The store is great in terms of variety and cleanliness. The first time I went there I was seen to by a very helpful young lady, I didn't manage to get her name. She helped me buy my fish tank in good time and provided great service. I left with good knowledge on how to take care of my fish and the tank I was buying. The second time I went in to buy my fish. It was hard to get someone to actually help me, all of the staff were avoiding eye contact and I had to stop someone abruptly to ask if I can buy my fish. I was served by another young woman with a name I do remember. I'm not sure what the reason was but she had a very stale attitude. I have experience in retail and working in a store so I can understand certain things, long days, previous rude customers, other in/out of store problems. My partner and I tried to lighten the mood and joke around but she seemed determined to keep up the cold service. She was very short when it came to asking questions, very blunt when answering and straight faced. It was quite uncomfortable. She then approached us later to rudely say the store is closed. (funny thing is, there was 10 minutes until closing time). We took our fish to the till and again we had another rude staff member, no eye contact, no welcome, no thank you and have a nice day, she was constantly looking around at other people and she almost forgot to scan some of our items, the best part of her service was when she said 'sorry' for not scanning our items. . The whole experience was cold and very disappointing. Not sure what it was as we could see others being treated well but we wont jump to conclusions just like we won't be jumping at the chance to go back to this store.

After a bad experience is this store yesterday I have chosen to leave a review because I left quite angry. I had brought a gold fish starter tank from the company for my little sisters birthday. To then come back yesterday two days later and be spoken to very rudely by a female member of staff whilst I had my four year old sister in my arms she proceded to tell us that we can’t have any goldfish in the starter tank. Which I find ridiculous and I wish I had brought the tank back got a refund and not bothered with this shop at all. The lady was misinformed with bad information. And since this I have been to a local aquatic shop and got some gold fish for my sisters tank and they are all fine and happy. Luckily enough we finished her birthday on a high and it wasn’t ruined by a stuck up misinformed member of staff.

I think that they have decent supplies but I do not recommend buying pets from there, they are not socialised very much and a lot of the animals are from animal mills where they are bred in mass and majority of the time interbred, I bought a corn snake from there 2 years ago and recently he passed away, he had many problems eg not growing at all despite eating every week, not striking at all and not moving in the slightest. I think these poor conditions caught up with him. So I don’t have a problem with buying supplies from them, it’s just the pets that I have a problem with. (Not all are mistreated obviously this is just my experience and I think it would be better to just buy from breeders where they are cheaper and more reliable)

Made appointment and was given a time of 16.45 Friday, for dogs nails to be clipped. On arrival no record in system of appointment.Was asked if dog was registered with them they could not find it but we were on system for our former pets.we were told that no appointments are usually after 2.30.we could not understand why we were told to come at 16.45 if appointments finish at 2.30.there was no manager available to speak to until Monday. Next appointment was not until the middle of October! So to make appointment your pet has to be registered.When you turn up for your arranged appointment your pet cannot be seen! What a waste of our time.

Always liked shopping in here although today I had a bad experience had a long wait for a member of staff to help me I approached a worker called Joanna and she seemed very stressed out asked to buy 4 gold fish and was told I was only allowed one as this was there company "policy" even though there small 10 litre tanks had around 30 fish in. I'm sure I was told this as Joanna could not be bothered to serve us went to a proper fish centre after this and they said they had never herd of anyone just having one gold fish in a tank .... I feel that some workers just chose the rules themselves won't go back to this store again.

After having major trouble on the pets website, we visited the crayford/Dartford store. I'm not sure if he was the manager, but a guy called Steve was so helpful- he's a real credit to the company. Just to note- the pets at home website sent us 2 slashed bags of cat litter, a smashed food bowl, wrong box of cat food, then overcharged on what should have been a promotion. Also everything crammed into one box so it was a squashed and damaged. The DPD driver was awful in his manner too Well, lesson learned- I'm only ever going to the store now- the Web customer service is so bad it's ridiculous.

