My experiences visiting this store just gradually get worse. EVERY time I come in to buy food, they always try to get me to buy something else. Our GSD has allergies and the food I buy, is perfect for her. It’s very frustrating having to repeat myself to the associates. I took her for a nail trim and she came out with very uneven nails. Some nails weren’t even trimmed. I asked why and the gal who did it was apparently in training. They had a “groomer” fix them. Next trip for a nail trim, they tried to scam me! I had a free trim with my points and I TOLD her that. She then proceeds to tell me it’s $5... excuse me? I told her no, it was free with my points. She explained it isn’t free for the trim and grind ... I never asked for the grind? I wanted my free trim which is earned (a perk of coming in this store.) We took our Aussie for a groom yesterday and the lady asked us if we wanted him shaved ... SHAVED!! If they knew anything about the dogs they were grooming , you’d know you don’t shave double coated breeds as it ruins their fur. We had to them explain in depth what we wanted done. I come back to get him and they tried to ring us up without me seeing him. No way. I told her I’d pay AFTER I saw him because I was terrified she’d went ahead and shaved him. The attitude I then received from the cashier and the groomer was unacceptable. We are done visiting this chain and I will happily drive any distance for our food / grooming needs.

Terrible service. RUDE RUDE RUDE Meredith at the front desk. Folding towels was way more important than a customer in the pouring rain with two dogs in tow! I had an appointment at 9 am in which they confirmed with me over the weekend. I arrived with my 3 dogs for grooming at 8:48. It was pouring down rain. I grabbed two of my dogs and went to the door. The two girls that were in the store were standing at the counter folding towels. They knew that I was standing there holding 2 dogs in the pouring rain and would not open the locked door. I looked at the sign and they don't open until 9! They watched me stand there in the rain for 5 minutes. I knocked on the door and they looked up and nothing!!!! Finally soaked with two dogs I went back to the car. It wasn't until I got back in the car they came to the door. I was very mad at that point. Why would they not open the door 4 minutes early and WHY would you make an appointment at 9am for grooming if you don't open the door until 9am. Don't dog owners get there a few minutes early for their appointments? I feel sorry for Maria the dog groomer. I'm sure she gets paid on commission and Merideth decided yesterday not to open the door in the pouring down rain. They could of come to the door and told me they would not open the door until 9:01 so I wouldn't get soaked. NO instead they kept folding towels and ignored me!!! I will never go back again. RUDE RUDE RUDE!!!!

I’m so disappointed to write this review. That said, I wish I could give zero stars. I took my dog here today (Sunday) for a nail trim. We’ve been taking her here for the last few months for her nails because of its proximity to our home, despite previous inconsistencies in the quality of grooming... Never again after today. There were quite a few customers ahead of me; however, I was more than happy to wait for the groomer. As I was paying, the assistant manager took my dog to the back, for what I assumed, would be the groomer. Nope... the assistant manager did her nail trim. While I waited for her nail trim to be done, I couldn’t help but notice the staff’s lacklusterness and unpreparedness for the number of people and phone calls that occurred in the twenty minute time period that I waited. She came out and everything looked fine from far away. Once I got home, I noticed the unevenness of all of her nails. Jagged areas sticking out, some longer than others, etc. Two of her nails were bleeding. She hurt so bad that she didn’t even want to walk on the hardwood floors because her poorly trimmed and bleeding nails... If I had wanted someone without experience to cut her nails, I would have saved the money and time and did it myself. I will drive 45 minutes one way for a nail trim before I ever take her back to Pettersson Pet.

Absolutely horrendous experience! My dogs have gone here for almost 2 years and our last 2 appointments with them have been absolute disasters. My husband showed up to drop our dogs off and they told him we didn't even have an appointment and that I must have called the wrong location. I explained to them that I had booked the appointment while I was in the store and had a card with that date and time written on it. They reluctantly accepted my dogs. Before my husband was even able to get home they called him saying one of my dogs had bit their groomer and they needed to go home. HE HAS NEVER BITTEN ANYONE IN HIS ENTIRE LIFE!!! It sounds like they just didn't want to accept my dogs if you ask me! When my husband went to pick them up the groomer who was "bitten" even pulled my husband aside and told him that our dog was not being aggressive and that it was an accident but the manager saw and made him go home. Now I've been told by Jennifer there that he is never welcomed back. I, for one, am glad to never bring my dogs back there. What a terrible establishment. They were wonderful until they remodeled and lost Pam, the groomer who used to always do our dogs.

