I have a card attached to this account that was a direct payroll account. 3 months ago I no longer work for that employer and I have repeatedly asked Planet Fitness to remove this card and they refuse to do so. They keep telling me that the policy is that I need to have an active checking account even though I insist on paying cash a few days early they won't accept it last month I got 2 overdrawn fees and one annual maintenance fee I ended up paying roughly about $100 today I'm being told that I still cannot pay cash they still cannot remove my card and I cannot pay at the Stone Oak location I have to travel all the way to the west side in order for me to do so. With this gym it seems like guidelines and rules for one don't apply to the other I keep getting contradicting information I was told that if a manager was to contact me it's going to take 3 days so far no help they keep debit in my account no one's able to work with me it's funny how I'm trying to pay I want to pay I want to pay early but it's got to be done by their rules to their guidelines so let's see when they debit again or try to debit again how much more overdrawn fees I'm going to have this is ridiculous poor customer service absolutely horrible customer service.

I had an appointment @11:40 am today to have my hair cut.Lady name <> who cut hair, she has her own things to do. I cut my hair once in two month. This is my third time cutting with her and tips her each and every time. While she was cutting my hair, she cut my ear and bleeding and hurt really bad and I have took photos. I requested to have my side lock to be pointed and she starts giving me, what is pointed means, I wish I could record. I keep explaining her about what is pointed and want my side hair thinner and she told she have experience of 16 years in hair cutting and it is going to be like this, but she does not want to listen. She need to take classes for customer, In my opinion, if someone doesn't like to work, they have to take day off or quit job. She was very rude, but still I tips her but less than last time. Let's see what the management will do next time? If the management request the pics, I can send.Everyone who had a haircut, please share your experience about her, so we can avoid.

It's pretty good. I have a membership here and gold's gym. I love the massage beds. They are amazing. But a 7 minute limit. Then you have to go ask them to start it again. ( 7min is not long enough) the tanning beds are nice. I don't like the massage chairs but other ppl do. Also I don't like the music the play here it's really lame gym music. Bring headphones. They do haircuts here, I haven't gotten one yet so I will redo this review once I get one. They have unlimited personal training here. That's cool. Gold's only does a 1 time, 1 hr, then they want a TON of money to continue. I am disappointed they don't have a pool here, or at least a hot tub. Gold's has a lot more to offer, day care/ pool/hot tub/water slides/ cardio theater(that's pretty dope) but charges a LOT more$$$. None the less. I like this gym(Planet Fitness) I just wish it was closer to home and had a pool/hot tub. 4 out of 5 get a hot tub and get 5 stars

I have come to this location for a long time and have given them much business buying drinks, and other items they sell there. I have even recommended this location to my customers also. But yesterday the employees got me very upset. I understand there are rules, but to threaten to cancel my membership over one damn gold coin for the massage chair was upsetting. This gym complains and wants to cancel my membership just because I gave my gold coin to my friend who is also a member of the gym. THE WAY THEY MADE IT SEEM WAS LIKE IF THEY ARE GOING TO GO BROKE AND CLOSE THE GYM ALL FOR ONE DAMN GOLD COIN TO A 5 MIN MASSAGE CHAIR. THATS BS, IN THE YEARS IVE GONE THERE I HAVE NEVER HAD THIS HAPPEN BEFORE UNTIL NOW. THATS RUDE OF THEM TO THROW IT IN MY FACE ABOUT CANCELING MY MEMBERSHIP FOR ONE DAMN COIN TO A 5 MIN CHAIR!!!!

If i could i would give this location ZERO STARS! The Team Memebers they were very excellent and no words can describe how helpful they are BUT they need a new General Manager and Regional Manager who know the policy and that are not LIARS! The whole "No judgement zone" does not apply here, they are not a family oriented place. The Regional Manager even SUGGESTED TO CANCEL OUR PLAN AND GO WITH ANOTHER GYM and proceeds to KICK ME AND MY 1 YEAR OLD DAUGHTER IN HER STROLLER OUT OF THE BUILDING while i was waiting for my husband to finnish his work out. This place was just horrible. I well be telling everyone not to sign up with planet fitness because of this experience and belive me they well take my word for it!

