type (the main reason I have gone to them for the past 3 years), and walked out proud to finally have my hair glow again. I honestly can’t recommend this place enough, they have excellent, highly skilled and professional stylists that are a delight to be around. Even if you don’t live near Putney, they are 100% worth the trip - you won’t be disappointed!

I have curly hair and tried many places to get the right haircut and advice. Not only do you get that here you get great tips and advice with such a warm personal approach. Penny knows her stuff and has always welcomed me with such professionalism and genuine kindness that makes you leave feeling happy about your hair as you should be-she’s simply great. I’ve found a salon for life and will always go back.

Great little gem in Putney. I had highlights done in June with Leila and I am very happy. Not even she went extra mile to fix the errors of another hairdresser who messed up my previous colouring, but she also made sure that I leave happy. The colour turned out great, she offered a great advice and I will be definitely a returning customer. Salon is tidy and very cosy. I would recommend it to anyone.

I am always nervous about finding a new hairdresser. My hair is unruly and there is a lot of it. I wanted to cut it short into a bob and have hassle free hair. Well, Ewa was very receptive. She listened to my request and gave good advice as well. Not only that but she has my hair looking fabulous and it is hassle free! I love it and as long as Peterpenny's is open I will be a returning customer!

Such a great hairdresser. It’s amazing that you can walk a minute away from the high street and pay considerably less for considerably better. There is a lovely feel to the place and they really care about you leaving happy- it doesn’t have the fancy interior of Edward James but genuinely believe the talent of the staff is better and that the price is way more reasonable. I could write a 10 page essay on how amazing Leila is, she is one of the best hairdressers I’ve ever met. Leila listens to everything you ask her, she creates the perfect blonde and is such a lovely person. I’ve been going to her for the last year or so and I can say she’s not only become a hairdresser but also a lovely friend. If anyone has the chance they NEED to get her 10/10

Loved it! At Peterpenny's salon I was attended to by Leila. I showed her the pictures of what I wanted and explained, and she confirmed her understanding with me, and gave me a fantastic haircut, preceded by a wash & condition. Besides the cut itself, which Leila made extra sure I was happy with, the whole staff was lovely and attentive. I 100% recommend!

My favourite hairdresser since moving to London 7 years ago. It reminds me of the late 90's and its perfect. Very cosy and relaxed. Albina just gets what I want with my hair. Moreover the prices are insanely good value. I recommend this place over anywhere else in Putney for a cut and blow dry. Haven't had colour done here so I can't comment

I am so pleased that I booked....I honestly haven't had a hair cut and colour this good in months and I have been trying a few places around the putney and Chelsea area. Peter washed and cut my hair. Have been going to this salon for some years, which is a measure of my satisfaction. My hair looks great, I suggested having a spikier fringe, which Peter immediately incorporated into my overall style. I always feel relaxed and comfortable on my visits. All good!

Had a lovely balayage but very crooked haircut with uneven layers. To fix it I had to cut it much shorter than I initially wanted. The place is nice though and they use good products.
