I was looking forward to this after rave reviews. In all honesty staff were fantastic, really lovely and friendly which is not often in Chinese restaurants where you are hardly spoken to, wanted to give an extra star for service but food was not amazing. We spent about £28 and usually prawn crackers are thrown in which would have been nice. Food itself, ordered mix crispy starter for 2 which was about £7 found the ribs very tough but salt and pepper wings were delicious! Ordered pork and duck off the standard menu expecting the Chinese roast duck and pork you see in Windows in china town, what i received was ok meat in sauce nothing special. There is a traditional chinese menu (with english) THATs the one you want! But was too late by the time i saw it. Also odered fried rice and singapore noodles which were good. Food seemed to be prepared fresh. Portions standard/largish. Expected more, perhaps it's better when you eat in. I'd visit and try the traditional menu if I was around again.

Worst Chinese I’ve ordered from I’ve ordered from her a few times and every single time they never come correct. I ordered food for my family and asked for S&P chicken pieces and made clear I want pieces not wings after I done my order I got her to repeat it and she said pieces they sent wings,looked uncooked and was greasy as anything , the food come after 1hr 40 min wait the food was barely warm when it come I had to heat it in the microwave then I called back and was told it will be a half hour wait for them to send the chicken pieces although annoyed I waited and after 30 min they blanked my calls and never turned up TOTAL DISAPPOINTMENT DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE!!! Never again they need to CLOSING DOWN

Had two dishes, Fu Jian fried rice and Singapore vermicelli. The fried rice was beautifully presented and was very tasty (it might be the effect of MSG). But it was not authentic as compared to those I had usually got in HK. The vermicelli, again both the taste and presentation (it did not have nice curry colour) were not authentic as compared to HK ones. Taste wise was alright but not to my liking. In term of value for money, it should be one of the great choices to taste Chinese dishes.

Food was amazing and delicious. Can't fault any of it. Each dish came out aligned to the expectation I had. We did go around quiet time however so unsure what it's like when busy. Free parking and friendly staff. Only issue I had was the toilet location. It feels ridiculously far with alot of steps and reminds me of the stereotypical joke of wetherspoons ones XD

I love the wonton noodle soup from them because the egg noodle is the same as the authentic ones I had in China. However, I had a bad experience during my second time ordering for wonton noodle soup. They gave me with rice noodles instead of thin egg noodles like the first time so it wasn’t authentic at all. If they run out of egg noodles, they should have notified in the first place (or marked that dish unavailable) because the texture and everything becomes different. Such a careless act

Twice I got takeaway from here and find the quality isn't up to restaurant standards and portion sizes are small compare with the eye watering prices. Barbecue ribs with honey are like just few skinny bones dripped in honey sauce. I thought the 1st time maybe just the skinny left over ribs but it was the same for the 2nd time ordering. Not going order again, waste of my money!

Amazing place for affordable Chinese food that suits even the pickiest of taste buds, quick service and free Chinese tea for those who eat in. The roast duck is freshly roasted every single day at 12pm and for just £6 you’ll get a pretty good meal! Do ask for the special menu where’s there’s the 回锅肉饭 double roasted pork rice which is my favourite! There’s a karaoke room downstairs which you can book for a good price, there’s also a takeaway counter on the right hand side of the restaurant.

Food was excellent. Staff very pleasant, friendly and helpful. Good atmosphere although it was quite, due to being midweek. There was a steady flow of dinners. Large chose of food on the menu. Reasonable priced. Nice clean venue with disabled access. Car parking at rear of buildings. They also do take out meals.

Fantastic food! It's the 5th time I'm here and I've had a generous plate of noodles and some great Won Ton soup. Prices are really good. It's a new restaurant, so the staff are really inexperienced, but they're at the same time polite and efficient. The restaurant doesn't look great, if you're looking for something fancy, go in the city centre, but if you're on a budget and want to have delicious food out, go there. And get the Won Ton soup.

A beautiful specious place, I loved a service, a madam was so lovely and took care of any of my requests, she brought especially for me an extra drink to warm me up as I felt cold. Food was served very quickly within 3-5mins from ordering and was really delicious. I had noodles &chicken. I can recommend the restaurant for anyone looking for a good meal in reasonable price as well.

Great location with plenty of free parking. Being a British born Chinese who has spent time living in Malaysia and Hong Kong I have sampled quite alot of Chinese food. Their food is some of the best I have tasted. The fact that their prices are SOOOO REASONABLE as well would make it criminal for anyone not to go. Just took another Chinese friend tonight who loved it and has taken a menu to show his family where to go too.