My picture was taken which I found odd since other planet fitnesses did not ask this of me before, I asked for my picture to be removed since it felt inavsive and unnecessary because like I said I was NEVER asked to do this by any other planet fitnesses just to met with incompetent employees. I was told my picture couldn't be removed because it was part of the contract I signed. Took time out of my day to read it, and even read Planet Fitness general guide lines, rules, and regulations and nowhere did it mentioned I needed to provide them with a photo of myself. Either they were being purposefully dishonest or they're just completely unaware or their own guidelines. Smh.

I like doing the 30min workout circuit, but This Planet fitness has the same problem that all of them have. There are people in the 30 min area using the weight machines and not doing the circuit. It makes it very hard to complete the workout. Also, when I got a hydro massage and while I was in there, 4 teenagers ran in, one started using the other hydro massage and they all started yelling and laughing and being very loud. It was very unpleasant. Other than those things, it was clean and not busy. There are a lot of choices for Planet fitness in San Antonio. I'll probably drive an extra 2 miles and go to a different one.

So far my experience at planet fitness west side has been great. Good assortment of equipment. Although, adding some battle ropes and more room for free weights would be a plus. The machines and equipment are so clean. The gym itself is clean and smells fresh. It’s comfortable inside temperature wise. The staff is friendly and helpful. I go between 1 pm and 3 pm or after 9 pm and it is not crowded. The only thing I would say needs attention are the showers. They are clean but still need a deep cleaning of the tiles and grout or perhaps need to be redone completely. Otherwise, I am very pleased.

Pretty nice planet fitness, standard equipment. It’s never really super packed. There are free weights and three smith machines, but no regular Olympic benches. Plenty of treadmills and olypticals. There’s only like four stair machines I think. These stay busy but if you wait like twenty minutes they usually open up. The 30 minute express station is almost always empty and has most standard work outs. The back aerobics section is always busy. There are several cable machines, but these are also decently busy. If you get to the gym at the right time all the machines will be reasonably available.

It's my home gym, and the upgrade they did is nice...only thing is that it's dirty, restrooms are clean but the floor where you stretch and the rest can be attended to some more...and maybe the workers can remind us of no gym bags on the floor and to re-rack the equipment we use, or if they would go walk around and re-rack the weights that are left around by members that do not put them back.....don't get me wrong it's my home gym, if I didn't like it there I wouldn't be going, it's just needs a few things to be adjusted...thank you planet fitness for your location being close to my home!

HAIR CUT REVIEW!!!..The girl that cuts hair here is very rude and intimidating I want to deactivate my account just because of her. I get that the haircut is free but still come on, it shouldn't be the worst hair stylist in the world cutting your hair, and she always does something that I don't ask her to do, that just completely messes up my hair. and then there's nothing I could do about it because I won't notice it until after I shower.. and I always leave her a tip I guess no good deed goes unpunished..... zero stars for this place

The gym is great. The haircut I got there today was mediocre at best. I felt rushed and left with a crappy 10 minute haircut that was uneven. Asked for a fade and left with a wedge. Thank God I have a good barber down my street who could fix the mess PF's "stylist" made. The lady mentioned she just returned from a 3 month maternity leave. Maybe she should've taken a little refresher course or something. I learned my lesson; I'll NEVER get my hair done there again. And I recommend you don't either.

As far as Planet Fitness goes, this is a great location. I'd never before seen a hairstylist station in any gym. Although I didn't take advantage of the service myself, it was a pleasant surprise to find that it was an option. Aside from that, the gym itself is fairly standard. The customer service was good, and the amenities (aside from the stylist) were also nice. Their massage chair was probably the best I'd ever felt at any PF.

