I don’t normally write reviews on google, but I have to take this opportunity to express my gratitude to this clinic especially Dr Elita. My dog is turning to 8 and I found out that his leg was limping yesterday and the situation was deteriorated very quickly, he could not move his back right leg last night. I am very worried and trying to send him to my vet asap. The vet we normally go to isn’t opened on Sunday, so a friend of mine recommended Progressive Vet. I rang the clinic on Sunday morning and the receptionist was very friendly and efficient then booked us in straight away to see Dr Elita. Dr Elita was very approachable and knowledgeable, she examined my dog and pointed out few health issues that my dog is currently suffering, she had then provided few options which tailored to my dog. She was very patient and answered all questions to address my concerns. She explained the medical terms in a very easy-understanding way. The overall experience gave me a huge relief as I believe that my dog is in good hands. Having said that, we have been to different vets in the last 7 years, I have summarised the experience below as a guide. 1. Progressive vet - The best so far, the consultation fee is $95, but definitely worth it. 2. Monash vet clinic - not every vet is capable in this clinic and the consultation fee is slightly cheaper, but I don’t feel I get much information every time I go there. 3. RSPCA Burwood- worst ever so far and avoid going there for your fur baby.

The positive reviews are real. Would highly recommend the vet. At least worth a try. Have been to a few vets (close to home, RSPCA, eye specialist...etc.) for our naughty Frenchie over the years. Not that others are bad in particular, also I only had experiences with Dr. Katrina so I can't say for all the vets at Progressive. We went in on a Sunday for some concerns we had for our dog. It's definitely under staff (understandable on a Sunday) but Dr. Katrina answered all our questions with patience. For the things she couldn't be sure she will also just acknowledge it and provide her best guesses/theories. She would suggest tests and explain them but wouldn't push you for any. On top of that, she even wanted to help us get the urine sample for a test by herself. She walked the dog like he is her baby. :-) We did take over after he didn't do it for couple mins. Normally other vets would just give you a container and ask you to go walk the dog yourself. Not that it's wrong, but I can feel they care about our dog. I do have one follow-up call that I was promised by the reception to get a call back and I didn't. But overall, a refreshing vet exp. Clean, bright and comfortable waiting environment as well. We will see about long-term but definitely a good first experience and will definitely go back (hopefully don't need to).

I can't speak highly enough of Dr. Tim Bowden and I am recommend him to anyone who is looking for honest, genuine, professional and caring vet. The staff is very understanding and caring and makes sure messages are passed to Dr. Tim in timely manner. I saw Tim first time last year with my terminally ill 16 year old boy. When I needed professional help and support the most Tim was there every step of the way. He was following up on my boy and helping me throughout to make the hardest decision ever when to put my boy to rest. Tim would fit us in and see my boy on a very short notice, he will follow up with phone calls to see how my boy was doing and he will always take time to explain things and give his professional advice. He has put my beautiful boy to rest in our home peacefully in my arms last year and I would be forever grateful for the care we received at the most heartbreaking time in our lives. I have a new puppy now that I know is in safe hands and I will take him with confidence to Tim to look after little Simba. This place deserve nothing less but 5

We attended here for an appointment with our 9 week old puppy. Whilst in the waiting room, our pup was in an unprovoked attack by another dog. Whilst this isn’t the business fault- at no point were we offered an apology by the dog’s owner or by any staff. It was a highly distressing and traumatic time for us and for our new puppy. I would have expected at some point, someone would have checked in on the following days to see how we were after that experience. I had to call to ask what the follow up would be and was told to just take it to the council. What was then extended into a 2 hour consultation with a chunk of our beautiful puppy’’s ear missing, we were told by the vet we wouldn’t be charged for medication and prolonged consultation because “sh** happens”. Hardly thinks a pup being attacked classifies as a “sh** happens situation”. A very disappointing experience. We will not be returning as we don’t believe our puppy is safe here or that it is animal centered care.

