I have rented with public storage for a long time. I have never had such horrible customer service like I have had in the last month. But lets talk about my latest horrible service with Donna. When I went in to pay my bill last week...very rudely she asked me to wait while she counted the days money with another employee in front of me. When Donna was finally ready to take my rent she gave me a number which was higher than I expected. When I questioned her on the amount, she was very degrading and told me to count the amount....like I don't know how to count.....as this went on for a couple of minutes I went to give her my money to which she looked at me and said oh no....I don't have any change as I gave it to the other worker to deposit. I asked her if she could grab her to give me change and she said no, it will ruin her count and have to redo it and she will NOT do that. She told me that I have to leave and come back with change. I told her that I would have to come back the following day and she said yes. As I left, I turned back to look at her as I thought she said something, and she looked at me and told me to go. I cannot believe that she feels the right to talk to people like she is better than them. She was rude and so disrespectful. The thing is that we went back today to put stuff into our storage unit and my husband dealt with her...as he returned the cart, Donna asked my husband if he could write her a positive review on public storage....she asked him to write, Donna is the bomb. My husband was laughing inside as he knew how horrible she treated me the other day. Learn to respect others and have a better customer approach. You will not get a review that says Donna is the bomb.. Sorry. If I could I would give Donna a 0 out of 5 stars. Donna, please stop asking customers to give you a positive review with "Donna is the bomb".

Stored my personal belongings here for about two years. Employees are wonderful! Management is horrible and almost nonexistent. My unit was burglarized while I was out of state. I informed management of the theft and asked for surveillance footage. It was needed for an insurance claim. I was told they only keep video footage for 48 hours. Since the robbery happened the prior weekend I had no physical evidence to provide the insurance company. Just the print out of dates and times my unit was accessed. My claim was denied. I should have moved my things to another facility but who has time for that. COVID-19 hits and I am without work. I try to keep up with the payments but unfortunately I couldn’t. During this time late fees were added and leens were put on my property. I called to ask how to go about paying the $600+ debt which seemed like a lot for two months behind. I was told to contact the manager, I did. He never got back to me. There was no way for me to pay them in full for my things. Ultimately my unit was sold for $10 and I was emailed a bill for $5?? Which they say is owed. My whole life was in that unit. You think a company that works with people would have some compassion during this very uncertain time. They were not willing to work with me at all. Yes it’s a business I know it about profit. The entire world was falling apart and these people were selling my personal Belongings along with how many others families stuff. I will never use another Public Storage facility. This company should be ashamed of their business practices.

I would never return to this location. First off Donna is the worst person to EVER deal with from move in day to move out date. While moving in at exactly 5 o'clock i had 2 boxes to bring up and i was done she stormed out snatched my buggie n told me it was 5 they are closing and i couldn't bring them up she had other things to do. She then proceeded to hollar at the older gentleman that was working with her for not taking my buggie n even allowing me to return to my unit. I ended up Takn my 2 boxes home with me. I returned the next am to finish several more loads to be told the lady the night before never left the keys for the buggies so we did everything by hand, thanks donna!!! I had several interactions with this rude lady the Month i used storage. I also went to ask about my check out date she said i had to get my phone. She instructed me to the comment page and told me to give her a review saying donna has great customer service. I did to avoid any confrontation...but have been waiting to get out of here she is unbearable. After reviewing her she told me i was a day late and made me pay 100 bucks for one morning b4 my stuff was out. She said i should had came n talked to her the day before i wouldn't have had to pay it, lone Behold i tried calling and she told me she was busy with other people try back another time... She's a peach###

I picked this location due to the convenience of its location. It's in the middle of my old home and new home. I will admit initially, I wasn't happy with the being unable to contact the location. I would call, leave a voicemail, someone would call me, I'd be unable to answer the phone, call back and get a voicemail again! LOL I was supper frustrated, but we found out that they accidently had the phone going directly to voicemail. Problem solved! Customer service: Everyone I interacted with were extremely pleasant, professional and personable. They gave me options, answered all questions and fixed my problem. Service: They gave me exactly what I needed. This location is very clean and well kept. It has limited hours, since it is dtwn Mpls . It's located right next to Twins Stadium.. but if you know where JD Hoyt's is located on 3rd and Washington, take 3rd like you're going to the freeway or like you're going to Twins Stadium, it's on your right hand side and basically on the next corner. You have the ability to take care of all of your business online if you'd prefer to not go in and meet directly with a representative. I would definitely do business again, especially if I get to interact with Trynese and Tony; they made it very pleasant and easy for me.