The food was quite simply some of the best Chinese food I've ever had. The hot and spicy beef is definitely hot and spicy and delicious. The king prawn dimsums are awesome. The chap who served us was also lovely and very helpful. My only complaint is that we live too far away to go back regularly!!! We live in Milton Keynes. Please move here, our Chinese restaurants are pants. Thanks.

Really nice food and speedy service. Didn't like the chips much though. They were like warmed up chip shop chips. Can really recommend the spare ribs. Very clean place and friendly staff. We've been twice now and will definitely eat there again. Tip. If you want the loo, there is one upstairs you can use. Just go through the door and turn left, there is a disabled toilet there.

Second time I have ordered a delivery from here very expensive spent nearly £33 and couldn’t see what I paid for when it arrived. £3.50 for chips alone that came in the smallest container ever. Nothing special will not order from here again absolute rip off. Will stick to my regular takeaway where I never spend this amount on the same food and still have leftovers

Would be 5 stars for food and service. But the decor is rather basic and somewhat lacking atmosphere. That said the food is very good and plentiful. We were there at 9pm and the last people in and still made to feel very welcome. It's been done up somewhat. Don't expect luxury expect a quality Chinese experience at reasonable prices. Under £100 meal for 4.

Wow! What a great restaurant. 4 of us all ordered different food but shared, each dish was incredible. It was fresh and delicious with generous portions, totally faultless. The service was warm and friendly with helpful info about the dishes. We took our 5 year old and she had a fuss made over her. She loved the food too. Will be back, highly recommended

Got takeaway here tonight and called up to make some changes to our dishes, which the staff was happy to do. So nothing to complain about when it comes to customer service, however the Ho Fan Noodles were way too oily and the Szichuan beef was so spicy that there was no other taste. Even the fried rice, which is not that hard to make was too oily.

Have been going since it opened since openings yhe food has become poor in taste very greasy less meat and flavours. We ordered as a family and only salt n pepper wings was nice out of a big order and they are hit and miss. Unfortunately wont be going again total waste of my hard earned cash. Plus lady taking the orders is so rude and unpleasant

I got King prawn fried rice and curry and it was lovely (although the curry was quite watery). The missus got chips and sausage. She wasn't impressed, the sausage was cold (probably been sitting there from lunch time) & She wasn't too impressed with the chips either. It can be hit and miss, sometimes the food is nice, sometimes it's a bit iffy

total disgusted with the plymouth restraunt preheated food spare ribs like rubber couldnt eat them n chicken wings also like rubber preheated again wanted a drink and was told i couldnt have it they never had any left plus it was empty so getting left over food reheated never recommed this place disgusting staff not that friendly

So impressed. Quality of the food was incredible, food was delicious and fresh. Battered prawns were freshly made, sharing starter is MASSIVE, portions sizes are bigger than I expected. Absolutely over the moon, going to become my regular from now on. Reminds me of wong wongs before it burned down. Pls DON'T CHANGE!!

This place serves one of the best Chinese foods in Manchester, in my opinion. I compared their Singapore Rice with another outlet in Salford and there was a vast difference. You can preorder here or order when you walk in (your choice). It's located at Plymouth Grove, it's close to a bus stop and easy to find on the map.

Went last night with family pleasantly surprised by the quality of food good portion size, large menu selection & reasonably priced. Parking available will definitely come back again

Terrible attitudes from the owner, and the toilet is full with tools and machinery. Also the owner have a negative attitudes when we try to add more dishes. The food taste horrible as well and the very very salty In my opinion the restaurant is the one of the worst in Manchester and I suggest u don't go there.

My favourite go to place for good Chinese food. Good portions, good value and top quality. It's only about £5.50-7.50 for a nice filling meal. Staff are very friendly and nice which is a plus! Pictured below is the 回锅肉饭 (Spicy chilli pork rice) and 小树林招牌炒饭 (Restaurant's signature fried rice).

It tastes amazing, one of the best restaurants in Manchester if you love a traditional Chinese meal with your family/friends.

Not the best Chinese I’ve had. House Special Fried rice was a 5 out of 10. The Salt Pepper chicken was simply very expensive fried chicken (dry) with peppers. 1 out of 10 However, it does have a 5 rating by the FSA! Which is good!

After a long time of searching for the best fried rice in Manchester I think I've found it. Try their salted fish and chicken/ Young Chow fried rice. You will not be disappointed!