We thought our cat had been hit by a car and as he went to ground, it was impossible to make an appointment. I phoned Companion Care and Christine was extremely helpful and said to bring Tyler down once he came home. We were seen very quickly and he was given a very thorough examination by Zuzana Piliarikova who found sensitivity on his spine that would be remedied with an antibiotic injection and anti inflammatory syrup. Can't thank this practice enough - with grateful thanks, the Turnbulls

My local branch. Staff are always friendly and very helpful... when you can track one down... Weekdays are fine but on busy days you will have to wait around sometimes, for someone to help you, but if they're busy then that's how it goes . The vets are always super professional too I've found on the instances that I have required them. Can't go wrong really and it's a big old shed, with a grooming parlour on the upper level too

Can only give 3 stars. Not because of lack of cleanliness or lack of products or lack of knowledgeable staff - all those are fine. But a total lack of common sense by someone! Cats can be owned by people who are disabled, they don't need walking. Makes perfect sense to put all cat products upstairs! Yes, there is a lift but it is tiny. In reality, I will have to take my aunt elsewhere to shop for cat products

I like the large variety of products we can find there, and the staff is usually welcoming, so I was quite happy, until my last visit. I visited with my parents who don't speak English, and as soon as we entered the store, the security guy started following us, all the way until we were done shopping. It made us feel very uncomfortable, and I'm not sure I will visit again after being treated like a thief.

Asked about buying Guinea pigs on the phone and was told we could buy a £35 Guinea pig cage as we have a large rabbit cage already which we was going to move the Guinea pigs into but when we arrived they refused to sell us the Guinea pigs unless we brought another large rabbit cage and we we said we had one at home they started asking us for pictures… rude customer service absolutely disgusted.

Me and my partner brought our first pet in here 2 weeks ago ( little hamster ) he is adorable, they have a wide range of lovely pets and the staff are very friendly and helpful, a little expensive I would say but overall a brilliant service staff were informative of any questions we had and they treat there pets and customers with utter respect! Thank you to all of the staff at pets at home!

I spoke to a love man about getting a pair of hamster he was so knowledgeable I come away knowing what I should get and he even showed me some of the hamster as I wanted a pair. Was hars finding a staff member but when he come to see me he walked me through everything of the dos and don'ts. I will be coming back to the crayford to get my hamsters and everything else I need. Placed an order online and received no confirmation email or details of when i could collect my order. Tried to get in contact via email and had no reponse and the no one is answering my call when put through to the relevant department. Had no issue taking the money out of my account straight away though. Useless company that only get away with it as there is no real competition.

I liked this store. Not the biggest Pets at Home but we'll stocked and loads of offers on. We chatted to a couple of staff members who were very knowledgeable about dogs and gave us lots of tips regarding suitable puppy beds and food. Staff also gave us extra information about downloading the Pets at Home App which ended saving us money at the till on the day which was welcomed.

Absolutely disappointed! Brought fishes from here 2 weeks ago and most of the fishes have died already! I have previously owned fishes and also brought fishes from local pet stores where they have been fed a looked after well, I’ve never had this issue before. They clearly don’t feed the fishes or look after them well enough! Please avoid just go to a local pet store!

Went to buy some fish. Wouldn't sell us more than 2 tiny fish for a 50L tank? Acted all arrogant and rude. Like to get more than three fish you need a tank the size of a car? Madness. Also a lot of the fish were dead. They have tanks that hold 20+ with very little amounts of room? But my 50L tank is too small for more than three. Just terrible customer service

I took my dog there for a full spa treatment, while he came out all happy clean and shiny looking it was not till I got him home I noticed the groomer has cut one of his nail so low that the nerves are exposed and he let out a yelp when I was trying to look at it so God knows what noise he made when they actually cut him, I won't ever be using them again

These guys are always super friendly and super helpful. Today it was very busy in the store, I went in to get a cat tree for my massive cat, needed one that I couldn’t carry by myself, asked staff for help and the girl didn’t even bat an eye lid, she picked it up for me, took it to the till to ring me up, and even took it to my car for me. Super service

Have used Pets at home for many years. The staff are always helpful and friendly. The Vets are superb, with a special mention for Alice who guided us through a painful parting with our beloved Alfie a few years ago and now is tasked with doing the same for us with Maudie. We have nothing but praise for her kindness and empathy. A well deserved 5 Stars !