I noticed my fur baby lost three teeth over the weekend on the 17th of September. I was terrified because I know loosing teeth in matured dogs is not a good sign. My regular vet wasn't able to accommodate me to solve this urgent matter so I had to look elsewhere. I'm so glad to have found Progressive Vet, they offered me a free consultation(went in on the 18th), Dr Tim took time to explain things and gave me a fixed price quote and was able to get the procedure done on the 19th. In total my dog had 11 teeth removed, they were infected and all of them went loose, they also cleaned his remaining teeth nice and pearly white(a much better job than my previous vet). A day after his procedure, the lovely Sophie even called to check if he's recovering well. When you're there you can really feel it's not just about the money; the vets, the nurses are true animal lovers and really passionate about their jobs. I have finally found the perfect vet, highly recommend!!!!

Unfortunately, despite all the positive reviews we did not have a good experience here. Being a first time client I took my dog in to have a grass seed puncture checked. The female vet did not attempt to build a rapport with my dog and I guess he sensed it because he did not want to cooperate and wouldn't let her check the wound. Under my agreeance she muzzled my dog but he still was being tricky. Instead of trying to calm my dog she clearly became frustrated which only made the situation worse. She enlisted the help of a younger female staff person who seemed to have more empathy for my dog and my dog did respond to that. I felt like the vet thought my dog was a nuisance and I didn't leave with a good feeling. I now have another vet who my dog lets check his sore ear and anything else that is sore. He takes the time to introduce himself to my dog each visit so that my dog feels comfortable. I won't be going back to Progressive Vet Care in Chadstone.

The first time my baby bunny went for nail clipping, he was terrified. But the nurses was doing a really wonderful job of holding, cuddling and encouraging my little boy, he didn't move or fight at all during the whole process, which was fantastic. However, two nails were clipped to bleeding(I suppose it happens?) They did use the Q tip to stop the bleeding on site, but blood was all over the fur on his claw when we got back home indicating the bleeding was not properly taken care of. I am pretty sure my baby bunny was so upset because he barely ate the whole day. On one hand, I do appreciate the straightforwardness of the nurses saying they do not have many bunnies there, hence, they were not able to answer my questions, such as 'weight, how much alfalfa I need to give him and etc. However, on the other hand, if the VET do accept bunnies, some basic knowledge would be essential. So, I am not sure I would recommend bunny owner take your babies there.

We took our beautiful fur baby of 6 years to Progressive Vet Care for what they diagnosed as allergies several months ago, then we took him in again in the past month for what they thought was fungal / allergies. Yesterday he passed away in emergency after he couldn't move in morning. He had cancer. I'm overwhelmed with grief and so upset Progressive Vet Care didn't conduct tests several months ago or recently, such as a blood tests or a more comprehensive investigation on why he still had the issue. I will never come back here, or take our now lonely 5 year old 2nd dog or any family pets to this negligent veterinarian clinic. If they (Progressive Vet Care) had diagnosed his condition correctly I truly believe our family could have at least had months to give him an amazing good bye, or even years! Instead the suddenness of this has caused us un-comparable sadness.

I just want to say a huge thankyou to this place I called up very stressed as my new rescue dog Bella was sick Reception were so generous with their time, helping me determine if it was necessary to bring her in or not, as she is very nervous with Vets Once bringing her in, the team ensured there were no other dogs in the waiting area and took us into a room straight away I really appreciate the time Dr Elita spent with Bella and the patience she showed allowing Bella become comfortable with her surroundings, and even sitting on the floor to treat her so she was less intimidated I was SO relieved seeing the care she treated Bella with and I really appreciate this so much And.. she is all better now, so thankyou!! We now know exactly where to go next time we need Vet care :)

Dr Tim manages all of my 5 dogs. He is the only vet that goes over and above to care for them, especially when they get sick unexpectedly. He is always available and will even come in on days off as he knows my dogs history. Dr Tim always takes the time to complete a thorough vet history, and physical examination. Orders tests appropriately and Does not over investigate unnecessarily.Uses clinical assessment skills instead of relying on investigations. Has a strong clinical background and is very experienced. The team of nurses are great they always look after my dogs and take the time to send pics when they are admitted and receiving treatment. I’ve been seeing Tim for over 10 yrs and wouldn’t trust anyone else to look after my fur babies .