Been coming here for 6 months and its my first gym only complaints from me is there's no squat rack, no Olympic bars for pressing, and no deadlift area. Its planet fitness so dont expect those to be there, but its great for the price even if you get the black card. If you put in time and consistent dedication you can still hit all muscle groups here and make gains. But you're going to have to upgrade someday to a better gym.

Overall PF has been great and can't be the price. This location is a little basic but has friendly staff who always greet you and the place is kept clean. It would be nice if weights were reracked in proper locations and if the gym a/c worked better. Locker rooms is cold and gym is soooo hot. General comment for all PFs: why are the stretching areas so small and have no mirrors? Not only lifters need mirrors. Thanks!

Love this place. But I have to go at 3 am if I want to use all the machines. That’s how much I like it though. The women’s locker room could be cleaner. The showers have slime on the wall. The lockers are broken I guess from them having to cut them open when someone leaves their stuff. Once had my waist trimmer stolen too while I showered. So yeah. Go when no one is there and you’ll be golden pony boy.

Moved a month ago away from the west side but i absolutely love that gym...Place is great!!! Machines are never broken at long periods of time. Staff is friendly. I gotta give props to the night staff, especially Jimmy...the man is constantly helping out in any way possible...from cleaning machines to helping out with "workout" questions and tips!!!! The night staff is the best there is. Thank you!!!

Friendly staff, clean gym.really nice setup, my only complaint is, people shouldn't be allowed to sit on a bench texting. Yesterday it was really packed, and never got to use a free weight bench. Because 2 guys were just sitting there for at least an hour texting. You really should have a rule, just like dropping the weights, ring the siren when you notice someone there just taking up space. For the price you can’t beat Planet Fitness. If you just want to workout and do your own thing it’s great. Joey, the trainer at this location is great about answering questions and keeping the machines maintained and the place clean. I’ve been going here since 2013 and made it my “home gym” in 2015. I still visit the Fredericksburg location but people are friendlier here at general McMullen

I opened a membership today, and I loved the machine that stress the legs and abdomen, it really helped me through the day, I got it because of the way I feel after work, and in the morning when I wake up, my body weight at my hip area is larger than my legs...it like looking at a house on stilts...so I needed extra leverage to be more swift and not feel so tired.

WORST GYM in san antonio and Austin tx combined..I've been a member with planet for 3 years..the planet fitness on commerce smells like the staff do not clean it..maybe cleaning the floors every once in a while..staff here always standing around never seen them cleaning thro out the day..like other planet gyms...cleanest ones are marbach and bandera locations..

You get what you pay for, its a fairly basic gym, its got most of the typical cardio and weight machines, but thats about it, no punching bags, rope, pool, or any other specialized training equipment. Getting the premium membership is really only worth it if you want to get all access to every location, and free haircuts. The other perks are pretty worthless.

Entered the place asking for programs for elderly. The young girl at the front desk was like a little robot wit Memorex. She couldn't answer any questions about insurance partnerships for elderly. Asked her about the advertised special for 25 cents and she mumbled te answer and made sure to include the $39 annual fee which is a new or for me. Nope!

Peaceful decent gym to get your everyday work outs done! I have a black card membership and I honestly love the haircut perk. The lady that cuts hair at the moment is Tiffany. She is a sweet and excellent stylist. Honestly, I am always satisfied. I come here like every 2 weeks for haircuts and I always leave looking super fly. Thank you Tiffany.

If you are on a budget like I am, this is a great place to go to get back in shape or stay in shape. They have all the basic equipment and weights to achieve your goals. At 10 dollars a month you can't beat it. My Planet Fitness is open 24 hours 7 days a week so I do not have an excuse for not going. They are friendly and the place is clean.

Honestly a great place to work out. The place is super clean. Employees are constantly wiping the area down, sweeping and mopping. No they do not get in the way. Plenty of equipment for everyone to use even at peak times. It can get pretty busy so I recommend that you time when you want to come in. And yes it really is a no judgement zone.