Really disappointing. Horrible experience. Was trying to move my daughter out of her storage unit today. Storage Unit is on 7th floor. Both elevators were down and had been since yesterday evening. I had free help and a uhaul. Called corporate, Denise hung up because I wanted to know if I could get an ETA on elevator repair. Then I called back and got Angela, she was nice enough to offer a credit to me but in reality I don't need it because she's moving out of storage. The Property manager was great. She tried to contact her manager who should have been there but wasn't. The Property manager was being cussed out by customers and she handled it well. I called the district manager and he hasn't called me back. Now I have to rent another truck and pay people to help her move. Corp claim they couldn't contact the elevator company to get an ETA. And since no one was stuck it wasn't an emergency. However you promise that people can have access to my storage during the hours you are open. So unprofessional. I would not recommend renting at that facility.

6 Reasons to go somewhere else! 1.) The office staff here takes longer than posted breaks (very bad for new clients and existing clients that generally pay with cash). 2.) Anitra was very disrespectful to my father (she has known both of us for years now). 3.) The loading dock and facility has been filthy every time I've been there. 4.) A district manager breached security by giving me personal information over the phone. Thankfully she was stopped by somebody in the office and it was my own account information (district managers making rookie mistakes says a lot about the higher-ups in the company). 5.) The odd happenings and customers at this location (Park and watch what comes and goes for 5 minutes). 6.) And don’t forget the fees to pay over the phone. (What the heck! A good customer can’t just pay on their account over the phone anymore without mega corporations having to asking for your damn pinky finger! #ArbitraryExtras

I wish I could leave zero stars. First thing, it smelled like dead rats. On every floor. Especially dead smelling on the lower levels. The elevators were unbearable. I would hold my breath! I’m not even exaggerating... lol I can laugh about it now because I got my things out before my first month was up. Unfortunately my mom wasn’t so lucky... Donna, sold all of my mothers belongings! Despite being informed that my mother had a special condition that made her unable to pay for a month. She demanded I pay $271 or she would auction off her entire unit. Despite policies & all of that gibberish, I could c l e a r l y see that the customer was NOT their best interest. Unfortunately, $$$ is the only thing that matters at this public storage. Would DEFINITELY NOT RECOMMEND. it smells really bad Just have to mention that one more time... Where are these dead rats coming from? -a concerned ex-customer

I never leave reviews, but I had such a great experience that I had to leave a review this time. Getting a storage unit was relatively quick and the unit was clean and spacious, but what made all the difference was the customer experience. Tony was amazing and went above and beyond! He answered every question I had with a smile on his face, and even showed me how to use the moisture absorber for my storage unit. Tony helped ensure that I could move everything into my storage unit before they closed for the day, which was very important to me as I came from out of state for the day to move everything from my apartment into the storage unit because of the work from home situation. I truly appreciate Tony for his great work, and highly recommend this location.

The rental process is automated and efficient, and online account management is a breeze. In my experience, the company's service level agreement has been met without exception--strong locking mechanisms, continuous camera surveillance, elevator access to upper floors, climate control, etc. -- Also impressive that the company has been re-investing in the facility over the past few months (new elevators, loading docks, concrete leveling, & security systems). -- And can't say enough good things about Tina -- she's an absolute joy to work with. She knows the process in and out, has personality for days, always has a smile, and I know I'll get the best answer for my needs and the right answer whenever I have a question -- she's a real asset to the company.

Absolutely Rude. The man with the limp wouldn't open the office or speak with us after opening time. He shut the doors and walked away from us just as he seen us walking up to the door. He hid around the corner and waited for us to leave. Most likely because we were there when he showed up at opening time to pay a bill. We had planned to take time out of a trip to the airport because you can't seem to use a phone number and call anybody. We had to be late to the airport because of the opening time and that it was out of the way. Just to have a little rude man refuse to help us and hide. Nope didn't get paid and no answers when you try to call for help.

The lowest quality in so many ways. Rude employees to start, maybe they were having an off-day, but then no one is in the office half the time during their posted staffed hours. Plus, no one has ever answered the phone in months. Storage unit I booked online was Not as advertised and I was forced into paying more for something different, so be Very careful. I Tried for a couple months and within that time encounter people trying to break into units, harassment from people wandering the halls and even a guy with his pants down in the elevator. Once mentioned, there was no apology or effort to have good customer service.

Online check-in was easy and I got a nice discount for reserving in advance. Trynese was on-time at 9:30am when the office opened for my check-in. Within minutes, I was ready to go and offload my items into storage through the convenience of their loading dock. Tony helped clean-up my storage unit right before move-in, sweeping the floors and clearing some old items out of the way. The hallways were clean. The air was a bit humid and I'll have to keep an eye on a few items in my storage that might be sensitive to the humid summer air. But otherwise, things are off to a great start. Thanks Trynese and Tony!