Our rescue staffy x has always had her health checked at Progressive Vet care and we always had really good service. Always available for last minutes emergencies through the years. Sadly, our furbaby had been diagnosed with cancer and has recently passed away. All along, we have had amazing care and support from the team. Up until the end they were there and even came to our house to put our poor furbaby to sleep. As terrible and sad that was, this was done which such respect and care. They even organised the cremation with a company for us. We received an handwritten letter of condolences from the Vet team shortly after and really appreciated the attention. We cannot recommend hightly enough PVC. Thank you for what you have done for us.

My beautiful little girl Molly anne Burberry got really sick and she was raced to the vet by the owner of the boarding kennels where she was staying while I was having my monthly 2 weeks stint in the Alfred hospital, Dr Tim and staff we're so kind and caring for Molly and myself. Words cannot express how grateful I am for the loving caring and professional work that they do there, they saved not only Molly's Life but mine!! Nurse Hannah and her Dog Thor donated blood to Molly and his blood has saved my baby's life. I have three dogs and have been seeing Dr Tim Bowden for over 6 years - I followed him to his current practice because he is honestly the best vet I've ever seen. Having been a lifelong pet owner and living in two states I have seen a lot of vets over the years. Tim takes the time to explain in detail things that would be dismissed in a couple of sentences by a vet keen to get you in and out. He's performed several surgeries on my dogs, and is just so compassionate with them. If he was situated in the western suburbs I would travel there to see him, and that's saying a lot because I don't go to the western suburbs unless someone is paying me to go there. A+++.

Our dog ate a few panadol tablets (very toxic for dogs) so we took her to the closest vet that was open at 6pm on a Friday night: Progressive Vet Care. The staff were very friendly and knowledgable. They immediately recommended giving her some drugs to induce vomiting while I filled out the required forms. Within 30 min our dog had vomited it out and had been given some drugs to counteract the vomiting. She's now fine and happy again. Thanks again to Progressive Vet Care for looking after our dog and providing such a great level of care. Would highly recommend them for any pet emergencies (or even regular vet visits).

I highly recommend Progressive Vet Care. I used to take my dog to a different vet clinic for 10 years but when my dog got very sick, I just didn’t feel right and looked for a different clinic. Thank god I found Progressive Vet Care. Dr Tim was spot on with diagnosis and he & his team did everything they could for Leo. It was a very sad experience for our family to say good bye to Leo but I was so grateful to Dr Tim for his professionalism, loving care and compassion towards both Leo and our family. I wish I knew Dr Tim 10 years ago and took Leo to this fantastic clinic from the first place.

Absolutely incredible service and the best veterinary experience we have ever had. Every time we visit Progressive Vet Care, we are blown away by the attentiveness, professionalism and care shown by Dr Tim and the team. Dr Tim is highly capable and we feel very confident that our dog is in his care. Dr Tim always has time and goes above and beyond in answering our questions and providing a great service. I highly recommend Progressive Vet Care. I seriously cannot think of a single improvement to this practice as everything is already so well done.

We had an emergency visit that Tim managed to fit in at the last minute, as our regular vet wasn't available. He made sure to thoroughly check over our rabbit, take a proper history, and make sure the rabbit was comfortable. The phone call at the end of the day to check in on how things were going was the icing on the cake. Thank you for caring so much, being so thorough and being open to new clients who were in a bit of a panic! We'll definitely return in future and recommend our friends.