Terrible experience I want to pass along! Our regular groomer doesn't work on the weekends, and so due to my work hours I had to choose a different groomer. I tried go-pet-go on N. Oak. I called ahead for a bath, haircut and nail trim, when we arrived for our appointment they had only written her down for a bath and nail trim so the groomer proceeded to push the subject that they didn't have time to shave her because of their error. They were very rude to us and it was their mistake not mine! It was a very poor customer service experience and as a groomer your in the customer service business! I left the dog and went back to pick her up 4 1/2 hours later. Only to find a Terrible shave job, she's shaved in some areas with big stripes down to bare skin and others with an extension on the blade so very uneven! Nicks everywhere and she didn't shave any of her bottom, or her belly. Don't waste your time or money for a groom at this Go Pet Go! You can do it better yourself! We have contacted the store manager as well as the regional manager, but have not heard back from the regional manager.

We got excellent service and good advice by the manager. She was very helpful and knowledgeable. We also observed her giving personal attention (and she showed general interest) to several cstomers and one on the phone while we were there. She was impressive. I didnt feel like the checkout clerk was as committed as the manager... she rushed me through the transaction and I was the only one in line. (Probably because she thought we were just there to do a 'u wash" and not buy anything else.) When I asked about the rewards/promo programs .. I learned that while they retain some info...customers have to manually keep cards/receipts of "U-washes". I guess their system can't track that or you would think they would like to know all customer activity. We like the store and what they offer and when you get good service, how can you go wrong?

I took my pom in for a bear cut and when she was picked up it was NOT a bear cut. They shaved her and now she looks horrible. When I called for a refund they won’t give me one. They was supposed to call me back on Monday and never got a call so I called Tuesday and they said the GM was going to call me and here it is Thursday and no call from her so I called again and still saying no refund. They want to give me half off next visit but there won’t be one because of the bad job and all I have felt with. When I talked to Megan that gave her the cut she said she didn’t know what I was talking about. If you don’t know what something is don’t say or try and do it! I SO WOULD NOT GO GET MY PET GROOMED HERE! Matter of fact with the poor Business they have I wouldn’t give them any money. This place is a joke!! Here is a pic of her.

I recently came into Go Pet Go to find a food for my very sensitive and allergic dog. I was promptly greeted by an employee named Carlie. She was extremely knowledgable about everything they carry, which made my search so much easier. She asked me many questions to find out his specific needs. I ended up purchasing something that my dog loves and actually agrees with him. I cannot begin to tell you how valuable this service was to me and my dog. Also, the store was extremely clean and organized, which made me comfortable buying my food there. You have a life long customer now! Thank you guys so much for really listening to my concerns and being so educated on canine nutrition.

These people, Shelly and Maria, CONSISTENTLY IMPROVE MY PUP'S LIFE. I LOVE THEM. have been here for 3 weeks in a row, happier and happier everytime! So I gave Maria and the store she manages a try and I am SO GLAD I DID, Shelly (sp?) did an even BETTER job than the shop on Johnson Drive!! Thank you so much you guys! Today was a great experience, and we will be back! Thank you soooo much!! I wanted to add, that I thought it was really a big deal that Shelly noticed my dog is sweet, shy, nervous, but amiable as long as she can at least see the door to any room she is in, in less than 10 minutes she observed things I didn't know about my baby for a year or 2. Again Thank you!

Brought my dog in to have his nails trimmed and ground smoother. Less than two weeks later his sharp nails scratched while were playing. I took him in to ask they could fix what they should have done the first time -making his nails less sharp. They said they didn't do anything wrong that his nails had grown out since he was last there? In 10 days? Ridiculous. They said they would grind them down but that I would have to pay for it to be done again. Said no thanks.So they did a terrible job the first time and when I asked them to fix the problem, they refused. Will not be back. Terrible service from unhelpful staff.

We have been taking our pets to Pedderson for at least a year for grooming. We began experiencing cancellations or confusion on rescheduling with poor communication on changes. We had scheduled our last appointment for three dogs and arrived on time being told a groomer was not available that day for one of our dogs. The store claims they contacted us about the change of schedule and we have no record of being contacted. We were rescheduled for a few days later with a set time. On that day we were informed our dog was on a cancellation list for that day only. We just gave up and will find another groomer.

Fantastic! All of the staff is very kind and helpful. I have gone to 3 different locations of Go Pet Go/Peterson pet since I have returned to Kansas City. I had a magically fabulous groomer where I was living. A couple of the groomers did him cute but, nothing like the perfect groom. Then along came Shelly @the north oak location, spectacular job!!! So happy, I usually take him every 2 to 2 and a 1/2 months and do the mid time clean up myself with a couple of baths. I was back to Shelley in 6 weeks. That 1st picture is of my perfect groom. The others are Shelley, a little bit difference but amazing.

