"This is my go to boutique for gifts for anyone"
I simply adore this place. They’ve got a little bit of everything—clothes, books, jewelry, candles, and gorgeous plants, among many others. There’s an entire children’s section with a wide assortment of books and stuffed animals. There’s a large craft area where you can build your own little succulent garden or terrarium, complete with a variety of 1” succulents in individual containers. Tables of gifts and knick knacks are organized by colour scheme, making it very easy to pick out decor my colour and style. There’s also a whole open wall rather than a door, and a huge window that opens to the outside. It’s a seriously cool spot worth checking out. Personally, I come for the plants. Every plant in the store can be purchased (except the wall of hanging plants near the open window). There are lots of potted and hanging plants out on display around the store and hiding between/behind merchandise. I enjoy making my rounds and inspecting all the plants, happily surprised to find big bushy happy plants hiding behind books or tucked into secret corners. I don’t know how the prettiest ones always get hidden, but it feels like finding buried treasure. And for around the same price as garden and home improvement stores, you get a much fuller, healthier plant. This place is a little self indulgent treat for me just because the types of merchandise are so vast. It’s definitely worth checking out—there’s a little bit of something for everyone.
The shop is super cute and designed well with plenty of interesting things to look at. Customer service is not designed as well, unfortunately! At best, the staff is neutral. I was behind my young teenage daughter as we entered the store and I had a long view of the greeter today essentially glaring at her and slowly looking her disdainfully up and down. I’m really not sure what the reason for it was, but it was a long and decidedly unfriendly look. When she finally greeted me, and as well before we left, I got “smiles that didn’t reach the eyes”. I’ll never understand why retail staff decide to demonstrate that they feel so superior to their customers- and why they feel that way- we’re the paying customers after all, not the paid employee. ♀️ Not to mention, as a greeter, isn’t their job to make you feel welcome...? I do enjoy the Liberty Station location and have never had any issues with the customer service there.
what a fantastic store...i can see why its so popular! you can blow A LOT of money here if you are not careful. my sister has recently become obsessed with succulents and wanted to check this place out while she was in town. wonderful gift ideas and home decor items. i walked away with 3 air plants and decorative sand. i had been interested in air plants since I first discovered them at a friends all over her house. they are AMAZING and the perfect little low maintenance plant for those hanging blown glass orbs. ive really struggled with what to put in my existing ones which kept getting algae with other plants needing constant water. finally a lasting solution! i dont know the going rate on air plants but the 3 plants (2 small and 1 large) + sand cost me $15. they have a large selection of them and give you care instructions. the space is very inviting and the staff is super nice. highly recommend checking out.
How to best describe this place. Women, girls and hipsters all love this place in North Park. Ok guys love it too. It makes shopping for the women and girls easier. The energy is always positive because of all the plants such an amazing selection of air plants and potted plants. The stuff that they sell is curated well from things you would not see at department store chains. This is definitely a boutique, 3000 ft.² shaped like a square is the area where they have transformed the space into a shopping destination for those who are looking for things that are not easily found. A great place to go gift shopping it’s dog friendly and they rarely have sales because their prices are reasonable. Highly recommend visiting the spot if you’re in North Park San Diego and want to see something cool you haven’t seen before.
This is my go to boutique for gifts for anyone... including myself :) It’s my favorite place to find beautifully made, unique, and understated jewelry. I like that they carry a lot of demi fine jewelry pieces. I’m not a big fan of costume jewelry, but obviously I don’t always want to wear fine jewelry with casual outfits. Pigment always has a great ever changing selection of delicate, quality pieces with a whimsical touch. My friends and family always love the pieces I pick out for them. Also a really great place to find specialty baby clothes. If you are looking for something unique that you probably won’t find on the registry, there are some adorable options here. Extra points for the fact a lot of the clothes are made from organic cotton or other sustainable textiles.
I want this store to be my home! I love everything in Pigment, and have been buying myself and friends gifts here for years! It is a Rifle Paper Co collector's dream! They have a wonderful selection of items that will allow you to find something for anyone you are looking to buy a gift for! You can find affordable items, as well as unique things for special occasions. Their children's section is so cute! We absolutely love their book selection. I recently bought decorations for a Rifle Paper Co themed baby shower, and I was so happy with the result! Those streamers are the cutest! The service is always exceptional and friendly. I want Pigment to take over the world; it would be a much more lovely place! ♡ I love it here!