The stars are for the staff the tills who are always lovely. 4 times I have been in recently and ALWAYS out, or nearly out if bugs. This is a known issue to the point I was told to only come in Fridays on delivery day! Surely if every week they sell out ASAP, more could be ordered or 2 different days delivered? Crazy this hasn't been addressed

It's our local go to pet supplies shop and we love it! We get everything for our cat and puppy there. And the vets inside the shop are great! I would definitely recommend both the shop and the vets! Staff is super helpful and friendly and the shop is well stocked up and has great variety. We're lucky to have such great shop nearby!

Expensive cat booster vaccinations, £47.50 here, £40.50 Gravesend Vets4Pets and £33 Easicarepets Dartford. 2nd time I've posted this, they keep deleting it! Vet Manager Mr Short has the empathy of a house brick so don't expect any sympathy if anything sadly happens to your loved pet. Gemma on reception however is an angel!!

Pretty useless for your reptile needs, never have any stock even after delivery, they got a delivery last night so i got there when they opened this morning and still don't have what I need, this has happened multiple times and I end up having to travel all the way up to welling to the only decent shop I have found.

My review is for Companion Care and in particular a vet called Robert. He's very clever and knows his stuff, immediately had confidence in him and trusted his advice. Our Bulldog Lola likes him too! Joke off a shop can’t buy more then 2 fish and told to come back next week to get the other 2 fish and being water from my tank and to see 30 fish in a small tank when I have a big tank I will not be come back there again only went there because the one I go to for 2 years is not opening anymore

Selling Broken Rabbit Chews, have pointed them out to staff on multiply occasions, this is a disgrace, why don't they just throw them away, they are broken, trash but they just put them back, who is going to buy broken nibbles for full price, they must be insane to think anyone will buy these.

Absolute joke. I have a shih tzu and have been getting him groomed at pets at home since he was a baby. Now they are saying they need two people to groom him because he fidgets. This will cost £20 extra. Now they won't accept him unless there are two people available to groom him. Outrageous!

Has everything you need but the staff weren't all that helpful. The member that helped me was more interested in getting me to book in with a vet than just helping me find the flea treatment I asked for. She said it wouldn't work. Well, i ended up getting it anyway and it's worked perfectly!

They recently looked after our beloved dog Barney Short. All the staff Vets and reception were very caring, helpful and when the time came for our doggy to go they were amazing we have got nothing but praise for the way they treated our Barney and the time they gave us to say our goodbyes.

Great store with a handful of staff that are very helpful. My only issue is that not many coats/harnesses for my large dog ever seem to be in stock...I'm beginning to think this store might be exclusively for the pugs, french bulldogs and other small designer furries of Crayford/Dartford

The vets are second to none, the receptionists are always happy and in a good mood, the store assistants have lots of knowledge about animals, the ladies on the tills are always helpful and friendly, the shelves are stocked clearly and many items for animals, never had a bad experience

We love going in to Pets@Home Crayford. The staff are so friendly and helpful. We couldn't see the small bearded dragon, so we asked was he sold. The lovely assistant went and got the step ladder, there he was, on top of the leaves, watching us looking for him... We laughed a lot.

Usually pretty well stocked. Staff are friendly. Prices are OK, competitive enough to pop to rather than buy online. One big flaw is the constant queues. People also need to have better control of their dogs if they're bringing them into the shop, but that's not P@Hs fault.

Our dog was 13 years. Sadly she came to end of life. The vets are so very caring with our dog and helping us come to terms with what was happening. We’ve always been happy with the care they have cared from her being a puppy . Can’t thank all your staff enough. Well done.

Sadly the reason for my visit today was for my poorly elderly cat, who unfortunately had to be put to sleep, The vet was truly amazing showed so much empathy, clearly understanding how we were feeling, the reception staff were wonderful too, cannot find any faults at all.