I work overnights in downtown and this Planet Fitness on the West side of town is the closest one to work. Overnight staff is friendly, welcoming, and helpful. Place is SPOTLESS- it couldn't be any cleaner!! I highly recommend this Planet Fitness and wish they were all like this one at night!! They get an 11 out of 10!!!

This is my go to gym, I love it when I work out because usually when I go there aren't a lot of people and I'm always watching to see if people actually sanitize after using the equipment and people are pretty clean and responsible. I also like how everyone keeps to themselves and I feel comfortable when I work out.

I come in at 2:28 for what was supposed to be my 2:30 appointment and the lady tells me that im late when the people over the phone told me 2:30 and she tells me i was scheduled for 2:20 and that im too late and she cant trim my hair and on top of that this lady gives me attitude so upset with this facility

This gym is a little smaller than what I’m used to, but somehow still packed. I didn’t see anyone at the counter when I walked in. Nobody welcomed me, but the gym was still clean and I didn’t happen to see any equipment that needed maintenance the day that I went. Still overall a pretty decent gym.

I like the facility overall and the people. A couple things I don't like include the lack of paper towel dispensers, especially functioning ones, and the padding that goes around the Smith machine bars are so thin and collapse very easily. I wish they would invest in some quality ones

Honestly wish there was some type of weigh scale around the place, what’s the point of going to a place where you lose weight and there’s no weigh scale to see what you weigh versus how much you lost during your journey to weight loss. Other then that, the place is fantastic.

They really like their money. It's actually possible to have Two memberships one white and one black if you forget to cancel the other they'll still charge you for the second account for the same person. They won't cancel it for you. Good business plan, not customer friendly.

Great planet fitness. Good variety of equipment, friendly staff, clean and well maintained. Dumbells max out at 65lbs. This location is equipped with a hair salon offering free haircuts to black card members. Other amenities include Hydrobeds, massage chairs, and tanning.

We resigned our gym membership for our family. I asked a young lady that works there about a machine that was not working she said that she would report it. The next day still out. I emailed, still not fixed and no response. I'm getting ready to change to another gym.

This is my favorite Planet Fitness Location. I have been to about four here in the city and just by customer service alone I keep coming back to this one. Staff is attentive and courteous and have never experienced any negative interaction at this location.

I just went in there like 10 minutes ago and I Wanted to enroll in the gym and the front desk people were so rude so I left. I'm going to join another gym instead of planet Fitness. I don't know how they make any money by being rude to new customers.

A really clean and friendly atmosphere.. they have all time of machines for all different types of workouts. They also have a barbershop, tanning beds and massage chairs for black cards members. They also offer discount drinks for black card members.

Very clean the lady's locker room was amazing has locker showers bathrooms the equipment itself seem fairly new and the atmosphere is very comfortable everyone seems to be focused on themselves it's also a judgement free zone great place to work out

As other have stated its clean, and usually it's nice at night or early morning, but there are double standards. And they let the other team members sleep on the hydro beds and use them back to back for nearly an hour tonight. Quite ridiculous.

Always filty in the women's bathrooms and the dressing rooms are always dirty! There are also homeless people loitering outside. I am seriously going to end my membership due to these reasons because they just don't try to even make it better!

Due to the pandemic this place is not pack as you would think. I did encounter a bummer tho. Its been more than 2 weekends I have complaint of the hand sanitzer out of product or not working at 2 stations and the worker didnt do nothing about.

Love my gym , planet fitness is clean, comfortable and friendly. The equipment is well taken care of and the staff helpful. I want to mention that the manager Wendy is always interested in helping with questions and is genuinely welcoming.

Today was horrible. Nothing but children walking around hogging the machines. Isnt there a age requirement? Who's bright idea was it to have a day care. Planet fitness is literally having a day care for the summer. This is ridiculous!!

The site added more kettlebells which is awesome. Wondering if this site can push for 35 or 45 pounders in the future? Still content with being able to use 2 KB’s of the same weight in my workouts. Helps me finish my sets faster.