I would rate them higher because they've always taken care of my dogs but recently they haven't been very thorough in checking records for grooming. So after I could only get a Sunday appointment for both dogs one wasn't up to date according to them for shot records. And since it was Sunday there's nothing I could do until Monday and take more time out of the week. It's my fault for not making sure ahead of time but I would have thought in the three times I've talked to them this week someone would have pulled the file

I'm torn. Staff seems to know about foods but is kinda pushy. When I took my English setter here for a cut she came out with a chop shop cut. It was pretty bad compared to anything she had ever had before. They are convenient though and for the most part pretty good. I think the employees should be careful in discussing bsl with customers. It's too political and you don't know who has been affected by serious dog attacks or maulings. I almost broke in but thought better of it. Just saying very controversial topic.

We like the store and people. But they did a terrible job in grooming my dog. People claimed to be experienced and professional but I genuinely doubt that. I took the full service package (spa and grooming) and at the end of the day we got a call they couldn’t do much not even the nails because the dog is resisting. “Hello” you guys are doing her nails for last 1.5 yrs. Now my dog looks like as if she is attacked by woodpeckers. Now my dog is scared, sore and ugly looking. Terrible grooming service.

Update to my previous review... We took our Standard Aussie Shepherd to get his first professional grooming here. Amanda absolutely killed it! He has a ton of hair that mats easily and she made him look absolutely perfect! I would recommend this place again! Over and over again! We absolutely love this place! Everyone is so awesome and friendly! They are very reasonable and they have the best self dog washers with quality soaps! I would recommend this place a thousand times over!

This location was recommended to me by several in our neighborhood and the recommendations were spot on! We have 2 Maltese puppies and I was needing a groomer. We've taken our puppies twice and both times, the staff is friendly and loving towards our girls. The prices are also very reasonable and they do an excellent job with grooming! While I haven't bought any product, the store is clean and well stocked. I would definitely recommend the grooming services to others!

Very disappointed. I wear oxygen and was in the store 10 minutes, looking for a specific puppy food. There were three people at the register and no one asked if I needed help, which I did. When I spoke with the manager, her response was "What do you want me to do?" This store needs serious help with customer service. This is the second negative experience I have had in a short time. I won't be returning to this location.

I take Sig in for nail trims all the time! They do a great job! And he got a super cute free bandana today because Mom was wearing all Royals gear so Shelly said Sig needed some too!! I'm shocked he is still wearing it but he does like clothes. She also took care of his anal gland expression which I appreciate very much We love the buy 5 get 1 free on treats and all the dogs are enjoying their lambs ears.

I usually go to the Liberty location but the North Oak location had a opening so I brought my dog there. I had a girl (who I had a bad feeling aboutand went against my gut) and had her groom my dog. It was last Wednesday and my dog is still acting weird and not wanting to walk or even go outside to the bathroom I'm not happy about this at all! I've never had this problem with the Liberty location!

Very friendly, even when I'm running in at the last minute. They carry high quality dog foods and most employees are very knowledgeable about the different foods. I work with a rescue so I'm constantly changing foods depending on what dog I am fostering. They listen and advise on what they have available without forcing any particular brand. And love using the tall baths for stinky rescue pups!

Today was the last day that I just deal with being mistaken for the wrong person. I was treated extremely poorly because one of the employees couldn't bother herself with reading the name on the file. When she was told by a another employee she was in error, she continued with her rude behavior. No apology. Nothing. We have taken our pet there for 5 years. No longer.

The Service was as advertised and fairly quick even with walk in appointments. Prices were reasonable for pets supplies. Lots of pet treats available at pet height so they can sniff and pick at what they would like to chew on or eat. Was a little disappointed they don't have a referral network for others in the area that do things they don't, like training.

Most recent grooming not good. Our skid-dish dog always behaves for grooming (he snapped this time) has stray hairs all over that were missed. Our little one I guess had matted ears so shaved them (which is fine) but left all the rest of hair on head long, he looks so ugly. Not going back here for grooming. They smell better, but they look awful poor guys!

I was recommended through a friend, to take my senior dog to Go Pet Go, for grooming care. Jenny Noland took incredible care of my sweet girl until she passed away. I have since adopted another rescue pup and I am offered the same care and consideration regarding this pup's needs. The entire staff has always been so helpful. I won't go anywhere else!

We had a great first time experience at Go Pet Go in Gladstone! It was my 9 month old puppy's first time being groomed and the staff there were very considerate and helpful! They made my girl feel comfortable and did an awesome job grooming her! The price was reasonable as well! I'm so glad we found a place we can rely on for grooming our pup!