So crazy with Pigment! Right when I walked into the store, my eyes were full of hearts. Pigment is certainly my desire store due to the fact that they've obtained every little thing I love: plants, home style, and also charming knick knacks. It is definitely an aesthetically pleasing store. I'm impressed with the numerous rubber trees they sell right here. I have constantly been looking for a Ruby Rubber Tree and also they've got it here. They also have a \"make you own\" delicious arrangement, which sounds enjoyable! Just how I want we had pigment near where I live because I would most definitely see the shop regularly. Following time I visit San Diego, I would absolutely come back and purchase the plants I desire!
Beautiful little local shop in the heart of North Park. It's cute and clever and absolutely Instagram worthy. They have environmentally friendly products such as so candles and they have an amazing succulent wall. You can also build your own succulent if you choose and everyone there is happy to help and so knowledgeable. My one caveat is that it's pricey. Candles go for around $25 and the succulents are super expensive as well. Definitely go with some money in your pocket otherwise you won't be able to afford anything. They also have nice minimalist jewelery for those with feminine taste and there's a small corner of the store with traditionally masculine taste.
Super overpriced, I’m talking $10 for a hair clip when the exact same one is $8 for a pack of 10 on AMAZON!! They claim to be a small business and carry local items but most of their stuff can be found on Amazon for a fifth of the price. They’re trying way to hard to be edgy with the bongs and vibrators, gross - there’s a child area 10 feet from them! Really bad customer service, extremely hard to get anything fixed or replaced. Snobby employees who only hawk down people and make them feel uncomfortable. I’d much rather overspend at sage sisters that’s down the street.
I will never return to this establishment, as my group of friends was racially profiled during our visit today. We were the only Hispanics inside the shop and the only male employe decided to follow us everywhere for the 10 minutes we were inside. We all had the intention of spending $100+ each here but after witnessing this we decided to leave and go to the shop across the street. If you’re a minority you will not feel safe here. I do recommend Artelexis one block behind this address they had amazing customer service and no one followed us around the store.
I’ve been shopping at Pigment for years and their merchandising is great. However, I’m just tired of their customer service. From the moment I walked in to the moment I went to check out, just a matter of moments ago, I was being followed and watched. This has happened to me on several occasions and I thought perhaps things will get better, but it just doesn’t change with this store. Being a brown woman always makes me feel like I have a target on my back when I come here. Not a welcoming store, if you are indeed, actually pigmented.
I've been to the store a couple times and its so easy to fall in love with everything they have here! But this time I came with the intention of purchasing a succulent centerpiece or maybe making our own ( I was with my husband) the staff was super sweet and helping "plant" and create this little cute display step by step also teaching us about the care that its required which isn't much. I highly recommend and its a cool experience and it turned out cheaper to create our own!
Awesome store always full of great, funny and witty stuff if you're looking for a gift for someone else or even yourself this is the get off the routine place you should stop by. Some people may consider prices are above the expected but trust me the stuff are worth the price and in many cases you're helping artists and handcrafts from small businesses (non local) with your purchase compared to big name brands that they don't offer you the same personalization and experience.
I live in San Diego and I love going to this store. It's always such an amazing experience. The products at Pigment are always so unique. I love buying gifts there for my family and friends. They also have a super cute kids section with clothes, accessories, furniture and books. I would recommend to follow them on instagram to see their latest inventory. It's also a great place to come with kids for their story time (they usually announce when it will be on instagram).
Love this place. We bought two of the premade plant globes and they are absolutely gorgeous. Now we just keep going in and finding more awesome stuff. Super cool shop for plants and the like! On top of all that their customer service is absolutely top notch and they stand by what they sell. We had an issue with one of our globes and they’ve been nothing but absolutely perfect with their customer service making sure we were satisfied with our purchase.
My brother brought me to this store, for it's selection of succulents. Thank you brother. The staff was wonderful. The selection was great. I don't remember the girls name, who is in charge of assisting with the succulents, but bravo Pigment. She has great customer service skills, she is very well informed on the products she is selling, and she is incredibly patient. Thank you for providing soil and work station for succulent enthusiasts as myself.