I met with Darlene to set up my storage space. She was very helpful and knowledgeable. The paperwork process went smoothly and quickly. She took the time to show me my unit , which was clean and perfect for my needs. Also I have a special circumstance with my items being brought in from California and she is working with me to have the movers come directly to the unit and unload. I live in Duluth so it would have been a drive to be there when the items are delivered. Darlene is a true professional and is very friendly. I will highly recommend the company to my family and friends.

I stuff here are kind and understanding and Soo very helpful... The building is in a hard to find location on a one way... Yet it's clean safe and secure...I'm blessed to have found this place and for a reasonable price... I have a car in the garage and a storage room... The stuff here is who make the place better and and happy there good vibes and cheerful attitude makes me not want to leave sometimes....I love this place and I highly recommend this storage facility to anyone and everyone I know or see that need a storage unit to come here to this one thank you Tina and trynese

Stopped in at the public storage office today, met with the office manager Donna, she was very helpful and friendly. I'm happy I chose this storage unit for my belongings. Very disappointed in my choice of storage Donna and her team Misplaced my bed on their end and still haven't replaced or refunded my money for they're wrongful act. Nor have they refunded me my money for payments I was making monthly I wasn't aware my bed had been removed no reason with out notifying me that they put me and the wrong storage..I highly don't recommend anyone to this storage.

So grateful to store my belongings at this location! The level of security is reassuring, the facility is kept clean, and the team that works here is beyond helpful. The fact that it has parking for renters and a loading dock on site make it easy to load in and access your unit. Tina, the manager, is kind, quick to help, and obviously takes pride in providing incredible customer service. If you need to store your belongings in the metro area, I cannot recommend this location enough!

If I could give zero stars I would. Phone is NEVER answered. Absolutely impossible to get in touch with the property manager. No working lights in the unit. When I moved in there was shattered lightbulbs all through the hallway leading to my unit, and my belongings are filthy from the dirt inside the unit. Ended up having to contact customer service to answer a simple question (which they could not do) and they hung up on me! An absolute nightmare from start to finish.

Been a customer for about 5 years, two best things are: First and foremost Calicee! She is great, helpful and always so sweet to me an my kids. Second is the indoor parking, really nice to load up the Christmas decorations all within a heated parking area! One not so great thing though is the default insurance the company public storage adds on. Most likely your homeowners covers, took me a few years to figure that out and cancel PS fee.

Trynese, Tina, and Cassandra did such a great job today! They made the process super simple, and went over everything in detail, making the experience awesome!! Trynese went above and beyond helping me figure everything out. Highly recommend coming to this public storage, as they will take great care of you and make sure you get what you need! Thanks, Public Storage! This location is lucky to have such kind thoughtful employees!

Upon move out there was no staff so I was unable to get a cart, making move out very difficult/impossible with heavy things. It's unclear how you close an account and get confirmation of it without any staff and I couldn't get any information on it from the website or from calling customer service. The price is cheap but it was reflected in the experience. One property manager split across the two Minneapolis locations.

Nice staff and knowledgeable. Any time I had questions the staff usually was able to track down the answer, even if it was at another location, state or time. I need to submit a customer compliment card for the two staff members. They are really great. . . Considering the customers that usually walk in and out of the storage area. Only complaint. Elevators stink like a metal trash can out in the sun during winter.

I would give this establishment 0 stars if I could. The manager of this building is the most clueless and incompetent individual who claims to work in customer service that I’ve ever encountered. Not only is this building creepy, but I’ve had multiple experiences in a few short months that qualify as creepy and unprofessional with said manager. Wouldn’t ever recommend to anyone. Choose literally anywhere else.

Mira works very efficient and patient. She not only shows me how to use all of the things in Public Storage and does the paper work as fast as she could, but also helps me find discount and saves over $100 for me! Although she has lots of work to do, she is very patient for every customer. I will choose the Public Storage on 2516 Wabash Ave, St. Paul with Mira if I need to store my stuff again in the future!

Even though I wasn't ready for to actually rent Alexander and Emily very professional and helped me with every step of the way determining what size unit I will need for my move. They suggested only products that made sense to me to use for our move and didn't try to sell us things we really wouldn't need. I appreciate their hard work and dedication to the job and I would definitely recommend renting here.

I gave 4 stars because I had to deal with a woman named Janice yesterday, who was very argumentative with me. Controlling. I walked away. I even tweeted about it. Public storage replied and even called me. Today, I walked in and worked with Donna, and she was very pleasant, and enjoyable to work with. We even had plenty of laughs while working out the details. Thank you Ms. Donna, keep up the good work.

Donna was very professional, patient, and courteous while I did my first rental! I am very glad to have chosen this location. Edit : As I’m getting ready to move out of this location, I wanted to give an end review as well. Public Storage in Minneapolis treated me fairly, and the staff are still great at this location. They seem down to earth, and they are kind and courteous when handling clients.