I have been a long standing client of Dr Bowden and I wouldn't take my dog Rocky anywhere else. Dr Bowden and the whole team at Progressive Vet Care are so helpful and are always able to fit me and my dog in whenever an emergency arises. Dr Tim and his team have looked after our labrador since he was 8 weeks old through many puppy issues! We were so grateful to Dr Tim (Bowden) and the team at Progressive Vet Care for their care and treatment of our very special Jack Russell x in the last few weeks of her life. I discovered the practice through looking for a vet that was open on a Sunday. They also have an emergency number to talk through concerns after hours. Dr. Tim was so thorough and patient in explaining all the options. We had the best, most compassionate care I could have wished for.

What a fabulous experience we had at Progressive Vet Care! Vet Tim & staff were excellent with our new puppy & very patient keeping out toddler entertained with colouring books to keep her out of mischief. We were given lots of helpful advice & more time than any other veterinary practice ever has; we have already booked in our next puppy appointment with Vet Tim! I would highly recommend Progressive Vet Care to anyone.

Took our dog Pickles to see them for the first time as she had a UTI. Dr Katrina was brilliant. She took the time to make her feel comfortable and cared for. Haven’t seen our dog this relaxed at a vet for a very long time. Dr Katrina also ask the right questions to determine Pickles health all round, so we didn’t feel like we were being rushed out the door. The nursing staff too were very thoughtful.

I would like to thank the whole team and particularly Dr Tim for taking care of our furry children. Sad circumstances brought me to this clinic a few years ago when l was looking for a pet euthanasia at home option on Sunday morning. Their quick response, empathy, and professional service made me trust this practice, and I'm forever thankful for their dedication and care every time l go there ❤️

Fantastic vet clinic! Our cat is very temperamental about being touched and both vets we’ve had appointments with, were respectful of his boundaries. They keep you well informed on your options, prices and work with you on how to manage any ongoing issues. We were concerned about finding a good vet when we moved to a new area but we totally lucked out with Progressive. Can’t recommend enough :)

Our beautiful cat Leo fell suddenly ill recently and today we had to give him peace. Dr Katrina and all the staff were absolutely incredible. Kind, respectful, caring and did everything to help him through this. Dr Katrina went above and beyond with her sincerity, kindness and compassion. We cannot thank her enough as we would not have navigated this truly heartbreaking situation without her.

Have been to this clinic for a few times but feel like I had to leave a review this particular visit with Dr. Katrina. Dr. Katrina built great rapport with my dog and completed a thorough check up. The vet was wonderful. He gave my dog a very thorough look over, spent time explaining treatment options to me, offered me suggestions on how best to vaccinate and worm my dog while saving me money compared to the treatments I currently use. In addition to that, my dog loved him and, best of all, the consultation was far cheaper than at any previous vet I've been to.

The experience we had with Progressive Vet Care was outstanding. Both Dr Tim and the other staff members were efficient and helpful. Also very compassionate towards our dog Millie when she was desexed and afterward care. Soon we will need to take her for her vaccinations. There is definitely no other place I will take my Millie. I personally had an amazing experience with this vet. I found that Doctor Tim and the staff are extremely friendly and actually care about the animals that come in. I’m a first time puppy owner as of Friday, I took my girl in today for her vaccinations and everyone we dealt with was fantastic! Our vet (I’ve forgotten his name, sorry!) was amazing with my pup, put us both at ease and patiently answered all my questions too. The prices are great and the staff are so lovely, I highly recommend these guys!

My little dog Charlie was very unwell recently with vomiting and needed an overnight stay. The staff all took such wonderful care of him and kept me updated regularly. They are fantastic! Charlie has been going here since he was a puppy and every visit he has been cared for wonderfully and they always go above and beyond! Thank you!

Caring and professional. My very nervous reluctant dog relaxed and took to Dr Elita immediately and followed her in. Gave detailed information and didn't rush us and answered all our concerns and questions. Couldn't have asked for a better vet. Convenient location with quite a number of spots for patient parking right out front.