It was my first time here and it was great staff was keeping everything clean they where very attentive and any questions they answered with a great attitude and explained thoroughly . Im definitely gonna keep coming back.

Very awesome place to work out, my boyfriend and I come whenever we get the chance, and we enjoy every minute of it! I especially love the free hair cuts, the lady there is so funny and awesome! Very great staff!

Place is always pretty clean and the staff is generally very nice. It is a smaller location and I wish they had a sauna for me to use. Other than that it is a very good place to get a good workout for the price.

I recommend this gym because it has enough space for everyone to workout and also it’s not always crowded like other gyms, it’s cheap so don’t expect to have the best equipment but it will work out …

Black card membership gets you 1 token (5 minutes) on the massage chair!!! Woohoo!! $10 more per month gets you 5 minutes MAXIMUM ON MASSAGE CHAIR PER VISIT??!?! Hmmm?!? Gotta rethink this monthly value. Lol

every time I go I see some guys staring at themselves in the mirror flexing and hogging up the squat rack. I also had some knee issues after doing the cycling machine due to it slipping every once in a while

Great place to work out.. But when is it going to stay open 24 hrs in the weekends? Or close at a later time in the weekends. I hate driving twice as far and pay extra to work out at a different gym..

A good gym to work out. This seems to be an older gym. The men's bathroom area needs work and to be updated. Otherwise good place to work out. This location is the only one that gives haircuts free.

Been going for 6 months and have no complaints. The employees are very friendly and helpful. I've had people who workout with me here that say they prefer this one over the one near their place.

I have a membership at this gym and it is always clean with friendly staff. The machines are more for beginners and regulars, not for intense muscle - builder workouts. Overall, my kind of gym.

Place has a plethora of equipment available to all members. With an exception of some amenities such as massage chairs and water beds. Usually not too packed so great place for quick workout.

She is the most amazing hairstylists I have ever had the pleasure of having my haircut by. No one has ever been so fast an Great. I am extremely happy and great full for $Aly chain haircuts.

The people that work there are very friendly and helpful when I have questions and I love the massage chairs overall it’s fun to work out and clean definitely recommend my friends and family

Got my locker broken into and got my wallet and keys stolen, management does not care and did absolutely nothing, what's the point of having cameras if you're not going to check them??? smdh

I love this place. At first I was worried of the location but after going and seeing for myself it is not a bad spot. I love going in the mornings its less people and the staff are awesome.

Clean restrooms, staff is mostly helpful. UPDATE August 2019: Recently the restrooms havent been as clean and the toilet paper isnt refilled often nor paper towels on the floor.

Pretty low quality gym. Lack of everything, even weights. Literally all cardio machines. Go to Crunch instead honestly. It’s also $10 a month, with a lot more weights and 24/7

I like the cost of membership, but as previously asked about 24 hours on the weekend, your page for your location states, 24 hours, 7 days a week. Maybe you should edit that.

I know it's a free judgment place but some people just don't know how to work with weights totally get hurt. All first timers please see a trainer how to use the weights.

Was actually next door at America's Best for my glasses, then to Goodwill & Dollar tree & fiesta dollar party supplies! Good stuff but wasn't at gym! Sorry thanks!

Poorly managed. Every time a piece of exercise equipment breaks down, it'll collect dust for weeks or even months. Even the paper towel dispensers don't work.

The equipment was ok and the staff was friendly. The gym floor and the bathroom were both dirty and looked like they hadn't been clean in a couple of days.

Busy but people leave you alone. Good workouts though when it's busy, some free weights are hard to find. But that's to be expected. Fairly small place.

Love the added smith machines but it would be much better if they could install some additional mirrors so I can see my form when I am squatting.

Good gym in a bad neighborhood. This is my home gym so haircuts are included which is a great benefit and only at this gym.

I like it. Basic machines that work. Although could use an upgrade. Some of the machines are missing knobs for adjustment.

I got good results but everyday everyone does arms so the 1 or 2 days I need to do arms there's barely anything available