There's a lady named Donna she was very nice and understanding public storage has a charm she had people that from my point of view tried to make her lose her cool but she stayed very professional I would most definitely recommend this location to everyone I know because she stayed late just to help me with my stuff so miss Donna you go girl. Donna has outstanding customer service skills.

The manager, Calicee, does an excellent job managing the building and is very helpful with any questions/concerns you may have. Carlos is also a friendly face on the staff. Building is kept clean, riff-raff to a minimum, and it's a secure, quiet place to store your stuff. Ending the contract was a breeze, too, and I had no issues while renting a unit there. I would rent from them again.

Oh my gosh I had an AMAZING experience here. Specifically, Calicee was an amazing help. I was so stressed and tired and she did everything in her power to get me set up with ease and patience. I highly recommend this location. Ask for Calicee! She will take good care of you. The only thing I’m disappointed about are the hours of operation. Wish they were open a little later .

This location is excellent! A great friendly staff, easy to get to and very clean storage units. Some of the lower floors are being redone and not quite as nice looking but overall the facility is perfect for those residents who live in the downtown area. I had to empty my condo of some items to stage it for sale. Public Storage was easy find, use and no hassles at all.

Tina and Tori are awesome. The property is always clean and organized. I have rented storage space from public storage since 2014, and Tina and Tori are the best that have been employed at this location, period. My visit at the public storage in downtown Minneapolis was wonderful there's a young lady that works there, and her name is Janice.before i got to the storage i was furious but Janice took care of me.She is awsome, as long as she's working there I would recommend that particular storage to all my friends and family. Great storage facility, conveniently located in the middle of downtowns warehouse district across from Target Field. The associate that helped us was very friendly and professional, the units are clean and there is off street indoor parking which was awesome especially since there was a ball game going when we got there. Highly recommend!

A big thanks to Alexander for helping me find the best storage unit for my situation. I just arrived in Minneapolis from California and had a 17 foot truck to unload. I think im being scammed. I went on the internet for a deal on storage place. and they told me I got one for $24 a month. So I went their and rented one. the next month instantly it went up to 38 dollars. And now it's all the way up to 54 dollars a month. Stays firm in the price that the price is not supposed to change.

I don't normally google review but Alexander has been so helpful that I feel the need to! Dealing with a complex situation he has been the perfect person to speak with. Couldn't have asked for more and I feel in the best of hands with the team here. They have all gone above and beyond and I couldn't have asked for more!

Just would like to say that I have been with public storage for over a year now and I really love that everytime i come and go the property manager Alexander can always make my bad day good just by his friendly smile and simply saying hi as you pass by.. And on top of it its a great location over by the twins stadium...

I have always found Alexander to be very helpful and professional. I first met Alexander a few years ago when I had a storage unit at the France Ave facility. Now I have a unit at the facility on 3rd ave. I appreciate working with both Alexander and Josh. They are both great representatives for Public Storage.

I love this location. Darlene (the property manager) and kristina went above and beyond the call of duty to make sure we got a unit that was the right size. They also helped us with boxes and all of the other packing supplies we needed. I would recommend this location to anyone who may need a storage.

It is really a blessing to have Tina work for you guys honestly such a caring heart my mom died in 2017 so it was a lot of controversy over my mom's ashes they got lossed in this department twice and she retrieved them and held on to them for me I thank God for that woman thanks Tina so much

Alexander was very helpful, and bent over backwards in helping me to get the best possible deal. Cordial and conversative. As a first timer rental unit purchased, they made me feel at ease with what was expected of me as their tenant. Would recommend this place in a heartbeat!

Having my furniture at this Public Storage saved my move to Chicago. It is close to everything, having load and unload docks for trucks with great space and parking. Custumer service is fantastic. Best is their great manager Alexander who maintains the property very well.

Really well maintained facility with helpful staff. The people are really helpful. To give u an example. I would like to thank Calicee for making my moving in process as simple as possible. She went out of her way to help me and this is the least i can do to thank her.

I had a good experience when getting my storage unit. La Quita was the representative that got me signed up. Even though it was very busy when I arrived she was pleasant and helpful. This is my second time using public storage and I've had great service both times.

Fantastic service from Positivi-Tony and Melanie during a typical stressful event (moving day). My girlfriend and I arrived near closing time to this location, and Positivi-Tony was beyond helpful when it came assisting us in our move and staying open late. 10/10.

two people were in the office threatening to kill each other and screaming at the top of their lungs. Office staff were trying to calm them down. From what I gather they were arguing over a storage unit. We left in a hurry.

Rate a 7 on customer service, would have liked a cart to use as I was using crutches and found it difficult to get around. Person at desk was slow to respond to my needing assistance. Other locations are better equipped.

I worked with Megan who was a new employee and a supervisor who's name I think was Tiffany. Both women were extremely nice. They made the rental process quick, and easy. Highly recommend. Great customer service ladies!
