We can't speak highly enough of our experience with Verashka Maharaj. We were first-time homebuyers with very little knowledge about how to find the right place. We met with a couple of realtors before Verashka, but we knew instantly that she was the one for us. She helped to take the pressure off of us. Umhalanga property market can be quite daunting and scary for new owners. Received quite poor service from a few agents at Prime Property Umhlanga while searching for an apartment to rent. After sending a private message to each agent to enquire about apartments advertised, I had agents tell me they would get back to me on availability for viewing and then just no response. Those however weren’t as bad as the two agents, Hajara and Mayur, who couldn’t even be bothered to respond to the messages and another agent, Zakariyyaa, who wanted me to complete a lease application, send 3-months bank statements, 3-months payslips, a copy of my ID and run a credit check, just to VIEW an apartment. The only reason I haven’t given a 1-star is because of the one good agent, Raj, who made the effort to let me know the apartment I was enquiring about was no longer available, sent me alternative listings that were and continued to do so whenever an apartment came on the market.

I wanted to take this moment to express my sincere appreciation to Bibi Hajara for all the hard work and dedication she put into helping me find my dream home. Her expertise and guidance throughout the entire process were invaluable and I couldn't have done it without her. She was committed to making sure I found the perfect home within my budget at the preferred location which is truly impressive. A month later after my lease ended and I am struggling to get my refund for the deposit I made for water and electricity. They have not responded to my emails, they are now acting in bad faith by informing the landlord to withold my deposit with no valid reason (which is also in breach of the lease agreement that was signed). It is so frustrating, I have resorted to lodging a complaint at the Rental Housing Tribunal since they are in breach of agreement.

I find that many of the agents at Prime Property not qualified. One did not know what an OTP was. It a numbers game, I get it. That does not mean that anyone should be allowed to service clients without experience or training. There is also a fast turn around of agents, more agents trained or untrained means more money for the company to the detriment of their clients.