My Wife and I are from Jacksonville Fl. And while in San Diego came across this place as it was a meeting spot for a local tour. My wife and I went inside. Now It is laid out more to the females, but the staff made us both feel very welcomed. We had conversation's with several of the staff sharing their great knowledge of the item's with us. My wife spent roughly $75 dollars for items before leaving. 5 Star +++ Staff and Store!!!
I had no idea what I was missing until I walked into this store. From chocolate to awesome bottles that keep your drinks hot forever, to books and clothes, this place has everything you could ever want to gift yourself or another person. They even have a whole wall dedicated to DIY potted succulents. It is the perfect store, my go-to place every time I need a gift for someone. The staff are also incredibly friendly and helpful.
I love this place so much that I wish I could live here. I wonder if they'd consider renting it out on their off hours? :) That being said, if you haven't had the chance to shop here, go there today! Every item is carefully curated and displayed with the utmost care. They have so much goodness, it's hard to even explain it all... from magical air plants to amazing furniture.... You've got to check it out for yourself!
I absolutely LOVE this place! They always have the cutest decor and plants and it's constantly being updated throughout the year. I pretty much always go there for my greeting cards, and their prices on air plants and succulents actually aren't that bad! There are definitely some spendy items, but when you're in the mood for some retail therapy, this place doesn't disappoint!
OMG this store blew my mind when I first walked in. I've never seen so many brightly colored furniture, kitchen accessories, paper goods, jewelry, make your own succulent pots, glassware, clothes and more. I absolutely fell in love with everything in this store. Great place to pick up cards, baby shower presents, bar accessories, housewarming gifts and so much more!
This is the cutest plant shop ever! I really appreciate them being open right now, so thank you Pigment people! Shout out to Sammy for answering a million questions I had about succulent care, and for helping me find the perfect pot and soil for my Haworthia retusa (plant purchased elsewhere). Will be returning again and again, and struggling not to buy EVERYTHING
Hands down, my happy place This place is inspiring and well thought out in detail and selection. I love that there is a wide range between price point to make a little bit of something attainable. The staff is sweet, welcoming and well informed, and I get the perfect amount of space for my browsing! My favorite haven in all of San Diego; I'm so lucky
Interesting products, ridiculous prices, terrible return policy. Beware the return policy as they don't tell you you can't get your money back till after you buy something. It's apparently for store credit only, and plants AND PLANTERS are final sale. Very frustrated as I way overpaid for something that doesn't look as good in my interior as I was hoping.
I visited Pigment while on vacation, and I’m so upset I don’t live closer so I can shop more often!!! The store is merchandised beautifully with natural lighting, which makes it so pleasant to browse. I’ve also ordered online during the pandemic, and they put such care into packing the plants so they’d survive the journey. I hope to visit again some day!
One of, if not the most beautiful stores I've ever been in, it's obvious the amount of hard work that is put into each corner of the shop. I loved the atmosphere and the staff was so friendly and helpful. I live in Cincinnati but every time I am in San Diego, visiting both shops is the top of my to-do list. You will not regret going in there!
This is my favorite store in North Park. They have so many awesome brands, like Rifle Paper Co., and sell so many beautiful things for your home. Lots of plants, like succulents and air plants. Some items are a bit too pricey but staff is really nice and it's so relaxing and gorgeous inside. Lots of feminine indie and boho feels. :)
Pretty nice shop with unique gifts (many San Diego related which is awesome) and lots of succulents. Some stuff was pricey, but that's expected for a boutique shop like this one in North Park. They have a free "photo booth" inside that you can have fun with & a cool California Dreamin' neon sign that can be viewed from the outside.
Hip joint for all your decoration needs. They have some stationary pieces and unique gift ideas. Their keystone items are a bit pricey but they really stand out. The thing that stands out the most is their collection of succulents and cacti that can be used for any occasion. They have supplemental pots and decorative fauna
I absolutely love this store. It is adorable. The stuff is amazing!! My only complaint is that it is a little spendy. I may have fallen in love with a stuffed tiger that was the softest I had ever pet in my life. I carried it around the store but couldn't convince myself it was worth $65. It made me so sad to put it back.
Beautiful store with ecclectic and trendy items. It makes you feel cuter just walking through. They even have a little photo/selfie spot. I'll be coming back to do one of their workshops soon. My only complaint is that they are slightly over priced...but I definitely don't care becaue everything is adorable and perfect.