Could not recommend highly enough. Dr Tim always thoroughly exams our 2 cats and is extremely informative. One of my boys has needed 2 procedures here and they were fantastic. You can certainly tell Dr Tim and the Vet Nurses & Staff at Progressive Vet Care really love animals and take great care of them whilst they are there.

This vet care is not rated 5 star for no reason! The veterinarian from other vet told me that my kitten will not make it but guess what, I took her to Progressive Vet Care and they saved her! Our first experience with Progressive Vet Care and extremely happy. Our dog needed emergency surgery which is always stressful to hear. Dr Tim was very supportive and gave us options to consider. He saw us on short notice on a Friday night and managed to fit our dog in Saturday morning for the surgery. Highly recommend !

Exceptional service and trust. I recommend this vet clinic to any friends who welcome a new pet into their home. They work closely with rescue groups, the vets are very knowledgeable and the team who coordinate the reception are wonderfully friendly and easy to deal with. Professional and super duper caring. As sad as I was to leave my dog with them while she was sick, the team went above and beyond. Happy for me to pop in and give her a cuddle and food during her hospital stay and they really care for your pets. I travel 45min to go to this vet after I moved house.

I have been visiting here for my cat since the day one that I have adopted my cat. It has been more than 6 months now. It is price efficient and the doctors are always kind and friendly and trustworthy. Even the receptionists are polite and well-mannered. Really recommend this place.

The team at Progressive Vet Care have been looking after my tiny fur babies for over a year now. Not only do they have a great range of goodies in the front of the clinic, but the vets that have looking after my dogs have been outstanding, kind and full of knowledge.

Tim and the team run an amazing vet practice at Progressive Vet Care. Gus the pug nearly died when he ate a keyring last year but Tim saves his life, quite literally. We are blessed to have such a great vet around the corner and their renovated practice is beautiful.

Progressive Vet Care have always been on the ball when it comes to my dogs. If my dogs are sick, they always follow up with phone calls to ensure they are getting better. The staff there are so friendly and nice to deal with. I couldn't recommend them highly enough.

I brought my puppy here for his first visit and the staff were so helpful and attentive. A welcoming and happy environment, glad I chose this place! (And thanks for the help over the phone when I had concerns about my puppy, the girls at reception are so lovely!)

We brought our pet kitten here for her first checkup, and Dr Tim was very helpful and experienced with us. He handled the cat well and gave it a vaccination and flea treatment. He was also very thorough with his examination and advice. Greatly recommend …

Absolutely amazing! Just moved houses and needed a check up and got amazing service and such friendly staff! I would give 10 stars if I could! I have a difficult cat and she felt so relaxed and calm when getting injections! I couldn’t be happier! So thankful!

Very happy with the treatment my 1yo female GS received when she went in for spaying - the vet was very careful with our dog who is quite fearful and we felt she was really well looked after. The follow up call the next day was really appreciated too!

Tim was really great with the cats and they were a lot more chilled out than last time we took them to the vet. He has a great bedside manner and is patient with letting them explore the environment and get comfortable before examining them.

We finally found the best vet for our cat. Dr Tim was patient, checked up our cat thoroughly and explained to us how to improve our cat's health. You will know you come to the right place at the very first appointment.

The 5 star reviews are all true. Doctor Tim is by far the best vet we've seen. Consultation is extremely thorough - you almost feel bad for taking up too much of his much time. Highly recommend Progressive Vet Care.

This vet isn't close to me, but I'm happy to make the drive here because I love the care and service provided by Progressive. The staff are always fantastic and are clearly so passionate about their fluffy patients.

I was very impressed with everyone at Progressive Vet care. When I took my dog there, they knew my dogs name, opened the door for us, and made us feel safe and comfortable. Fanatics service :) Highly recommended.

We've tried out a few vets in our area, and these guys are now our go to vets. Dr. Mark has always listened to us patiently and looked after our pupper with kindness and compassion.
