After being bounced around from other local places in the area, I was recommended (by a previous mechanic in the area lol) to visit Port Adelaide Auto Repairs. At the time, my car had broken down and was blocking a lane on a busy road and I was hysterical. I called the shop to explain my situation and Sam calming guided me through what the problem could possibly be, and where to go from there. It was a completely different experience from anywhere I’ve been before. Even the ladies at reception were welcoming with a smile and chatted to me while the mechanics assessed my car. Long story short, we had our car serviced recently at a previous mechanic in the area, and they had failed to spot a crack in the rocker gasket causing a massive oil leak and drowning the spark plugs. This doesn’t mean much to me, but Sam explained it so throughly and presented me with a number of options of how to proceed. Genuinely impressed with the service from all at Port Adelaide Auto Repairs. Will never go anywhere else. Highly recommend!

Incorrectly installed fuel pump. Crossed thread- on an obvious angle (emergency repair man showed me, said it was the worst attempt of a fuel pump install he has ever seen) Car boot flooded with fuel. Had to get emergency repair as fuel was pouring all over the floor at service station when I was refuelling. Was spoken to very rudely & they blamed me for not getting it towed to their workshop, even though I explained tow truck operator refused to tow a car that was leaking fuel. Rang me a few days later & blamed me for having a chainsaw in the boot in the past. (I told them I could smell fuel for around a fortnight before finding the source & I work in arb, using fuel all day long) Overpriced, incredibly incompetent, very rude & fish for any excuse possible to blame their customers. If you care about your car & the safety of your family, do NOT go to this workshop. Not worth half a star. The WORST.

Your review: My cars have been looked after by Port Adelaide Auto for at least 25 years , maybe longer. They have always been there with help, when I need advice, either in crisis, maintenance, or , after I was widowed, were willing to share their wisdom and experience, when I was buying a new car! They are understanding, if I have budget constraints, and help to prioritise my cars care as needed. They are always friendly, and contact me if they have found an unexpected problem, otherwise my car is always ready by the agreed time. In these uncertain times, it is such a blessing to know that I can TRUST Port Adelaide Auto to be competent, and honest. Thankyou again for ensuring my car gives me care free motoring.!

A family owned business.. with old fashioned professional friendly service,, very competitive prices,, I was kept up to date with progress of my vehicle being repaired,,and I loved walking into a clean workshop and being greeted by a lovely black Labrador called Shelimar rose who just sat in her chair in the sun with a wagging tail if you’d like to say hi ,, overall I would definitely recommend this business everything was explained in lay mans terms ( as I’m not a mechanic!) I was very impressed and they will definitely be my new mechanic workshop 10/10 and old fashioned service they even washed my car .. you just don’t get this old fashioned service anymore!!! By far the BEST mechanic ive been to. After moving to the area i looked for a new place to take my car. I couldnt be happier that i found them!! EVERY time ive been they have explained everything thoroughly and helped me make the best decision for my car, which hasnt always been the most expensive. They are extremely female friendly ( as all places shoud be....but in reality they all arent. These guys most definitely are!!). I recently had an issue with my car suddenly running rough. Not only did they get my car in at the drop of a hat, but literally fixed it within minutes. I cannot rave enough about their service and professionalism. I am a loyal customer that wont go anywhere else.

Got van serviced week later alternater broke. Should have been picked up first service when I was complaining about a rough idel. Fuel filter never checked. Hose broke week after service too. Though they were on their game but got a story about light bulbs blowing compared to an alternator slowly dying. Derrrrr. After a huge service and them changing the insides of my engine, they forgot to tighten a hose and caused my car to stall. Took it back many times to be fixed and wasted lots of money.

Had a repair needed for our Scissor Lift Trailer to replace the Wheel Bearings - thanks to these guys, they understood the urgency of the situation and were able to assist getting this done fast, to enable us to get it back on the road the next day. We use and rely on our EWP's on a daily basis, to comply with safe working at heights requirements - so greatly appreciated the Trailer's prompt repair and their assistance. INTEGRITY DOORS & ENGINEERING.

When I think of Port Adelaide Auto Repairs, I think of commitment and quality. When 10 other mechanics/dealerships did not want to even go near my vehicle, Samm, Graham and the team stepped up and and took it on. They worked super hard, kept me informed and charged a reasonable price for many hours of work. Now my van works better than when I first drove it. I would 100% recommend these guys, they will take care of you and your vehicle, BRAVO!

Really happy with service had a auto electrical fault come up unexpectedly and took it in without prior booking and they fixed the problem was expecting to pay a lot more but very happy to know they ate genuine with prices will also be taking my Subaru here for regular servicing as opposed to the Subaru dealership due to good experiences

Theses guys found the problem with my car that 2 different auto electrician and 1 mechanic couldn't find, and pretty much said it was in my head. Port Adelaide auto service prices are reasonable. I've had my car there again for small fixes. I have every confidence that it will be a job well done at an affordable price. Thanks guys.

Dont shop around, just go straight to the workshop and get your vehicle fixed. Have had my modified vehicle dyno tuned correctly, which in turn found a few more kws and my wife's daily driver had a check engine light fixed. Time is too precious to go anywhere else. The Repco team provided excellent service, they were very good at fault finding an intermittent engine performance fault that a Nissan dealer could not identify and fix (after approximately two years with Nissan of paying for parts to be replaced without fixing the fault). Called in to get brake light bulb replaced having called to check that this was possible a couple of days earlier. The staff couldn't have been more helpful. If I could give this business six stars I would! Samm and the team have been servicing my vehicles for years now and I travel 12 hours return to have them look after me. Nothing is too much trouble and I can highly recommend without hesitation.

I booked via email and they replied very quickly. Got my timing belt and radiator replaced on my Ute. Did that no worries. Ended up paying a few hundred dollars less than quoted as well :) Really good service.

Yeah pretty good.... straight forward ... a slight gauge to get a single globe replaced $22 while I was getting a few belts done with a $10 disposal fee of said belts.. but not to bad ☆☆☆☆