I've never experienced a Pets at Home store as friendly, welcoming and helpful. I came out with everything I needed and more. What a fantastic place to go. Well done to all the staff working so hard during such trying times! I will certainly be using it again.

Had my furbaby here today for a full groom and to buy some dog treats,lady was brilliant with my dog as he was nervous,she gave him a lovely wash and cut,got treats as a reward! Lots of variety of dog treats at reasonable prices,all said a good trip.

Staff are always so lovely and kind they'll do everything they can do to help you! The staff also lift a 30ltr bag of wood chip cat litter into to my shopping trolly every couple of weeks before even paying because my stick thin weak arms can't LOL

They send me some coupons to my home. But when I try to use it. Staff at till said you cannot use it, it is not yours. She did not even check it before she said it. Coupon clearly have my name on it. Also If I cannot use coupon why send it to me?

Despite it being very busy, the staff were friendly, courteous and smiled when i payed at the till! ( Big thing for me!) Then as i had my dog, the security guy brought my goods out to my car. Well done all, hope you all get a good xmas bonus!

I have now been calling this vets for over 2 weeks and constantly get the engaged tone. The lady answered it on October 2nd at 14.25 to then put the phone on the side not talk to me but continue chatting away to a colleague. Not good at all!

One of my many go to places for my dog and aquarium stuff. There's a wide variety of bits and pieces available and you'll always find a good deal or too. The only trouble is that in the aquatics department some of the fish are ill or dead.

Very rude little women Sarah running her mouth if to someone who has owned guinea pigs. For years she is ignorant and talks like she a vet yet she works on the till. Don't recommend for Sarah rest of staff had manners shame she don't.

Great vets, always friendly and good advice. The store staff are very helpful as well and helped with advice for dogs diet. Had to have our cat put down, they sent a sympathy card which was very touching, highly recommend.

The store had the dog food I needed. My daughter wanted a dog basket & it had plenty to choose from. In the middle of the store there is a run for rabbits, with rabbits in. Murder trying to tear the kids away from them.

Usually good but sometime a bit pricey. Staff are helpful. They actually had some decent value 12.5kg of bird seed which seems to have been a bit of a rarity. Have used the vet service in the past which is quite good.

Most stuff is quite overpriced. They do have good deals but you really need to search for them. All the cat & small animal stuff is upstairs, which is really irritating. Put the reptile stuff up there instead.

Vet very good with my dog. she helped him after a car accident about six years ago and he had so much treatment and when saw her again he remembered her. I will always use these vets. They are simply the best.

The shop didn't have what we needed which was a Y harness in the size that we required. There was also a very funny smell in the shop. A staff member tried to help us as well but wasn't very knowledgeable.

Needed a specific flavoured cat food ( she's very fussy ) and they saved me from the grumbles. Grabbed enough to see me through 8-10 days. You just have to search around to find where has it at the moment.

Great place for pets and their owners. It's clear the staff love animals and tolerate all pets and their owners. Accidents happen and with a quick word to a team member no fuss a clean up was arranged.

I use this shop all the time for my pet care, but today's customer service was the opposite of the previous services. When being served this time, the man serving me was Rude impatient and Arrogant.

Good amount of products, as with everything prices are going up which is a nuisance, shame there isn't no marine anymore as i found them quite good and the workers were very informative when needed.

Like the brand and regularly shop in other branches but it is a pain at this shop to have the cat foods upstairs with only a small slow lift to get upstairs and choose the boxes we wanted.

Lovely shop, the animals in there are incredibly well looked after and cute, beautiful selection of fish, and everything in there that someone might require for their pet.

Very friendly staff , the shop was busy but they still let me look for my coupons even though there was a queue. I was very grateful for there patience and assistance.

Overcrowding of fish in some of the tanks, and aquatic plants can be found cheaper in many other shops in the area, Good for supplies like pet food/care.

Bought great cat climber there n cat fountain plus lots of other goods which were all in stick or easy 2 order. Friendly, helpful and efficient staff.