I love shopping here for cute little gifts or cards for friends, plus the occasional new succulent for my collection. Everyone here is nice and helpful and the gifts range from unique and quirky to trendy and chic. I could easily spend a whole paycheck here, so I have to be on my best behavior when I visit!
Super cute gift shop full of eclectic items such as small knick knacks, locally made products, unique furniture, and design your own mini plant containers. It's the kind of place that adds unique character to North Park. Could spend lots of time just browsing. Price is a little more than other shops though.
This is the absolute DREAMIEST store! I love when they have new items, sometimes a little pricy but even just walking around the store can raise your spirits :) I’ve made multiple succulent combos there and their plant experts are all so amazing! Will always go to and recommend this store ❤️❤️❤️
Wow this is the cutest shop ever! I feel like they brought in all my favorite brands annd some. Take a look at some of the photos I posted of it It's the perfect place to buy a gift too! I just wish it was closer to us so we can collaborate with them and come in well every day. …
I love this store. I pick up something every time I go in to just browse. Never regretted it though. They offer so many cute things and succulent gardening. They even have a baby section♡ I will support this business for however long its going to be around, hopefully for a very long time.
Fun to walk around and some of the plants are reasonably priced, but I feel like this place is specifically geared towards millennials (the selfie spot with special lighting supports this notion). A bit overpriced for most of what they carry, but still a fun space and worth a browse.
Super cute shop with succulents and other house plants. Also has adorable candles, books, clothing, jewelry and some baby gifts. Great place to check out and look around if you’re in the area. The employees were very friendly and they make succulent arrangements for a decent price.
If you’re visiting North Park, Pigment is a must see. Filled with beautiful gadgets of all kinds you could spend an hour in here. It’s a little pricey, but some items are worth it. Don’t forget to take your photos on the side of the building with the pink ombré or living wall.
This store is amazing. They are constantly switching things up yet it always looks absolutely stunning. If you're looking for a place to get a gift pigment is where you want to go. The staff is also super helpful and always friendly. A little pricey but definitely worth it.
Fun store full of gifts of books, jewelry, plants in glass bulbs, and other knickknacks. It has a little section of gifts for kids too. The staff has always been kind on my visits. One drawback for me is that their cards are expensive and not my style.
Very helpful every time I go in. They really do go out of their way to make sure everyone is doing okay and answering questions. They are very pleasant and they definitely know their merchandise. Multiple times here and its always a great experience
I received a gift certificate card for Christmas in December and I went for the first time. I do a lot of crafting and this is the perfect place to pick up craft items or learn new. As far as my opinion it's more pricey than what I expected.
This is the cutest place! I would live here if I could (and had endless dollars). An awesome place to buy gifts for people you really love. They have a living wall with a photo-op booth, but the software on the camera tablet was incredibly
DO NOT BUY JEWELRY. It’s cheaper quality than most regularly cheap jewelry. The gold tarnishes incredibly fast (like a few weeks) and you’re left with trashy-looking copper. It’s priced $60+ but is truly worth $15 maximum. Should be better
I love this store so much! They have such beautiful, chic high quality items but the best part is their customer service is amazing both in store and when you order online (fast shipping and great communication). I couldn’t ask for better!
Great finds. Wonderful collection. All sorts of colors to entice everyone. Can find things from cups to cards to stuffed animals. Best of all you can design your own succulent and air plant garden. The items are on the pricier side though.
This store has cute plant pots, stationery, candles, tumblers, etc. Everything is organized by color and you could spend a ton of time looking at all of the interesting things they have. It's a pricey store, but if you're willing to spend
darling shop. mean spirited management. If I were rating based on the ambiance, product lineup, and general staff attentiveness, I would happily give a 5 star review. Unfortunately, when I visited the shop today I saw an ugly side of the
This place is super cool. They have lots of little trinkets, fun art things and a whole portion of the store for building your own succulent/cactus arrangement. Great place of you are looking to add some flair or shrubbery to your home
Every time we go to Pigment we experience the best customer service. My son and I put together a tiny succulent garden and the person who help was so kind and patient. They have such fun items! It is the place to get a unique gift.
Oh how I love this place. There are so so many great little gift items, cards, etc. but you can also make your own succulent arrangement which is so fun. The people are always super friendly as well. Items are a little bit pricey.
