Brought a VW 2006 Passat for$ 5,990. Had payed for it to be freighted to QLD another $700. Since I've picked it up, Nothing but continual problems. Has had trouble starting from the start. Since then I've had a new alternator, Glob plugs, Starter nods a full service with new air and oil filters done. Turbo keeps failing and constantly taking it to the VW dealer to reset car at $150 each time. Now that the 3months registration has expired and a QLD RWC is required. I cannot have it Road Worthy due to the front lower control arm bushes needs replacing. Due to arm control bushes needing replacement, I need to buy 4 new tyres on top once done as they are unevenly worn and make a wheel bearing noise while driving. Dealership sold the car with this knowledge as they ignored my concerns for the sound and unsteady steering, when I drove from Brisbane to Bundaberg, after picking up the car from transport depot. I'm up at least another $2,000 on top of all other expenses. Cracked chaise as well! Also the lining in the roof has only in the last week fallen. Another $230 on top. I'm a single mum who saved her but off to buy a nice car for my family and live rural with no support and kids need to be driven to bus stop on Highway over a kilometre away. Do not trust this dealership. I've had to get a loan off my family to buy a reliable car as the mechanic said I've been sold a dangerous unsafe lemon!! I rang the dealership right after purchase and messaged only to be ignored. I hope they get their come up-pance. As I've struggled with Christmas and School books and holiday camping trying to keep my only means of transport on the road. They sell neat looking cars that are worth scrap metal!!!!
Here is my honest review of the business. I purchased a car in December after totalling mine the week before. I called up after seeing it online and spoke with Denis. He told me the particulars and I went down to take a look. Shortly after I purchased. At this point I still had my loan car from the insurance claim. Within one drive, the vehicle I purchased started to smoke. Not what I expected after one drive. Called back the business the next day and they took it back for repairs. They returned it prior to Christmas which I was very thankful for. I then took it to get new tires and brakes with an oil change. The business which I took it to put the wrong oil in, Port Road Car & Commercial fixed this mistake and replaced another part. A few months later there was an issue with a few warning lights and the AC. All fixed by Port Road Car & Commercial. Lastly, there was an issue with the fuel filter. This was also fixed. In the end, I only purchased a $6k car. But their service after was second to none. They answered the phone every time I called. They gave me a loan car, free, every time. I can't speak for other reviews online but what I can say is that I was surprised at how well they looked after me and the car which did have issues. It still might have more, but they did well to look after me. Thanks
Don't waste your time or money with this place. Bought a 2008 ford falcon with 98,000km back in september 2019 and had issues from day 1. The dealer had promised that the car would be a perfect run about with no problems as I had had poor luck with cars in the past. He confirmed that any problems would be covered under the 3 month warranty. Upon contacting the dealer about an engine light that had come on the day after purchase, he was happy enough for a local mechanic to take a look. A misfire was identified on every cylinder and the car became almost undrivable. The next few months involved multiple attempts at getting the car repaired while also in contact with consumer affairs and ACCC. It was a messy process and i ended up walking away with the car that still isnt completely fixed 6 months later. Horrific after sale help, rude when confronted, difficult to work with. Don't waste a single cent with this company
I bought a Nissan Patrol from this place. Got told it had one owner (named in the owners manual) and the salesman said he had spoken to him and gave me a story about how it had only towed a small caravan. I was eventually able to get in contact with the original owner and everything from him speaking to the salesman to towing a small caravan wasn't true. Got it home found some oil around the turbo. My mechanic looked over it and said it had to be replaced. Contacted them, no reply. Contacted them again. No reply. In hindsight I should have gone to consumer affairs and investigated if it was "fit for purpose" but I didn't. $2k later new turbo. Now its looking like the injector pump is stuffed $5k. I won't be dealing with them again. I won't be reccomending them either. Beware.
We bought our previous car from them 7 years ago with no problems so went back when we wanted to update. Everything was fine until we wanted an RAA inspection. Thank god we did. The car they were wuite happy to sell us for 13k was a lemon. RAA strongly advised against purchasing it. The car yard tried to bully us into buying. We let them keep their $200 deposit and walked away. Rude and aggorant. I suggest you try Southern Car Sales instead. Excellent customer service, excellent car care and good cars on the lot.
total shonk ! he is absolutely lovely to sell you the car but then you start to drive it and realize it's been fixed up on the cheap you ask for things to be fixed so the car is safe and you then you see the real character come though, hangs up talks over you and is playing a sales game to just get rid of you he is a bullie and I strongly recommend not to buy from this place I'd go to a big main dealership where they are reputable
I traded my patrol for a commodore. Dick went out of his way to ensure the Commodore was in good order and delivered it to us in Goolwa . My patrol had a cooked engine and I was surprised at the price given as a trade. I have waited a couple of months before writing this review and must say I am very happy with our purchase. The Commodore is running great.
Beware of this dealer as he will make life very hard if there is a fault with the vehicle you purchase . They hold out on doing the repairs in a reasonable time, hoping you ask for the vehicle back and just go away. Do yourself a favour and avoid them.
Worst service. Over 12 months still waiting for a spare tire that was missing from the day of sale, always says he will sort it and never does. Took months to get issues sorted after buying the car, would avoid at all costs. Just ducks and dodges you.
Absolute shonk stay far far away from this place. Sells cars with known issues and then acts like it's not his problem. You know it's a problem yard when the finance companies are telling you to stay away. Save yourself the stress and shop elsewhere.