Go Pet Go has a fantastic philosophy of pet food and I can't stress enough how great it is! All the food is corn, wheat, soy, and byproduct free AND if the food has a recall it is immediately taken off the shelves and never sold again. High standard quality in the food as well as excellent groomers and staff! Jenny and Tonya are phenomenal.

Go pet go has a great u wash, with shampoo and conditioner that is fed right into the water hose. Perfect and easy for washing are 83 lb dog. In addition they have a drying room with groomer grade dryers. In addition, they have pet food that the research to be sure that it is never been recalled and has the proper nutrition for your pet.

This is a great place to bring your pets for grooming or to pick up some quality food for them. My kids really enjoy bathing the dogs themselves and I enjoy not having to clean up the mess from allowing them! Very friendly staff as well!! We went to Petco for many years, but can say we have not gone there since we started going here.

Edit: since my original review things have changed. We don’t go here anymore. I changed my grooming location. And wouldn’t go back. I wasn’t pleased with the new ownership. My new dog never set foot in Pettersson Pet. I've always had a great experience. We have Jenny groom our dog and she's fantastic. I wouldn't go anywhere else!

Just left here with my crazy goldendoodle puppy and 2 year old in tow. The staff here always takes it all in stride and never makes me feel bad about the craziness of my two little ones. This is why I come back here again and again, plus they’re wonderful with our pup. Thank you to everyone who worked today and dealt with us!

Love this pet store. Great inventory of foods, treats, and chews. They have a little of everything! The employees are all extremely friendly and welcoming. I've bathed my dog there multiple times and it's far more convenient than doing it at home. I also buy my dog's food, treats, and chewys there. Love this store!

I have nothing but good things to say about this grooming salon and this specific location. Everyone is very nice and accommodating. I take all 3 of my dogs here and have been for over 2 years. Great and fun place to see a rock show. It's one of the few that powered through the pandemic. If you're looking for clean bathrooms, this isn't the place for you. If you're looking for a fun spot to rock out, you won't be disappointed. It's very Sunset Stripish. Gritty, dirty, rock n roll bar!

I brought a long hair Siberian Husky to Pettersson Pet and it was the best decision EVER! No one wants to deal with a Crazy Husky! Shelly not only took her in and made my Charlie Beautiful, Shelly and staff were soooo nice! No need to look anywhere else! These ladies are Amazing!

The only place to go in the Northland for a large variety of quality, natural pet foods. Great customer service. On certain brands if you save your UPC's you can eventually get a free bag of food. Prices are comparable to buying online and a lot of times are less expensive.

I have never had a bad experience with Patterson Pets. Great dog food selection and they are always wonderful with my dog when he gets groomed. Always friendly and helpful. My dog, Reese, loves everyone there. Even the groomer! He leaves happy and looking quite handsome.

My favorite place to take my fur baby. Jenny is the best groomer EVER and I love the veriety of healthy treats, foods, flea and tick medicine and health supplies. The U wash is amazing too, a little pricy but very convenient. Glad to have this place close to home.

My Anatolian shepherd does not like baths at home. Took him here and he thought he was at the spa. Walked right into tub on the ramp, loved the wash, and even liked the drying room. Only takes one person to bathe him here. Versus 3 to get him in tub.

After 4 amazing grooming experiences with Pam, I was sad to learn she had left. Now when I call to make appointments, they're not available for at least 1 week because they're down to only 2 groomers. I've had to check out other locations.

Took our dog in earlier this month to be groomed. They did a wonderful job, and our dog seemed to have a good time in the process. Have been in several times and the staff is friendly and enthusiastic. Highly recommended!

My family is in quarantine but I still needed to get my dog's nails trimmed and they were very accommodating towards me needing to stay in my car and the service took maybe 4 minutes! Great people and a great job!

The staff here is very friendly, courteous and knowledgeable about the pet products they sell. The groomer, Shelly, is a highly skilled dog grooming. She is also approachable, friendly, compassionate and caring.

This place is a little pricey but my dog loves when he gets to go there. Even when he has to go see his friend Ashland to get a bath. She does such a good job, he always feels like a new dog when he leaves.

It is Tuesday morning and the website and sign in the window says open 9-7. Yet, no one here and lights out on this Tuesday morning. I drove 40 minutes to get my dogs food before we leave town tomorrow.

This was my first visit of many more to come! The staff at this location were very friendly and took the time to explain how the U wash stations worked and engaged with my pup as much as with me.

I've taken my puppy here a few times for treats and supplies. The staff is super friendly and makes good recommendations. Plus my puppy loves the staff and gets so excited to see his friends!
