Loved the greek salad, really refreshing with the classic feta cheese. Great way to cut through the heaviness of the meat and the pita. A classic side is the chips, wonderfully crisp and crunchy. It's my first experience with saganaki cheese and it tastes very similar to halloumi but less saltier. I love halloumi!! Fantastic choice. The reason why it's not full five stars is that I chose to have the lamb and it was decent. Wish the lamb was fattier, or flavoured more heavily, because it wasn't memorable. The few fatty pieces were my favourite (as fat is flavour!!), but otherwise was quite lean. Really a good opportunity to make an impact here. We got sat in an awkward lil place off the corner of the main restaurant area, where the tables were stacked neatly on each other. It looked a little bit neglected and we were worried about the service missing us. However, the waitresses proved us wrong! She was great and came by to top us up with water.

Another Sunday and after our usual game of badminton, we decided no more Asian food. Instead going for some Western meals. We did a look up for popular Parma Chicken and found this place. Service & Ambience [4] The place was packed even though is near 2pm. We got ourselves a table and menu given. Overall their service was good and quick. However we felt the table is a bit small for four sitting adult, especially if the table is next to the brick wall and it's like obstructing your arm movement. Food [4]. Since they are popular for their Parma Chicken, we ordered two. The others are Alantic Salmon and Fried Chicken Waffle. Generally, their Parma Chicken is good but we had better ones. The salmon tasted good and would recommend. Lastly the Waffle Chicken is nothing to shout about. And coffee is good too. As we felt full after the food, our tummy has no space for their cakes, which look appealing. Perhaps next time.

Used to be an occasional customer until last night. My experience for the attention of the management: 1. Taste and quality of food has dropped severely compared to before. The kitchen staff has changed for sure; 2. Drinking glasses remain dirty after long term wear and tear. Honestly don’t feel like drinking water in it; 3. The male staff member at the counter thinks he’s funny. He’s unprofessional. I also found him being cheeky with the female staff member at the pay counter during my last two visits; 4. The in-door speakers are terrible music sounds really annoying rather than entertaining. My family and I came over for a celebration but did not end up enjoying the food and experience at all.

A great one stop shop for food and dessert. Honestly can’t go wrong with anything on this menu. Everything is well cooked, well proportioned and full of flavor. If we had to choose one food from the menu it would definitely be the ribs as the bbq sauce has a mild Smokey flavour to it which is different. However, in terms of dessert hard to pick just one as they are all amazing. It does get very popular and the wait time can be long so make sure to arrive a bit earlier than peak hour or book! This place is definitely one of those places you need to come back multiple times to try different items on the menu.

Loved the wide variety options of waffles or crepes choices with a decent portion to be able to share the dessert between two people after dinner. Staff were amazing here letting us know estimated times when tables will be freed up and then when available to quickly prepare a table for you with menus, cutlery and making us feel welcomed. Main dinner dishes, hot and cold beverages, desserts and alcoholic beverages. This place can tick all the boxes to meet groups dining requirements. It's packed for a reason and would highly recommend this place even if it's a minor wait outside for 5-10 minutes for a table to be available. Will be coming back.

Came here for dinner with friends after a recommendation from a friend. Beautiful decor really welcoming restaurant staff and accommodating for our baby and pram. The food was absolutely incredible didn't take long at all. My partner had the brisket and I had the Gnocchi and there wasn't one thing I could fault food was absolutely beautiful so tasty the brisket was soft just how it should be. Makes me miss living in Melbourne. Unfortunately we didn't get to have dessert as someone had our table from 7pm Compliments to the chef's We will be back.

Piatella is a go to for late night desserts. Have only ever come here for their desserts (mainly their waffles) and they have never disappointed. There are many tables with outdoor seating as an option if its ever super busy. The service here is quick and friendly. Have tried a couple different waffles and my favourite is the Apple Pie Waffle. Their butterscotch sauce is so good. This place has massive portions and they're waffles are especially filling. So make sure you save room for dessert or even share a plate between a couple people.

Update 23/9/2023 Had the big breakfast and it's awesome. Portion was generous. Good to share between 2 people. ======= It's the place to go if you are looking for a place that provides a great selection of cakes, waffles and crepes for dessert around Kingsway area. We had the chocolate lava cake and the waffles which were delicious. Portion size of the waffle was big in my opinion. Could probably have 2-3 people sharing one. The only disappointing thing was that it states on the menu that the waffle comes with maple syrup but it was served with golden syrup instead, hence I rated it 4 stars instead of 5.

I recently visited this Piatella and was blown away by the delicious waffles and the scrumptious butterscotch sauce. The waffles were cooked to perfection - crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. What's more, the service was top-notch. Bigger on the inside, this is quite a busy cafe in the middle of the strip of shops and restaurants. Service was prompt and polite, a range of options for breakfast, lunch, and later meals with quite a selection of treats in the cabinet. Hot chocolate was good, not too sweet but with a rich flavour. I have been a customer at Piatella for many years and here is why. 1. The service. I have been served by several waitstaffs over the years and most of them are nice , accommodating and friendly. That’s a big YES for me. 2. My family always have some desserts e.g. cakes , pancakes, waffles etc. with coffee. They all are generally delicious and consistent. 3. Brunch has always been absolutely delicious here. The service can be a hit or miss, been a few times. One time we were ignored for a good 20minutes, I had to flag the waitress down. Other people were getting served before us even though they came after us. After this incident I haven't been back until recently. Ordered the King tower which was really good. Matcha latte was perfect!

Fantastic. Absolutely loved the atmosphere with friends of old and new, meeting and enjoying the day. Food was brilliant, amazing assortment of pastries paired with your favourite hot beverage. But alas, the shamshuka was to die for, just a little too sweet for my taste. Otherwise, there are no flaws in sight. Pictured is the big breakfast. Feels like it's gone down a little in terms of quality/quantity for the price, could do with a little more bacon, mushrooms or the other side of the sliced tomato/sausage. Parma was ok, was a bit hard in the corners, chips are nice as though with the dip. Service was nice and as expected, though there is now a 7% weekend surcharge.

Nothing can beat having brunch outside in a summery weather! This place is popular and busy on weekends. It’s got a very good spot, where you can just parked car on Kingsway and walk in. It was so nice and joyful to have brunch on the lawn.