This store is so fun. So many good household items to choose from. The online store is also great if you can't buy any item right away. They even sell the plants online. Really hoping to come back here next time I am in San Diego.
Great place to find unique trendy items. It is on the extensive side but the displays are well done. Just being there is an experience. They also have an awesome collection of air plants and accessories to make your own planter.
I love this place! It was so cute and was sort of sorted by color, hence the name. They had items in a range of price points. I got a candle for only $6 and a gold plated ring. Such a cute selection of items I wanted everything!
Great gift shop, a wide variety of higher-end home items, apparel, as well as some more affordable "fun" stuff. They could use some more card choices, but the cards they do have are all pretty cool. Friendly and helpful staff.
It's eye candy the moment you walk in! You just want to buy everything!!! Love how you can build your own succulent arrangement with so many adorable options! The tillandsias were very healthy when I saw them and gorgeous!
Nice shop. Lots of rare finds that are on trend. They have a large assortment of cactus and succulents for cactus lovers. They have a photo booth available on site too. Would recommend visiting if in the neighbourhood.
This place is so dang cute! I love just wandering around to look at the fun products, the succulents in the back, household decor, gift products. Perfect place to get gifts for people who are tricky to shop for.
Lovely shop in the heart of San Diego! It’s a bit pricey in my opinion, but a great place to stop if you’re looking for a gift or some beautiful decor! They also have an impressive collection of greeting cards!
This is one of the coolest places in North Park to buy interior home decor. Very bohemian and post modern style. Clean retail area and friendly staff! Their variety of plants are plentiful and healthy looking.
Cute shop to get a plethora of things. From plants, to clothes, to cards, makeup, jewelry, furniture??? Random things. Everything is cute. Perfect place to shop for a gift. Their shop is very cute!
really great store with a wide range of plants, pots/planters, clothing/accessories, and homeware goods. everything is beautiful and well made and all the staff are lovely too. favorite place!
What a beautifully made store- so much color & the best selection of indoor plants & succulents. Lots of holiday stuff and a friendly staff. Found a few nice house plants and pots.
I’ve spent too much money here, but I love everything. Great plants, cute pots at good prices, fun posters, cute cups, local jewelry. My favorite place when I need time for myself
Cool place! Daughter always asks if we can go in this pace and I always say no. But today I stopped in on my own. Cool items. A little over priced but interesting and cool things
I love this place! Such unique things, gifts or eclectic decor for your home. My husband bought my engagement ring here! Shout out to Kasia, the most beautiful designed jewelry.
Love this store! Everything you need to create your own terrarium as well as lots of beautiful terrarium inspiration in-store. They also carry tons of cute home decor and gifts!
Super charming store with a helpful staff. Prices are higher than going to a garden center but you're paying for the aesthetic and location. Like if Tiffany's sold succulents.
Cool little boutique with fun stuff. Leaning towards 'chick' stuff. Great gifts for friends that they actually really like & use. Just got a fun 'Boss Babes' activity book.
Lots of trendy home and gift options. Not cheap but you can always find a nice gift at this store. The staff try to be helpful as well. A nice vibe in a fun part of town.
I love this shop! So many cute things! I can be in here for hours. You can make your own succulent arrangements. Shop for home or gifts. Cute modern shopping. Love it!
Always a great place to stop by for gifts or something for yourself. It’s a cute store that’s focused around household items (decorative rather than
A picture perfect place full to the brim with beautiful things! Everything in here is Instagram worthy and the vibe is expensive millennial chic.
Awesome little shop! Would be great to come to for gifts or favors. Plus, they have everything to build your own Succulent or Air Plant gardens!
Very cool and unique plant and gift store. Very unexpected eclectic store that you should check out if you are anywhere near there.
Gorgeous shop with welcoming workers! I want to buy everything. Definitely a great spot to shop for gifts or to treat yourself.
I always stop here when I'm in the area! A must for plant lovers, quirky cards, gifts, candles, arrangements, etc.
White girl heaven! Make your own succulent bar. So many cute things and the staff is super helpful and friendly!
Always lots of cute seasonal items! Friendly staff, good music. Always stop by when I’m in the neighborhood.
Better in person than I expected. I love this place. A couple of my plant babies from Pigment.
Someone took Instagram and made a store. Such a fun find! I took home lots of unique goodies.
I love this store I have to go here every time I’m in San Diego
